  • Dont worry, you'll cry enough and they'll strip him of any thing good. Perkless trapper should be the only killer in dbd.

  • Perkless trapper theory. You'd find a reason to complain about that as well.

  • Nurse on a vertical map is typically a joke as she cant reduce blink distance when upstairs. As a long time player, its not often you run into a god nurse. Enjoy a little difficulty.

I think this is one of the biggest issue's with Krasue, here's what it boils down to:

    1. When a match starts, the map spawns 5 mushrooms, and a total of 6 maximum allowed on the map at a time.
    2. A Map mushroom respawns 90 seconds after 1 is consumed.
    3. Every time Krasue changes to Head form, the location of where she dropped her body spawns another mushroom, if the map already has the maximum, the oldest spawned mushroom still on the map de-spawns.
    4. Survivors lose the Leeched status 20 seconds after consuming a mushroom, or if they are hooked.

The standard modus operandi of a Krasue player is to Leech a survivor, change to head form, pursue and down the survivor, rinse and repeat. In order to chase and down 4 survivors this way, she leaves 4 mushrooms on the map. Is there really a need for the 90 second natural map spawning?

Honestly even if they removed the map spawning mushrooms 90 seconds after one is consumed, survivors are never going to run out of mushrooms, simply due to how Krasue is generally played. If they left in the 5 spawning at the beginning of the match, and left the rest of them spawning up to the Krasue player, this would invite some new tactics for the Krasue player to try and create scarcity of the mushrooms, but ultimately, when you think about it, those tactics would be heavily flawed and highly unviable (much like that Wesker tactic to have survivors use up all the sprays, which CAN be done, but wastes so much time that the gens are down to 1 left by the time he starts hooking). The real strength of having Krasue dictate where the mushrooms spawn after the initial 5, is that it creates spawning zones wherein she's been actively chasing survivors, instead of leaving them scattered all around the map, which would make the game more fun for both the survivors and the Krasue since no one will have to run all the way across the map to get their Cure. I believe reducing the distraction of cross map mushrooms spawns, and keeping it all in the area that the Krasue is actively hunting would save a lot of time for the survivors, and make the game more intense for all players.

Squeaky wheel gets the oil. Survivor cry, killer suffer

Noed is so bad compared to any second chance perk ever since it was gutted, everyone sees when it activities and they can literally see it when within a certain range and only activities at the end of the game where dead hard can be used multiple time throughout the whole game and the killer doesn't get to know if you even have it

cant tell survivors these things. its all one sided for them.

it's terrible ive been locked into games for 3 days straight! quit the game get a dc penalty! please, either fix your modder issue or disable this ignorance so myself and others having this issue can enjoy the game.

  • You get 202030 of those i suck so hold my hand perks. Hardly equivalent

I love playing against this killer but I haven't seen her for more than a month now. What happened?

She's awful now. If its a 99.9% chance I lose a game id rather it be with a fun killer I could meme with.

  • I understand 100% the frustration this game can cause. For me when 3 gens pop before you get a down because you try and play a chill game as bubba instead of an s tier killer, I wanna sling some thing too.

  • Mustve written this after a fresh myers loss. I enjoy playing as and against personally. Forces you to play a more in a more stealth based fashion. Every killer has a counter, find out which works for you.

  • @ArkInk said:

There's so much variance between the viability of the current killer cast that a broad general change like base regression affecting every killer is a mistake imo

Doctor, Ghostface, Bubba, Pig, and a bunch of low tiers might benefit well from a base regression changes without breaking the game.

The obligatory mention of Blight, Ghoul, Nurse? Could be far nastier. Even strong but balanced killers like Spirit or Dracula could become a bit much depending on how big the change is.

To summarize, I think the solution currently is case by case killer changes rather than buffing general mechanics.

I dont disagree completely but to go case by case killer rating implies every one is of the same skill level which isnt at all the case. One blight is 90% going to 4k every match where the other may struggle to get a down. Making this change almost impossible.

  • I understand completely what you need. Devs, consider starting every survivor on a different map forcing the killer to travel via space ships that take the time of 1 completed gen to reach the next map. Only allow 110 killers on the roster at this point to ensure if there's a glitch in the space ship that said gen is still safely completed. Probably best to cut gen time in half at this point as well, 23 seconds or how ever quick it is in 2026 just isnt short enough. Have a good day.

  • I think it's a joke to have implemented kick prevention in the first place. Survivors already a brain dead role! Having you not have to consider a strategy such as not dead zoning an area or confining the remaining gens to one side of a map was ridiculous. I suggest every dbd player be forced to beat level 10 on Nintendo tetris and learn that strategy is good.

  • Im gonna camp, tunnel, proxy and slug 99.9% of the time and have absolutely 0 regard to what you feel about it. I bought and play this game the same as any other, to enjoy it and I enjoy it alot more when I win! No matter if im using nurse, clown or trapper, the worst or the best killer my strategy has no need to change. Why? Because this is the game and how I choose to play it. My intent isnt to make your day bad. If you dont like how we play and can't emotionally handle being hammered by a pixel then go play Pac-Man on Atari where the only competition is your self or go break some bricks in mortal kombat 1 on Sega genesis an internet free system and learn how to test your might a/c/a/c.

  • Its so bad for you that you're now calling for the most bullied killer in dbd history to get a nerf? You guys baffle me so much its insane. Just delete the roster and let us only play perkless trapper, it's their only hope.

Ghoul by the way can be out played by playing a stealth game

Saying that a killer can be outplayed by "stealth" is just another way of phrasing "the only way to win is not to play at all".

That isn't true. Maybe its a way that youre not interested in playing but that's different.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Survivors do this to literally anyone. I remember one of my teammates dcing a few seconds into the match as soon as ( i assume) he heard the clown TR. No easy match = give up. Cant blame them if theyre soloq tho.

I definitely blame them. I personally dont think you should be punished for not enjoying your game and leaving it but I also think if you dont want the hard games along with the easy ones then go play some thing single player that let's you pick your difficulty.

IDK what you are talking about. This game is more stealthy than ever with loops being nerfed over time and stronger antiloop designs appearing. Not to mention existing antiloop powers such as pigs and myers getting improved. The legacy dbd you are thinking of is infinite loops such as in haddonfield with balanced landing or the old cow loop in the hillbilly map (i forgot what it's called but there's a cow there it's infamous). Nowadays this game requires you to be stealthy to survive. Even comp players use stealth often because it's often the most effective and safest way to delay a killer.

Cant compare comp play to normal, its two different game styles. The only stealth happening in this game is new players. Killers fear nea, nea doesn't fear killers unless your named blight or nurse. Ghoul is s tier but not on a god nurse level. If ghouls are whacking you over and over slap on made for this, resilience and windows of opp, pre drop and get you a 5 gen run in.

  • @Zuiphrode said:

Trapper's largest issue is the same as Ghostface: if a player follows you the entire game, you basically have no power.

Agreed and will add that even with that it can be difficult to beat a good trapper. Hate going against him, enjoy 90% of my games using him.

ghoul, krasue, myers rework, and the onslaught of heavy handed nerfs to survivor perks and addons, the abandonment of anti-slug, bare-minimum anti-tunnel, ignorance of match-making issues, and permission of killer oppressiveness have all culminated to the baby-ification and toddlering of the killer role.

Killer toddlering is a joke right? Do you play this game outside of bare bone solo survivor? Survivors literally have 40 tools already given to you to counter tunnel and slug issues but you still complain for even more? Ds, conviction, dh, otr, deliverance, extra hook states, stacking gen speed perks, endless boon potential and that just names a few. That's not sabo or beamer squads that's not head on gangs or brand new part squads. The endless hud info telling you exactly what your team is doing. What more can they give you? Wanna just load up into a game with an instant 3 and a half gens done? Do you need more then 453929 pallets per each map? Do you just wanna instawin and not even worry about a competitive time? I main killer but play survivor quite a bit as well and the abundance of ruin a killers time perks and items given is absurd already.

  • Complain long and enough and they'll change em for you. If all we had was a perk less trapper to play you still wouldn't be happy.

You are talking about the first iteration of her which has been LONG removed from the game. I'm talking about the nerf that kneecapped her and made her borderline useless for over a year -_- You are one of the "Legacy" haters that only think of the far past instead of the broken present.
Ghoul is most certainly NOT fine. He has too much free pressure to his kit that requires precise counterplay that is wildly out of proportion to the effort he has to give. Genuinely a broken killer that gets a slew of unearned pressure. It's almost as bad as Spirit on release with her moronic meta of "Standing Still", except worse because there isn't even guesswork anymore. He just gets free hits, free map traversal, cooldown abuse, bugs that make versing him unbearable, and everything else I listed already.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4041357#Comment_4041357

Exactly. This iteration of her no longer exists. People hold onto something that no longer exists and use it as justification for bias.

Ghoul by the way can be out played by playing a stealth game, he's not one we can just bully around by using head on and beamers with our friends and that's what people dont like about him. Adapt to a different play style (one legacy players had) and find more success. You legacy player haters forget that til noob3 made it cool to loop killers this was a very different game.

Merchant has sadly been useless in any thing near mid to high mmr since her 3 gen nerf. Fun and useless are totally different conversations we could have. As a many hour 90% kill rate merchant i feel as if my opinion on her is pretty solid.

  • Merchants 3 gen was almost unbeatable (almost). Ghoul is fine leave em be.

  • Let's just nerf gen regression completely, make them take half as long to complete and start them all out half progressed.

I think the difference here is the ease at which his abilities can be used.
I guess the argument against him would be, 1. the first hit is pretty much always free. 2. pallets aren't great against him when he can jump over them 3. his cooldown after using lunge to catch up is to quick.

With that said, I for one like all of his other abilities and way he plays. I simply dislike point 3 - the extremely low cooldown Ghoul has coming out of lunge.

I feel it needs to go from 2 seconds, to 3 (or even 3.2 seconds). It's certainly not a massive difference to anything else he does - and if anyone were to think that'd massively nerf Ghoul then it just show how strong that power is.
Once that ability is changed, I feel this killer would be in a more deserving spot.

Though i disagree I respect it. I personally prefer him to stay as is but if you've been around for a little while then you know as well as I do, it could go either way. They could buff him or skull merchant him within the week.

Not really… the title of my post is exactly that…. a title which essentially is rhetorical and really my thoughts on it.

And didn't even remotely ask the 2nd question in any way. I stated the fact that I believe BHVR don't care about changing it.

Thanks for adding such amazing value to the discussion.

I think ghoul is great the way he is. He provides another option for top tier or high mmr players and also gives new players a fighting chance without having to invest 4000 hours into nurse. Your issue from what Im reading is you need to pre drop pallets and hold w making it much less likely to be caught quickly. Survivors greeding pallets against this guy is a big no no unlike 90% of the killer roster and survivors dont enjoy not being able to run a guy for 5 gens (I get it). Im personally happy to have a 3rd killer that can compete with 2025 survivors.

No one has said make him F-tier.

If it were up to survivors, all killers would be f tier. Don't wanna play s tier killers? Stop winning matches and play the new guys who dont know how or who to win with yet.

They would get bored fast these days survivors just dont want sweat games (even the fact they do gens as fast ss they can), they dont want friendly pacifist killer brcause its free and its not chalange and mostly they dont want to go against most effective killers strategies like tunneling, sluging (even the fact most of them use the survivors most effective strategies to like fast gens, bodyblocking with endurance or if they can, etc.), its hard nowdays no matter what you do and how nice or chill you play survivors will still complain.

    Well spoken

Most Killers dont require a massive amount of skill. And you can win games with all Killers in the Roster, even the weaker ones.

And it is not even that Survivors want to only play against weak Killers, there are strong Killers in the game which are totally fine and almost nobody complains about (and "almost" only because there will be some people who just dont like a certain Killer).

But there is no need to have a Killer being braindead easy AND S-Tier at the same time.

But its okay to have a brain dead killer in f tier... make it make sense?

  • Let's just all play perkless trapper to amuse the masses. Dbd forbid a killer be viable and not require a massive amount of skill making him fun at all mmrs.

  • @THE_Crazy_Hyena said:

Correct. It seems that many nowadays don't seem to remember infinites, old balanced landing, instablinds, insta heals, pallet vacuum, old dead hard, exhaustion recovery while sprinting, RPD third floor, and so much more.
Also, not mentioning how much slower killer actions were in the past, even back when most killers were M1's, and the only fast ones were Billy and Nurse.

I remember these times and killer actions weren't thisssssss much slower, you describe like they took 5 seconds off the break action. The issue is, in those days the game was played alot slower and survivors spent alot of time being "potatoes", you know the term if you were actually part of it. Very few survivors had the skills to properly loop those infinites as most spent the game in hiding. Then noob3 comes along and shows you guys that its okay to be brave and what not. Then comes infinite information with windows of opp which makes even the worst loopers viable as they can simply run from pallet to pallet and predrop now. Insta blind was only changed due to a tournament show casing the game yet made killer look like a laughing stock. Pallet vacuum could work for or against you as in you were 50/50 to get the hit. It's apples to oranges, the argument of old and new youre trying to make.

Good for you, but that's not the kill rate that the devs want, and eventually they will nerf tunneling so that that's no longer possible. So enjoy your tunneling until then.

Wasn't intended to have voice coms either.. typical survivor player though, won't mention that part.

  • This isn't rage bait as they claim, I do this! My f tier killers sit around 90% + kill rates. This style is how that's possible.

I assume we're not in the same tax bracket when it comes to games. Im glad your game is enjoyable without these tactics.

  • Im on ghoul, we dont get clapped.

At least I can appreciate the honesty as well. If only all Killer mains were honest like this, the devs might have a better idea on which direction to take their game.

I could also say if all survivor mains were honest with how broken that side of the game can be, maybe the devs would fix that too? Just earlier had a match where there was a flash light (3 in the swf) save so I in return started slugging my way to a win. Good survivors wanting saves dont die in spots you can look at wall yet I get cursed in the end game for doing what I do? Make it make sense..

There is no point in denying it or argue against it either.

How am I blamed for your miserable experience? My miserable failed experiences have taught me to play in this manner so that I'm no longer miserable. Winning is the goal for both sides and I do very well on my end.

  • I didnt make your game miserable and the problem is you think I did. Devs designed this system where kills matter, not I. If the game design is miserable, try taking a break and play a single player game that has no win or lose.

Merchant was overnerfed because many cryed how strong she is.

    Lol youre 100% right!

  • I personally have minimal problems 4king on any map, doesn't change the fact that it can be a miserable experience on many killers which isn't your experience. Badham, lery's, garden, rpd.. the list could go on. these map trials are for feedback. I like the map, as with all the maps. In my opinion, like alot of maps, it could use some adjustments.

I prefer maps that feel like they have actual buildings rather than randomly generated patterns of rocks, debris, and stacked junk.

You mentioned "maps" being spoon fed to killers. I simply named just 1 that isn't even playable for most killers and you defend it.

Only thing that got nerfed hard because of crying was skullmerchant and it was probably biggest nerf in the history of DBD so Idk who thinks the antichanges dodnt went live because the side with less players cryed (devs dont listen minority but mojority mostly).

Downvote it to bottom but its fact that is well documented and one of biggest devs mistakes with things like making DBD free on epic games (giving cheaters thousands of accounts and making problem that is still huge today).

Merchant was nerfed because players like me absolutely abused her ability to hold down a 3 gen for an hour or more. In hundreds of games I didnt come close to losing with merchant in this period. Im a killer main but id like to think I'm fair and that was wayyyyy broken.

  • @Philscooper said:

are we going to ignore that this update alone that was promised to survivors 9 months ago.

with anti-changes against slugging, tunneling and camping,
got cancelled because you guys complained about it?.

the pallets also got changed in your favour.
medkit addons are basically nerfed or even killed off (septic)

and overall, you guys in this year had more buffs and better events,
than survivors even got as content.
fog-vials is dead and party pallets are useless and a hassle to perform.
vigil got a cap nerf, wake up just got killed for no reason,
conviction even got a nerf with plot-twist not reactivating it anymore.

meanwhile you guys have springtrap and kaneki,
(almost) every 2v8 has new killers you are able to play,
    survivors got…bloodmoon aaaand…thats it.
(which got ruined halfway by the butchered kaneki release)

anniversery, you guys got remote hooks back….for some reason.
halloween, void got nerfed more because….reasons.

im just confused what you guys want at this point because, all your needs, for the most part are met.

These anti every thing changes you mentioned got pushed back due to being poorly executed, not crying. They've given you 200 perks to combat tunneling and slugging! Pair just a couple of those with windows of opp and you can easily run "most" killers for 5 gens. If this isn't the case then simply get a little more experience so that you can loop for extended times. Blaming one side or the other for game changes is absurd, we've all witnessed completely baffling decisions made for this game that had nothing to do with cry or not cry.

  • People talk about this big pallet nerf but don't look at the fact that it was just a month ago that they added them. Unless you just started the game yesterday then I'm not sure how you can agree that adding them was ever a good idea.

  • @MDRSan said:

Have killers gotten so used to maps spoon feeding them survivors by now that any time there's a map that doesn't blatantly do so it's some huge problem? Personally I don't mind Ormond Lake Mine as killer or survivor but I haven't played it since this last update. Given that 9.3 was another big gift to killers that nerfed pallets, buildings, and jungle gyms for survivors I sincerely doubt it was made more difficult for killer players if it was changed at all.

We must not play the same game if you think badham holds killers hands. In 2025 there should be a clear understanding of what makes a map fun and or fair for both sides. Obviously, there isn't.
