  • You mean you have yet to read the Killer Rule Book yet? believe the authors name is Survivor. Read it, it is a quick read. Basically make sure you do, as the killer, everything possible so the survivors can have fun! :)

On the other side of the coin

Everykiller is swinging through pallets as they know they cannot get stunned because of the pallet bug

Are you trying to compare an EXPLOIT, something that is brought into the game to screw over the killer to something the killer has NO controller over? This perk was never ran till now. Now it is ran to cheat, that is what it should be called. Me hitting a survivor thru a pallet is not MY choice. It is the update. I do not like getting unfair hits or not getting stunned when I should. But breakdown is brought to cheat.

  • @twistedmonkey said:

Players have not been banned from using bug exploits for a while now and the main reasoning is not everyone knows about the bug and they would be banning for people simply using the perk.

Both sides have been banned in the past for doing such things in the past. It did not happen just once with the legion scenario so its not a double standard. Players keep bringing up the legion scenario but others bugs which benefited killer have happened and no one was banned.

The scenario that makes some sense would be to deactivate perks or addons etc when they are bugged but at the same time this can also remove data they may need to help find why it's happening and fix it quicker.

Why did it take such little time for a announcement that jflicking- which actually takes skill- to be called an exploit that will be gone soon. BUT this breakdown exploit (I am sure the devs can see their stats, that breakdown was basically NEVER USED until this whole bug happened.) has yet to be even talked about? Breakdown was never ran, ever. Now you have 4 person swfs all bringing it and somehow, some way, this is not a red flag?

  • @Mandy said:

This isn't the definitive answer (because the Legion issue was 2 years ago, and things have changed a lot since then) but from what I remember with that particular bug, the matches were effectively held hostage as it took so long to mend. In this case with Breakdown matches can still end, the player will still bleed out even if they can't be hooked.

Care to explain how survivors going out of their way to take away available hooks is NOT taking the game hostage? Is it because of basement?

  • you know Sadako Yamamura/Samara Morgan has the ability to WISH people to death or stair at people till they die/go crazy. Highly doubt it would be here.

  • Umm, why do mains of one side always make this community divided? Last update killers got bugged to hell. To the point some were unplayable. Clearly the graphic change on the survivors has screwed up their hitboxes. Since they use spaghetti code there will always be bugs when an update is released.

  • Seems hit detection is either off or they some how messed it up. I am sorry, I main killer and have been noticing some weird hits. All I can say is that I hope they hotfix this faster than last patch when they bugged 4 killers to the point to where they were unplayable.

  • Doctor too high. Ghost face much too low. Clown too high. Huntress too low. Not bad other than those small changes.

  • buffing a killer that does nothing but camp and slug who can use their power within seconds of crushing Victor

  • @Nobsyde thank you, playing more the speed felt right. the lunge though is still off. it is too short and idk feels weird.

  • Thank you. I was thinking the speed was likely fixed after games, but the frenzy lunge was very unreliable and felt to short. I mean I am no legion 1000 hour play. but I can tell the lunge is off. Thank you for doing the math and explaining in good detail

  • @ZtarShot said:

Has anyone else noticed the rise in people with either fairly new accounts/little to no posts? They're out here sharing some fair opinions, some things that are downright wrong, bumping threads, there's a lot of bumping in recent times, of course by a lot I mean a couple, but that is still a lot.

There's nothing wrong with it, but why are they all flocking in right now?

i made one to complain about legion bug and try to be more apart of the community. like try not to get survivor mains and killers mains fight so much xD

I'm a bit unsure about otz's video - however this is me playing as Legion yesterday:

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/832327874

and I didn't feel any slow down (and you can see a feral frenzy lunge already at 00:47 - perfectly normal). Now that I rewatch it after otz's video I'm thinking "wait, am I not a bit slow?", but I can assure you that's not how I felt (and I even say it in the video). I'm basically sure this "speed" thing is just perception, especially since people also talk about the "no lunge", which is absolutely there.

Legion's lunge is still not fully fixed and I feel and so does other Legion mains with 1000s of hours combined say they are faster but not 5.2- it is probably around 4.9 ish. I am no math wiz. But in game it does not feel as fast. idk why they cannot release a video showing the math that shows here is 4.6 here is 5.2 because the vids i have seen has him clearly, not even needing math, not making it far enough. I would guess around 3 missing three meters .

  • Haven't you heard? Legion is fixed the slow speed was just a placebo effect due to FOV. Even though Otz and Raging Ryuga said that he is still not fixed. Both who have thousands of hours combined on Legion. So yeah. Even though someone did math and said that they are faster than 4.6 but not at a 5.2 speed. The math showed that he should be making 5 meters further than the current videos are showing.

If I were you I would just get to a high rank im at rank 11 now I haven't seen survivors with any ds or deadhard. More experienced survivors may not use those perks I'm not sure tho.

lol I am rank 10-11, maybe there is a fall off. But red ranks run it like 75% of the time I bet. But still if there is an obssession you need to respect DS

  • moris should not be an add on, it takes up too much bp from a extremely grindy game. just have it so a killer can turn it on or off or at this point just make one mori and give it out for free. Because the only bonus from the mori is avoiding unbreakable and DS now, but who saves DS? Only smarter survivors will ever save it. I am just tired of the grind and having like 10 red moris that are now just a way to avoid some perks when i would rather just farm more blood points to grind.

Edit: if the killer could turn on or off moris the survivors would know if it is on. Though I now kinda see this is a dumb idea. just make it one addon that never goes away or at least cheaper. I wish I could turn in all my moris for BP i never even used it

I agree I have never used ds and currently I'm rank 11 and I never see any of the solo survivors using ds seems like newer players may use ds. I tried using ds once tho I can never hit the mark lol.

It is not that difficult to hit. and Red ranks there is usually at least 2 DS and in a swf there could be 3 or 4. There is no reason not to run it. It is a get out of jail free card that can actually flip the balance in the game 100%.

As for toxic killers and survivors. They will always be here. It sucks, as a new player getting steamrolled at the time when i was rank 18 killer by a swf that were reds and purples getting called trash and t bagged and they would not even end the game. It was pretty demoralizing. That is why killers are quitting, this is a fact. But a lot of it is just mindset because these people won't leave. So gotta learn to not let it get to you. I will say a face camping killer is the most toxic thing someone can do.

Can you explain to me why keys are such a big idea I just don't understand?

To me, it is just another get out of jail free card that the survivors already have so many. They can plunder it without you knowing and win when they should not. Not all killers can patrol like Nurse, Spirit, Billy, or Freddy. So gens will be done. And the worst part is that it makes the killer think twice about killing survivors because if they do key comes into play. I new moris needed a change. So I only think it is fair keys get a change. espcially when they bring an addon to put the hatch somewhere they know.

I usually point at killers to try and meme with them during matches, and sometimes they take it as me trying to give away a teammate's position. I just like acknowledging their presence and I forgot that being a jerk is a possibility and I felt so bad!! I would never sandbag, I just wanna have fun!

Pointing is a way to show killers where a teammate that is hiding and holding the game hostage. So it may be something to be careful about.

I don't think any one side is more toxic than the other. The whole us vs them, survivor vs killer, console vs pc argument does little but to divide the community and result in unproductive partisanship.

Many people play both sides and if you don't you should because you are missing out on half of the game. Yes I play more killer and so by design see more toxic survivors but I also play a lot of survivor and see toxic killers and survivors from that side too.

There is 4x survivor and 1x killer, you are gonna see more bad behaviour from survivors because there are more of them.

Basically its an online game where there is little consequence and plenty of anonymity to go around, an environment that empowers the worst to indulge in the giant tantrum throwing cry babies they are.

Its the nature of PUG online gaming that you will be thrown in with people you would never game with under any circumstances because they lack the emotional maturity to play games with others. We all know that one person we don't want to invite to boardgame night because their goal is to ruin it for everyone when they don't get what they want.

Remember when you were a kid and you knew that one kid who always threatened to take the ball and go home if they didn't get what they wanted. That kid is now applying the same childish mentality to online games (often as a childish adult).

Bring on the bots I say. Let me decide if I want to spend an evening with these people or not. Because I love this game but what can really kill it is the bad gamers.

I agree with this- but it is not realistic unfortunately. this game inspires a "Us vs Them" mentality. So can only ask for those who are not toxic to not give into being toxic and hope the community realizes, when I say community I am pointing at survivors. That no matter who is more toxic, killers are quitting the game and this is why you have such long queues at parts of the day. Or you get Red Ranks going against a level 17

  • @Slendy4321 said:

Funny thing is it's always the opposite for me, I met some pretty TOXIC killers for instance I think I'm doing a pretty good job looping, keeping the killers attention so my team can do gens then BOOM I get downed, put on a hook and face camped. Even tho I didn't tbag once, guess I'm toxic for trying to survive? But I hear you man there are some of those Survivors who do exactly what you described and that's when you face camp them till their dead, it might cost you the game but they're getting their just desserts

Thing with survivors is they can be toxic to their teammates and the killer. So it is just a fact there are more people playing survivor so there are more toxic survivors. Explains why match making is so bad because mid level killers quit due to massive bugs and nerfs and optop of that survivors in red rank that are swf are acting toxic towards them.

  • @Avilgus said:

"i do NOT tunnel, camp, or slap people when they are on the hook. As a survivor i KNOW how messed up that is."

Trust me, i got more "toxicity" when i follow survivor rulesbook.

This happened to me- like I looped a huntress for a bit got downed and she literally sat there face camping for five gens stabbing me. I only stayed on hook to help the team out. But there is a game where I am clearly going against a newer killer that I loop for 3 gens and KINDRED on, and they do not even attempt to save me because they are a swf- the blight was not even face camping me. They were just bad teammates.

  • Every community has a toxic portion. But logic dictates that since there are by far more survivors, there will be more toxic survivors. But that does not mean killers are not toxic. Like everything you said is true and it happens more than a killer looking like they will give hatch only to close it. Slugging is complained about, but there are many killers that need to at points. and sometimes "tunneling" is the smart thing to do, if they are right there, why not go for a second down? It was their own fault for not playing smart. I am a killer main, but when I play survivor I get tunneled, but I mean I suck and I get they wanna pick off the weak link. Personally I try my best not to tunnel unless or slug unless it makes sense or if they sent me to a bad map or brought a key.

Well I checked myself and as far as I can see they are correct; Legion isn't bugged it was just the FOV.

I clocked his movement speed alongside a house with a stop watch timer.

Average travel time alongside that house in normal movement is 2.45 Seconds.

Average travel time alongside that house in frenzy movement is 2.05 Seconds

15% of 2.45 is about half a second or so; so even calculating for my trigger time with the stop watch it's absolutely faster and seems to be the correct amount faster.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBD9VV3mnuQ

So, doesn't appear Legion is bugged, he just isn't as good as people wanted to imagine he was.

When you have Otz and Ryuga, two people with hundreds if not thousands of hours on Legion say they are slow and their lunge is broke, I really tend to think they may be correct. At least partially- Legion does not move at the 5.2, but they do not move at the 4.6.

  • Someone in another thread did the math, but did not provide a video of them testing it. but they are faster than the 4.6 but not the 5.2, somewhere in between. Also the lunge was a bit off.

  • He is faster, but I feel he may not be as fast as before. like a fraction slower. Though I could be wrong of course.

  • That is a lot to ask when the team is clearly already overwhelmed. I get it, they get a lot of hate and a lot of people go too far. But I am more worried about Legion being playable let alone a rework.

  • I never ran it because saw it as a scummy thing to do and I am sure that a lot of people did the same. Now I can avoid a DS or unbreakable or deliverance. It is just a matter of how long it takes and whether or not you can spare the time. But now survivors need to worry about it and be afraid about saving their DS.

  • This person just provided proof. I mean included the math and pictures and a explanation. Now I am asking the same evidence. Because maybe it does not happen every game, but it is clear people do experience it.

  • Also Legion is an easy high B low A when not having a bug that make them completely unplayable

  • Nurse that low is amusing to see. Got a chuckle out of me.

  • Do not fret everyone, it is just in our heads. The FOV was the only bug and the devs have come out with an explanation and proof... I am being sarcastic.

  • ^ Same I registered just to say this. and thank you @Kees_T you are a blessing.

  • I mean shouldn't that be the devs or on the team to prove that Legion speed is fixed? I am not saying it could not just be a placebo effect, I am just saying it should not be the players job to prove this. You would need to record Legion's point of view and get a friend to a custom game to get a third person point of view and record it and then have them run next to each other. A lot of work.

there is a video of a live stream of otz showing it off in a game and saying it is not fixed.

  • it is clear to everyone Legion's speed is not fixed. Otz said so as well, tested it on stream and it is the same. The dude got 50 wins in a row on Legion, thing him and raging ryuga would both know if Legion was bugged. Can a DEV actually address this issue? No offence.
