It doesnt do anything if you actually bring it into the match, i dont think it even appears when showing the offerings in play

Don’t know if it shows before the match but it definitely shows after the match. Thats how I found it out. I saw it in the loadout of a teammate after the match.

As it is obvious at current state, and as I stated dozen times before, "carrot" would not help to force bad killers from camping. We have tons of perks that work against camping, we have strong SWF teams (that would wipe floor with camping killer). The only way to stop camping is the "stick" (like make Reassurance base kit, or stop timer when killer nearby, or something else). People (especially bad ones) would never go for hard way in most cases, when you can get benefit here and now, no matter if it would be more beneficial in the future.

Literally, 5 minutes ago, some clown (killer character too) accused everyone of "genrushing", although he would not leave the hook entire match, and not leave the "slugged" survivor in the end. Luckily, I was matched with great team, that changed hooks 1v1 and that way we got to the end.

For sure, but not in every game you have a great SWF as a team. I absolutely agree that it would also make sense to implement some more “stick like” motivation for the killer to leave the hook and to stop tunneling.

However, you are saying that this would not help against camping killers. While this might be true in some cases, it surely does not apply for tunneling killer's. I see a lot of very good killer’s that tunnel the first survivor out of the game. I would even say that the majority of good killer’s play that way because it is the logical thing to do from the pure winning oriented perspective. And those killers would now put them self in a disadvantage for the rest of the game.

If they implemented this system and i was a survivor who got off hook, i would do gens in front of the killer and literally chase the killer to body block. Whats the worst thats gonna happen? That i get slugged? Big deal.

Well, yes you could do that. But I don’t think that this would work out very well. Since the killer has no motivation to camp, he will most likely be in a chase with the next survivor when you get rescued. Once he hooked that new survivor you become a potential target again. And I would argue that being slugged is a big deal. You are not only inefficient for your team, another player has to come for you and get you up witch leads to 2 people that are not doing anything while one person is being chased.

And you are also forgetting that the killer still has the ability to kill you. If you just throw yourself on to the killer, and therefore making the game an 3 v 1, the killer will also have an advantage.

Here’s the thing. If people are willing to DC with a penalty, it’s clear nothing will stop it. Also if they can’t DC, they’ll simply troll their teammates or AFK. The result is really the same. Which is why BHVR needs to look at reasons behind DCs and attack those, versus attacking the DCs themselves.

Also, wouldn’t killer players be hurt more by not being able to have a normal match, if all of their opponents are frequent DCers? Not a side of the equation ever really brought up or discussed.

Again, my system is not meant to directly stop people from DC'ing it is just meant to seperate those survivors who DC on a regular basis from those who dont. Therfore i also dont see that your second point(that people would just go AFK or troll) would rly be a problem since nothng is stopping them from DC'in, they are just more likely to match with other people that DC often in future games.

In regards to the killer players, I don't really see the problem (and that's not because i am not empathetic to killers. I am a killer main my self). The Karma system would only make it so that survivors that DC a lot are matchet with each other. That would actually make the experience for killers better, since killers will only once in a while get a match where everyone DC's, instead of running into macthes where 1 out of 4 survivors DC's on a regular basis. And i would prefer that. If only one Survivor DC's in a match i will have an unbalanced experience for the next 8min(or whatever the average game time is). If everyone in the trial DC's, I can just move on to the next game where most likely nobody is going to DC.

But maybe I misunderstand your point(?). Why would you say that the experience would get worse from the killer's perspective?

People DC for all sorts of reasons, sometimes out of their control. There’s already DC penalties in place, and a dwindling player base. Don’t want to discourage more people to leave altogether.

Yeah, of course it's not always in their control. Sometimes you just lose your Internet connection. But my solution is not to give everyone that DC's one time out of 100 games instantly -1000 karma or something. Its like baby steps. Only those who DC on a regular basis would get such a bad karma scour that it becomes really noticeable.

And yes there is already a DC penalty in place, but lattly I have a DC early in the match every fifth game or so. So it is obviously not enough. On top of that, I want to punish those who DC with this system. All I want is that people that DC often will get matchet with each other and destroy each other's games instead of mine.

  • As far as we know it was not BHVRs decision to remove him. Netflix took away there licence so BHVR is not allowed to sell him.
