  • How is still bug still a thing after more than 3 months…

  • This whole thread really just smells of us vs them.

Yes survivors wait at hatch, spam noise notifications and t-bag at gates

Yes killers wait at hatch, slug all 4 players to bleed out and hit on hook

Idk why we need more topics about "why does this happen", it's simply cause both sides have annoying ass players, who want to rile up the other side.

Personally i believe spirit should be 115 just like blight. If blight can be normal speed killer i'm really not understanding why Chucky and Spirit are 4.4.

Spirit has been getting nerfed a lot lately and i feel like her cooldown is now too long and basespeed is too slow.

If anything Blight should be 110%.

Spirit is a powerful killer. She doesn't need to be able to traverse the whole map with one power use. Idk why you think one of the best killers needs buffs because she doesn't excel in every area of the game.

Kicking a gen is the killer’s objective or is it to hook and kill the survivor?

    What is this argument even?

Survivors objective is to escape the trial, so I guess they should just get basekit self-heals then?

Kicking gens is one of the ways to make sure a killer has more time to fulfill his objective. Just like Survivors healing gives them a better chance at escaping.

to be fair i holding back creativity because some people are scared of vomit, clowns, blood ect. is a bad thing

especially when a mori is the end of the game, just look at ur phone or press the windows key

Can you give me one good argument, why an OPTIONAL filter for Moris is a bad thing? Please.

  • The fact that people genuinely argue against an optional feature that would not impact their experience whatsoever is mind boggling to me.

"This is a horror game, deal with it or play something else" like what the actual f

Why do you guys think it's necessary to act like such a douche here?

Some people are sensitive to certain things. This game is very mild in terms of gore. The only real exceptions are the Moris. What's wrong with someone wanting to enjoy DBD, but not being able to stomach certain things?

There is not a single good argument to be made against an optional filter here.

My dude. The guy I was replying to said that low ranks inflate kill rates. I replied that at high ranks, the rates that drastically different. And you come in "bUt iT OnLy coUntS foR 5%!"

the 200 hours nea dying on the first hook because she got downed by a baby trapper is not something that should be part of the stats, but well, it IS part of the kill rate so we´ll never know the real statistics

They literally revealed high MMR escape rates as well...

Ranks 20s inflate the killrate a lot and that should be obvious

I guess that's why even in high MMR, the escape rate for survivors (except 4-stack) is pretty close to 40% ???

  • @monochromeworld said:

Pig needs serious buffs not a nerf. the dev patch notes is complete joke. Game is already survivor side and they nerf already a weak killer. They need a buff her traps for example: They should activate immediatly after unhooking and timer should be 1 minute 30 second.

They literally JUST revealed the average kill rate, how are people still saying this game is survivor sided, when the official stats show that the average kill rate is above 50%, meaning that more than 2 survivors get killed on average,

  • You don't. Live with the shame.

  • Yesterday played 2x as survivor with 2 friends, killer got all 4 survivors quite easily, being quite sweaty too.

Today played 3x as killer, got 4k's in all 3 matches without having to play very intensely. And I am not a great killer player.

...What is the problem of Ultimate Weapon it does nothing if you're tunneling camping or 3 genning and it encourages the best part of this game chasing I seriously don't understand what the problem of UW is

Killers can quite literally use it to find certain survivors to tunnel them, what are you talking about.

The "problem" of the perk is, that it has exactly one counter-perk that is extremely niche otherwise and can actually be detrimental due to the debuff it gives to totem and chest speeds...

  • @solarjin1 said:

why would a big content creator do a vib on such a game breaking bug. knowing half the players will probably do it?

I mean, based on what Otz said in a video not too long ago, even "big content creators" don't get anywhere when they raise problematic stuff like this.

So raising awareness by making a video on it, is probably the next best thing

  • @Carlchen said:

the tome will come tomorrow. but the LNY event is one of the most beautifl one and they said there will be no this year. So I don't understand. And hope I hear it wrong.

Yep, that is correct. Has been confirmed by the devs on stream and dataminers.

  • @fussy said:

While whole community crying about tunneling, i want to ask: why it's bad that killer forces his objectives, but "oh well what else should we do", when survivors do the same?

Completely ignore everything in game because of 4 Resi, 4 Adrens? Oh yeah, these 4-5 minutes matches are completely fair

I'm so tired of being punished for non-tunneling with 4 Adrens, really. (No, Terminus is not good perk against it and i don't want undeserved kills because of NOED)

4 toolboxes with BNP? Sure thing, gen tunneling doesn't exist you stopid killah mains

3 gens done by first hook every second game? 8% of killer's objectives vs 60% of survivor's objectives? Oh your chases are bad. What, it's *popular killer main streamer* match? Oh, survivors are just better than

I mean, all these questions are rhetorical, i know how it's going on both sides and why it's a case. All i want is so people remember that both sides can complete their task crazy fast. And if you want to punish one side for doing their job on a game level, you can't don't do the same for other.

So when i read something crazy like "make basekit DS 10 seconds on both hooks without consp. actions" and don't see "also basekit 60 sec Deadlock and 50% pain res" from some people here pretending both sides players, I always laugh really well from that.

Game really need to be slightly slower on both sides imo. But it also can't be "party game", when game is literally one side competing another and both want to win.

The thing you seem to fail to realise is... What are survivors supposed to do besides gens?

There is nothing, besides unhooking/healing when possible.

Whereas as a killer, you have the option to tunnel, camp, slug, etc. You can progress the game without doing those things, but survivors? They can only do gens.

There is no reason to cleanse unlit totems. There is no reason to open chests.

  • I am personally a bit disappointed with the amount of licensed content we have been getting.

    I know, weird complaint.

But I am not reaaaally into most of the franchises that we have in DBD (though I am at least familiar with almost all).

So for me, this is just a character that won't get many skins, can't be bought with shards and has mediocre perks. Not all that much to be excited about.

I would honestly have rather had an unlicensed character with cool and interesting perks and a neat design.

  • Source: look at the characters that have been killswitched in the past and how long it took to get them fixes.

It's absolutely ridiculous how long it's taken to fix these bugs. I enjoy the game and want to support it, but I'm reminded over and over again why I can't bring myself to spend money on it. I don't feel like I'm valued as a customer at when bugs (especially ones that affect some of my favorite parts of the game) just get ignored for this long.

Yep, it's de-prioritised due to Knight not having a high pick-rate and being unlicensed.

If a killer like Wesker had an issue that would require him to be killswitched, he would probably be back online within a week at most.

Having a character disabled for over a month is simply not acceptable.

  • One thing I hate about Xeno is multi floor maps, because the turret spawns can be really unlucky.

If you wouldn't move at snails pace while carrying the turret, it would be a bit better, but as is, it's just a nightmare to use them

  • @Peanits said:

As others have pointed out, many people use it to show good sportsmanship, even if they lost. Not everyone is so focused on the outcome. If we want to get technical, usually it should be the person who 'lost' to say it first so it can't be misinterpreted as taunting, but since there aren't exactly clear cut winners in this game, that's not always possible. It's just important to read the room before saying it. If the match was completely one sided, the winner(s) probably shouldn't say it first.

You are not obligated to say it if you don't want to. You can even choose to hide the chat if you don't want to see it from other people. That said, always assuming the worst of people is a very dangerous way of thinking that tends to sour your opinion of people that have done nothing wrong.

while we are on the topic of end game chat... are there ANY plans to address the chat filter?

It really is in a sorry state when even character names, perk names and game play mechanics are censored.

Please at least give people the option to filter either by direct slurs, no filter at all or hide all chat.

If people are unhappy with the price of a dlc, don't buy it. Simple as that.

You guys are taking something that has a really simple solution and making into a bigger deal than it is.

Idk why you have to be such a smartass about it.

I won't buy it. But I also will voice my dissatisfaction with the decision to hopefully not see this practice continued in the future

  • @Crowman said:

Then don't buy the DLC if you don't think it's worth the value. No one is forcing you to purchase the DLC. BHVR can charge what they want for their DLC and if they price it too high and people don't buy it then they'll have to reduce the price.

BHVR does not need to write up a dev blog about pricing changes and make sure the community is fine with such changes ahead of time. Just don't buy the DLC.

What is wrong with you? No really.

No on is saying that they are forced to buy the DLC, but it's important to have discourse around things like this. Idk why you want to tell others that they shouldn't share their opinion.

If you are happy to pay more for the DLC that's cool. But don#t tell others "oh just don't buy it then". If a dev studio makes a consumer unfriendly decision, that should be called out.

Are we entitled to a dev blog? Of course not. But we are entitled to state our opinion on changes to the game. And the BHVR could have circumvented this in different ways. Either by explaining that due to an increase in cost, the DLC will be more expensive, without doing something like only offering it bundled with a skin that a lot of people don't want.

There simply is no good reason to defend this.

I personally think dc penalties shouldn't be removed but rather should be reworked! Devs should make dc penalties much harsher for the constant abusers so that both killer and survivor players can play fairly and not screw thier teammates!! In regards to bots, I believe it shouldn't be part in live matches unless there is a work around in making pvp matches as it should be!! In the end of the day nobody wants a pve game where killer mains goes against 4 ai bots and so forth!

I believe the devs ain't going to make this worst than what it is and so I only hope they figure out a way to make this issue resolved

Lol. Sorry but that is just a stupid take or like a killer main who likes to have easy matches upon a DC.

There is not a single good reason not to have bots replace DCs.

Not to mention, if DC penalties are harsher, people will just kill themself on hooks more often, which is not exactly better.

  • It's honestly silly.

I can kiiiinda see a point for it for the first prestige of the account, to allow new players to learn how the bloodweb works... but as soon as you have P1 on any character, you should be allowed to do the auto purchase on any other character

  • Watch your profanity! ***-Jin is pretty offensive

  • @Pulsar said:

Honestly, I'm fine with it. Should it be improved? yeah.

Is it vastly preferable to letting the actual toxic cesspit of the community have free reign? Yup.

You're fine with not being able to type out character names and perk names? Really?

If someone doesn't want to read end game chat cause of toxicity, they have the option to turn it off (I think? if not, that should be an option). But to make everyone else 'suffer' for it and make it not possible to have a nice chat either, just blows

    Why was this suggested?

"Because the last killer/survivor I played against was mean to me so next time the reward should only go to me"

    are you lacking reading comprehension?

No one is saying that event offerings should be personal only or that they shouldn't benefit others, but simply that they should only benefit people who also bring said offerings

  • @jeffkillsyou96 said:

So what kind of perks can survivors have then without them being op?

Please, I'm so tired of Wesker every round he's gotten so tedious and boring and this suggestion may help with variety? E.g., 100% Bonus for hag or twins?

i don't really see the point in incentivising people to play characters that are less enjoyable.

What's the actual purpose of this except artificially increasing their play rate and I guess making it so there's more variety in playstyles?

The reason for role incentives is for match making speed. But that's irrelevant for your idea.

Not to mention, daily rituals (e.g. Kill 1 survivors as X, or use your power as certain killer) does essentially already do that.

So should they add a 4% chance for the killer to make a survivor to instantly teleport to a hook without chasing them? If it's a rare chance, it's automatically balanced, right?

You always bring this argument up and completely disregard the downside of 96% of the time, the unhook attempt just taking a good chunk out of the hook timer lol

Also what about other RNG mechanics? Like skill checks the moment that survivors let go of gens. Do you think we should make a survivor favoured interaction as well? Maybe that survivors have a chance to dodge killer attacks, even if they were supposed to get hit? Or let's just let killers randomly trip. That would be fun.

but he doesn't need a rework, he just needs some stat changes. make tier 1 not so trash, remove the stalking limit, and he'll be a better killer! not everything needs to be solved with a rework, and with the rework the devs made for onyro on the ptb, i have absolutely no hope for what they would've done with myers

I don't think they can ever make Myers much better as long as the tombstone mechanic exists in the game. It's just too unhealthy in its current state.

  • if anything gets changed about Mikey, he should just get reworked and his tombstone pieces should not be able to instakill anymore.

  • I've already had SWF with Made for this + Soul Guard do essentially exactly the thing described above, just that it wasn't instant and they had to die in the open, while their buddies swarmed with flashlights

  • Ah, so you want people to despise legion even more than they already do

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3476427#Comment_3476427

The biggest issue here is the matter of "paying it forward".

You have a bad game where your opponent plays in a way you don't enjoy, and you decide to take out your frustrations on your next opponent.

This is one of the most toxic mindsets in this playerbase.

Your next opponent is not the person who screwed you over last time. What do you think you're gaining by depriving this new person of bloodpoints?

Is it though? If the next opponent brings a cake as well, I am not depriving them of anything.

They have the option to get more bloodpoints by sharing their own cake.

  • @Mandy said:

There are personal offerings for a reason, if you do not wish to share the BP then you are free to use a personal offering.

That just completely dismisses what this thread is about.

It's not about not wanting to share, it's about sharing it with people that also like to share and incentivise people to bring event offerings during the event, rather than offerings that allow them to turn the game into their favour.

People who bring even offerings shouldn't be punished for being nice.

  • Did you really just say face camp?!

    Watch your profanity!

Next thing you want to type out actual character and perk names!

  • TLDR: I am killer main and want easier kills

  • I really don't get how anyone could argue against disconnect bots.

You have to be a hard tunneling killer main, who loves making players DC for an easy 3v1 if you think bots are a bad idea. I have no other explanation.

"Oh, I don't wanna play against a bot", then either just focus on the other human players or just easily kill the bot and get it over with. They are bots, if they loop you for a few minutes, that's a you issue

  • That's actually a good idea.

Party streamers still count for everyone, but during the even, only people who bring cakes should benefit from cakes.

Would hopefully help against both Moris from killers and Map offering from survivors.

  • @TheRealConsent said:

Im a killer main, and yes, the game does become killer sided when a survivor disconnects.

But come on dude, i dont want to fight 2 bots and get hit with a DC penalty after the last human survivor remaining kills himself on hook.

I dont want the stupid bloodpoints, the EXP or anything. I want to PvP. If i wanted a PvE game, I'd play custom.

I think when a survivor becomes a bot, the killer should not have a DC penalty anymore. I dont want to fight a stupid computer just because some jackass decided to leave the game.

Okay, that's all fine and dandy, but I can ensure you that the remaining survivors also don't want to play a 3v1.

  • @killeriseasy said:

Survivor can drop am extra pallet (that you have to get the stun with) which is super risky or block a window (useful at times) but a killer can shoot and expose us in chase or break a pallet and just go around. I can't wait for this stupid event to be over. The only good thing is the bloodpoints

Can't forget the invite/envelope requirements either.

Survivors? Make it all the way to end game and open the doors!

Bold of you to assume that Alch Ring will ever get changed.
