Yup, feels terrible
It's been like 6-8 months since they said they're looking into keys after nerfing moris, still nothing

Congratulations, you have literally 2 seconds to comprehend that and run in the correct direction before he comes swinging at you. Wraith isn't a killer you stand still with (unless you're trolling bodyblocking a gate.) You are always in motion.
Even when you run before he reaches you... Wraith doesn't care unless you're in pallet/window range. Worst comes to worst, he stops uncloaking, gets right up to you, and uncloaks again. Maybe even slips in front of you and bodyblocks the exit point you were aiming for.
not 2 seconds, you hear him from like 8 seconds away

Just hide behind the wall. And if you find a generator in progress with no survivor. That mean they have spine chill. So they already saw you walking to the gen 32 meters away. All you have to do is walk sideways and the not look at the gen when going towards it.
I literally made a post two days ago asking how do people counter wraith cause I felt there is zero counter play. You can't even loop wraith, he can just leave for another person every time you throw down a pallet. At the end of the mtach the entire map is filled with inescapable dead zones.
As wraith you control the entire pace of the match. They can't see you coming or hide in time. Every match is dependent on your decision making skills.
You probably play against rank5+ survivors man, its just different at red ranks
Hiding behind walls does nothing because your sound gives away exactly where you are directionally

While it's true that he is noisy and has the shimmer, there are zero maps where all seven gens have complete visibility around them so you can see him approaching. As far as the ten seconds thing, I assume you are exaggerating here.
Are there some gens on all the maps that completely suck for wraiths approach? Yeah for sure.
Are there some gens on all the maps that are awesome for wraiths approach? Yeah for sure.
I'm sure every time a survivor has bolted from the gen before you arrive sucks, but I'm also sure there's lots of times you've snuck up and managed to nail hits. As far as people leaving early there's a variety of other factors to discuss. Was it SWF, did someone communicate the direction you were heading in? Was spine chill active? Did someone use premonition(lol)?. There's lot of detection tools in the game outside of just listening to wraith's noise & looking for his shimmer
I mean its super simple, you hear him and cant see him? he's hiding behind a wall or tree or whatever. Hes extremely easy to counter and its so obvious

His power is useful at the start of the chase, if you are saying you get zero use out of his speed boost coming out of invis I have to question if you are approaching gens with any kind of plan. Not saying you need to be playing 3d chess or anything but if you approach a gen and see killer shack is in front of you(survivors are going to run there once you approach them) approach from a different angle. Don't chase them into strong loops, Wraith has enough speed that you should be able to re-position/plan ahead as you approach gens.
Outside of the initial speed boost, yeah you're right that his power doesn't have a use in chase and it really doesn't need to at this point. It's supposed to be used for map mobility and the initial burst at the start of a chase it isn't designed to be used mid-chase to get a hit at a tile that's being actively looped and that's ok.
Once survivors know the killer is wraith they just look for his EXTREMELY obvious shimmer from 20 feet away and his stupid ass breathing
It's really not hard to tell he's coming to you 10 seconds before he is
-
Still useless against actual competent survivors, he's fast, cool, he can get around the map at "sanic speeds", cool, but that's all useless because once he's out of his invis (which takes 3-4 seconds) he's a slow M1 killer with no power whatsoever

Shadowborn is like Enduring - it's not needed at all, but some people play so much better with it.
I mean that's a good point. Survivors get a combined 16 perks, why should killer have to sacrifice one of his 4 perk slots just so he can enjoy the game like a regular game from 2021? lol

yeah as someone who plays 100-110 FoV in other games that allow it, it feels so nice, so natural
sadly they're still stuck in their ways of "we've always designed this game around low FoV in order to make killer feel more focused" and yadayada. kinda goes out the window when FoV altering perks exist but w/e. i feel like it's something they need to reconsider for the greater good of everyone's eyes and spatial awareness.
It's just so much better, the game looks better even idk
I can see why they argue against it but survivors can use stretched res if they want and get an advantage, and the perk exists already anyways
Should just make it a setting

He's absolutely a great killer now with the buffs.
The lunge is insaaane. A good Wraith player is absolutely terrifying. I know that this can be said for pretty much any killer though, those who specialize in said killer are exceptional but I find it especially true on Wraith. He literally goes so fast now, you can't take mobility for granted in a game where every second matters, especially with how fast gens get done.
To anyone who thinks he is still crap, just give it some time. I see him leveling out at A or B. He has a lot of versatility and I really hope we see similar rework / buffs for Trapper, Pig and Myers in the near future.
Wraith is still hard D tier, C at best
To experienced players his power is just completely useless because they can HEAR you coming from like 20 feet

Trash Tier Killers: Michael, Clown, Legion. I dont enjoy any of them... Btw, Wraith is not trash anymore, u might have missed some updates man, go play him now and u will find it much more enjoyable.
No I literally played him 5 mins ago, he's still trash because he's loud as ######### when he's invisible which basically makes him not invisible at all
-
Wraith is dogshit what are you on? lmao
Yeah he's great fun at rank 20 but ranks 1-5 he's basically useless, survivors HEAR you coming from a mile away due to his mouth breathing, and his "invisibility" is trash
He's fun but no good

@IWasLeft2Die said:
Wraith isn't trash anymore though...
Definitely still is at high ranks, extremely easy to counter

I just got a 4k against 4 rank 1s.... and then got my ass handed to me next game by a mix of rank 3--5s and got a 2k just because of camping ...
Idk man Hags just not clicking for me, I always teleport to traps and they're already 6 feet away and I start off slow

Here is a gameplay from survivors perspective: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1011206189?t=01h55m40s
I was the Hag using the perks i linked u earlier and no addons. It was a full Rank 1 CWF as u can see in the video and that match ended up really fast.
To be honest they werent very good for red rank survivors

Unless your trap was set right in front of a strong loop, you shouldnt be caught by surprise on the second time it gets triggered, so instead of instantly trying to hit the survivor (and missing it), just walk and hit them, and if they do go to a strong loop, just trap it and they will go elsewhere, its usually enough time for someone to trigger another trap somewhere else on the map.
What do you do about survivors that just follow you and watch you place traps? can't do much about them since hag is so slow

You can start with her build: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/247162/best-build-for-hag
When the match starts, place a trap near to the closest pallet or window (its usually right where you spawned, dont waste more than 3 seconds for this), look for more loops and trap them while you walk to the middle of the map, aiming for gens not affected by Corrupt.
Trap path intersections, main building / shack, lopps, hooks and gens.
Do not start chasing before you have at least 4-5 traps set at the beggining of the match, if you find someone, you can follow them while you keep trapping and minding your own business...
Dont go too far away from your traps, to get hits you have to instantly teleport to them and if you are out of range u wont be able to do that! Trap half the map with your 10 available traps and sooner or later you will get survivors injured and downed.
Do NOT place trap too close together, they will messup your teleports and are extremely inefficient, try to place them at least 16m from each other, keep them spread.
If you ever teleport to a trap and dont get a free hit becuase the survivor flee, do NOT start chasing (if you notice you cant get a hit within 2 seconds) before setting the same trap on the same spot, if a survivor triggered it, it means that they will probably do it again, so thats a good spot for a trap.
A single trap in front of a hooked survivor is enough, if u dont have all your traps set yet after hooking a survivor, start trapping the surrounding loops of the hook, not the hook itself.
Whenever you are out of a chase, keep pressing the teleport button so u can get a free hit and start a chase right after that. If you are already in a chase, u have to make a decision based on what you see:
- If the chased survivor is going to a trap, stop pressing the teleport until he gets close to it because if another survivor steps on a trap it will mess up the first chase.
- If he is not going to a trap and u are getting looped, keep pressing the teleport so u can start another chase and leave the first survivor injured, do NOT overcommit, you will get them later, dont worry.
There is much more to say about Hag, but most of it is based on experience you will get by playing her, so my advise is to start playing and keep learning as u play, the build i provided will help u a lot and i hope the tips i just gave also help you.
Idk how to quote a specific part
but where you said: "If you ever teleport to a trap and dont get a free hit becuase the survivor flee, do NOT start chasing (if you notice you cant get a hit within 2 seconds) before setting the same trap on the same spot, if a survivor triggered it, it means that they will probably do it again, so thats a good spot for a trap."
The problem with that is if I teleport in and the survivor is too far for me to hit, if I stop chasing and just reset trap then they can see me reseting and will just trigger it on purpose again once I leave, but they'll trigger it just on the edge and I won't be able to get a hit. This is the problem I have with had, the fact that when she first teleports in, she's slow as #########

These are some exemples of why i enjoy Hag:

If you think that she is a weak killer as you described, i asure you that you are playing her wrongly.
Can you give me some tips? trap placement, chasing style, etc?

Recently started to play hag again, love it.
As survivor, hag traps are the only thing that jump scare me.๐๐๐๐
What rank are you? She's so hard to play in red ranks since every survivor knows how to counter her
-
Idk she's just very easy to counter, just follow her around and watch where she puts traps down then just walk to the edge of the trap and then run away, she'll never catch you in time
-
The thing is, putting down a trap takes too long and people see you do it, and then they can just trigger it on the edge of it, and you have 0 chance of catching them
Idk why she's rated so high, she's terrible at high ranks, VERY easy to counter
-
The problem is, if I lay a trap, they trigger it on purpose and then run away, and if I chase I lost
If I don't chase and go set another trap, they see me setting the trap an then do the same thing again
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
Seems like you're playing her wrong then.
A good Hag is very scary to go against and only very smart and aggressive teams are able to give her a hard time
Which is basically 3/4 teams in red ranks...

Keys nerfed. Now hatch will stay open for 10 seconds, not 30. And more changes will come in future. Give them time lol
That's barely a nerf, should be more like only the person with the key can use the hatch or something
Considering how useless they nerfed moris to be

But getting red rank isn't even hard, it's more how much you play then how good you are at playing. Getting red rank killer or close to is easy and so is survivor.
I mean chances are someone that's played the game for 1000+ hours is better at it than someone who has 100, its not rocket science
I agree, getting to red rank should symbolize your nolifing of the game more
-
It's just so stupid that since I enjoy playing the game I have to stop playing it at certain times of the day in order to not be matchmade against people with 4000 hours
-
@WexlerWendigo said:
My advice would be to switch over to survivor for a while, seeing the other perspective really helps when playing the other side. This isnโt just a killer sided issue, itโs very easy to rank up as survivor too and get destroyed by killers with thousands of hours.
One of my first red rank games as survivor was against Otzdarva, safe to say it didnโt go well for our solo queue team lol.
I dont like playing survivor, was never into it, It's not what drew me to this game.
It was moreso the power fantasy of playing killer, which is totally opposite at higher ranks, killers the one that's under stress and hunted.

People are different I suppose. I enjoyed getting to red ranks and facing better survivors. Because it made me better as a killer..You won't get better by facing cupcakes
I can't, a group of 4 decent survivors will always beat a decent killer, that's just how the game is, all the pros and streamers have said that as well. It's just way too stressful
