This is not meant as an attention seeking post, none of you will have any idea who I am. But maybe it will give some insight into what this game is like for new players, or players like myself who are returning after a long break. The low ranks? Actually kinda fun. The killer is meant to be the one who is the scary dude. But I find playing survivor nice and chilled. Killer on the other hand is sweaty as #########. I play a couple games of killer and then wind down by chilling out and doing survivor. Something about that really doesn't sit right with me. Even as a returning player with some knowledge of how the game works, the matchmaking has been slowly breaking me down until we get to the point I'm at now....which is where I feel like I want to stop playing. Going against a red rank killer isn't too bad as you can get lucky with a couple half decent survivors and some of you will most often escape. There really should be some sort of system that punishes face campers. I know that in an ideal world the other survivors focus on gens and get the gates opened quickly, and so only one person has a terribly un fun match. But unfortunately sometimes it doesnt go like that. I was in a game earlier with a face camping billy. Got put against a team of 4 survivors with the same clan tag in their psn names. Not only thsy but they were all level 11 or 12 compared to my 18. Which doesn't make alot of sense as I thought this game was popular? These guys ran rings around me. I managed to kill one somehow, but It was so hard to find any of them. And then at the end? Hi all, So I've recently made a return to DBD after not having played for over 2 years, and there are a couple things I have noticed/am curious about. Firstly, i don't remember this game being so damn toxic! I play alot of Siege so am used to it but damn could some people do with a chill pill or two. Been a couple years since I've been a regular player of DBD. Couple days in since returning and every game I've had has heen grossly imbalanced. I just played one as killer (rank 19) against survivors ranked 1,3,5, and 8. Followed up by a game as survivor (also rank 19) where my team were ranked 2,5 and 6 and the killer was rank 1. First two games as survivor I escaped. Yet as killer I'm struggling. Whats this nonsense with survivors tanking hits when rescuing each other from hooks? It was Macmillan estate. The fog was thick, the scream of my fellow survivors deafening. Running from an unknown killer, heartbeat getting louder with each step I took...I ran into the greatest trap the entity has ever been devious enough to place. Yes, the locker of no returrrrrnnnn! Hello all! Downloaded DBD as soon as it became available for free on psn and have been loving my experience so far. I am at level 12 with killers and 14 with survivors. And I LOVE playing as the Pig and old happy sack himself Michael Myers!
