Quote: "Are killers not suppose to be in control of matches"
My opinion: No, killers should never be "in control of the match" as this suggests they can win if they want to at all times against any survivors regardless of their skill.
Killers should never win or have the control "by default" even if they camp/tunnel/slug at 5 gens. Getting a 4k should feel like an actual achievement (unless the survivors are potatoes that is).
I agree and disagree. No need to take everything literally. When people are being in control that does not mean that no one survives. It merely means that they are dictating the pace of the encounter and the others are forced to adept. Right now, that is far from being the case. More often than not, it is not the survivors running away, but the killers running after, trying to catch up to a departing train, that is their game.
In that sense, with this being a survival horror game, it should indeed be the killer who is in charge. Yes, getting 4 kills should be an achievement, something they have to work for hard and even then not be guaranteed to get, but escaping should also be an achievement, and having everyone escape should be a rare thing that only luck and skill can pull off.
If you neuter killers, you take the atmosphere of the game away and this will degrade into a 2nd grade, asymmetric cat and mouse simulator.
Right now, DBD is this weird horror movie, where a mean looking guy jumps a bunch of teens in a house, the teens run him around for a bit, then tie him up, humiliate him, throw a party and leave him there to stew. (not all the time of course, but more often than it should be) - again, analogy, do not take it literally.

I dunno
The game is pretty simple, survivors objective is to do gens
Killers objective is to put people on hooks.
how you do those is up to you.
both sides tunnel, survivors tunnel gens and killers tunnel survivors.
Best analogy I have heard today. Thank you.

Actively stand out and denounce toxicity, work on implementing features that encourage a nicer gaming atmosphere, make examples of some worst offenders to send a message to the rest.

No, it's considered toxic and you will get tunneled/camped/moried if you use it without a SWF to back you up. Don't use it in a SWF either because it's busted af if you do, that's like using Iri head on Huntress it's just toxic and super unfun.
I do not consider it toxic tbh, it is just a perk, but it is powerful enough (when used well) so that I will do my best to get anyone with it out of the game as fast as I can :)
Since I cannot tell who is playing premade and who is playing solo, when object is around, I assume it is used to feed info to the other 3, so I prioritize it.. some use that to their advantage tho. Like as a survivor, if you are good at dodging and looping, you can really distract the killer with object and give your teammates a better chance of doing gens.
-
Yep, drop any perks that alter blood points and any offerings that do. My mate and I had the same issue and once I started going in "naked" (well, without those perks or offerings), the counter started to work. OFC it can still be impacted by others bringing "for all players" kind of offerings, but it should still allow you to finish reasonably quickly.
-
- "you both - and any other killer like you - are also entitled as you think you are privileged to a free 4k if you feel like you should have it"
You see that is just it.. the killer in your story did not complain about YOU wasting HIS time. Nor did I tell you, that you were wrong to do what you did. Do not project on me please. You asked a question, I showed you the definition, explained how you meet said definition and answered your question. You are free to respectfully disagree, but please do not drag me into your dream world as you do not know the first thing about me and me being a mostly Freddy main will likely just eat you there.
- " I'm saying it's a waste of time on both sides and I personally think it's sad the only thing seen as 'holding the game hostage' is if the killer traps a survivor in the corner and never moves nor kills them"
How about this for an answer: because that is the only way for a killer to really stall out a game?
Just two lines above this one you said you do not expect people to play the way you want, but then you proceed and say that you would like their playstyle to be bannable. Do you at least see the contradiction in those statements?
- "So with all that said, idk how I'm entitled and how you and the other killer are not. "
Please refer back to the start of this comment. If you do not like people telling you their opinions on the internet, then maybe do not start by asking them a question.

Survivors are not allowed to use DS, unbreakable, OoO etc

so you tell me.. ME who has to deal with
-potatoe teammates
-Dedicated servers, hitboxes, bloodlust
-unsafe pallets in every corner, dead ends
-insta downs, moris, strong killer perks
even tho i need to deal with more things then you can imagine its a ######### move when i bring strong perks?
BUT "survivor playing is so easy LMAO TROLOLOL"
yeah its very easy especially when you get dedi hits in every corner. go play soloQ with potatoes and lets meet again.
you dont want people to complain about your noed and mori then you also shouldnt complain about some solo survivors bring some perks to survive longer because they dont wanna get tunneled at the beginning of the match.
Dude, you have to deal with all that and that is why there are 4 of you, and only 1 killer. Also, do not listen to people who complain about you using certain perks or tactics. Do what you think is needed for you to win, but please remember.. you are not supposed to always win. If you cannot deal with that, this is not the game for you (well, no multiplayer competitive game will ever be really).
To your actual list of complaints:
Potato teammates - you were there once, give them a break. it is not their fault the MM is broken and you can rank up pretty much by just being in a game as a survivor. Also, play a killer, then you do not have to worry about those potato teammates, in fact those will be yummi potato chips for you to eat. Then again, you will realize that those are a marginal minority of all survivors and will barely notice them :)
Dedicated servers - affect the killers just as much as they affect you. I cannot count the times survivors dodged hits that on my end sliced right through their heads. Or how many times I was lag frozen to death when picking up a survivor with network issues.
unsafe pallets - sure.. how about we talk about the god pellets and loops as well, eh?
insta downs, moris, strong killer perks - the survivors have those as well, you yourself listed the very things killers hate, so my suggestion: let's be more tolerant here and just accept that both sides have features we might prefer not to play against.
Your thread could very well be called: THE MINDSET OF SOME SURVIVORS NEED TO CHANGE REALLY. or even THE MINDSET OF SOME PLAYERS NEED TO CHANGE REALLY.
Peace man, play the way you like, just be nice to your fellow players, be those killers or survivors, gods or potatoes. :) as long as people are having fun and are being nice in general, the game will be just fine. Problems only start when entitlement and resulting toxicity kicks in and people start expecting others to play in a way that makes their lives easier, no matter the side they are on.

@Venoxxie said:
So, apparently I'm entitled even though I strive to not be toxic/that kind of survivor really. Sometimes my frustration might slip but it's not be trying to be toxic. Anyway...
Did a match vs a Billy... cool. I like versing Billys. Cut towards the end of the game, the rando had given up early on and a friend had died. Just me and another left. They get slugged and killer has NO IDEA where I am. So finally they hook the person they slugged and I find hatch. Person who died earlier makes a remark and the killer goes "what" to which I just say "Trying to slug like that when you got no idea where I am. It'd be a different story if you knew where I was." Basically, I just saw it as a waste of time on both sides... I don't want to potentially have to wait for someone to bleed out or for the killer to stop proxying their body so I can heal to have a chance at escape or not.
So killer calls me entitled then proceeds to say "If you don't want your time wasted, come out." wait wait wait. So I'm entitled because I'm not coming out and giving the killer a FREE KILL? I'm the entitled one?? Hello?? Can someone explain??
Entitlement, noun, "the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment."
You complain about the killer playing in a certain way and not in the way you think he should. That he wasted your time. By definition, you can be called entitled.
For all intents and purposes, the killer who slugged could have found you (if he looked) or could have expected you to be less determined and try to rescue your friends. As long as there is more than just you alive, you can't hatch out and as long as he doesn't hook the last survivor, they can't kill themselves on the hook. It is a perfectly valid tactic to try and secure 4K. Necessary? I would not go that far.. then again, I am not playing to win most of the times, so I do not really count :) Also, I have did it in the past, when for one reason or another I wanted to secure a 4K match and it worked more often than not.
It is common knowledge, especially with SWFs and after all but 1 gens or all gens are done, that the moment you hook the 3rd guy, they will just kill themselves on the hook (or sometimes even DC) just so their buddy can hatch out. The killer did read your intentions apparently well, and did not indulge you.
I'd suggest you just move on, but the answer to your question is a resounding: YES. - since you asked.

When it happens once in a while? Not bad. When you encounter 2-3 man red-rank SWF groups a couple of games in a row and they repair gens in your face? Not good. You see how busted this POS game can be and how the devs balance the game around the bronze league players.
Maybe it is just me, but I actually love those "around the generator" chases, where 4 survivors are trying to repair the same thing I am trying to protect :) It has a weirdly comical effect to it. Then again, it usually is spoiled by the usual attitude of those people who are actually capable of playing like that, but I had a good few games where the players were just as cool as the game itself :)
Balanced? Well :) I couldn't tell as the skill disparity between me and them made any sort of result analysis for balance perspective pointless.

I’m curious to know how people feel when they get no kills in their matches? Do you rage? Do you blame yourself for it? Do you blame the survivors for being too good? Do you look back and see what you could of have done differently? Do you put on an ebony mori for your next match? Do you play a stronger killer next match? Personally when it happens I replay the same killer and think what I did wrong in the last match to help myself learn. What about you?
- Depends on the match.. if the chases were fun and the survivors not jerks, I feel good.
- I never rage, though I can get riled up enough to start forum posts and I definitely go to great lengths to try and expel those I think are hurting the game. Then again, that has nothing to do with me getting or not getting kills.
- What does that even mean: too good? You can't be too good or bad. You are either better or worse than your opponent, that's it.
- I use my ebony moris (and all other addons) because I have them unlocked. People think they are evil, I think they are part of the game and hate them to just sit there collecting dust.
- :) Playing a stronger killer is mostly a placebo.. unless you played a weaker killer before (not your main), any other killer you might switch to, you would do worse in due to lack of practice. That particular thing has happened though in the past, that after playing a few rounds with a killer I was new to and getting stomped, I switched back to my main to balance out the scales a bit. Then again, that was more about me not liking the character's overall performance (or my performance with it), than about the actual match outcome :) Just as an example: Bubba is far from being my best killer, but I like him still for how he plays and feels, so I do not mind it when people escape as I was having fun in the process.
Learning from your past mistakes is great.
I think the biggest learning in this game for both sides however is this:
YOU DO NOT NEED TO WIN. THIS IS A GAME. As long as you are having fun, the game was fine. In every game played by two ore more people there will be a winner. Expecting you to be that winner every time is not only unreasonable, but also highly selfish :)

Just out of curiosity, why do some of you tunnel?? I’ve only gotten to play a few matches in the last few days, but getting tunneled every other game. Am I too easy a target?? Too annoying?? Wrong place wrong time?? I know sometimes I get farmed and killers come back, but it’s always to chase me down again. I don’t play that poorly, but usually panic if I’m farmed without BT and have to get chased right after. I just try to make the most out of my ######### situation.
Playing killer a lot, I can tell you this.. sometimes what the survivors perceive as tunneling is merely bad luck. Or their own misplays. Some examples:
- I hook someone, when they are unhooked and I find the person and their buddy I go after the buddy instead of the one I hooked. Now supposed I lose that guy after a minute, but the first one runs into me.. I down him and hook him again. Tunneling? No. Bad luck? Yes. Was I accused of tunneling because of this? Sure. :)
- I hook someone who gets unhooked. I start to chase the person who unhooked them, however the moment I turn my back, the first guy starts repairing the generator as if I was not even there. I go back, down him and hook him again before I resume my original chase. Was I tunneling? Hardly.. I was protecting assets. Is it my fault that the survivor did not take the chance to run away? No. Was I accused of tunneling still? Sure. :)
Then again, it sometimes really is tunneling on the why:
- eliminating at least one player as fast as you can is actually increasing the pressure on the survivors. Letting the one who is most likely to die (the one you already hooked once) go is actually increasing your odds of all survivors escaping, so it is counter intuitive as a tactic for killers.
- In some cases, a survivor might have a perk that you REALLY do not want to deal with, esp. in the endgame and want to get them out of the game ASAP
Really the first one is enough for me personally. If I were playing killer to win all the time, to rank up, I would most certainly go for the fastest kills possible and tunnel like there is no tomorrow.
Then again, I am not playing to win, but to have fun, so for me, it is fine to leave people run away and do their little things.. it just means I can chase them more, which is the fun part in my game. Still, I do not blame killers who tunnel me. When I play with friends, I consider that the price of going with a premade team.. I might end up being the first one to die if I am unlucky. Roll of the dice really.

insert Tyler the Creator Cyberbullying tweet
its a videogame, if you get worked up over, you can close it
People running away because they are bullied are victims just as the ones who cannot run away. Those people being excluded, because they are "too sensitive" or "not though enough" are the ones who deserve our sympathy, not the ones who dish out the punishment.
You are essentially saying, that it is okay to be mean in a video game, as you can just close it. Sure.. you cannot play it when it is closed, you are getting excluded, which in part is the intent of the one bullying you, but it somehow is the solution?
I am not sure where some people in this community (even some prominent ones) get their ideas about how cyber bullying works and its extents in general, but multiplayer games are just another interface where you are in touch with people. They can harm you just as much as they can do through other virtual channels and the pain they inflict can be just as real.
Saying: "its just a game" is only true as long as it is being played for fun and not used to harass or humiliate the other party. Then it starts to become more than a game. Yes, sure .. you can flee any channel through which you can be hurt. That does not make it right and any sensible person should be fighting tooth and nail against anything to which the answer is: maybe it is best you do not play this GAME.

"Again, not necessarily. Not if the Survivors are good enough to break chases and hide while the Killer is bad enough to consistently let that happen."
He. Caught. One. The proof that it is an eventuality is right there. So no that can't happen IF THEY ARE RUNNING AROUND IN YOUR FACE ALL THE TIME.
"They are not the same thing, but the end result is the same (the Killer is unable to leave the game which is going on and on and on because the Survivors refuse to do gens). THAT is the part that matters."
So then a game where a killer is legitimately trying to kill survivors but stalls a game 30 minutes on a 3 gen is holding the game hostage. Which is not true. This is where this lack of distinction leads, therefore that logic is flawed.
"He. Caught. One. The proof that it is an eventuality is right there. So no that can't happen IF THEY ARE RUNNING AROUND IN YOUR FACE ALL THE TIME."
You completely ignore the meaning of the word captive and assign your own interpretation to it. You can be held captive while at the same time be tormented as well. Sure, the survivors were not just hiding, but saying that they were out there for me to kill is a bold faced lie. They were out there to toy with me and nothing more. That one of them slipped up and got the hook does not excuse any of their actions or changes any of their actions.
I had teams of SWFs in the past who similarly swarmed me, the difference was that all the while they were doing the generator I was chasing them around. Yes, if you do nothing, but just rush the gen and progress it for a second with 3 survivors, while the killer is not looking in your direction, you will finish it in a few minutes. Not the most efficient way, but it is fair game. So yes, 4 good survivors can actually finish a generator even with a less skilled killer actively chasing them around it.
In my game, the survivors were in control and they only left when they started to lose that control, which mainly was - along with my kill - when they ran out of their gadgets. I have actually downed them several times during the hour, but they were built to withstand that and to counter attempts at hooking them, so claiming I should have just tried harder is again, an ignorant, bold faced lie. I tried as hard as anyone could.
Let me give you this analogy: I put you against a pro boxing champ. You get to take ten swings at him (he is free to defend himself of course) for every punch he will dish out. Which on of you do you reckon will end up beaten to a pulp at the end?
Just because your opponent is in front of you and you can swing at it does not mean you actually stand a chance. All your arguments are based around the assumption that by being there in front of me, they were somehow playing the game. No they weren't. It was proven in the cellar, yet you still keep arguing that "but I could have killed them"
Also, that argument about unskilled survivors not being able to do gens is the stupidest I have heard so far. A generator does not dodge, does not evade.. you just press the button and a progress bar fills.. you getting that bar to the end only requires one thing, the ability to time a key press to a roughly .5-1 second window. While I agree that some might be incapable of doing that, you must realize you are grasping for straws here. Comparing apples and oranges like this will not take you anywhere.
A killer plays against an active opponent, the objective of the killer tries to run, hide, dodge. They have friends to help them, to block the killer, to blind him. The survivor has tools to escape even after they are downed or picked up. The generator does not. The generator is a static, inanimate object.
A killer can never take a game hostage for an extended period of time, barring one thing: somehow body blocking the last survivor or survivors into a corner of the map.
- if you slug all 4, they eventually bleed out. I would of course ban anyone who slugs 4 and does not at least try to hook them, but in all fairness, given how certain perks punish picking up, I can see scenarios where that would be excusable. Also perks can allow a survivor to get themselves up and they can scoot around, scattering, to make the killer's job harder. So all in all, slugging while not nice, is no way to really stall and is actually not a perfectly safe tactic from a killer standpoint either.
- if you camp the last 3 generators, then survivors have two options.. wait for you to slip up and start some wild goose chase or go in and try to do generators anyway. In the first case the game gets into a stalemate, and it is arguable which side is at fault, the killer guarding the objective and not chasing the survivors who are trying to drag him away from the gens, or the survivors not wanting to risk almost certain death for at least one of them and not going for the objectives with the killer near them.
- In the second case - and with 3 gens vs 2 survivors this is the usual outcome - one of the survivors die while the other finishes one of the generators and then slips away through either the door or the hatch. In some rare cases, if the survivor risking themselves is good, they both might get away.
In this particular thread, we are talking about a completely different case though. A case where 4 players never had any intention of actually playing the game. They were set up with perks, tools and min set for one thing, and that was harassment and holding the game hostage so they can enjoy themselves at the expense of another player.
-
My goal for this thread was threefold:
- To show fledgling survivors how killers can be evaded and to show baby killers some neat survivor tricks to be mindful of
- To show the four people in question, if they happen to see the thread (unlikely), that their actions do have consequences and to show to everyone similar to them, that every now and then they will find the one person who goes the extra mile to try and get them expelled from the community they should not be a part of
- Last, but probably most importantly, to show the community the - hopefully - worst it has to offer to players and to make people think about their own actions and how those actions might impact the other side of the game. If just a single person watching the video realized that their actions might have caused someone else some grief and changes the way they play, then posting it was already worth it. Heck it is worth it just to show, that even when faced with the worst, it should be possible to keep our heads high, to remain positive and keep on playing.
I do not hate SWFs because of that match, I still do not mind being matched with top ranked survivors and I do not care what meta builds they bring against me, as I still am having fun with the game. If I encounter similarly toxic groups, be that SWF or otherwise, I fight them as best I can and report them after to hopefully make the game a cleaner place. :)
Hope this clears up any question marks and stops people from trying to cheer me up (thank you, but I am not down at all), from telling me how I failed (thank you, but I already knew) and from telling me how there is nothing to see here apart from some mild toxicity, but it is nothing that should be banned (thank you, but we will never agree there)

As a DOC and NEA main.... I have no positive words to stroke your ego with... This is how it happens... I play both sides... You're an an inexperienced killer... And they were experienced survivors... I love when Toxic killer mains come in here and talk about survivors being Toxic... I've seen both sides of it... We have Campy Slugging killers... And then you have SWF.. I'm not saying you are toxic... But there are two sides of the coin here. When you deal with toxic killers all day it jades you.. and you treat all killers as they are the toxic killer from last match. Just remember for every group of "toxic swf" out there.. there are as many if not more "toxic killers" if you get out played and rage you lose.. don't let stuff get to you.. and try being in their shoes for a day.. just try to have fun.
I was not talking about survivors being toxic. I was pointing out four particular survivors who were toxic and at the same time commended them for doing their evasion routines extremely well. (probably got plenty of practice like this) :)
Please do not project your own bias onto me. I do not have a preference in that silly war that goes on within the community between survivor fanatics and killer fanatics. I think those people do a disservice to the game regardless of the side they are on.
Toxicity exists on both sides unfortunately and it is extremely disheartening to hear that being dirty is okay, because the other side is dirtier. I mean this is a computer game and the demographic playing it is probably a lot closer to 20 than to my age, probably even from below, but come on now.. are we really in pre-school still that people believe that line of argument to be valid?
Everybody complains about toxicity, but when it is their turn, they will tbag the opponent just as fiercely and mock them, because they are just "returning it". Oh, not against the person that did them harm, but against the next person, or the one after that.. because if one of them was mean to me, then every one of them deserves me being mean to them.
That kind of eye-for-an-eye mentality leaves the world full of blind people.

"A game designed to end at 10~20 minutes prolonged to more than AN HOUR will always be defined as a hostage."
It's actually not.
We can argue about it all day and all night. The devs will decide. I have my ticket in the system to this effect, if they think the game was okay, they will close it with no action taken. If they think there was foul play involved, they will take action.
Unlike your redefinition of the word hostage, the rules very clearly state what is and what is not a bannable offense. Those things you agree they did are non bannable. The thing you think they did not do is. So I guess the answer will be pretty clear from the result of my support ticket.

Extremely toxic? Yes.
Bullies? Yes.
Smurfs? Yes.
Unfair to you? Yes.
Hostage? No.
Hostage is a very specific thing in this game. It means that the game literally cannot end EVEN IF the other players go AFK. If one of them purposely glitched into a spot you couldn't reach THAT is a hostage situation. You have literally nothing you could do to end the game, even if you were Otz.
Also no this would not be a hostage situation for Huntress if she can still hit you.
Not being good enough to force them to leave is not a hostage situation. Sorry if that sounds harsh but that is the truth about it.
The fact you kill 1 means it is not a hostage situation. If they continued to refuse to do gens you would have killed them eventually.
Dude, seriously, please point me to a definition of hostage that says what you think it means. Unless you are the embodiment of Marriam-Webster, how about you do not try to assign new meaning to words? Hostage and captive, these are English words that have their definitions.
Hostage is not even the correct one to use here. Captive would be more appropriate.
Hostage: a person seized or held as security for the fulfilment of a condition.
Captive: a person who has been taken prisoner or an animal that has been confined.
Nowhere do these terms contain the condition that they are only applicable if you are powerless against your captors. But even if they would, I would argue that by all standards, I was at their mercy for much of the match. I managed to gain a bit when they got too cocky in the basement and I was able to get one of them, but that is about it. They ended the game mostly because they ran out of their tools, not because I really have beaten them back.
-
Look, @xevra and @thesuicidefox
I appreciate you have your opinions.
You can try deny the facts, but I have 40+ minutes of video footage to back up my claims of what has happened and you only have excuses made for 4 extremely toxic and vile players who really should not have any endorsement from the community as they are hurting the game and not helping anyone by playing the way they are.
I shared this story to bring attention to a very serious problem with the game through a very vile example of how toxicity can ruin matches.
I also shared it, as I genuinely believe, that watching those survivors can help players learn a thing or two about looping, they were really good at it.. I know, I was there.
I know where I am skill wise and will definitely not feel butthurt for random people on the internet telling me to git good, so hey.. if you feel like plastering this thread full of denial, go ahead, but I think your time might be better spent elsewhere.

Delusional.
If you acted like the people in the video, then yes.. if you took your baby killer, have him looping after you for 10 minutes while your friends finish the gens and you all leave, then no.
Not sure which part of this thread you did not understand there buddy :)
I never complained about them being good. I complained about them taking the game hostage. that has nothing to do with you playing in an SWF group or being better than the killer you are matched against.
If you are so concerned about getting banned based on this, you might have to rethink how you approach your games tho.

I don't think they should be penalized for playing well. I think they spent a lot of time playing dbd and it would be wrong for dbd to penalize people who have spent a lot of time playing their game. They have invested a lot of time supporting dbd. One would think that's what dbd would want. I think some of y'all are crybabies. Just get good and match their skill level or go play fortnite or something. If you can hang with the big boys don't play with their game. It's clear they were swf. If you can't keep up dc and accept the penalty for not being as good. The killers clearly have an advantage as for as being faster then the survivors. Use that to your advantage. Find ways to get what you need done instead of whining about what others do or don't do. This should have been a teachable moment instead of finger pointing. How hard you practice shows. The way you shut someone up is beating them at their own game not tattle telling. "Oh they were to good and their friends were really good too their so toxic". I can't take sensitive people that game that's the worst. I would have wanted to play them over and over again until I got just as good as them. I know some of y'all are sensitive so let me say this I'm not trying to be rude just saying what I would tell myself. Things don't always go your way, sometimes you get a raw deal but this was no raw deal this was Claudette at her finest or worst lol.
Everything you say is invalidated by that one screenshot I posted from the 19 minute mark in the video. When you see the opponent giving up and instead of closing the match, you keep on hitting them, that is a disqualification in EVERY sport out there. This is not even a sport. this is just a game. If you cannot think of it as one, then maybe it is you who should not play it.

I don't want to simply say "get good" but they were just bullying you for not being as experienced. You could've gotten so many pick ups for free by just not slugging so they can unbreakable or get to a more advantageous position, and just face the wall - no flashlights. You could've spent an hour researching these kinds of things instead of having to get bullied for an hour.
I personally would've killed for this game, and just for no gens to get done ever, and everyone to be right on top of me for a hit. This is ideally what you want as a killer and it's way better than getting supreme gen rushed. I'm talking 4 bnps maxed out tool boxes and the best perks for doing gens
I will let support decide if the problem was on me or if this is taking the game hostage. I can tell you, that in that situation, me being more or less powerless against them at a point, I was felt being taken hostage.
The first 5 minutes you are watching are between the 15th and 20th minute in the game give or take a couple.. I was already on tilt at that point from the survivors seemingly having no interest in the game, other than messing with me. It can actually be seen in the video how after a point I realize I have no chance and "flee" them.
In the video, at the 19 minute mark, you will see everything that is wrong with this game when it comes to toxic players. I honestly felt like this is the saddest moment of the game I have seen so far, a killer actually surrendering to the survivors and the survivors staying around to "torment" him.
That was at roughly 40 minutes into a gruesome, tiring slugfest. Eventually I calmed down as I realized they are just not going to go away, composed myself and started to play better again, more importantly, I started to grow wiser of their moves and tricks, being able to anticipate them better.
Though it was not the original plan when I went into the cellar (I really just wanted to hide), I actually realized after a while that it was a tactically sound move as it limited their movement range and allowed me to corner them with the chainsaw with hooks easily in the vicinity and only one way out.

Dude is this for real?
If it is, you were screwed by matchmaking. This was clearly an experienced SWF bully squad who had a field day with you. What they did is actually a banable offense, so good on you to have video evidence since without customer provided videos the DEVs can´t take action against any kind of offense.
Without wanting to sound condescending, but you have a long way to go friend. Kudos to you for not DCing, hope you get more appropriate matches in the future. Btw, strongly advice you to check out some guides about loops/chasing etc. You whiff a hell of a lot.
Still got that nagging suspicion though that this might be a staged incident.
I would be happy to say it was just me and my friends staging this to educate people, but no.. unfortunately, this was for real. As for me having a long way to go, of course I do.. I have not been playing for a month yet :)
Generally though, I like it when MM throws me against difficult survivor groups, as long as they play fair n square, as that is where I learn the most :)

Now, I don't believe what they did was kind to you. They are clearly just toying with you and I believe if they were serious could easily have finished the game in under 10 mins. I understand that this is frustrating and I sympathize. By all means report them, because they are keeping the game hostage in essence.
Yet there is some light on the end of the tunnel, this type of team are going to become easier and easier for you to counter once you get better at playing a killer. The games won't last as long as you will be ending them sooner, but I totally know this feeling you had.
A couple of tips:
- If you know they have a bunch of flashlights, it is extremely important to face a wall when you pick up survivors. This should save you from the flashlight saves. There are multiple saves they got off that by simply facing the wall of the shack would make it impossible.
- When they are body blocking you while holding a survivor, drop the survivor (on PC the button is R) - the wiggle meter doesn't decrease in the time they are on the floor, so you might just need to slug them at that point and might have been smart to do more.
- If they go under a pallet while slugged, just stand on them look down and bait them in or just leave them there. Slugging them is by far the best option at that point.
- As a bubba, if you like the killer learn to use your chain saw more. You seemed to have a bit of good movement and downs when you used it.
Thanks, I appreciate the helping remarks.
Though I am by all accounts very much a baby killer, but It is also important to remember, that at the start of the video, I have been fighting with them for 15 minutes already and was pretty much on tilt at that point, so what you see there is far from being me at my best :) which against a group like this is not helping at all.
Eventually I started calming down once I realized they are not going to go away and towards the end I also started to recognize their patterns better plus maybe they were getting bored of me too.. :) I do not know which, I am just happy it was over :)

Treat others as you yourself want to be treated. I congratulate all my opponents who won.. I tend not to do so for those who lost, as people tend to take it as gloating and insults even if I do not mean it like that.
The sad part is that often times, I get more salt from those who won, than the actual losers, which is weird to me.. like the other day I had this team of super-friends, decked out in all meta perks, who all escaped.. they played extremely well and were very well coordinated. during EGC, they had me locked down for a solid 30 seconds when 3 of them surrounded me with flashlights and just kept me blind.
Yet they decided it is not enough and threw a bunch of insults to close off an otherwise great game... quite ironic as I was just about to congratulate them on their great play.
(yes, I love playing killers, no matter if I win or lose.. I love the chase part more than the actual hooking them part)
I think that might be the reason why so many survivors are salty.. playing as a survivor is simply not as much fun as playing as a killer. If you get caught and hooked and sacced, it sucks for you. As a killer, even if they all manage to escape, if you hooked them a few times and threw a few good chases, it is easily a fun game.

I recommend you edit out the names as that screen shot counts as naming and shaming.
Seriously though, I could post one such screenshot for every other killer game I have. For whatever reason, people playing survivors tend to believe that I - the player playing the killer - am as evil or horrific a person as the character I played.
I would seriously take a very hard stance on conduct like this. At the end of the day, this is a game and when I see someone wish I died at the end of the match, that tells me they were not playing a game.
Even more ironic is the fact, that without those much hated killers, the game would not exist, so I am actually doing them a service by queuing up as a killer instead of a survivor.
Same really goes for killers who decide to go toxic just because they had an easy or hard match.. inexcusable. Being in the heat of the moment does not cut it. This is exactly why we cannot have nice things - like chat - in the world, because the moment someone does something good, a few sour people will come by and ruin it for everyone else.

I simply cannot accept this line of argument the OP is proposing.
There is one crucial difference in this game between survivor and killer. As a survivor, you slog through the match, you hope to do objectives and escape, but you might run into a good killer and be done for by the 3 minute mark. As a survivor, your chance of actually having a success experience is not too high.. unless very experienced players go against a very weak killer, the game is stacked so that at least a few of the survivors are going to go down.
As a killer on the other hand, your only goal is to kill the survivors. All of them obviously, but your result is not as binary as for the survivors.. for a survivor, escape = success, but there is a good chance they will not achieve that. For a killer, killing = success and they will have at least some success in every game.
Complaining about a perfect game, just because the survivors also did an almost perfect game is frankly insulting and a slap in their face. You use perk/skill combinations to your advantage yet get upset that they do the same.. why?
I am the proverbial baby killer you talk of and I regularly run into teams that run literal circles around me (and gloat about it at the end - bravo btw), yet I never feel bad about my games, as I have my moments of success even in those and hooking/saccing a few of those smug dudes is just all that more satisfying. Let me turn this around: How do you think a survivor, let alone a baby survivor feels when you use OP perk/addon combos to demolish them without having any real chance, even with their best counters?

I thought long and hard about this. By all accounts, I am a noob still, barely have 50 hours in the game so far, so take my observations with a grain of salt.
First and foremost, I am quite mad at anyone who tells me that an otherwise perfectly legal tactic in the game is despicable. Besides the fact that I don't like being called lame, or a jerk just for following one tactic instead of another, it also suggests a somewhat baseless sense of superiority, where the person in question claims to have ultimate authority over deciding what is the right way to play.
How about we do not do that?
Now for the actual question at hand, camping. Sometimes I think people forget that the objective of the game for the killer is to kill everyone. How they go about it is their business. We can argue if camping is an efficient tactic or not. But whether it is fair?
Just because someone is caught at the 2minute mark, hooked and dies does not make it less fair than anything else. Dying as a survivor is part of the game, if it happens to you early, then you just hop into the next game. The killer still has 3 others to kill, who - while he was camping you - have at worst repaired 3 generators, so overall, the team is waaaay ahead to where they would have been, if the killer was actually chasing them around.
Now why complain then? Because often survivors do not play alone. They play in groups of 2, 3 or 4 friends. If they die early, they must sit out the match their friends are still playing in and that sucks. I agree.. it is not fun to watch the game instead of playing it, but here is the thing:
Those groups usually have a large advantage over the killer anyway, simply by the virtue of being able to communicate. In an ideal world, everyone would be limited to what they can see and what information their perks give them, and this is true in a completely random 1+1+1+1 vs 1 game. In most cases however, I bet survivors are rarely totally random and those non random teams are unlikely to not use some form of communication tool. This not only gives them extra information over what their skills would give, but also easily negate some killer abilities.
So no.. I do not shed a tear for people who have to sit out matches because they die early in a group queue. That is the price to pay for the advantage the group queue gives. Those who do not like it can always queue solo or learn and adopt tactics to work around camping.
I am saying this even though I only play survivor when all my friends are around, so I am "as guilty" in this as they come. I do not find it a problem, but apart from it not being great fun, I do not blame the killer either, if they decide to camp me. I will just urge my team to go for objectives instead of pointlessly standing around, waiting for the killer to stop camping. I die, 3 of them win.. that is a win for me.
Likewise, when I play killer, I never truly camp.. mind you, I will not go far from those I hooked, as I am using them as bait for their friends to come, but I always go far enough for them to be able to unhook them and start to run. Why? Because even if I do not sacrifice anyone, maxing out the other three killer categories still has me scoring high enough to make me happy and part of playing the killer is the thrill of the chase :)
