Maybe the anonymous downvoters will speak instead of being a downvote braindeads without a single argument speaking what i said wrong here ? Ofc no one has argument because everyone here is a survmain.

Ah yes give survivor more reason to only focus on generators.
Most boons are very weak and not worth the investment.
You haven't read a single word i said.
I hope you go against 4 man SWF with omega boons and then come back and say again how useless they are.
Oh kiddo, you will be suprised how cracked and easy to abuse that is.Most boons are very weak and not worth the investment. -
The perk itself is arguably useful on high-mobility killers to counter players who spam powerful boon combinations, but making it basekit should have been implemented a long time ago.
Hex totems are cleansed instantly, so why do boons have such a significant unfair and unpunishable advantage over them?
This seems extremely survivor-sided to me.

Quite a simple suggestion, just nerf the new killer. His ability hitbox is so big that you can't outrun it and the range is also just way to far which makes it impossible to escape from him.
His hitbox is way too small and requires really amazing predictions and very accurate shots, his undergate is extremely hard to hit against survivors that know what they're doing. On top of that it's literally 4.4m/s Killer, he should have a small buffs that makes his AoE for undergate bigger.

I understand why they've made the 3x depletition rate for the Knight - people hate Knight pincer attacks (the killer goes from one side and the guard comes from another). Maybe they could also tie the depletition rate with how long patrol path was. Yeah, i also think they could add Map of The Realm completely for Carnifex and the Assassin, as Dried Horsemeat for every guard too.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4048194#Comment_4048194
What you would want to see?
Honestly the double attack from Guard and Knight is the way you should be playing. I understand it might be a little confusing for Survivors but believe me or not but there is huge problem for Knight that makes him significantly weaker against good survivors, they will intentionally keep jumping from window to window becasuse they know there is little counterplay you can do. The strongest you are when you and guard are chasing a survivor in a deadzone.
Knight is really bad against coordinated SWFs they will take hits etc, i experienced this BS myself it's really obnoxious.
And the Hunt time depleting is WAYYYYY too punishing. -

and look ! I was complaining about his hyper mobility and never being able to have a chance to catch a breath because he is ALWAYS on your back no matter what you do. awful design which rewards bad plays! I dont want to hear about your games with really good 4 mans. gloat harder omg. congrats ?? is that what you want me to say? uwu you're so talented and amazing, like such an inspiration omgggg ??
youre also further proving my point by telling me you NEED to be in a super coordinated 4 man to have a chance at winning against this killer so thanks for that I suppose.
He indeed is a hyper-mobility killer but his chase potential is cut only to the user skill.
Fully read what i said before you start crying.
You either fully read and think about what i said or just shut up and go back to fortnite jeez.
Trust me.. The Lich is FAR better than Dracula.
Dracula's only strenght is hyper mobility, but he is not the craziest chase killer. He needs to attack in straight line xD
Which is easy to dodge as hell. -

I don't really agree because survivors reaching a new hook stage passively is one of the most frustrating things that can happen. It often causes solo queue teams to give up. I don't think it's something that killers should be able to force or have much influence over
You've got a point, but believe me, that's the only perk that can punish genrushers.
Potentially it could have an upper hand against solo queue, but still, don't act like survivors don't instantly unhook, because I see that far too often.

The downvotes don’t bother me - I know some of my opinions aren’t popular here - but yeah I’m surprised that apparently some people think that me leaving the chat box open is the problem rather than the people who are saying the vilest things ever and going unpunished.
If BHVR don’t want to put the resources into enforcing their own chat abuse rules, then they should either 1) get rid of the chat altogether or 2) get rid of the rules and let people say whatever they want. They’re in the most frustrating place now where we are told to report but then nothing ever happens with the reports. If they want to maintain a welcoming place for their players, then they need to actually ban people for this stuff, whether it’s with AI or having more human resources devoted to dealing with reports.Yup!
I see absolutely no reason for making rules and ToS when devs themselves do NOT take them seriously and act like getting called slurs is not a problem.
It's really obnoxious that such people never get punished for it.
We have the same mentality: we want the chat open, yet never be called slurs, because that's just common sense.
Having the chat hidden is way better for your mental health, but I have no intention to act clueless.
The fact that people can call you slurs and get away with it JUST LIKE THAT is unbearable to even think about.
I understand that straight banning people for that would wipe out 75% of the entire community, but come on, at least DISABLE the chat for such people for a certain amount of time. That would humble them and teach some respect they ABSOLUTELY do not have towards anyone.
-
Dracula has a solid counterplay already attached to him.
Wolf form is absolute trash on most tiles. His lunge is really choppy and easy to outplay.
In bat form he's absolutely blind and most survivors can just change direction and be slightly unpredictable, which is the easiest counterplay you can ever think of.
In Vampire form he's strongest, of course, BUT evading his hellfire is RIDICULOUSLY easy if you put any effort into it.
The only thing that puts him in A tier is hypermobility; believe it or not, against really good survivors he's not that good in chase simply because most tiles are safe as hell.
I just played against a really good 4-man SWF with my Dracula, and they had enough skill floor to delay my downs by around ~20 seconds. Believe it or not, they were really amazing at looping — they made very smart gameplay-wise plays and decided to take hits, etc.
I easily would have gotten a 3K, but it was Autohaven, so yeah, they were pre-running the hell out and ratting in lockers when they all got to 2nd stage. I was doing 12 hook play but they were ratting so yeah i'm still proud of myself yet not suprised.
This map is EXTREMELY huge, and it was a really crazy time waste for me to navigate between survivors; controlling hook stages was borderline impossible. They were coordinated like a SWAT team.Luckily I got a 2K, but I am VERY surprised how much they did to make my downs significantly harder. They all had Champion of Light + Background Player, and I had to be extremely careful with my pickups.
And no, they did not get a single flashlight save ;)
But I have to admit that one Ace was VERY good when it came to flashlight saves, and he was close to getting one at endgame, but I'm way too experienced for those beamer plays and I predicted that a long time ago.

Sadako right now is not in a good state at the moment along side her add-ons, can you explain how exactly are these changes are rather unnecessary?
Absolutely agreed to what you said here, despite having my extremely high skill floor even against VERY coordinated 4 man SWFs they could deny me from getting value from my power and block me from teleporting across the map by facecamping my TVs just to keep turning them off over and over.
I know that sounds absolutely nuts but the counterplay towards her is just cracked to say the least. -
I completely agree with those changes.
They're very fair and healthy for making this Killer somewhat playable.
Sadako was the only reason I decided to watch Dead by Daylight content and later play her in-game.
However, facing ANNOYING SWFs who were facecamping my TVs just to turn them off, just to be annoying of course, gave me a really bitter taste for playing this Killer, and I realized how cracked the counterplay to her actually is.
Even though my Sadako skill floor was extremely high, it took a survivor one tape insert to pretty much deny me any value from my power, which is obnoxious as hell.
-
Most lobbies i play against are at least 2 man SWF.
The penalties for SWFs honestly could add a little balance yet still that's not enough believe or not xD
I'd add Kindered basekit to solo q survivors. They are the ones that needs support.
Like i said before, most survivors i play against are sadly in SWF and their coordination just speaks for itself because i can tell the difference between solo q survs and survs on comms. There is a huge difference in their efficency.
And plays like taking hits, bodyblocking, spreading on gens and pre-running the hell out.
Such plays are not only OBNOXIOUS AS HELL but the facts most killers have ABSOLUTELY 0 counterplay towards that only proves my point that this game is EXTREMELY Survivor favored.
And all that problem comes from Survivor mains entitlement. We can take even the most cocky survivor main to play against 4 man SWF at least once, and trust me.. this person will get humbled to the point they will NEVER play as Killer ever again. -

I get good value with it on Sadako. “Poof!” I am gone. Now pass away survivors 🤣
It really punishes greedy survivors.Yeah Monstrous Shrine is my fav perk to use on Sadako but the problem is on small maps Survivors are just countering that by just simply insta unhooking, that's a really strong perk to punish genrushers but the fact they can unhook like 2 secs before the survivors hits 2nd stage is absurd to me.

Hi! Hope everyone is doing fine.
I've been playing the Knight for some time and i have some suggestions on how to improve his kit to make him more viable in the current state of the game:
The Knight need some form of buffs while the guard is chasing someone, specially now that guards hunt timer deplets 3x times faster when the Knight is near. My suggestion would be to add a 3% increase and 10% lunge distance whenever one guard is hunting someone. This way you could use guards to delay or hurt someone while you go for another survivovr.
The Assassin should have a smaller start-up time, considering he is the guard with the biggest chance of scoring a hit. Maybe 20% less than the other guards.
For the hunt time, i would suggest:
- 1 to 8 metres: x1
- 9 to 16: x1.25
- 16 to 25 metres: x1.5
- 26+ metres: x2
I also would suggest the same for patrol times: the bigger the patrol path, the longer the guard patrols that area.
A "Quick Order" command would be great, being able to order a guard to kick a gen or break a pallet without going into patrol mode. It also would be an extra tool for the Knight to use in chase.
Addons: make Dried Horsemeat basekit and rework it do something different. Its the only addon that feels "necessary" in the current state of the Knight.
This would be bigger changes for the Knight but it would turn him into a much more viable killer in the current state of DBD, specially after the pallet density update.
Solid post!
Map of the Realm & Dried Horsemeat Should be absolutely basekit in my opinion, that would improve the current state of Knight, especially against Survivors that are hard-evading the Guards, which is EXTREMELY obnoxious and creates a cracked counterplay, making him EXTREMELY BORING to play as when facing such Survivors.
We should remove the penalty for being close to a Guard that makes the hunt end faster, that is kinda what makes him boring and hilariously weak against experienced Survivors.
Rework for addons:
Battle Axe Head Carnifex instantly knocks out -15% of the entire generator progress (Blue/Purple).
Penalty: Carnifex has -20% longer cooldown.
Cold Steel Manacles When a Survivor escapes the Hunt from a Jailer, they get 7% hindered for 10 seconds (Iridescent/Purple)
Penalty: Jailer has -15% longer cooldown.Knight's Contract Survivors hit by a Guard suffer from Oblivious and Exhausted for 60 seconds. When a Survivor escapes a Hunt, the next Guard is gonna be 5% faster for 10 seconds.
Healing Poultice When a Survivor escapes a Hunt within 32 m distance, Knight gains 8% haste for 10 seconds. -
Well to really get value from this perk it should been at least 40% faster Entity progression, and would be amazing if the perk gets highlighted when you are far away from the hook.
Just make it 20m away not 24 that's obnoxious and unrealistic to get value from unless you play Killers that can teleport away after hooking in basement lol -

My personal opinion is that BHVR should just eliminate post-game chat altogether because a vast majority of interactions are toxic, in my experience. I just finished a match where someone told me to off myself after they lost. This type of thing happens fairly frequently.
I reported them, as I always do for this kind of thing. But I’m starting to feel like it’s pointless. I’ve never once received any verification that action was taken against someone for saying extremely vile things like this. It’s difficult for me to believe that BHVR takes this seriously because they, at least in my experience, never ban people for this. I’m thick-skinned and this kind of stuff bounces off me, but what if someone actually gets influenced by this type of abuse and acts on it? Even if they don’t act on it, it can be psychologically traumatic for some people. My point in posting this is that I hope a mod or dev sees this and action starts being taken against these kind of people. Please start taking this kind of thing seriously, BHVR. I now understand why people aren’t afraid of saying these kinds of things when they know that there likely won’t be any consequences. Does anyone else have a similar experience where chat abuse reports consistently go without any action taken?
Why the hell are you getting downvoted btw ? ######### you didn't even said anything provoking so why the hell so much downvotes.
I really do agree with your post - personally i also got people telling me to kyz only because i played freddy.
Most of the time i report people saying such things but i've gotten only 1 report feedback from swearing ever XD
But yeah that Meg basically wrote entire book in endgame chat how i should end it all etc. That kid went wayyy too far.
My idea is to make AI moderation for chat, and not necessarily make it strict or anything but make it understand the context and any form of communication abuse and hateful speech should be punished harshly. First would just be a warning and the harraser ability to chat will get blocked for 7 days, next time it would be for 1 month and 3rd time perm disabled chat untill the harraser makes appeal and even getting banned from the game if such person keeps breaking the rules anyway.
Not only chat hateful speech is abuse but also being unsportsmanlike.
That's NOT the first time i went against Sables that were hiding the entire game just wasting my time and helding the game hostage.. Dead by Daylight is NOT hide and seek ffs.
The reason barely anyone even gets banned is because the devs have to ban manually xDI wonder why the hell are they so calm about it and acting like such problems are irrelevant.
Actually it's exactly the opposite, they are reasons people uninstall.
I hope they will have fun trying to find the survivor hiding for 15 mins in a row JUST RATTING the entire game.
Jeez xD -
I've met tons of cheaters and usually they are using anonymous mode or either have veryyyy provoking and corny names.

So happy to see the survivor I downed with trapper gets back up instantly fully healed and the hacker stops me from hooking any and all survivors.
You did a pretty good job so far on the promised anti-cheat improvements in your roadmap!
Let me guess it was anonymous Nea and she called you slurs in endgame chat on top of it.
-
Yeah believe it or not but cheaters when they are unable to cheat are playing even worse than average clueless Sable main in solo q. If they cannot coke themself up with that 'legit' ~6% perma haste feature they would go down within 5 secs. I remember going against subtle cheater and their speed stopped working for some reason and the chase was literally 5 secounds, and even with that speed i got a hook within around ~20 secs. Imagine having so much potential and barely using 1% to it just to ruin matches for others, that's not only disrespectful as hell to dedicated killers that took a really long and painful time to get better but that also makes killers question their own skill. People that say they never went against cheaters are just casuals playing this once a month in dirt mmr against 4 default dwights that keep running into a walls and failing skill checks 15 times in a row XD
-
You have to understand they are everywhere..
Most survivors that are toxic plays in SWF so they feel cocky.. but here is the problem, their pride and ignorance will bring them down if you can use it. To your advantage.
If you play Springtrap just bring Loot Bag and Bloodwarden, if you play it right you will punish many cocky survivors for bagging at exit gates.
I personally had some very cocky SWF against my Springtrap once.. i feel really bad for them because i teached them a lesson they will never forget.. they were even too scared to be salty in endgame chat and i am not even suprised.
And remember that survivors main have no idea how much BS Killers have to endure and how much weight & expectations the game puts on them to win. Their disrespect towards you backfire one day, remember that.
Sooner or later every cocky SWF has to play against someone like me.. I single handedly made some squads uninstall because of me. Their ego got shattered like a glass. And trust me.. their ego was trough the roof, so it was a very painful experience for them. -
@killer_hugs said:
nurse, blight, ghoul and SWFs. things the game could do without. maybe they could just make a special queue for everyone not committed to poisoning the game.
Apparently it's a horror game but i don't feel this way when playing against steve mains taking me to 500 pallets like i would be some beaver.
And SWFS are something that makes this game cancer, but the worst problem we currently face since 2021 are..? YES YOU ALL GUESSED! IT'S CHEATERS! A PROBLEM NOBODY EVEN TALKS ABOUT.
And going back to SWFs perks like Head On, DS, Dead Hard, Off the record… just.. why ? how is that fair to killers ?I thought BHVR wants to convince killers to go for 12 hooks but making ALL THE gen regression perks just CHOPPED, they are straight useless.
What's even the point exploding a gen with pop/pain res when they will get back the progress in approximately ~4.5 secounds ? LOL This game used to be a horror game, but after all those buffs that survivor mains cried for this game is no longer 'scary' or cool in any way, it's just a tournament of rats who will genrush the killer better.
And for killers it's a rat race to get 4k as QUICK as possible. That's just BORING. Any people that are downvoting my comments are just straight sewer rats without opinion and their biggest achievement is clicking one of 2 buttons to make themself feel better, because deep down they know they are just a sore losers. -

Problem is there's a huge disparity between really good survivors and your average player. The forum will always be pretty skewed on that opinion because a lot of the people who are on the forum will be people who play a lot and fit into that "really good" category. So yeah zero counterplay is hyperbole, sure, but a killer that only high skill players can counterplay hurts the game.
I've played the game a lot, and took a huge break from dbd foraybe 2 years, I was never amazing as survivor but I could run a respectable chase on a good day. Coming back to dbd when I play surv it's usually solo q or as a duo, occasionally we'll have enough for a full team of 4.
And it's been pretty crap, we have a bad escape rate because we just can't get the kind of efficiency going that high level swfs do, against low or mid tier killers we have a low to middling escape rate if the killer doesn't activley tunnel or camp hooks (spoiler alert most killers do) against ghoul/krasue we are basically guarenteed a hatch game 3/4k with maybe 2 gens finished. To date the only game where we had more than one escape vs a ghoul was one who was farming.
On the other hand my killer games have been pretty easy. Even when I get put against high skill swfs I can usually (approximately 80%) take total control of the game and prevent gens getting finished. And I usually only play mid tier killers (demo is my main) AND actively avoid the cheap tactics like tunneling etc
Just because the top 1-10% of survivors can counterplay a killer does not make it balanced. Problem with ghoul and krasue is they have insane traversal so actually getting away from them is practically imposssible for mid/low level players. It's like going against a sweaty nurse or blight player, counterplay is possible but extremely difficult because distance means basically nothing against these killers, well beyond the scope of your average survivor. Ghould can launch himself around crazy distances and grab in the process and all krasue needs to do is tag you once and she switches to head mode for a huge speedboost. Imagine how mad people would have got back in the day if plague got a speed boost after she vommed on a surv. They are not balanced killers when you take the playerbase as a whole.
Tbh there's no point talking about this on forums because most people are survivor mains and all those down votes just proves my point again.
-
There is a lot good comments already here!
I would like to add i've met TONS of subtle cheaters even thought i barely started playing this game since June 2025.I've met also in total around 4 blatant cheaters (teleporting & going under the map) and around ~50 subtle cheaters (speeding mid chase, tp behind walls, esp, etc.)
I already got like 6 cheaters banned and that's still just a drop of water in the ocean.
The game is completely client-sided therefore cheaters can do whatever they want and the crappy Easy-Anticheat has absolutely no idea what the client does wrong and it cannot see the difference between a normal survivors VS perma 8% (legit speed) cheater just always being completely uncatchable and there is far more.
I had 2 really weird situations this week.
First it was some Bill that made my game freeze for 15 secs and i couldn't move or anything and he got hatch and said 'ez'
I'm 99% confident he could do that with cheats because i am VERY aware this is possible however there is minimum chance of lag so i'll keep this as it is and yes i reported him anyway.
And the secound weird situation i've played against 2 subtle cheaters it was Lara and Cheryl (anonymous)
And funny enough when i was about to down the Cheryl she just disconnected me from the match, it said like internet connection or something but when i checked it it was perfectly fine and i've played like 15 games before and i never even lagged so that is completely impossible.
I did not get penalty but it was like my game froze for 15 secs and i just got disconnected with a really weird delay i feel like that was a cheater.
This month alone i've met like 10 subtle cheaters that is just WILD.
-
Well, I played against really good survivors as Ghoul and Krasue, and they were bodyblocking and taking me to very safe tiles where they could waste my time as much as possible and still get the gens done and all that.
Saying the new killers are OP is a huge exaggeration XD
Those killers indeed are A-tier and have potential to be arguably called strong, but DO NOT say they have 0 counterplay because that's straight ignorance.
Ghoul definitely has a higher skill floor with his leaps, and on the other hand Krasue is easier to use; however, there is far more counterplay to her like bodyblocking and being effective with eating mushrooms that give you even temporary protection, if I remember correctly.
Which is still more than enough.
-
That's not a bad idea, however it would force the full rework of this perk, so a better option would be that survivors cannot literally spawn with their butts on top of generators.
-
Amazing, i would love Medusa killer.
We could go into a mix of hindered and stone status effect, i'm absolutely sure survivor mains would cry entire river about this killer.
