  • Yeah we definitely need less Billy and Blight counterplay those Killers were so weak already

  • I’ve wanted Tomie in dbd for ages! I’m so glad she’s finally here <3

  • as a fire up enjoyer I think 5% maybe 6% per token would be nice. I always thought it would be cool if it had an effect at end game when all gens were completed. Maybe a global terror radius…idk.

  • These posts are why I brought exactly 0 cakes or streamers this event as Survivor, despite having hundreds. I have no desire to give Killers bonus BP or fix their broken Mistletoe offering so they can slug me and waste my time

  • I’m confused why this is even being added to DbD…? The primary target audience for FNAF is young teens and children. Is the next collab gonna be Granny or Piggy from Roblox?

  • This game has little transferable skills to and from other games and even between Killers. The game has also been out for a long time.
It’s more noticeable when you play as Survivor compared to Killer imo. There are 38 Killer powers plus their add ons you need to learn how to play against. That’s just a lot of info plus maps (gens, bones, loops)
Also, 500 hours on Nurse vs 500 on Pig is completely different and the same goes for 500 hours on Survivor. 500 hours on Nurse /= good Survivor player or make you good at 115 Killers.

If they wanted to make the game more accessible they could start with stricter matchmaking so people aren’t fed to wolves, stop making heavily sided maps and stop using perks as bandaids for game design flaws (anti tunnel and slug, Killer slowdown)

  • It bothers me on both roles. I have no desire to play against 80+ ping Killers who are rewarded for poor internet while I get wood thunk sounds when Survivors are half way over pallets.

  • That is the power role bleeding you out to try and win harder when the 3K is a win. The Killer (as the power role) is refusing to hook and is attempting to bypass the hatch mechanic. The Survivor is not to blame. This is like blaming the Killer when Survivors 2v1 stealth a lost game.

Also, if every 3K resulted in a 4K kill rates would go up and Killers would likely receive nerfs.

  • Had some fun running a chest build on Survivor but it’s full of slugging and tunneling so feels like a waste a lot. Killer has been fun running Hoarder+Human Greed on Houndmaster and pretending they’re taking my loot.

The snowmen have blocked my dog in search form multiple times as Houndmaster. And being blocked by the snowmen while you’re being tunneled is incredibly irritating. They haven’t helped me once as either role and I don’t like them.

The event stutters and ping is higher especially as Survivor in my experience. I feel like the BP gain is very low if your opponents sweat as either role. I don’t think the event really enhances the fun I have on either role and the best part about it for me is chest builds get more value.

  • Hexes plus Scream addon is her best build, Rapid+STBFL+Rope is 2 tap central, she’s good at Slugging so you can also STBFL+Surge+Knockout and farm DCs if that’s your gig

  • matchmaking bonus is on Killer for me with a 50% bonus and Killer having noticeably shorter queues. I haven’t seen 100% bonus on either role in ages though

I explained it 5x it's really not my fault if you can't comprehend basic logic. I'm not being rude, but if you can't see how your suggestion ruins the game fir the killer side you need to do some soul searching. Please don't reply, you refuse to see anything beyond your incredibly limited POV and don't understand the game at all.

DDon't Like that we got hooked early? Abort! Don't like that there are 4 gens left and 3 survivors? Abort!

You're going to make killer unplayable with your dumb idea if it was ever iimplemented.also simply saying it exists in other games is incredibly stupid, all games aren't the same...

You're also neglecting that there is already an anti-slug mechanic. It's called learning to loop.

Identity V is a 1v4 asymmetrical game with the exact same objectives as this one. Hunter is completely playable there and they have a functioning forfeit system for Hunters and Survivors. Your POV is the one who seems limited if you can’t even comprehend a functional forfeit system. I agree it’s best I don’t reply after this, the best you offer is a viewpoint you can’t explain and petty insults. Cheers <3

I've alreasy explained it 3x so I'm not really going to waste time doing it again, no offense.

Also how does this "vote" work? Does the game just freeze? Is there a button? Does the killer have to agree? When can it be used? I've already said I'm fine with an exit in a 4 man slug, or all remaining slugged. Beyond that it's just an awful idea and if it's what you're proposing I'm incredibly happy you have no input on this game bevlcause you'd break it with ideas like these.

you didn’t explain anything bahaha. Like every other game with a vote to surrender option there would be an option to team vote to end the game after a couple minutes in it. Killers can surrender more easily cause they’re a team of one. No, the other side doesn’t vote to keep you in. Ignoring your rudeness, Identity V is similar to DbD and has a fully functioning surrender system so I’m not sure why it would break the game here.

We already have matches where people off themselves on first hook because they got downed within 30 seconds which ruins the game for other survivors. I guarantee you people would abuse it to enter matches and immediately exit to annoy other players. Which is why I say if it's a 4 slug that's fine, but anything other than that its just ruining the game for everyone because you're unhappy.

The DC penalty is great and I wouldn't want anything to bypass that. To the point I don't think you should be able to off yourself on hook even before there are only two survivors left because at that point its tactical for a hatch play for your teammate.

How do you abuse a surrender vote? Who is trolled by the Survivor or Killer team voting to surrender?

Terrible idea in my opinion. The match is basically lost for everyone once one person leaves as the bots tend to be kinda useless and you're effectively playing 3 v 1 at that point.

Only way I'd think this could work would be if all 4 teammates are slugged, if you offer it at any other point you'll just have trolls entering and surrendering to annoy people. It's bad enough people give up on first hook already.

You already have trolls playing Survivor; this person was slugged after a Survivor sky hatched. Who would be trolled by survivors forfeiting here? Who is trolled by the survivor team or a Killer voting to forfeit?

  • I would love to see DbD implement a surrender option. Unfortunately, it’s just one of the many basic QoL features this game lacks.

  • this is just the new player experience. My brothers 3rd game he was slugged to death by a 2k hour doctor and I didn’t even play with him to avoid that issue. He hasn’t played Survivor since

  • I like this idea! Im a long time Hex fan and tweaking some numbers and buffing counter perks is a great idea to introduce variety into the meta. I’d prefer everybody has strong options instead of us all using the same 6-8 perks!

  • I can’t believe you’ve never seen Survivors give kills, even yesterday I saw a Jake do it for a Houndmaster. I also did it myself recently for a Nurse who continued to try even though she was in a lobby mismatch. Also the one time I had a bug as Wesker that had me stuck all 4 Survivors stayed in the game through EGC to give me the kills and bring me items.

  • she’s super fun to me! I like playing her more than I would have thought. Hexes and STBFL+Rapid are fun to me and she’s great at both. is anyone else finding her kind of relaxing to play?

  • Super strong at defending Hexes with the scream add on. Snug sometimes does weird stuff and could use some fixes but otherwise the power is super fun. Love the design and chase music is pretty good. Snug also drags to where you were when you launched him, not where you are walking if that helps with predicting his pull path!

  • I love Hexes and decided to test Hex builds with the Huntmaster and her scream add on for 6 hours straight while my brother watched. Worst game was a 2k against a super stack. It’s gonna be everywhere once YouTubers start making videos on it.

  • survivor is worse this time around imo. Billy + 1 simulator. Only game I won as Survivor was cause a nurse hit 3 blinks the whole game tops. I’ll stick to other games

  • I main Maria because she’s one of my favorite characters of all time. I even have her butterfly tattoo!

  • Why are people bringing up skill in the comments? I thought this was about defining something. Anyways, tunneling at 5 gens is just tunneling idk why there’s two definitions. It’s just the best time to do it because the sooner someone is removed the harder it is for Survivors to win. I’d also argue good gen rush squads don’t just bring gen perks tbh. All 4 people don’t need Streetwise or Prove.

  • if you’re a solo survivor who’s competent just stop playing! I still play Killer sometimes but bhvr allowing survivor to exist in its current state is ridiculous. I didnt pay money for half of the game to be fix gens until I lose simulator. There are other team based games that allow you to carry and aren’t auto losses before you even load in. Overwatch is free to try and has abilities as well

  • freggy krueder

  • it’s pretty boring and promotes sitting on gens. you can’t really interact with a teleport to hook ability so I’d rather not see it at all

  • You can get slugged and not even play the game. You get less points. You’re in chase less. You lose more often. You can have 0 input in how a game turns out. Killers can lobby dodge you indefinitely. Sure if you like hitting skill checks on gens Survivor is fun but I’d rather go play a rhythm game.

I know it's not everyone's view but the new killers are just not as fun to run against as well. It's pushed me away from playing it.

I like facing like half the killers but when im on killer i can ignore them

It may not be the same reason but I feel like it’s rooted in a similar cause. It just doesn’t matter if certain things are balanced when it’s unfun. Like, I know tunneling and slugging for the 4K are totally valid. They’re in the game and don’t break any rules. That doesn’t mean that the gameplay loop it creates is suddenly fun.

  • I mained Hag before SM got her rework. Hag is good even against a SWF if you can stay cool and smart. Her power allows her to chain hits faster than almost all Killers. But the amount of stress she induces is insane. I played her for ages and still no other Killer comes remotely close to how it feels playing Hag against a good SWF who know the trap “tech”. Also people are incredibly mean when you play her.

  • There’s no reason for good solo Survivors to play. Killers will chase you for like 30 seconds and then drop chase to go tunnel someone else out. Then you’ll get slugged for the 4K. So your reward for putting effort into learning Survivor is to sit on gens and lay on the ground doing nothing…? I’d rather go play anything else.

  • Hillbilly is much stronger than Blight and easily competes with Nurse for best Killer in the game. He’s 115, has an insta down, has better mobility and suffers far less than Blight, Nurse and Spirit for missing or using his power. Being insta down means he forces pre drops more than Spirit or Blight. He’s worse than the others at windows theoretically but they always run Crowd Control or Bamboozle because blocking windows is beneficial to him anyways because he has an insta down. Billy is absolutely better than Blight.

Has anyone with BHVR acknowledged that they’re aware of these reports and they’re looking into it?

Every event there’s always an issue

I don’t think so. I haven’t seen anything official but I hope someone sees it because the bug genuinely looks like hacking. I hope when Xbox players join us they can quickly iron out the bugs….

  • If anything they need more anti aura options. Maps are becoming smaller and Lethal Pursuer removes Survivor’s early game stealth (where they’re strongest) and only Distortion counters it. Besides Killers should be capable of knowing where most Survivors are in the map after the first chase. They have to do gens to live and they can’t teleport around. If you can’t figure out where Survivors are consistently it’s not Distortion’s fault.

  • I saw someone get teleported to hook for a pallet save too! Also if you get a flashlight save on the Killer as they do the remote hook thing the Survivor becomes stuck even past EGC. Forcing the Killer to DC to end the game.

  • Yeah isn’t Spirit’s like 2 seconds? DS also has a bug where you float into the air and become unable to interact with anything. You can still block windows by attempting to vault them three times though. Tunneling is super strong rn

  • You can play Mario Party online and it has a sticker communication system at least. People absolutely will rage quit when they get hit with a string of bad luck or can’t win mini games.

    @Iron_Cutlass said:

A "Party Game", in more modern definitions, is used to refer to a multiplayer (online or in-person) game that normally consisting of a series of short minigames, that can easily be played within a social setting.

When I think of a Party Game, I usually think of Jackbox Games or Mario Party, games that rely on social interaction to provide a fun and unique experience, which Jackbox provides, or a series of minigames that provide variety and draw in the players attention, like Mario Party.

But I often see "Dead by Daylight is a Party Game, it shouldnt be taken seriously", and which I ask, is it really a Party Game?

In Public Matches, Dead by Daylight is not a super serious competitive game. There is no Ranked/Unranked queue, just a single queue. Official Tournaments funded by BHVR are not really done anymore either, so most of the competitive aspects come from the community-made events that generally come from a lot of passion and love for the game.

But just because it's not super competitive does not automatically umbrella it as a Party Game either, which is what a lot of people dont understand (in my opinion). Dead by Daylight is, at least by definition, not a Party Game. And even if it were, people would not throw such a fit about winning/losing or how other people play a game. Clearly there is some competitive aspect to drive people into such a direction.

So where does this leave us?

Well, somewhere in the middle. DBD is not a Party Game, but it's not a super serious competitive game either, it's within a middle area between the two in which aspects of either can co-exist and should co-exist without either being deemed as problematic.

If you want to play hyper casually and dont care about winning or losing, you should be able to do that without any issues. Likewise, if you want to play hyper competitive and do care about winning or losing, you should be able to do that without any issues. The game enables both as valid ways to play the game, but neither side should act as if their way of playing actively dictates how the other should play.

You’ve never seen casual people asking for Killer builds to jumpscare their friends because they take turns doing it? How is this not a party game? They’re jumpscaring eachother live on coms for fun. Just because we go online to play a game doesn’t change what it is. Making a comparison between public DbD and private Mario Party matches also isn’t really fair when public Mario Party matches exist with a single queue as well. People get mad and DC in MP online too. It’s still a party game.

  • I main SM who is supposedly super hated but see this behavior pretty rarely in my games. Maybe like 1/15?

  • DS is still bugged from the ptb and OtR is nullified by hitting someone off hook which happens with tunneling anyways. It’s amazing that the perks survivors are forced to run to combat tunneling aren’t even functional. Tunneling as killer is free wins all day rn but at least Survivors can play a song because haha funny ig

  • Chaos Shuffle is gone which means back to rarely playing Survivor. My reward for being a competent looper is sitting on gens through a game of slowdowns while a Killer tunnels out my teammate who can’t loop. Then if I don’t die second I get to wait out my teammate or I getting slugged because the Killer wants a 4k. Every game I own is more fun than that.

  • In my experience my fastest games are usually the Killer tunneling a Survivor out of the game while everyone else is forced to do gens. I don’t want that longer. I’d love to be chased and do bones and chests but if the Killer is tunneling and proxy camping my only option is gens. I feel like a lot of killers conveniently ignore how their actions and playstyles can dictate how survivors play and how fast the game is going to be.

  • Yes, a lot of newer Killers are designed to be easy anti loop and it causes chases to be boring. Chucky, Xenomorph in Crawler, Knight and Unknown are all free hits if the Killer has a brain. Their anti loop is extremely formulaic and boring. I’d much rather face 20 Nurse, Blight, or Weskers in a row than see any of those poorly designed Killers.

  • I don’t think it’s the only reason but people absolutely do quit more often when their role/Killer is weaker. Role strength and how much someone feels they can affect a match contributes to DCs. If someone is playing a weaker role/Killer and no longer feels like they can influence the match they are more prone to giving up.
@Crowman …. I’m new to the forums idk why it got rid of the quote sorry

  • @Tzimiscelord said:

I think comparing a lobby dodge that means 20-30 seconds of additional search with ruining a match of 7-8 minutes a bit misleading at best…… or deceitful at worst.

It doesn’t ruin a match if a group of Survivors who are bad go against a backfill Killer way out of their league? It doesn’t ruin the match for the backfill baby Killer who’s getting bullied because experienced Killers didn’t want to deal with flashlights/toolboxes? Killers who lobby dodge can ruin matches for five other people before they even begin.

  • Killers DCing or AFKing used to be way more common a couple years ago when they were universally weaker. The same thing is happening to Solo Survivors now. 4 man’s are typically not the survivors who are DCing. Just like it wasn’t Nurses who DCed when Killer was weaker. They need to examine the reasons Survivors DC otherwise it won’t change. You won’t convince people to sit through a ten minute cutscene of them losing while they eat pallets/gen slowdowns.

  • Solo is so bad and I wouldn’t care if I died most of the time if the role was fun or my skill mattered more. Most of my games are me doing gens while a worse looper gets tunneled. Then when I finally do get chased most loops have been burned and the Killer is slugging for the 4K. I don’t blame the killer for avoiding good loopers but I don’t blame Survivors for joining a SWF to solve solo issues.
