The mode is fine. It just needs to be more blanced. It's the best mode DbD has come up with so far and I hate all the other ones and only played them 1 time. Where as 2v8, I just keep queing up. I started this mode after 3 days of it's initial release and I had a 6 win streak and then after that, things went down hill. I think I've had maybe 4 wins in the span of 5 hours of playing in the past 2 days as survivor?
There is a reason why there is 400% bp bonus and a long Killer Q. It's extremely killer sided and playing Killer is way more fun. The mode has potential and is way better than any of the other modes they've come up with. However, they ruined it with the aura reading perks. Killers quite literally have 2 ways to read aura's and Huntress has 3 ways. Where as Survivors have 1 which is if you get a scout on your team.
Killer Skill Perks: While in chase, a survivor is revealed for 5 seconds and on top of that, if your partner in crime is within 20 meters of you while you are in chase with a survivor you get an added 15 seconds. After kicking a gen, you see survivor aura's within 20 meters for 5 seconds. Huntress: "Team Skill" allows the huntress to see a survivors arura for 5 seconds after she hits someone with a Hatchet.
MEANWHILE……
Survivor aura reading perks are heavily reliant on a "Scout" which btw not many take advantage of. Obviously this isn't DbD's fault for players refusing to be a Scout or even a Medic because quite honestly their dull. However, I'm a Scout all the time and the amount of games where I'm the only Scout is crazy to me. It's the most valuable perk out of them all.
As for Nurse, she's pretty OP in this game mode. If you look at her Innate Skill, it's a long list of things INCLUDING the aura reading perks that every killer gets.
- Increase the length of Blink Attack lunges by 30%. (excuse me?)
- Increase reach by 30% with each consecutive blink. (On top of the 30% lunge she gets, okay.)
- DECREASE the duration of Blink Fatigue by 7% (Which means she can blink again pretty fast even if you have distance on her she's right in your face AGAIN)
- Teleporting within 1 meter of a survivor make them SCREAM
- Decrease fatigue from Chain Blinks by 65%
- Increase movement speed during a chain Blink by 30%
- Increase the duration of the chain Blink window by 0.2 seconds.
- Decrease fatigue from missing Special Attacks by 0.5 seconds.
On top of that, she has an additional blink (that's 3 btw) if she's 16 meters of her team mate.
Other Survivor Classes
- "Escapist" is only good if you're running the killer, however if you do it for too long - even for just 30 seconds, the other killer interferes and stops the chase. It's enough, but sometimes people don't use it to run a killer, but use it to get away and leading them to other survivors who are on gens. All I see is one person going down within 5 seconds of the match and then I see 2 killer aura's beating the crap out of them.
- "Medic" well, not many use this class and when they do, they aren't doing what they are meant to do which is healing injured survivors that they can see the aura's of. I have to get off the gen to save these people when Medic is supposed to be doing it. It's not even valuable anyway, but if they were doing the healing etc, other people could be on gens or distracting the killer.
- "Guide" class is used, and I don't really have anything negative to say about it. I see gens light up so it means they are doing their job as a guide.
This game mode would be great if it had 0 perks and reliant on Killer Powers only and Survivors having "Items" that they start out with. Items should be limited to only 2 people able to have flashlight for instance, 2 med kits, 2 tool boxes (with Brand New Part) and 2 Maps (with the ability to see generator when used and other survivor aura's) with no chests in the game.
The aura reading is my main issue with this mode and it's always been an issue to me in normal mode as well. But in this mode, there is way too much of it.
No one wants to be on survivor because it's not fun at all. Since it's been almost a week now since the game mode has come out, Killers are teaming up to take 1 person out and I'm seeing 3 cages at the same time go up with survivors in it because of the lack of ability to escape it or escape in general. Sure there is gen rushing, however Survivors have no choice in the matter because being in chase isn't fun because 9/10 times the other killer interferes or the killer aura reading stops you from playing mind games with them. The fun part of being Survivor is the chase and when that's not possible, what do Survivors have that's fun?

I don't think people understand how strong this event is for killers. When you're trying to loop a killer and they break pallet while STILL running around the loop, that's pretty broken because they will catch up to you within a second or 2 because they broke the pallet and do not have to change direction. I have been downed plenty enough by a loop that should have lasted longer because the killer was breaking pallet while still moving. They even have a instant down and you can't tell me that's not broken, because it is.
Survivors get an extra pallet but you literally have to time it because if you drop it without stunning them, it breaks. The stun doesn't even last long and when you do stun them, the pallet also breaks. Majority of the windows on a map don't even need to be crossed over because the killer just goes around it anyway.
I've played both sides and the event for the killer is way more game changing.

Didn't BHVR out right say they favor killers and want a higher win rate for them? LOL And you're upset that survivors are complaining? Survivors are literally BHVR's red headed step child where as the killers are their babies. I lost so much respect for BHVR when they out right said they favored their killers more so than Survivors. It's almost like they forgot that without Survivors, they'd have no game to play.
Killers have no real penalties. No one ever talks about this either. When a Killer disconnects, everyone does too. When a killer stands and camps someone without having to move, they get a 4k and Survivors are left to try and punish the killer for doing so, not BHVR. When a killer goes AFK, nothing happens to them. They don't get birds or kicked from the game, they just stand there.
Survivor's get punished the most. When a Survivor sits in the game after lever has been pulled, there is a bar at the top that when it ends and the survivor is still there, the survivor dies by the entity. When a survivor disconnects, the other 3 are forced to stay in a game where there is even a less of a chance of winning and the killer still get's the points for the disconnect as though they killed them. If they stay in one place even though they are still there playing the game, just hiding, they get birds above their head that tells the killer where they are.

idk man, I just started playing a month ago and I feel like I've gone against people WAY out of my league
People having golden guns and cool skins n ######### and I'm over here just trying to fist people
Which mode are you playing? If you are playing Comp, there is MMR and SR. If you're playing Quickplay (Unranked) and Arcade, MMR and SR aren't there. You get matched up with whoever queues up at the same time as you.
It's the same with League of Legends. If you play Arams or an event mode, you are going to be matched with whoever. I don't play normal mode (unranked) enough to see if people are more skilled than me.
Either way, DbD matchmaking is nothing like other games. The MMR is hidden we are told, yet I see someone like Skermz who solo queues and gets baby survivors who have only been playing for like 20 hours or whatever. Sometimes even baby killers and he's a skilled DbD player.
Trying to justify DbD's matchmaking is nuts to me. I started playing again (only played a total of like 300 hours or so) and the killer had TTV in their name so I went to play back the game I played with them and guess what? Legit a iridescent killer. I am an Ash player, playing against an iridescent killer. ????????????????

I don't think tunneling/camping or slugging are exploits. It's very toxic and unfun to do as a killer and the only people who do this are upset about something or desperate for BP. Behavior has tried to lesson campers by adding a new character with a perk that allows 30 more seconds on a hook. But it's a useless perk for the most part.
This means, Behavior is well aware that camping sucks, yet makes a Killer whose kit allows him to camp anyone he wants. What I don't understand is (and I see this a lot), is when someone is clearly being hooked no one punishes the killer. Punish the killer by rushing gens. Too many times, I see survivors try and unhook and trade etc, that no gens are getting done and the killer ends up winning. Killer is laughing at you because you played right into his/her hands. Just stop trying to save 1 person and win the game if the killer wants to camp and tunnel. Slugging is the easiest to overcome in my opinion. It just depends on when the slugging starts and it's usually towards the end of a game where there are still 3-4 people OR when there is only 2 people left with no hope of gens getting done.

This explains the increase in cheating, suciders, gen rushers and disconnects. I understand BHVR wanted a scary game, but it's almost like they never intended survivors to be smart enough to figure out game mechanics. When they saw that the killer and survival rates were too close together (close to balance as you're gonna get btw), they were like lets nerf and buff some things to make it killer sided. We want the killer to be scary! No BHVR, after a couple hours of playing, the game is no longer scary. All you did was encourage bad behavior to survivors who have given up on even remotely trying and wanting nothing to do with the role because the chances of surviving is stacked against us. As a survivor main, I prefer playing killer.
I don't even blame killers or survivors. I blame the company who made this game. Literally made the changes they did so that killers would be on top. Why does it have to be an on top situation? Why are you holding unskilled players' hands and helping them get their kills? You handicapped a role in order to see an increase in another roles kill rate. How can you want that for your game? I've already seen an increase in cheaters. All they are going to do is come back because the bans aren't IP based, it's account based. So all they do is go buy the game again and cheat. You know why they do that? Because they think the game is a joke and if BHVR isn't taking the game seriously, why should they? We're all just here to have fun after all.

I'm sorry, but what?
DBD literally explained that it had to do with perks and all the changes they did to them. Yet you're talking about an MMR none of us have a single clue about. We don't know how the MMR works. You're speculating that that's why the killer rates are 61%. You're missing the fact that before, killer rates and survivor rates were at least close, but now has a significant gap in rates.
How can you completely dismiss the DbD post that literally says:
"In Dead by Daylight, the Killer should strike fear into the Survivors. Part of this comes from being a big, scary looking person or monster, while another part of this comes from their ability to kill you. Before the 6.1.0 Update, we found Killers to be a little lacking. As a result, we introduced several changes to improve Killer quality of life & make them more deadly. Beyond that, we made significant changes to many of the most & least used Killer perks.
The result of these changes: The average kill rate (percentage of all Survivors killed) rose by about 8%. This leaves Killers- on average- within a range that we’re comfortable with, making them deadly, but not oppressive.
More significantly, the variety of perks being used saw huge improvements. The previously most used perk, Barbecue & Chilli, went from being used in 40% of all Killer loadouts to only 17%. Jolt, meanwhile, climbed from 13% usage to 19%. Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance dropped slightly, going from 20% usage to 17%, just barely beating Barbecue and Chilli for the number 2 spot.
Other top 10 most used Killer perks include: Sloppy Butcher, Save the Best for Last, Overcharge, Thanatophobia, Call of Brine, Hex: No One Escapes Death, and Corrupt Intervention.
Overall, the disparity between the highest and lowest usage rates is significantly smaller than before. We intend to continue monitoring and fine-tuning perks as needed going forward, but already we’re seeing far more variety than in the old meta."
^ you're just gonna ignore that then?

If the killer slugs you at 5 gens and your team doesn't come to get you at all. People have said just bleed out but it takes forever. I've been just DCing when this happens as it basically ruins my experience but with the DC penalty, you still have to wait. I can understand slugging being a tactic to put pressure but at 5 gens? I don't understand.
What do you do?
I need more context. Because I know that I only do this when I screw up and pick the survivor up, but no hook nearby. Did the killer pick you up and you struggled, then he dropped you? Because the moment the killer picks you up, you'll be able to struggle out of his grasp. You can tell when killers are slugging to be toxic and to waste your time. A lot of them have big ego's and nod at you while you're on the ground or on hook. But if they are slugging and they have no other option because otherwise the survivor will struggle out and get free. Then it's hard to be mad about that. At least for me.

Its either impossible or down right pointless.....BHVR requires "video footage" which is the dumbest report system ever known to gaming history.
Imagine needing evidence in all facets of life, even video games.
It's not as dumb as you think. People falsely report a player for cheating in every single type of game out there. You may be confident someone is cheating, but there isn't a way for BHVR to determine there was a cheater in your game. It's not that hard to record someone cheating. In fact, it's very easy - especially if you catch it early.
If anything, BHVR needs to have a replay match system so that every match is recorded and deleted after a few days. The player will be able to download the replay and give it to BHVR for evidence.
