it's too bad. i have put mass time into getting better with her but it has become apparent through gameplay and confirmed here that such an option isn't available. thanks, all.

is there any hope of this getting better?
-
i can accurately land at gens with great consistency.

Killing yourself on hook is the same as disconnecting because you intentionally end the game quickly.
no, it actually isn't and has been verfied on this forum many times. opinions do not make facts.

Is it really normal for 4 gens to be done in under 2 minutes? Because that's what happened to me in the past 4 games.
i don't even need to read past here to know what this thread contains. outrage and horror that microphones are bad for this game is certain however. yeah, i played five games as killer today and what you describe is precisely what i experienced. one could always camp/tunnel to level the playing field (most swf survivors want this to justify the use of mics) but i will pass on that. all my killers are p3 level 50 and 0-1 kills is the norm now.
i am not surprised to see killers like legion and vomit mama as it has become impossible for one killer to keep four survivors off 7 gens. like ardetha has said "most survivors don't seem to know that they can win almost every game if they just do gens". well...the secret is out.

lol, i was hoping for that or some equivalant.

Letting yourself die on the hook
Killing yourself on the hook, as a survivor, is a big deal to your team.
However, it is part of the game and we are not going to punish for it.Disconnections
As stated multiple times before, we have a system that takes care of disconnections.
We know it is far from perfect but it is the best we can do with the information and the type of network / hosting the game is allowing (Peer to Peer). Hopefully the arrival of Dedicated Servers will allow us to tighten the rules on Disconnection. The current system: After a player disconnects more than a certain percentage of their games over a definite period of time, they get a temporary ban. Multiple temporary bans can lead to a permanent ban. If they have not played more than a certain number of games, they will not be punished. The numbers are kept secret to avoid exploiting.
And I do hope that the introduction of dedicated servers will fix more issues, and I also understand from a programming side why you've been more forgiving as till now. However, you must realize that the system isn't working if people are still DCing game after game. There is no fear of punishment, so people continue to do it.
As far as killing yourself on the hook, I know what the rules state currently, but I'm asking why is it being allowed. Your team specifically went against dodging and quitting games due to playing against a specific killer in the past during the whole ping addon phase. So if you have a player killing themselves on the hook over and over again causing three man games or worse e of the killer, why are they not being punished? I can understand if you don't have the proof that it's what they are doing, but like in the case that started this she specifically stated that's what she's doing. There's video, and her own words showing that. Is BHVR fine with people causing matches to be ruined time and time again just because people feel like it? If I wanted to go kill myself over and over again every game just because BHVR would be fine with that? What if everyone started doing it and the only ones left were the people trying to actually play the game, don't you think that would start to ruin the game and cause it to go downhill? I understand there are limitation, but when a player hits the ready button they are agreeing to play the game, not to just throw it away.
could always stop contributing behavior such as chasing off hook. see if that makes a difference.

as survivor, i suicide on the hook if i think i am going to be tunneled. i also don't rescue if i think the survivor will be tunneled. why feed such behavior? they wanna be boring? let me be boring too.
i compare this behavior to those people in call of duty who memorize spawn points and then shoot through the walls to kill people as soon aa they spawn and not give them a chance. it's the exact same thing
people with mics? i am only too happy to furnish camp/tunnel. otherwise...not needed.
I get why you would suicide on hook but at the same time the probpem there is it makes it harder for the others to pip since one of them will be tunneled next and it rewards crappy killers.
Pipping is not a reward. If all 4 just kill themselves on hook they robbed the killer of his time too.
it is. as dictated by the killer. the alternative is allowing the killer rehooks and rewarding the behavior. -

Make it better for the killer to spread out damage than to kill a single survivor ASAP. I've made countless suggestions over the years on how this could be accomplished, but survivors seem less interested in making it worthwhile for the killer than just outright punishing killers for not playing how they want.
You take it wrong. I play both sides equally.
Okay then perhaps you can see why adding a mild BP and elbem penalty for going after the same survivor multiple times on a short Cool-down would help incentivize killers who want BP to spread out damage. rather than going after the same person right after an unhook. Could add a mild buff to chaser emblem to balance this. You see what Im getting at? It would actually help newer killers win more if they adopt this play-style while being more fun for survivors not to be tunneled to death in the first 3 minutes of game. Im not asking for anything major just sort of the thing they did for proximity to hooked survivor to decentralize camping.
Punishment doesn't work, try again.
Also, drop the act. You and I both know that getting rid of a survivor as quickly as possible is the most efficient way to play. Everyone knows that. Playing efficiently should not be punished just because you can't handle losing.it isn't about an inability to handle losing. it is about being subjected to an experience once you have been caught once as it then becomes impossible to escape. that is not a competition anynore once the first hook is had.
