Is this a WoO thing or you just trolling? WoO has no drawback unless you're seasoned. Then its kind of stupid to pick.

I've heard 'It tells you dead zones your team has made'. You agree? Thats about as much value one can get from this perk unless you're super new.

    Thoughts? Genuinely curious. :)

It has one drawback, it can sometimes confuse when a blindness status effect puts it off, and if you only play with it, it could be detrimental (edit: kinda like a drug where you would be in lack of it...).

We just need 5 second DS back

Nope, DS is fine as is, there is no counterplay to ds for the killer in a situation where you are getting tunnelled, you just need to do gens while he is getting tunnelled, and then the killer gets a 2k at most, while you didn't sweat.

From my experience, tunneling can backfire if that team is a swf or if they are good enough, cauz if you full tunnel on a swf you can make the killer lose 5 gens, by making the tunnelled survivor go to the area where gens are finished, so if i think that generally, if they are prepared, survivors will win, so buffing DS will not solve the problem ...

Edit:( Im just saying that dbd can already make ppl miserable, and tunneling is not always by choice, and having perks to fix bad desing is bad, so don't buff DS, add more basekit time of speed after getting unhooked)

(I am making the assomption that the survivors do not make an error big enough to compromise that plan and that they loop well enough)

  • I play meg, so ... yeah ... That's annoying even tough it's not that false...

  • Deja vu is quite underrated but is still quite underused, as long as not everybody is playing it, it's ok. Could be nerfed depending on the number of gen done like 1/2 % bonus less for the first three ...

Prove could be unfair if two were stacked, but now that it is nerfed, it's more ok.

Resilience is quite a useful perk but could be tuned down for gens, like bettween 3% and 6% speed...

    Dying light is trash...

    Possible solutions :

Put it as a hex and upgrade the effects to 5% or maybe like 10 at best (still will be useless at the begining of the game) ...

Could also work with the same kind of principle as stbfl : +2 for hooking a non obsession and - 4 for the obsession ...

Or you could also make it apply on all conspicuous actions.

Lastly you could buff it by removing all restrictions (obsession boost, depends on the obsession being alive and obsession not giving the effect), it wouldn't even be played i bet ...

So yeah not comparable many of the existing perks could be buffed ...

I don't understand what you are asking exactly but i hope it answers it...

Main killer btw and not really annoyed with the gens perks, just afraid of all of them stacking too easily and games going from 5 minutes to like 2 min...

  • I think a perk whose counter is not to play in a certain way but to have another perk is of bad desing, i think ftp should be nerfed to have the time to have been downed (or standing still if it seems more balanced idk) since 2 seconds or a little more, for the killer to have the time to counter the combo and still being punished if they play in a certain way ...

And then it's perfectly balanced and nice to verse because of being counterable...

    Edit :

You admit in your post there is a counter in STBFL. Just because it may not have the strength that you want it to have does not equal no counter.

I love how ppl say that and then will say to nerf STBFL because it's too strong, but it's strong because of the endurance meta ...

And there is no possiblility of adding more counters... cause combo with STBFL would be too strong ...

  • Personnaly I usually do not tunnel apart if I really am losing, and even then I do not care enough to go out of my way to win (putting apart challenges).

But if I am disadvantaged, I don't go out of my way to not tunnel either and I do secure kills in endgame but if you risk going for the save, you not getting it, or dying yourself is the consequence of your actions and not mine, so i take what i can in a losing game.

And of course i play nice in a better mood and in a meaner way if i am angry IRL ...

Other can do it too, not to excuse everybody, but there are ppl who tunnel out of nowhere for no reason, maybe their dog or one of their familly just died, keep in mind that whatever you say can have consequences for their lifes.

If you are angry about how they played you can just tell them how you feel about it, maybe they could eventually cool down and maybe vent their anger elsewhere or play another way (I did have a situation like that a few months ago and that would have been the best way to help me).

    Have a good day ;)

  • Personnaly he is pain everywhere if you are bad but it's like ur a 4.6 m1 if you are on an indoor map ...

My pain.exe is more like : "yeah another bad map for:

    billy ;)

    huntress :(

    blight :)

    nurse :)

    singularity :(

m1 (too much pallets and still balanced like 4 years ago ? No ?)"

No it shouldn't? Just because you don't like Singu doesn't mean others don't. I for one love his gameplay, and love going against him. He is by far the best designed killer among the last chapter releases imo.

thx for defending the one killer i like to decompress with ...

  • survivor

endgame powerhouse : adrenaline, hope, sprint burst, delivrance. (that one's my favorite)

genrusher : deja vu, resilience, prove, blast mine. (4ppl who run that can make gen go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

support : we'll make it , vigil , any means, sprint burst. (those are not that strong but very pleasant to play)

    Killer

normal casual : pop, shadow born, Trilling tremors, bam/brutal.

full chaser : stbfl, dissolution, rapid brutality, spirit fury/brutal. (that one i like it most on clown)

stealthy boy : monitor N abuse, furtive chase , sloppy , pop. (works better for non stealth killers)

try hard : pop , pain res, sloppy, ultimate weapon. (dirty on blight)

  • To respond to the post ... yes I think so:

    -Just to practice.

-For making you proud of yourself for hitting it.

-For making it deserved for killers.

-You think it's easy to stab a killer ?

-For the devs to feel like the perk is more balanced.

-And for the stress of not hitting it that makes me love the game ...

According to who? You? When did the devs say what you're claiming DS to be. Like they would ever say "it's for good players to punish tunnelling". Lol. Get real.

BHVR didn't make it explicit and around 80 perks need to be rebalanced but since they like more to make skins ...

DS is used for being able to make the killer lose time on tunneling but is not forcely intended... and that is why DS should be rebalanced like the 80 perks that are too weak, too strong or too useless they sould, but since BHVR doesn't seem to care about their game ...

  • I don't really think that an easier skill check is usefull since being able to hit it means you worked for it. Because it is your fault if you fail it and that perk is very strong, the amont of time lost by the killer is like exchanging a perk slot for the time to do at minima 1 more gen since all the survivor on the map are possibly woking on gens.

But i think they should actually balance it that way:

    buff:

    -delete the timer.

-make it multiple use(after each hook, it makes it useable twice...)

    nerf :

-make all the objectives or tasks disable it apart for vaulting and getting healed (or mend but that would be normal since you are forced to)

-If there is an other survivor hooked this perk desactivates.

And then i will not tunnel someone at the fist hook out of fear of wasting my timethen you have a perk that disable tunnel completely since for each hook you have DS and if the killer hooks someone besides you it isn't tunneling...And can you really slug with the actual meta ?

I look forward for your comments.

And Im sorry to say it for the survivor mains but the problem in DBD is not the meta or the strategic choices. It's dead hard and the lack of variety in each game since there shouldn't be an unlimited third life for every one in every game and this perks conter absolutely everything and that is the problem. And don't ask why a killer tunnel because you already understand everything about it ... And yes I hate this perk that makes me lose most of my lost matches.

  • For me the only way to resond to the topic is by saying that the nurse is the strongest and 2nd hardest to master killer now and is desined to be lacking nothing and being the limit to the strenght of the killers as she should always be the number one.

    sorry for triple post ...

  • Because I find those perks so frequently that I vent my anger by try harding on nurse or blight....

Just to kill more since all survivor are killable in 3 hits ...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/317530/whats-the-point-of-the-nurse

i support dc's/suicides against nurse. game was so much more fun without this constantly-gasping-for-air killer. i mean damn, look at her new meta perks, floods of rage/MYC, who the hell wants to play against that?

So you are a typical survivor main who complain about killer meta and plays dead hard, bt, ds and prove yourself ?

Or are you just not living in the same world as me ?

  • @MissBehavingX said:

I was told that some addons were bugged and that was contributing to making her OP, is this true?

In fact the range addons have actualy an hidden effect that is bond to the code and that is seemly not on purpose ... IT MAKES THE BLINKING SPEED PROPORTIONNAL TO THE RANGE INCREASE AND IS CLEARLY OP, but nurse isn't that eazy to fix and is quite annoying to code in my opinion ... So yeah range addons are busted... For now they are even stronger than the recharge addons... so just don't try it it is really too strong if you are good with her.

I played one game with the two range addons and got a 4 k at 5 gens with an endgame build ... and win quite easily the other games...

  • Or you can listen for the steps if you have a good headset ... those also work on healthy survivor but your realy need a good headset... if you don't then good luck...

  • For killer:(mmr won is 5 point for each kill if mmr is equal and is beggining at -5 or -10 idk bettween the two.)

-4k is 15 or 20(depending of the beggining number),

-3k is 10 or 15 (depending of the beggining number),

-2k is either a draw or a light win(depending of the beggining number),

-1k is a light defeat or a draw(depending of the beggining number),

-0k is a loss(not depending of the beggining number),

    For surv:(If mmr is equal...)

    -escape +10

-escape by the hatch is 0

-death (no matter the way of dying(if you don't escape but you return in the lobby, you have died)) is -10

Don't take in account anything else.(So hard to come up with and absolutely representative of skill in dbd in the opinion of the lead game desiner...)

To add to this every other * competitive * game that has ranked matches they have the normal games option too which is more casual and easier but in DBD everyone is forced into ranked.

but no one would play on the ranked mode in dbd ... even if it existed ... :(

The problem is the meta perks ... that just need to be suppressed not for the other to be buffed and no one seem to understand that within the devs

and the gain in mmr is too big ...

and the 1v1v1v1v1 is ridiculous you sould be gaining mmr for each person that escapes in your lobby and some bonus if you escaped by the door yourself ...

    all this stuff sadden me...

  • These problems are all coming from one thing the mmr...

As we all know, patrick said " we have no plan to; remove the mmr, make DS base kit and create a replay of the games played ..."(without the reason behind).

Since they respond to none of the questions directly in the FAQs and are rather concentrated on the global statistics, new content and fixing the lights issues that are affecting a part only of the players .The game is becoming corrupted by cheaters, bad gestion of priorities, and wrong objctives.

What they sould do is remake the game's code from the ground and stop doing content that will surely make the burden bigger on the players.

AND FORGET ABOUT MAKING AN ASYMETRICAL GAME COMPETITIVE !!!!!!!!!

    (for three reason :

-firstly there is too many bugs in the game.

-hackers(reason a little weak but i think anyone will agree that it is a problem).

-Since when is a competitive game interesting when it is asymetrical and the two group of players haven't the same strength, nor the same number and without the same objective(not like hockey)).

Is a balanced DBD realy what we want ?(the lead game desiner seem to say a yes but not explicitely ... so sad).

That is my review of the state of dead by daylight at the present day.
