Just because blight isn't getting changes this mid chapter doesn't mean blight isn't on the radar for some. If you at look the unused addon buffs they are just small number buffs. While they won't change why the addons weren't used, they are simple to do compared to full addon reworks. This mid chapter has quite a bit of stuff to it so it's reasonable that the devs aren't going to address everything in a single mid chapter.
It's been what? 3 years? If Blight is on the radar what the ######### are they waiting for?

"bHVR would not do anything unless there was a good reason" - Emeal 2023.
I see you're new to this game.

Another response and round of suggestions by someone who actually plays Hillbilly.

Listening to the professional Hillbilly players is what caused Hillbilly to be insufferable to play as for any casual player. He is just too hard to play and only hardcore experts play him. Listen instead to the rest of the community who does not play him, ask them why they don't play him. Hillbilly is like Nurse in that regard, completely insufferable to play as except you get mediocre results for your sweat. bHVR could have given him quality of life, change the power. but that would not fly.
Leather face is a much more viable and open to other players kind of Killer, but you have to pay for him.
Like have you seen the gameplay vs a Good Hillbilly? they walking back and forth revving the chainsaw around the same loop for a min and then BOOM insta-down. Its super boring and Im glad I never see a Hillbilly nor have any want to play as them. Hillbilly needs a full rework of his Power and a reduction of addons that show too high a kill rate is a good solution while we wait. Make Hillbilly fun and easier to play instead of gatekeeping him hard.
You're probably one of the only players I've ever run into that sees it this way. From a survivor stand point Billy has a huge amount of counter play and enjoyable looping, usually always involving skill from both sides. Billy isn't insufferable to play because his power, or addons, or the skill floor and ceiling being high. Billy is insufferable to play for a lot of people because of the overheat mechanic as well as the map design over the past 2-3 years making him suffer more than most other killers.
Almost every survivor regardless of skill that I run into when I play Billy enjoys going against him, especially when using double engravings and curving. That sentiment is also shared heavily in the community on these forums and on reddit. You literally sound like you've attempted playing him for 5 hours and quit, that isn't a problem with the killer, that's a problem with you.
-
Came here to post the same thing, Billy can already feel awful to play and playing Billy with double engravings takes a lot of time investment. How can you guys honestly nerf double engravings while leaving Blight's speed addons completely untouched? Or his alch ring? Are you guys blind? Seriously, the changes are ridiculous at this point, find a better way to interpret the stats you take and start listening to people who actually play the game.

@Mandy is there seriously still nothing to share on this? It's been like a year since BHVR said they would support this at some stage and there has been nothing but a wall of silence ever since.

As others have mentioned the game runs perfectly but when you try to join any online games you'll get disconnected as the loading screen starts due to EAC. Using the Survive with Bots or Kill the Bots modes I was able to get a constant 120fps with proton experimental, performance seems to be on par with Windows.
Now just to wait for this to be enabled!

I think you've hit a false dichotomy here.
Both of those things can be true.
Survivors don't deserve free escapes, and killers don't deserve free kills.
I don't think anyone's asking for anti camp/tunnel/slug perks to be disabled. I...can't think of any posts along these lines since 6.1.0.
In terms of EOGC kills, that's...complicated.
The issue is that the endgame should be a crisis point for both sides, but for the longest time it was only a crisis point for killers.
On the other hand, the sides are different. A 4k feels bad for survivors. A 0k feels bad for killers. Thus, we have tools like Hatch to help at least one survivor get away, and killers will often camp in the EOGC to help them get...something.
Perks like DS and OTR are utterly miserable to face in the endgame, because these do often give completely free escapes. A savvy group of survivors can save someone getting camped in the EOGC, pretty often. But if someone has DS or OTR up, there's absolutely zero counterplay and they get their 'free' escape.
Make sense?
Also - you sat on a what? XD

I agree.
It's been wonderful seeing a variety of perks again, and not just DH/IW/DS/SC
I do think DS needs to go back to 5 seconds (disabling it in the EOGC was enough) as currently this barely fulfills it's purpose and SC...SC was fine. I still see a lot of it, but it's now a noob trap.
Solo survivors do need...something too.

Nobody is a perfect player - and endgame DS was less a balance issue and more just a 'this feels really crappy to play against' thing. It's one thing to have to fight for a kill, and another thing to get that kill, and then instead get DSed and teabagged all the way to the exit.
I wasn't talking about endgame DS, I was talking about the anti camp / tunnel / basekit changes that were made.

They're plenty strong. That's why you still see people body blocking and going for flashlight/pallet saves, because their perks make them practically immune and don't deactivate from them doing those things. It's defensive perks being used offensively.
Honestly sounds more like you're not as good at killer as you think you are - which isn't an insult, playing killer effectively requires a lot of scheming and some people like to blame balance issues globally rather than looking at anything they could have done better throughout the game. These perks are not strong at all and playing killer is now easier than its ever been across most MMR ranges.

We said it would come in the future, we did not give an ETA for Steam Deck and we specifically said it would not be at launch. When we have an ETA for when this will be implemented we will be sure to communicate that, until then, there is no information I'm afraid.
Surely you guys understand though that like, while everyone acknowledges BHVR has made so many improvements lately in terms of community management and taking on feedback for major changes - The most frustrating thing for so many players is things being announced and then left with no explanations or elaboration at all down the line regardless of whether they seem trivial or complex to implement. I remember seeing the initial announcement of support and the pessimist in me thinking to myself "I bet a year from now if I look at ProtonDB this will still be borked".
So is there any elaboration at all we can get on if its being tested? Or what stage of implementation its at? Or if there is any technical reasons that implementation would take a while? - We're all happy to be patient, but sometimes the "why" is important.
