  • Anyone is free to DC if they want to, no one can be forced to play. However DCing in most cases ruins the experience for the other players (survivors as well as killers). I think that people should be just a little bit more conscious of that. If anyone had a hated map and they'd DC if they get in there the game would be totally unplayable. In most of the cases people DC just for personal opinions and that is understandable but I mean, you can't DC if you think Coldwind is ######### and you will get killed, if you play well you could escape and so on, just think about it for a second.

As I said, you can DC but you ruin the game for others. I like to play accordingly to what is considered fair, you don't have to but remember that if u DC cause ur a complaining ######### ass I will be upset. Me and the other 2 survivors and Killer.

Well from the killer's POV, they look down when they pick up a survivor, and then they look up and suddenly they're being blinded. At least, that's how I imagine it's supposed to be like. At least survivors have to time it properly. They can't blind early, because you'll just avoid the stun. Now does that make sense? Lightborn basically makes flashlight saves impossible, unless you have a god flashlight, so run that if you're having trouble.

Well his point was mainly "why can't I directly counter it" and not " how to avoid it" I think. In fact as I said i think it's a good mechanic: super hard to pull off, nearly impossibile to directly counter unless you mindgame / look at a wall / waste a perk slot

  • I guess this thread will go on fire, but before it burns, here's my opinion:

Flashlight saves are Ok. It's a fun mechanic. It super hard to pull off so if u succeed you are rewarded with the save, the killer can't do nothing. I get your point, "I would like to be able to counter it". If they would do that, the counter would be mega hard to pull off and the flashlight would be slightly easy to do so it's bettere at the current state. Or, the counter is not a difficult thing and the save remain pretty much the same to perform, the result being less saves, and I believe that the number of flashlight saves in game is extremely low. I like that mechanic even from a killer perspective, it brings new elements into a game that often has similar rounds one after another, it's something different.

(edit::, I am good at the game and I rarely can do a saves, it's an extremely good feeling if u can do that. It's meant to be like that. Like, if a guy can do it 90% of the times he's just extraordinary, like a survivor who can loop with 100% efficiency and lose the killer all the time or a killer who can always mindgame you and kill you. Those things just not happens frequently, they are the hard part and most of the players can't do them all the time.)

Here's the thing. It's counterable with mindgames, example faking a pickup and instantly moving and then faking it again, but picking the guy up after a 180 rotation, so that the other guy has to run around you to blind you. If you know he's in the right position and he could run and do the save regardless of your mindgames just go and smack him. I would not go in depth about every possible scenario, but that's what I think i guess.

    1. Dont use toolbox medkits or flashlights

    2. Dont wear any fancy stuff

    3. Dont genrush

    4. Dont loop

    5. Dont play p3 claudette

hahaha questionable points here, we are trying to give survivors tips to survive! Don't do gens and don't loop seems like an advice gave by a... KILLER MAIN haha ;)

  • A lot of good points up there. I think the most important thing for survivors is to be well aware of the circumstances of the match. A team of 4 survivor can perform well only if everyone understands the game settings in a particular moment.

To be specific, try to always have an idea of where your teammates are, what they can do and what you should do to help them. Try to not lose time what so ever.

There would be a million points to address but generally speaking the people up here already addressed a lot of things.

    ---anyway----------->

Don't choose a corner to be your house and spend the rest of the match there.

PLEASE don't self care in corners hahaha i swear i will heal you, usually pretty fast. Also a lot of people run healing builds so trust them. I mean, self care can be good but you know, don't waste an entire match self caring.

Don't bomb a hook with 2 other people and end up dying in front the hooked guy.

Don't loop a killer around a hooked guy/run there to find pallets. If you get downed in this scenario you are ######### my friend hahaha

Do the gens. Seriously, don't run around searching for ruin an entire match, do some gens and spend a reasonable amount of time to find the ruin, it's a lot more efficient compared to not doing gens at all.

Don't waste all the pallets without a reason.

Don't be super toxic hahah if a killer get mad and start camping/tunneling the game become a little unfun.

Trust your teammates. Not everyone, maybe don't trust a Nea cause she will kill you or a p3 claudette hahaha just joking, try to collaborate.

Don't take random hits to protect somebody if it's unsafe for you and him.

DO take a hit if it can save the day! But as i said, be careful.

    P l e a s e don't be salty 24/7 and don't insult people.

I'm bored now haha probably I missed some important stuff. Well, see you in game :---------------------------------)

  • some of these perks are good! A lot of interesting ideas

  • Well the point of my story was not about not having revenge cause I am still laugh thinking about that salty Feng who probably punched her pc after DCing, but you know, fire against fire is not a good thing and that guy is most likely doing the same thing now with another killer, which I hope will be capable of murdering the ** out of him and not being a rank 20 being bullied by a mediocre toxic player.

I always say "gg" in the post-game chat, no matter if I escaped, died, killed everyone, or killed no one. However, I rarely encounter trials where survivors are not toxic to the killer in the post-game chat.

yeah I mean, if no one acted like a complete ######### it's always good to leave a GG in there, it just makes things better. I am guilty of being a little bit salty from time to time (cause I am human being) with people that decided to be the most toxic they can be, but I just can't understand people that insults others for free.

  • Story time.

A couple days ago I had a Mori daily with the hag. While in the lobby i got 4 SWF and two survivor last second switched to bring two flashlights. I'm pretty confident with my Hag so I was not that scared. During the match a feng tried to bully me and flicked her flashlight at me so many times but she didn't play that good so i hooked her and then later downed her again. I'm usually a super mega friendly good guy [ :---------------------) ] while playing but this guy was so toxic I had to do something. I never did that before, but i spammed the mori animation on him and he DC'd in just a few seconds. No big deal. The other survivors ######### up so bad in the end game and I managed to kill them all. That toxic guy waited me in the post game chat and called me an idiot, he said I needed to git gud, I was bad at the game and continued to insult me.

Guys don't be toxic, respect other people, be friendly and don't take revenge on stupid toxic players like I did. ( but you know, try to let them understand)

  • I've never played on PC so i was not used to kb&m, when i bought a PC and started playing DBD I sticked to my controller and that worked just fine. I believe you can do well with a controller, no problems. The sensitivity is obviously lower than playing with kb and mouse but you can overcome that, you have to get used to it. I play rank 1 both survivor and killer, controller is totally fine.

  • White text over a white background is quite a problem, but apart from that i would love to see some quality of life changes like:
-Being able to see how many players are still in the chat (and when we'll have the dedicated servers we will be able to talk to survivors even if the killers exit the lobby, which is nice)
I was thinking about a second point but all i want is the first one :-)

  • I find it more difficult to see scratch marks now
