doctor with his ability to anti stealth if the survivors dont have the perk calm spirit, they can be found and down within a small amount of time, Trapper is a good killer to prevent survivors from throwing pallets or vaulting windows inside a chase without getting a little surprise in the progress, if you really didnt like swf or solos in the higher ranks, begin playing hillbilly with ruin, apply map pressure

i do use the doctor and trapper in both ways you mentioned and they are still effective.i also cant use my trapper right now because i just prestiged him.

  • btw the title is a discussion starter and is not (any more) accurate to what i think.

It's a hard game to balance. This isn't like Call of Duty where you're both walking around with guns and can both perform the same actions.

Killers can kill. Survivors can't do anything. So survivors are given pallets. Which means they're either completely safe or completely unsafe at any given time. If they drop pallets vaults windows they can't be hit. If they don't then they can't defend themselves.

Thus the only way to balance is to carefully maintain the right balance of pallets and vaults. You want the survivor to be able to dash from a gen to somewhere safe, but you don't want pallets placed so close that survivors can go from one to another to another to another and loop a killer completely around a map.

Some maps are ok. The survivor gets a few defences and then is forced out into the open.

Some maps have jungle gym next to jungle gym nsxt to killer shack next to pallet loops.

In terms of perks....indivually none of the survivor perks are OP, but when multiplied X 4 they become a problem. Therefore survivor perks should ideally be weaker than killer perks.

    Decisive Strike needs to go.

you have a fair point actually.pallets and windows are ok and some survivor perks are kind of unbalanced.

i think survivors are op.who else does and why.

I dont and i play killer and survivor evenly, yes swf and ds are a problem, but devs have been trying to even out the numbers with removing pallet vacuum allowing killers to swing straight through the pallet before being "smacked in the face"-mathiue cote 2018 Tokyo stream, with matchmaking having problems with swf and dodging killers (yes they still exist), but really, this shouldnt be complained about anymore than it needs to, if you want help about using killer then tell me, do you use low tier killers, mid tier killers or high tier killers?

Here i can help you if you dont understand this
Low tier (Nightmare, Wraith, Spirit) they have either nothing or not much to help within the chase with there ability
Mid tier (doctor, clown, trapper, hag, cannibal) They have either slightly or decent amount of help inside the chase with their ability
High tier(huntress, shape, nurse, hillbilly) They have either a extremely powerful ability inside the chase or there power is at its max within a chase

some of this info is incorrect because shape is hard to tell between if he is good inside the chase or not

    mid tier doctor and trapper

  • i think flash lights,ds and swf (as long as they are your friend) are fair but very annoying.my survivor play style isn't like most of who i play against so tackling the problem is quite hard.

Survivors are not op. SWF and communication is OP. Even worst when they bring DS, purple flashlights and unbreakable.

    true.

  • i was exaggerating about the being op but it isn't balanced.the biggest problem is me not being used to it.it only started happening on ps4 when the event started and i haven't came up with a good counter.i often find my self chasing one survivor all game without even hitting them and if i leave them i usually still loose the game.i end up tunneling and camping just to get a kill. also the map is usually bad for who im playing.

I get rank 1 both. Self care is a utility, it allows you to heal without a teammate. This means solo players have a chance. But it can’t be used to literally delay the killer in raw time. DS could save you, and let you kite the killer around for another minute, making them lose.

that is a point but ds usually get me after the last gen is complete.

fair enough. i think that lunges should have a bubble that sucks into a survivor to hit them making 360 and moves like that harder to pull off so killers stand a chance in a chase though.

If they are 360ing you shouldn't be lunging.

This sounds like more of a you problem instead of a "360s are op" problem.

Also, I find Survivors annoying and frustrating to play against but I don't think they are OP. The game is intended to make you feel that, in a way.

thanks fair point. but i can usually handle my self against 360s but similar tricks get me.ill follow your advice though.also i lunge of to the side and that helps sometimes

  • my highest rank is 11 killer

  • what do you mean ? peasant

  • but you only have one ds. self care can be used all game if im correct

  • i think ds is balanced but self care isn't.

  • i play the game on ps4 btw

  • thanks i forgot it meant swf

  • fair enough.also the bubble i was on about was only suppose to be small allowing some 360 to work but not all.

  • fair enough. i think that lunges should have a bubble that sucks into a survivor to hit them making 360 and moves like that harder to pull off so killers stand a chance in a chase though.

  • i have realized that i am not using this right .its a discussion not a message to the devs. to make this a discussion, who agrees/disagrees and why
