There are several maps as both survivor and killer, respectively, that I absolutely despise.
Do I like it when someone brings me there? No.
But again, that is what the sacrificial ward exists for.
And here is the reason why reworking or removing map offerings is a terrible idea:
The RNG for maps does not actually promote or provide significant map diversity. I have stated this several times that 90% of the time that I play a map offering it is because I’ve seen the same three or four maps repeatedly over the course of a gameplay session. Yes, they might be different iterations, but it’s the same aesthetic regardless. Seeing coldwind farm, autohaven, Macmillan’s and red forest becomes boring.
2v8 only exasperated this.
Feedback and suggestions are fine. It’s when you ‘suggest’ that something be taken away from everyone because you don’t like it, that it becomes a problem, especially when something already exists as a solution to the issue that you are having.
You might not like a certain book or a certain movie. That does not mean it needs to be taken away from everyone else that does enjoy it simply because you don’t like it. The solution here is to not read the book or not watch the movie.
In this case, the solution is to use the sacrificial ward, or if you’re that bothered, just DC on loading screen.
Maybe we can agree on an earlier comment about lowering their rarity then, or otherwise not consuming them when no map offering is actually brought?
I do agree with you that I seem to see some maps far too often. I'm guessing that's because those older maps each have several variations, whereas stuff like Nostromo or Toba Landing only have the one version each. Maybe they could also work on balancing that out some more.
I don't quite think the book / movie analogy works for this particular situation, though. This is more of a "hey instead of being forced to eat anchovy pizza all the time because that's what this one person likes, what if we all say one type we don't want and then get something we can all agree on?"

His pink addon-combo is fine, in fact, I'd actually say it should gain a buff, since these are the actions you can do to not get mori'd on the spot:
1. use selfcare, constantly miss skillchecks
2. do a totem, let go for a short second and do it again.
3. sit on a generator, constantly miss skillchecks
4. hide in a locker
5. use a map. Yes, just use it
6. use the key aura
7. open the hatch
8. heal a teammate
9. keep vaulting a pallet.
10. spam unhook a teammate, practically pauses the hook timer while also buying you a LOT of time
11. open a chest
12. pick up and drop an item, so if you run out of map charges, you're still fine.
I could also list a lot of specific perks that counter it, but its ridiculous. If he uses Judiths Tombstone, he's 9% slower already, you can basically infinitely loop him if you slow-vault certain windows. But he should gain the ability to mori downed survivors with that addon. Survivors literally have enough time to finish all gens, even with Dead Lock.
Tombstone piece deserves to be nerfed to the ground tho, I think it should give the ability to permanently turn him t3 and mori survivors during the endgame for free, while blocking the ability to go t3 during the generator time. That would legit be a lore accurate myers endgame.Yeah, the game I played yesterday with one where the Lara Croft refused to do anything but hide while I'd get chased for a bit, run into a locker when he got close, wiggle out, get chased again, jump into a locker, etc. was super fun.
Took about twenty minutes before he finally dropped me on the ground after I stopped wiggling and just pulled up YouTube to wait.
He came and tried to pick me up again before I bled out but thankfully I crawled far enough away that he found me right after.

You don't need to break every pallet. Learn which ones are "god pallets" and which you can play around - with bloodlust or juking survivors you can still get hits around most of the pallets on the map.
There are certainly quite a few maps that are survivor sided, but there are also some that give survivors basically no chance. Haddonfield, Borgo, Unknown's map, Rotten Fields... All of these barely have any pallets (very few of which are actually useful) or decent loops in them. In general I agree that map balance leaves a lot to be desired, though.
But also, don't get too into the mindset that the only way to win as killer is a 4k - and that you need to win every match. Two kills is basically a tie. Three is still a win. :)

It goes the same way for Maps. So instead of suggesting changing something because you as an individual, don’t like it, why don’t you try just working with what already exists to help you?
Why is there a mentality that “because I don’t like something it must go.” ?
Use sacrificial ward. If you run out of them, that is a personal problem, the game does not need to be changed around you.
Sorry, I kind of figured the point of a "feedback and suggestions" forum to be for... Y'know, feedback and suggestions. You're welcome to disagree and give actual rebuttals but just saying "because you don't like something you think it needs to go" kind of defeats the entire purpose of this forum, y'know?
According to one of the previous commenters apparently this is a pretty common thread anyway, so doesn't sound like I'm the only one who thinks they could use a rework.
Back to the discussion at hand... Survivors only need one person out of four to bring a map offering, so it's much easier for one side to control the game. Map offerings are also more prevalent in high elos, and it's a problem how much they can skew things when survivors are already pretty strong at that level of play. This suggestion is an attempt to mitigate that, still give players some semblance of control over what maps they play, and do away with a lot of the negativity and toxicity that stems from one side bringing the other to a map that benefits them.

You do realize that sacrificial ward is a thing, right?
Sure, and I actively use them when going up against expected SWFs…But just like I said before, there are so many rare offerings in the game the number of these that show up in the blood web is fairly limited and you're going to run out quickly.

This idea gets suggested so much it's never going to work. The opposite would happen where killers would just play Gideon or Badham and never have to see those maps as long as they have the offerings for it.
There are so many rare offerings I usually only have a handful for each map. You're going to run out quickly if you're spamming the same one.
But just like you said … you have to pick one or the other, you can't block every survivor-sided map from showing up. If you block Badham you might still get sent to Garden of Joy or Eyrie of Crows.
It just adds back some randomness so it's not automatically just favoring one side or the other.

I'm still just flabbergasted that we're thinking of changing the symptom and not the cause.
The only reason Distortion is even seen as good is because of most killers' over reliance on aura reading to play the game for them. It's just like how I dislike survivors' over reliance on Windows of Opportunity as a crutch perk because they don't want to learn the map or pay attention to what pallets have and haven't been thrown in a match.
Like I dunno, maybe it's just me but when I play killer the only aura reading things I use are killer add-ons. I rely on map knowledge, audio cues, and a general awareness of how survivors think in order to find people.

I just hope whatever they do to him, they change his insta-mori and tweak the related achievement. Playing against him is already incredibly un-interactive as is without needing to worry about being instantly removed from the game because your teammates let him stalk for free.
-
Bots are definitely gods with flashlights. Try practicing Nurse - they'll blind you instantly while you're charging your blink lol
-
Distortion isn't even in the top ten most used Survivor perks. Aura reading is already ridiculously strong on a lot of killers, we don't need its only major counter being nerfed.
Nerf aura reading on killers so it's not used as such a major crutch by so many people and then we can talk about nerfing Distortion.

Babysitter just got a huge buff and will massively help out someone being tunneled.
The hook durations were also just increased. It's okay to leave someone on hook for a bit.
If a killer is proxy camping, rush gens. Otherwise, don't unhook right away ...Wait for the killer to be in another chase or otherwise wait to unhook until you know they're not nearby.
Stop healing under hook as well. Take the couple of seconds to move away behind an obstacle.

Latest designs and powers have basically been copies of other killers. Dracula is the most egregious offender, as the fire is exactly the same as Executioner's ability and the wolf pounce is basically the same as the Demogorgon's ability. There's gonna be some overlap at this point, sure, but it's getting pretty bad.
-
The power is literally Executioner's Punishment of the Damned, but silent. Wolf's power is literally Demogorgon's Shred, but silent. They just recycled other killer powers and made them harder to dodge.
