Ok, theres plenty fo invitations for everyone and they are mighty obvious
The mode was the problem, thanks.
-
Well, distortions feels stronger now because with the gen regression nerfs, i suppose lots of killers are moving to aura reading.
-
Blight have much better repositioning and can make chases billy cant dream of.
But billy is definitely better in the open.
I honestly believe its very mad dependant.
I think billy is better in some maps, and blight is better in others.
-
Its true, i was playing in the wrong mode, i will try the correct one this evening.

Happy anniversary everyone.

ITs still a good perk, but no longer a must perl. Now its an alternative to eruption. Twice as powerful but targeting a single generator.

Thanks. I dont have myers, but i will try ghostface with NOED

Its good. I combine it with nowhere to hide and it works pretty well.

Thank you all for your answers!
Curiosity satisfied.
I honestly think that making all survivors spawn in the same point benefit the killer more than the survivors, just like i think the killer offering to make survivors start separatedly benefits survivors, but ok.

being omnipotent is being really or all powerful, you can be omnipotent and need sustainance . Also the entity, as mentioned in the lore entries, has destroyed entire worlds outside of his realm, this happened in terra dark where he destroyed and took a world by plaguing it with giant monster spiders. As I said in my other post, I recommend watching Pixel Bush video about as he can explain it better than I do and he's a huge DND nerd. Vecna cannot be compare to the Entity as the Entity is the equivalent of Ao, the maximum deity and the creator of the universe of DND. It's the best comparison we can do since it is the most similar thing to the entity and in the DND world Vecna has nothing to do against it. Adding to the fact, Ao, if Im not mistaken, isnt a multiversal being like the Entity, it only has power over his own universe, while the Entity can have control over entire realities because it is out of time and space.
Not at all. Ao would erase the entity from existence with a blink.
The entity is yet another lovecraftian horror, and, i repeat it again, Vecna have no problem restraining the entity until vecta decided to willignly let it take him.
Full stop. This is completely canon, and no theories from anyone can go against it.
-
Its still worth it.
Lethal pursuer increase all aura readings by 2 seconds, on top of getting you in a chase in the first 20 seconds of the game, so it pairs wonderfully too.
-
Thank you all!

@edgargarciabe660 said:
You can find a lot of lore obviously in the tomes, where you can read the entries. The bad thing is that if you dont complete the challenges you wont get the memories (entries), so I suggest you go to DBDInfo which is a website that has all the lore registered just as it is in the tomes, even sometimes leaked tomes. If you want something more light and less text I'd recommend a youtuber called Pixel Bush which talks about the lore of all the characters in the game, even some of them that arent even playable and does his own analogies of their lores.
Thank you!
-
Thanks.
I guess i will prestige artist then.
Do you recommend me prestige people to level 3 to ahve the insta tier 3 perks, or one is fine and climb from there with other characters?

Vecna cannot be compared to the entity. The Entity is a multiversal omnipotent deity out of time and space that can do whatever it wants literally, while Vecna, while being probably the strongest killer lore-wise, is just lich hungry for power at the level of a demigod. Even in his lore Vecna says that he had never seen an evil as great as the entity. If you dont believe me, then I recommend watching Pixel Bush's video about him explaining how he chewed more than he could swallow, since he is a huge DND nerd and does a really good analogy and powerscaling of him and The Entity. The mark of negation is only to nerf him DURING TRIALS, as the Entity feeds of emotions and possibly want the trials to be as long and exciting as they can be to have more food. Otherwise, Vecna still has nothing to do against the entity, once youre inside his realm, its all lost for you and youre just his puppet, no matter who you are.
Most gods are omnipotent within their realms, but the entity have shown so sign of being even remotely as powerful outside of it, since even the process of snatching away a normal human takes some time and in plenty of cases could have been avoided by a human with previous knowledge.
Nor it its omnipotent if it needs feeding to survive.
Vecna is a full god. Not in the christian sense but in the greek or nordic sense of gods.
Vecna held the entity at bay with little effort until he willingly allowed the entity to take it.
This is completely canon.

Getting a stun on a good Spirit player is very satisfying. Getting downed on the other side of a dropped pallet that should've offered protection value is just annoying.
Greeding a stun on some killers is a good investment. Greeding pallets against certain killers is dumb.
Adapt your playstyle to the killer you are facing.
-
I think its pure M1 killers the one that have far too much troubel with pallets. If you play in pallet city (the meat plant) a survivor can easily take a path with 5 pallets on them and make you chase for a gen and a half pretty much by holding W and throwing pallets, and pure M1 killers like ghostface or trapper to say 2, have to break pallet after pallet after pallet while the W holder sit safe at a distance.
The exact same resource (pallets) is considerably stronger against some killers or weaker against others, so in some maps it feels unfair as the killer, and in others it feels unfair as the survivor.
-
I played my first pig game ever and i got a 4k at 4 gens, so pretty good as a first impression. Ambush have A LOT of reach.

I mean, I am a hug SAW fan and a Pig main, but so I may be biased, but yes. She's so fun, especially as you can play her serious for kills, or you can play just casual and go for "boops." Like, it someone walks up to you crouching when you are crouching and points at your nose, consider letting them at least have hatch. Can be only the first to boop, or can be everyone that boops. Up to you. Heh.
Also, she is getting a gorgeous full Twisted Masquerade outfit next month, complete with a Golden Pig Mask. I will say, if you want a licensed main whose licenseholder loves to work with video games, you can't go wrong with Lionsgate and The Pig. Heck, Tome 10 was even an entire Tome and Rift dedicated to Amanda! Thanks

Okay, so simple. Here is my screen. Click the badge itself, which would be the black border square.

Then on the left are three tabs, click the second one and you see your badges, select which one you want to use and be sure to hit EQUIP in the bottom right.https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KZX82TNVI7ST/image.png
Then click the next one down and you have your banners, again select the one you want, then be sure to hit "EQUIP"

It doesn’t ruin a match if a group of Survivors who are bad go against a backfill Killer way out of their league? It doesn’t ruin the match for the backfill baby Killer who’s getting bullied because experienced Killers didn’t want to deal with flashlights/toolboxes? Killers who lobby dodge can ruin matches for five other people before they even begin.
As i already said in a previous thread, i dont think backfill should skip MMR.
But thats not really a players fault. Especially not a 20 hour killer who doesnt want to fight presiges 80+.
Thats the fault of the guy who thought matching people with 2k hours in the game and people with 20 was a good idea.

And that's fair enough! But in my experience, the types of groups that all bring in flashlights are also built to grief even in the event that a Killer comes in with both Lightborn and Franklin's. Nah, I'll move on, there's more where they came from.
Im a simple man. If theres 3 or 4 flashlights, i inmediately bring lightborn
Thats not a dodge for me.
-
I too like nemesis more, but i think its due to the lower skill needed to play it properly.
-
I think comparing a lobby dodge that means 20-30 seconds of additional search with ruining a match of 7-8 minutes a bit misleading at best…… or deceitful at worst.
-
BTW, how many posts do i need to become a "real" member and not an unconfirmed one?
-
I would love to have a decent neft in all gen regression perks in exchange for longer gen times as basekits and/or better gen regression in the basekit.
Generators fly.
As killer, i feel forced to start chases and be ruthless from the very beginning, least i find myself with 2 generators left on my second hook if i try to play in a relaxed way.

I think you did not understand what JPLongstreet meant.
Because someone else decided to dodge the Lobby, you got into this situation in the first place. You would not need to dodge Lobbies in which you dont belong into if others, who would belong into those Lobbies, would not dodge them before you.
I get it perfectly, but im fully confident that people would still do it even with DC penalties, as survivors clearly prove (it would be less frequent, i will give you that).
And i dont want to get a penalty just because a prestige 87 killer decided to get one.
I understood it from minute one.

It's that dodging that causes the backfills though!
Cool, but i wont get stuck as a prestige 1 killer with 25 hours against a survivor team with 340 prestige in total. If thats the price to pay, so be it.

Well, maybe and maybe not. Those 'baby survivors' aren't always such babies.. A good bit of the time, in my experience, it turns out that that p1 Mikaela was just taking a break from their p100 flashlight-slinging Claudette :)
But it does allow the Killer to take at least some measure to avoid potential abuse. For instance, if I see more than two flashlights, that group can wait for some other chump to ready up.
If i see more than two flashlights, i pick lightborn.

@WolfyWood said:
Why is it that survivors giving up on hook is such a hot issue right now (has been for awhile) and yet I don't see the same energy for killers cherry picking lobbies?
I feel as though the rhetoric used to denounce going next could be easily applied to profile inspecting and lobby dodging and yet I feel as though there's not as much buzz.
How come?
I'd assume it's because the negatives aren't as apparent as someone going next in the middle of a match but I'd argue it's equally as damaging.
I also believe that if survivors should lose the ability to die intentionally on hook then killers should lose the ability to inspect profiles and leave lobbies without eating a DC penalty. And before anyone says Us Vs Them keep in mind this change would apply to survivors too.
This to me would be a fair implementation of 'playing the match you queued for."
As someone who got matched against a prestige 100 when i had less than 10 hours of gameplay, and against 2 80+ prestige survivors, one 75+ prestige survivor and one 40+ prestige survivor when i had less than 15 hours……. no. I didnt even had a single prestiged character by that point
Until the matchmaking is properly fixed and dont backfill horribly, dodging some lobbies is a must.
Full stop.
-
You can get some entertainment from variwety fo characters if you are willing to spend 20-40 extra bucks, but if you get only the bare bones, you are definitely quite limited.
Still a great game tho.
-
Adding a way to fight back and slowing the killers would mandatorily have to go hand in hand with slowing down gens, because if survivors can slow down the killer even further, but killer cannot slow the survivors back, the survivors would stomp.

@Strodie said:

Nope. In fact, my change is healthy for the game, and will fix the tunneling issue.
If you nerf tunneling (bodyblocks counts as tunneling for that perk btw), you also need to nerf gen speed, or you will totally break the balance of the game.
What gen regression perk would you buff to a similar amount to compensate?
Pain hooks at 12 charges? 10 minutes corrupt intervention? 60% pop goes the weasel?
Because if you "solve tunneling" then you need to solve the main problem of the other side too.
I will be waiting for your answer.

Well, im far from being an expert, but heres my two cents.
Being a killer is playing a time management simulator. Time is on the essence, waste a little bit and generators fly.
If on top of having to chase a survivor for 20-30 seconds to hook them, you will have to fight them for another extra 30 seconds till you "beat" them and can hook them, most games would have 3-4 gens completed by the time you get a hook.
then two survivors come to the rescue. One fight you off for a few secodns while the other unhook.
Victory would be impossible.
Time is strict and tight as it is as a killer, you simple cannot put another time sink for the killers without slowing gens significantly. Its just not viable.
-
Discounting vecta for being extremely unreliable, i would send the most powerful for sure (pinhead, pyramid head and onryo)
For the other 3 spots i would pick knight and nemesis (unwavering loyalty) The last one i will go with nurse to cover mobility, but plenty would do.

It's probably really hard to be good and consistent with her, if you don't know all maps layout.
Firstly, really glad to read, that you try to use her power as real power and not only as trap on a pallets, so it's already good start.
It's pretty much same logic to swarm and injure with birds, you place them in a way where you think survivor will run to / you force him run to and if they dodge too much, you win distance or probably shut down the loop or even got a free hit because of it.
Some tips:
1. Don't use more than 1 bird to swarm survivor, otherwise you won't get a second hit because of cooldown.
2. Sometimes you can place birds behind the obstacles, so survivors won't know where to dodge it.
3. Patience is the key. When you start to get really good survivors, they will fake a lot to make you release the birds. Make sure you don't commit on this.
4. You need to understand where and how to use your power. Sometimes it's better to shut down loop, sometimes it's better to swarm and injure survivor,. Sometimes it's better to not use it at all, but it's pretty rare and case only on some really stupid maps, where pallet near pallet near pallet near pallet near window near pallet near pallet.
5. Don't put bird if you already see that survivor leave the loop. And fake your m2 with such survivors.
6. You need to understand where it's better to let go birds you already know won't be used in chase or just let them disappear. Mostly depends on how many birds you already placed and how long until they will disappear.
7. Sometimes it's usefull to use your birds to get info in chase and change target or just win some time, but don't overcommit on that. Just remember that your birds are also good info.
You can watch S4ninha (has the biggest amount of downs with Dire Crows) and Carniveris (in top-10) on twitch to understand better birds placement. Hope you will enjoy Artist as much as i do <3 Welcome into Bird Lady fun club!Thank you! What a comprehensive answer!
