    I didn't think it was fair for me to hold back at my own discretion, or for the blame to be put on Killers. That's why I stopped and returned to playing normally.

    Now, I just reply to salty messages and tell them: "The devs remove generators to balance the matches that start with less than 4 Survivors. If you're not happy with that balance then that's between you and the devs. Leave me out of it."

    Of course it is not and never was your fault. The problem only is, that even with less generators, the game is not balanced anymore.

    You will almost never get any progress. Though you can get the hatch unlocked with really skilled survs against a new/unskilled killer sometimes, but the killer has got the advantage most of the time.

    If it didn't work like that, how are the number of generators readjusted depending on how many survivors actually spawned. Instead of readjusting the generators, it can be changed to return the main menu. 

    Would be the best solution, I think. Just send them back to the main menu or as mentioned earlier back to the killer lobby to start looking for a fourth guy - again.
