  • The worst part is that if it happens to you as survivor in a chase it makes you turn to face the killer like a hag trap causing you to run into them half the time.

  • because one or two streamers said they like it, so clealy that means its good

  • Yeah I'm pretty tired of people who aren't very good at looping just getting tunneled and not wasting enough time to punish the killer, if I give you BT, take hits and all of that and you still go down in like 15 seconds you may want to start running it just for your team at that point.

  • I'm a rank 15 ps4 killer atm from taking a long break and I just got a 4 man swf on pc that were all rank 1. what a game we play aint it?

What the hell are you survivor mains talking about? It gives you a free health state for doing what you are already doing. Why should you get another chance for that? The perk is beyond broken and needs to change. Yeah sometimes it will do nothing, but many times it screws a killer out of a deserved kill. 2nd chance perks serve no purpose in this game and need to be deleted.

    ah there it is

  • probably because it looks cool and fits the charcter tbh

There are 24 official languages in Europe and two server locations (London and Frankfurt). Although there's probably a lot of shared languages, there's still absolutely a chance that the people you're playing with do not speak the same language as you. The same would go in other places as well. The NA East server might get people speaking French from Quebec, English from America, and Spanish from Mexico.

In any case, even if everyone does speak the same language, you can't be guaranteed that everyone will have a mic. Ideally you'd be able to disable voice chat as well if you wish, and I'd definitely be one of the people who turns it off.

Have you guys thought of a pinging system similer to apex or something? Possibly pre-made chat options like smite? That would bypass the language barrier and allow the game to be balanced around SWF.

  • From my experience I'd disagree. I find that I see more toxicity from survivors ontop of less kind comments. I see killers being kind more often then I see survivors at the same time seeing them not be as toxic.

But in all honestly I dont know why we need to chop up who is mean to which people like to play more, if you are a mean survivor you are probably a toxic killer. and vice versa

The reason I see more toxicity from survivors is probably because there are more of them, for every 4 survs you see 1 killer.

  • This is the reasons perks exist, bring unbreakable and you have the potential to waste a ton of the killers time.

  • I find games in like 30 seconds, other then that living the ps4 struggle

  • Not a trapper player (yet) but this doesn't fit his character does it?

  • Ghostface can also counter borrowed time, in a few ways.

  • Slugging is in the game so the killer can provide map pressure by not hooking, which is amazing for them at high level play. If you don't like slugging as a killer then don't, you don't have to. If you are a survivor then bring unbreakable! There, slugging for a 4k has been solved! :)

  • I suppose you are correct, I spent a while trying to tell if the loss was from coming in and out of chases and the game not initiating chases since it didn't consider you aware of him but upon further research I found that it isn't effect by being in a chase or not (to confirm what you said), mainly just the terror radius.

I don't know if this is developer oversight or intended but I will agree, that is pretty dumb. On the other hand, I will say that it does kinda make sense as to why it dosen't directly apply to ghost face. I'd imagine the loigic behind it is that if you can see him, you would just break him out of it and give him the terror radius back. Him "stalking" (the act of stealthaly following not holding m2 to expose.) is probably intended, he stalks you and waits for you to mend, if not you bleed out. He takes advantage of you being in a bad spot with his terror radius reduction. The main idea behind his power overall. In my book i'd put that in counterplay.

  • I think he's really fun to play as and against but I really would wish he was more consistent.

I just tested it. Appearently, if you have deep wound effect, you re being chased by a ghostface and he enters in stealth mode, it doesnt count it and the bar is still going down. The chase music will still be there, the chase will still occur, but the game says that there is no terror radius cuz he has the stealth mode active and decreases your bar. it s not that big of a game knowledge, it s just that you can be in a chase and enter into stealth mode and hide from the survivors in a way he cant get you out of it and decrease his deep wound bar. I ve recorder all the experiment but i cant post it here as it s bigger than 50MB

Scrrenshot your videos, I don't think so. I have never seen this happen in all my days of playing ghostface.

  • List would have been more informative or enjoyable if they all weren't just

we re talking about survivors being in deep wound effect and ghostface using it against them unfairly imo. The title is "Ghostface is unbalanced" for the simple fact that he can use his stealth ability too fricking easy to make you bleed out of deep wound.

Actually not really, breaking out of a chase and staying ontop of someone can be really hard, an example would be PWYF. You find your obsession and chase then unchase, usualy by runnign away. You need to do the same thing but without running away by breaking line of sight for such an extended period of time that the game considers the survivor losing the ghost face. If he follows you for a bit and he is in your line of sight it will count as a chase. If he is usuing his power and you can't see him, it's probably not a chase.

Overall this isn't a rampent problem, I play survivor alot and always use BT and I have never seen this happen. Ever. I main spirit and ghostface and have never been able to pull this off, even when I try. Right now it just looks like he outplayed you with game knowledge, and it worked. It's not like awnyone can pick up ghostface and immediately do it. And it's not even like he has to do with anything deep wounds related, that's just the way that deep wounds works.

Does the game count ghostface being in the stealth ability and in a chase? i dont remember being like this. Right after he went into stealth mode, my bar started to go down during the chase...

So, when you enter stealth you can still be in a chase, but what I imagine happened here was you said he was crouching around the cover so you couldn't see him? That was him trying to break line of sight so it wouldn't count as a chase, but of course when you leave he'd follow you and try to hit you.

It's similer to the OG legion chasing backwards kinda thing but it's not an exploit, it's intended. (At least I think it is.)

  • Double post :)

  • Or, you can just do all the totems by yourself. Run small game or something if you can't find them.

If the killer chooses to go camp his life away then just do gens or totems while he sits there and waits. And you'll get payed with your survival and he will suffer, with out a doubt. Whenever I play solo I just go and do totems and I manage to do them all most of the time, I pip and escape most of the time. It's really not that hard.

Noed has counterplay and isn't an issue if you just respect it and cleanse the totems. Noed does its job if you let it, and it does it well.

  • @artist said:

situations like yours make me question why the mending pause isn't based on how close you are to the killer and not the terror radius. same with borrowed

I'm actualy pretty sure that it works on being in a chase as well, if you are in a chase or are in their terror radius it doesn't count down. The reason why this whole thing happened is that ghost face can remove his terror radious and he was hiding from the survivor so it didn't count as a chase.

In the post i meant that the situation i was in makes the survivor lose hope for hatch or escaping, like, what do you have to and run from the killer if you ll die lol. You run from killers not to die, it comes from itself lmao. Dont get me as one who only wants to survive, dont get me wrong it s simple as it. Also I didnt say borrowed gives you 100% freedom, it s just that it s unfun to play like that. In terms of changes, i ought for some change on deep wounds just bcs of these kind of things.

Yeah, I get where you are coming from. But what I am mainly trying say here is that regardless of what happened I am pretty sure you were going to die, you guys got caught fair and square, I don't see what the developers are supposed to change to make this situation not occure, you know what I mean? If you got borrowed time since he hit you, and he got your bud then you are basically screwed if he finds you already. He was able to identify that you can't run away or you'll die and that he can abuse the fact that he is a stealth killer to get the borrowed time to kill you I think he deserves the kill.

I can't see a change that could occure to borrowed time or a change to ghost face that would allow you to somehow to escape that isn't borderline broken or overpowered.

Look at it from the killers perspective. You get unhooked and he tries to farm you, didn't work. He hunts down your friend and kills him. then finds you, dieing to borrowed time. Unless the hatch spawns right ontop of you why wouldn't he deserve the kill?

  • It seems like you got killed in a very big brain strategy. I'd say ghostface is one of the most balanced killers in the game, this one instance dosn't change make him unfair. This little combo against borrowed time is a flaw in the perk, not a ghostface issue.

Maybe if this issue was rampent and everybody was noticing that it didn't work against ghostface 100% of the time i'd be on your side, but this seems pretty specific.

And I mean.. unhooks aren't free, borrowed time isn't supposed to be a guaranteed way to get away from the killer every time. If they weren't using borrowed time you would have just gone down sooner outright.

And I don't really see what you are asking for, a borrowed time buff? A ghostface nerf? Either of those seem far fetched.

I read this and immediately imagined them replacing the chase music with "Never gonna give you up"

I am going to throw a tantrum if that isn't there on April 1st.

  • Yeah, I couldn't find a match for an hour or two today. It was pretty bad.

  • Not trying to get into this, but I just want to say I disagree.

I'ma just sit back and enjoy this one

  • And even as a horror game having deafningly loud music is almost counter intuitive to the point of it being a horror game, since once that music starts playing it isn't scary, since you loose the ability to sense the small details about the game, something that I thought was great.

Seems kinda like they wanted to meme on the sound development team and just add this so nobody could hear them footsteps they worked hard on.

  • I have seen alot of bad ideas on these forums, this happens to be one of them.

    Never.

  • @Mister_xD

What I am meaning to say here is that today feels off, I am getting some really long games on both killer and survivor, as killer with almost all detection perks I am struggling to find people and gens aren't getting done. An hour so ago I had a 35 minute match which only ended because I left. Two gens were done through the whole game, I caught one person hiding in a locker and they died because nobody came to save them.

So far I'v just had a few games of just survs walking around, then when they hear the heartbeat they just hide, really strange to see.

I don't think they are doing it on purpose either, they are running normal meta builds and everything, they are just taking forever to do anything. And it's been happening alot today.

Side note: Sorry if the response was a little aggresive, I thought you were coming at me from the "Look at this killer getting mad since he can't find people" angle.

  • I'd say the game has a weird bit of balance going on right now, mainly tied to killer selection. High teir killer are fair/op depending on skill. Low tier killers are too weak/fine and mid-teirs can feel weak at times but are otherwise fair.

I just think that the game needs something else other then chasing to balance around.

    Overall. Rather balanced

  • @not_Queef said:

    Nothing wrong with being immersed.

Survivors don't have to follow killers' made-up rules.

You need to relax, I'm not attacking anyone. This is the forums, a place where I can talk about my experiences of the game. The people commenting are the only people who want to make this into a killer vs survivor thing like yourself.

Just saying that 20-30 minute games are annoying when survivors stop doing generators at all just to drag the game on.

Get your paranoia out of here.

  • @Frosty said:

    Noobs?

Playing at rank 8, against other purples and reds. I'd doubt it. Their builds look meta as well, nothing hyper immersive either.

  • Honestly.. I think that the randomness adds a bit of uncertanty, a little bit of fear to the game. After all this is a horror game.

  • This honestly sounds sick as heck, I'd love to see this added, let both sides bring offerings that can effect the map pool and ot would be awsome!

  • @Yamaoka Said it all

  • I don't really have an issue with keys, never seen them work on me before. But moris are a bit of a problem, I am a firm believer of them only applying to people when they are DOH for extra BP and style points. But allow tombstone to remain, I think it's a cool playstyle.

  • I think she is just awsome all around, fun to play as and play against.

  • I really don't see why this wasn't implemented already. This would 100% make the game better for alot of people.

  • I mean if they are hurting themselfs to be toxic I'll use it against them but otherwise I just ignore it, all that sort of stuff is childish.

  • People are just salty, alot of people DC for pretty weird reasons. Killers DCing cause they missed a mindgame on me, survivors DCing because they got unhooked at a decently bad time... The list goes on.

I just wished everyone would chill out.

Please, I have 4k'd against some of the "best" SWF stacks in the game. Monto's squads, the "depip squad", and many other full rank 1 lobbies with multiple streamers in them.

The "depip squad" was the most satisfying of them all because they actually disconnected against me, which I found hilarious. Tombstone myers will do that though.

When I see SWF is when I break out the mori's, tombstones, beads spirit, etc etc. It's a different game but I can assure you that camping is still an integral part of it.

In fact my favorite tactic years ago used to be just facecamping hooks with wraith an a mori, the second they get unhooked bam mori. Not BT procs, no DS procs, and with a good angle they can't bodyblock your hit at all. Just instant death. Try it sometime.

Ghostface does exactly the same thing, and it works against any SWF group almost just as well unless they are all running object of obsession.

There are a large hunk of things here that make little to no sense. Proof would be pretty nice though, a video or something would be great so you can show off your legendary camping strategys. Possibly show off your build and stuff and explain how you are doing so well or something since words are pretty useless.

Note: Not siding here, I could care less if people camp. This just seems a little "My dad works at microsoft" like to sound true.

    .

  • Legion is the definition of a bad killer. The power is counter productive.

  • @Locker_Dwight said it all. If you punish them then they wont do it. If they refuse to leave

    MAKE THEM LEAVE.

If you have the other three people alive in the trial (assuming you are in the beginning of the trial.) just go do gens and you will outright win the game and escape, this forces the killer to leave the person on hook and go create map pressure or they outright

    l o s e

We all know it's not fun to be camped or tunneled, we all know it's not fun for you but that's just what happens if you face a killer who chooses to camp over doing other things. The reason people camp and that sort of things is because people are allowing it to work and they are not punishing it. There are plenty of examples of this happening in many other games, one that I can think of is CS_GO. If they enemy team dosn't chose to buy helmets you simple buy your sides AR and shoot them in the face. Bam. It's done. They will then start to buy helmets, and now it's not an issue because people know that their strat has flaws and dosn't work in all situations. Now people no longer camp and it's not an issue! Woo! We solved the problem without breaking the whole game!

  • Windows are not safe, they are not portals that close once you go through them.

That's why pallets are considerably safer.

  • @Mifian said:

Yeah, my first thought would be a wendigo, or maybe someone who can shapeshift and disguise themselves as other survivors in order to get close, that would be very cool.

Also gimme a medieval knight-skeleton-killer or something really stupid and out there and I'll play him every day.

I though that this would have been a very interesting power for legion, but then I realized what the power actually was. I would love this tbh.

I imagine they would play out like the spy in TF2, making you doubt all your teamates.

  • Nerf Freddy thread confirmed!!

    (meme)

  • I love the concept of Legion but I just can't make it work. Fun to play, bad for winning. Other then that ghost face is really fun when you don't just get hard-counted by spine chill.
