  • No, bad, stop, just stop.

Stop with the "anti", stop with the "content creators say so", stop with the added mechanics to """"reward"""" killers.

It's continuously being sickening seeing killers getting punched down because the game isn't a couch co-op vs a braindead AI killer. They have tried these major changes twice now, some of them three times now, and nobody genuinely believes it's all fantastic additions. They will not get it right no matter how much they tweak or change these "anti" things because at its foundation it is flat out factually wrong and harmful to the game itself.

    Find a different answer.

  • As a Trickster main, and enjoyer of such killers who lack love such as Onryo and Skull Merchant:

I am sick of an environment where everyone looks at singular issues happening, and say it isn't a big deal.
-Anti slug bothering me? Just don't slug, great solution!
-Anti camp being a bother? Alright, I won't camp.
-Loops being a problem? Learn looping better, understandable.
-Gens going too fast? There are perks for that, so I guess that's ok.
-Body blocking survivors? Just hit the survivor and move on or change chase, yeah that's fair.

Now let's put these together in a common scenario, about every 3/5 games or more.

I find a survivor and chase the survivor. There are plenty of perks the survivors get to move faster than me for majority of the chase along with pallet density. That alone makes me chase 1 survivor long enough for 2, 3, very very rarely 4 gens to get done, but very often 2 to 3. I can end chases early as Trickster with my knives this is true, but only if I can land the knives, that's a 50/50 based off map and survivor knowledge. So I finally down the 1 survivor after 2 to 3 gens are done, no gens near me being worked on so I can't just kick one, but that isn't the problem. The problem is there is more often than not a survivor right around the corner. Flash stun, pallet stun, flashbang, everything they can do. Body block to hook, literally so much to factor in just to get a survivor to the hook to hook them the first time. Now, the game is half done, I need to find another survivor to chase and can't camp (I don't anyways except "proxy camp" which that's not even true because I often am within 20 meters, even 15 meters, before someone gets unhooked). Now if I find that survivor again (which would already be tunneling), I have to chase him for another 2 to 3 gens time span assuming he's fully healed (probably will be) to even get a second hook.

That's even speaking very, very, VERY broadly not even taking apart individual survivor perks that make this even more unreasonable for me. I don't WANT to play nurse, i don't WANT to play blight, so i WON'T play them, and I will instead simply stop, because I play to enjoy the character I enjoy and not to sweat over and over and over again. The other 2/5 games I play I still have to play overzealous and it shoots my nerves into being in physical pain like I'm playing a fighting game and trying to do hard inputs too much.

I've said it before, I will continue to say it: One of the biggest fixes we can get as killers is have a base kit additional aura, let's call it "menace" aura or something I don't know. Make it 2 to 5 meters, make it so if 2 or more survivors are within your menace aura, survivors within your menace aura gain exposed, THAT would be a solution to body blocking. You want to run into my face and pile on me so much that all 3 other survivors are locking me in place so 1 can get away? You get punished for running your face into THE KILLER, the POWER ROLE.

  • It's a time sink no matter what, it's a slow down no matter what, people literally do not factor how much time adds up, how fast gens go, everything. It's the over all gameplay, everything tied into one, stop looking at single situations and look at the whole.

You would think endurance was some sort of Mario super star. Just. Hit. Them. Poof - no more endurance. If they continue to body block then congratulations, you can put them right back on hook because there are no penalties to tunneling. If they run off then also congratulations, they're in deep wound and no longer your problem. Feel free to continue after whoever you were after in the first place.

You act like during all this time, 3 gens aren't being completed while I'm locked chasing the same guy who has others body block for them, i slow down hitting the person blocking… like, the game flow turns into "congratulations, you've hooked someone twice, and now the exit gates are open and the other 3 rush down the hook and body block so you don't even get a single kill!"

  • This is also the second round of this change they very obviously want to force down peoples throats. If we don't get an "anti bully" update that's a bunch of killer buffs like tokens building up until you flat out resist flash stuns, or strong hindered effects, or ways to put exposed on people who body block, then it's just going to continue to be more and more piled on garbage against the killer, and I don't play the "top tier" killers, don't want to, i want to be able to enjoy the game and I am just not because of the struggle.

As predicted, no matter if the changes actually hurt tunneling/camping, the mere idea that they could would be enough to set people off.

I have good news for you, barring the weird interaction with Wicked which will not make it off the PTB, you can still camp and tunnel just fine. Turns out, proxy camping is still good, and making a Killer back up an extra couple meters doesn't really do anything.

Likewise, all those protections are nice, if the Killer has no eyes or isn't tunneling. The best counter to the changes is to simply hit off of hook and ignore it. Why wouldn't you? There's no downside to doing it, nor is there an upside to not tunneling.

If it wasn't such a struggle to get even a single kill as any killer that doesn't have some mobility quirk.. the game was already absurdly overbearing, now it's literally going to be 30 seconds of someone body blocking or baiting until gens go flying.

We need something like exposed to survivors within 5 meters of you if they're in that 5 meters for over 10 seconds, or much stronger hindered effects, something

You sound more like 300 player having issue but the game isnt that bad for survivor if your team isnt bad and sticks to gens whey they can and you loop well which is now super easy because every 10 meters there is another pallet or window if your teammates didnt throw them out.

Sounds more like you want to bring 2017 DBD for killer but keep current buffs for survivors which is absurd but your opinion.

I'm trying to say the game is awful for killer? What even is a "300 player"?

Literally the first line of my post says the whole thing is satire, survivor play is super easy and way too aggressive against killers who are supposed to be the power role, survivors need less assets to get the upper hand. The most recent stream they blatantly gloss over people talking about pallets.

Just watch this there are all points that are important and a questions are right in the end.

What they came up with now its more onesided and handholding update for one side than patch 6.1. where killers got faster actions and many survivor mains hate it till this day.

Yeah it literally is saying "we don't know how killers work because we don't play our own game, and rely on "the majority"s input and will never try to comprehend context or content".

Have you ever even played killer ?

I hope you read even the first line of the post, and not just the title

  • In terms of tunneling; they've gotten 1 of you while you're on or finishing your third gen? You're half way through the match and they're handicapping themselves to only sitting on a quarter done. You 3 can finish repairs, gang up to unhook, take protection hits to the exit, and leave. Losing 1, singular survivor does not mean the group loses, unless you are the target and die specifically.

  • I have a few questions / concerns.

Gradual crawl speed: can we also get a fix for player falling reading? It's like a 50/50 on if the survivor falls forward, or if they fall straight where you hit them. There is also desync between when the killer sees the survivor go down and when the survivor actually goes down, so the killer can lose where the survivor is as soon as they go down.

Hook status hidden: Can there be a bit more information on this? This seems like just straight up removing necessary information from killers. Are perks going to help buffer this? What about proxy camping against survivors built on saves, is there going to be a change to help killer knowing when hooks are active or not? Perks that work with unhooking, will there still be no notification, is that really reasonable? Can we get reduced timers on hook states to even out the loss of information?

Elusive and other buffs on unhook: Does elusive negate killer information perks? If a survivor doesn't do a conspicuous action, will these buffs really stay on without a timer? Will there at least be some form of information to let a killer know someone was unhooked, at all? Will there be perks to negate elusive?

Unique Hooks: Will there be consideration for reworking the number of hooks needed before sacrifice / kill for the repair speed? 6 seems very harsh considering how much infornation killers are losing with these changes. This also works against the buffs for killers if they do unique hooks to not hook the same survivor twice in a row by mistake, will the 2 consecutive be reconsidered? Or have lesser effect if consistent rather than no bonus at all?

Most importantly; will this aura reveal on hooking a survivor have an extensive timer, like 5 seconds+? Will there be a minimum distance it's effective / maxiumum? It really shouldn't given the major loss of information killer gets.

  • Clown is now playable and able to keep up in a meta of survivors all running perks to make them sprint at super sonic speed and loop until the killer gets their first hook with 2 gens left until the gates are powered. Sorry; nerf him back down, then force you to play against more nurses, blights and ghouls.

  • Clown is fixed, he's been unplayable for years. You don't like the killer having access to speed to actually put up against you getting a flawless win with all 4 survivors escaping. Sorry, let's nerf clown back down, and make you face nonstop nurses, blights and ghouls.

  • They're implementing answers for killers in response to everyone running perks that give them absurd speed. Want less killer speed buffs: nerf survivor speed.

  • Clown is playable now.
