  • That is a part of the design, and probably won't get changed. It's supposed to distract you and take your attention. It's annoying, but removing it would also some what weaken Hag who is already pretty weak in the first place.

They're fixing as many bugs as possible before they release it, not sure if you want to play an extremely buggy version of the PTB or a slightly more stable one.

    Why not both?! ;d

I mean like the game is balanced but also unbalanced. So I guess it could work :p

TL;DR Hatch changes are fine, currently the hatch is a free win for the survivor. Some power back to the killer would be nice and your chances of surviving when being the last survivor should be minimal and not guaranteed.

The hatch is already a free escape for the survivor if he finds it first. If the killer finds it first he should win, if the killer finds it, but the survivor finds it too, the killer should win, but this isn't the case right now. The Hatch is a 100% free win for the survivor as long as they aren't dumb.
Survivors already made several mistakes to get into that situation. The hatch changes are completely fine and bring some power back to killers.

The killer has a massive advantage at finding the hatch first. They dont have to sneak around to find it.

The killer is supposed to have an advantage immediatly. If you end up in that situation as I said. Your survival chances should be MINIMAL. You aren't supposed to escape every match. The killer should be the power role, but the survivors completely decide the flow of the game. The hatch changes are fine, it isn't a free escape anymore and needs you to actually play skillfully to escape in a 1v1 situation.

If the killer got 3 kills before 5 gens got done then the survivors weren't playing good, so what makes the 4th person entitled to get a free escape? Because he got a bad team? You forgot that to escape you need to work as a team also there is already a perk called Left Behind that boosts your gen repair time a lot.

Not_Queen confirmed in this post that the proposed DS changes did not go through and they would be looking at nerfing it in a different way.

Well that gives me a bit more hope for it to get ACTUALLY nerfed instead of buffed. Hopefully they come up with something that nerfs it hard. There are extremely good suggestions out there.

  • The term "ranked" games is a joke. If they actually wanted to make the game competitive then they should just add a casual mode where SWF is allowed and a competitive mode where SWF isn't allowed but is ranked.

For practicing? Yeah you can use it, but you learn better in public games when getting destroyed. Just don't mind people calling you bad, survivors complain even if you get a 4k. People said I'm bad for getting a 4k with 5 gens left. You don't earn any bloodpoints from KYF tho. Also you'd need a group of 5 players to get a "real" game going on.

  • It's more of a buff. Down sides; You are injured for the whole match after using your get out of jail free card. Pros; Button activation, huge stun time, can be activated whenever you feel like (everyone saves it for last hook), escape killers grasp, even though you're not obsession you can still use it whenever you want to.

It's more of a buff than a nerf. It's a slight nerf if you decide to tunnel that guy the whole game, but that's basically 80% of games right now. You want to get a survivor killed as soon as possible, and it's a guaranteed escape so killers can't do anything about it anymore either. Before you could try to make it hard to hit the skill check with turning around crazily for the survivor to get disoriented, using unnerving presence and other stuff, but now it literally has no indirect counter either.
I feel like it should be changed to be only usable if you're the last survivor alive. This would fit Laurie's other perks too by being the "sole survivor". Or you could make it so when there's 4 people you can use it, but the stun time is like 2 seconds then when 3 people it would be 3 seconds, 2 people 4 seconds and when alone it would be 5 seconds. This way it would become a last escape attempt instead of just a free escape.

  • Anywhere around 12 minutes to 18 minutes is about the right time for me. In my opinion if the game is too short then it feels like nothing got accomplished, but when it's too long it feels like both sides we're going at a snail pace. Imagine if a horror movie had chases taking 20 minutes or the victims escaping the killer in literally the first seconds. Ofc comparing DBD to a horror movie is a joke, because the immersion is broken 99% of games immediatly.
It's cool to have some long games every now and then, but too many and it gets too boring. Also the shard cap per game is 10 and you earn a shard each minute so devs probably intended around 8-12 minutes to be the "perfect" match duration.

  • Excited to see people dropping pallets onto their faces instead of mine expecting to teleport to the other side. 8-)

  • @Tsulan
Try to compare killer perks to survivor perks. Good luck, because I can't find any killer perks that are as powerful as survivor perks. Maybe NOED back when it wasn't a hex perk, but now it's a wasted perk slot if survivors know to expect it. Ruin can be powered through, also a hex perk, imo Ruin makes it easier to hit great skillchecks. BBQ has multiple counters. Basically any killer perk that survivors say are "op" isn't even close to the power level of survivors.
Ik you can disable DS by waiting to hook or dropping at the right time, but that requires a bit of timing and isn't 100% every time. DS a perk that lets you escape for free when you made several mistakes. Where's a killer perk that let's you instantly hook somebody after you injure them? Where's a perk that gives us the ability to see where the survivors are always when they are outside of our terror radius (excluding Freddy). Where's our perk where we can with a tap of a button do a Hillbilly charge for 3 seconds with 40 second cooldown? Where's our add-ons that completely change the pace off the game for each killer? If you can use BNP or Insta-heals on any character then why can't we have/use ultra rare add-ons that give us the ability to one-shot every survivor or completely regress a gen of our choosing by doing something?
Yeah I overextended this a bit, but you get the point. In an asymmetrical game with a 1:4 ratio. The person on their own should have the most powerful things in the game. Instead it's the opposite. The balance is absurd in every corner of the game. Add-ons, perks, mechanics basically everything.
Edit; Btw this wasn't to contradict anything you said, just wanted to point out a few things that I can think of right away that make the balance a complete joke.

Are there any plans for buffing Blood Warden?
Since the timing between the opening of the gate and leaving is to short.
Making it an activatable perk by pressing a button like E, 1 or 2 would make it perfect.

Any buffs to killer would be immediate outcry from survivors of "2 op plz nerf I cant escape every match". Then it would get nerfed and probably become a hex perk like NOED because NOED totally needed a counter that made it a waste of a perk slot if the survivors had half of a brain. >_<

This is exactly why I main nurse I don’t have time for loopers. Of course nurse has control over survivor movement the nurse is literally one of three viable killers and all should be viable. If all you can do is loop killers will start using nurse more.

When I started playing killer for the first time. I played Myers a lot because he was my first bought DLC. Then I moved onto Hag when she came out. Then my progress reset and I picked up Trapper and prestiged him to 3. After looping became a thing, I very quickly started playing Nurse a lot and now I basically only play Nurse. Because she is the only killer that can get kills like killers are supposed to. Nurse is probably the most balanced killer in the game.

I'm looking forward to the PTB tommorow. I'll be excited for survivors accidentaly dropping a pallet expecting to teleport to the other side, but actually just getting hit due to vaccums being gone. 8-)

"Every Michael Myers are so ass they evil within every single time it makes you garbage using a 1 hit killer"

Yup apparently using the killers ability makes you garbage. That one made me laugh.

Next you're gonna get flamed for using the Nurse's Last Breath or Hillbilly's chainsaw to traverse the map. 8-)

  • Back when BT was broken. (Before nerf) I hooked someone and the 3 other survs came to the hooked person and literally were standing next to the hook, waiting for me to leave it. Then in the post-game chat they called me a "facecamper" even though I didn't do anything else than stay at the hook due to them being at the hook. I mean like they gave me every reason to camp.
