That works relatively well conceptually but every single addon is directly related to James/Pyramid Head. Like I said, the lore is a mish-mash of classic SH lore and the new crap.
well...
might be a good approach here ;)

We'll probably get James in September. There's another Cheryl legendary coming. But the lore for Pyramid Head is an amalgamation of old SH lore and the new garbage. So Pyramid Head is both James' personal demon but is also the Silent Hill town executioner that everyone's scared of, because, reasons? He wants to be here but it's a crappy justification, I know.
the way I understood it was that there's always an 'executioner' in SH that has no form, and the entity gave it THAT form because it's the form it found most often in the minds of people.

Bad faith arguments everywhere, wow...

Plague and Deathslinger. I'm not good at all, so I might as well do things for The Aesthetics (tm)

You people even find survivors on that map?

could be they are maining killer and just farm bloodpoints there

it's kinda translating to
'How do you DARE having FUN in a GAME?!'

I think at the end of the day it comes down to what playstyles clash in a match.
A lot of high rank survivors focus on genrush, which, of course, killers know and play accordingly. I've seen killers getting frustrated when you 'don't play right' as well, because your survivor doesn't follow a 'predictable' playstyle, and vise versa.
One common sentiment seems to be people getting upset that *you* messed with their climb up the ranks...

It is explained in the Frontier set, yes, but here's the thing:
if you look at the individual pieces, not all adds up. The overcoat adds up, but the head and gun don't really do. The gun makes it sound as if he got his moniker only after suffering the leginjury (granted, we do see him with the brace in the artwork, but that seems to be already AFTER refining the gun), and the headbit sounds to me as if that particular bit of story could only happen AFTER bayshore took over the prison.
So, as with many other outfits, that lore could be from a different life (i mean he has dark hair in that set too without much an age difference to his main look) in which he didn't end up the entity's pawn, thus the leg info might or might not be accurate for the main-verse DS.

Looking over at the 'no one likes david' thread, the statements given there (about what the devs said about him and his role amongst the survivors) (just going by what's said there)) go against the 'they lose all memories and can't stand each other' bits and bobs...
also, ain't the observations & files by an unreliable narrator?

You should read my thing about ideas for sequels, friend. Its bouncing around in Lore sub forum in the thread " Will we ever get to battle The Entity"
saw that one. we might one day. and rolling with the second eldritch beast musing: what if the entity is the 'lesser' evil at bottomline?
-
food for thought: is there a possibility that it's not THE entity that gives survivors (and killers) their memories back, but a different eldritch thing? One that might not necessarily be benevolent, but that wants to weaken the entity and has found taken away its food is the most efficient way, and the most efficient and frustrating way for the entity for this to happen would be when survivors and killers fight back cause they got their memories/humanity back.
-
I'm kinda wondering about Caleb here. His main motivation is revenge and he's a bounty hunter. He has no beef with the survivors so what bounty is the entity promising? it did lure him in with bayshore and other bastards that wronged him, but the survivors...?

The Shining and Cube for maps (How frustrating would a map with random teleports/layout be?)
