  • Just run ds and have 3 inept teammates do gens and predrop. Pretty much gg there.

  • Its the perk that influences escapes, if not for yourself it will for the 3 others. It has no counter other than survivor stupidity. Survivors should always run this perk since their role is inept.

Bam 3 gens pop against a weaker killer (which survivors should be allowed to do this, isnt the problem), weaker killer takes ds after a well orchestrated proxy and loses (even though it would be a retaliation to the 3 gens that popped out of the killers control). Killers cant do anything in a high level scenario might as well lose every single trial. This game is going to fail if these devs keep mary-sueing the survivors. Gg wp

  • You cant nerf this killer, if you do the whole game will fall apart. Maybe instead of whining you could provide buffs for the weaker killers first so we can finally fix the game?

But no this just seems like a vile attempt to make every killer completely useless besides being hook campers.

  • Killers will always be weak at higher levels, hook camping is pretty much all they have left. Tunnel/proxy doesnt work either since survivors have a priority protection hit system always chosing the survivor that cant be hit(literally meaning you hit the survivor after being saved your knife will go right through them and will automatically hit the other survivor. So at the end of the day killers are only hoping they face crybabies that will speed up their own hook timer.

If any survivors are complaining whatsoever they don't have a right because the devs have always provided for them and always will. Thats also not an opinion thats a fact.

I agree with you. However, I am beginning to believe that killers as a whole would be better served by having a bot mode. There's a lot of killers that get stressed out playing against humans and really do want easier chill matches. LOL has a bot mode and some people prefer it.

If they are getting stressed about this game it is on them. No one asked them to play and it is their choice to begin with. A lot of players have never played an asymmetrical title so they think they know what they are talking about. Which they don't. Rng can be a major factor but also your playstyle, fair. But at the end of the day mmr accrues slowly and goes down slowy, so its actually okay to lose once in a while. But if you are losing constantly or are stuggling constantly it is on you the survivor or the killer.

  • Most just dont run it correctly whatsoever. A decent clown player who was incredible instinct and tracking can utilize fire up with bamboozle and brutal strength will dominate survivors one by one. We just have a community that brainwashes the killer community into thinking they cant compete in the 1v1. It will never be changed and should never be changed.

  • Sbmm belongs in this game, plenty of reasons.

1st, If it didn't exist we would all be facing babies which I don't know why anyone wants to face someone inferior to them other than to just bully them. If you are also into that thing you also should at least be trying it to someone that actually knows how to play.

2nd, The emblem system was easily abusable causing a lack of variety as well as a constant lack of information amongst the community as a whole. Killers could run corrupt with a nurse and just rack up a bunch of hits by just landing on the survivors while trapper/clown/myers (the variety) would just become territorial punishing their rating in the first place for existing. Sounds like a survivor sided mess, yes it was. Survivors could split gens against a weaker killer as of course hook bombing at the end along with old ds being abused at the end of a trial or you could just key out through the hatch with your team. The system only works when you have everyone playing in predictable ways along with the game not being asymmetrical whatsoever. Which Dead By Daylight should not have to take what works with the game and why it is successful in the first place to appease players that just want to feel like they're winning constantly.

3rd, The game needs a reliable way to measure someone's skill. If you do it by chase, weaker killers will suffer inherently survivors earning mmr for existing. You do it by hooks, weaker killers will suffer inherently survivors earning mmr for existing. With sbmm, you eliminate all those issues. Dbd gives you strategies all around the board along with a build picked by yourself to obtain a set of kills or escapes. Who has any right to determine any of that being skillful other than being able to complete your goal? No one does unless you have completed your objective. Also sbmm will be able determine which killer powers/addons/perks/items needs tweaking. It only seems now more than ever I see really decent balance changes across the board for both sides, notice how they don't need to look at survivor/killer mains barraging the forums about balance. They now can actually properly make decisions using mathematics and data to solve those problems finally.

Sbmm at the end of the conversation will always create a way for both sides to complete their objective rather than it being a one sided mess. Whereas killers used to be chained up to the emblem system or to the hatch mechanic. They now have way more freedom. Along with these changes came great additions to survivors as well broadening their smaller meta as well bringing more variety, while the game can still feel survivor sided it actually isn't since the boons can deactivate a ds or cause over confident plays allowing a weaker killer to take advantage of the situation. If you don't like sbmm, maybe its not the system or the game itself. Maybe you just need to change your playstyle or your build. Sometimes we all have to look in the mirror instead of just complain.

The final thing to mention as well, if you really don't want to play the game the way it is intended to be played you can always form custom match scenarios. Another thing I don't understand about this community is the absolute laziness and pettiness behind it sometimes, you don't have to play sbmm just like the Halo players don't have to play ranked/social matches, because they can form their own custom matches. Also when the halo community did this and 343 caught on to this and brought them a custom browser because players actually utilized that system. Maybe players in dbd could do the same exact thing and the devs might consider adding in a better way to create more scenarios.

  • Just run ds for the love of God. lol If you can't escape with that perk, I'm pretty sure you're just going to have to finally look in the mirror once and for all. Cause that perk influences escapes and still has a strong presence in the game.

  • As long as they do it to the survivors and not completely changing the better killer lores around. Survivors can be pretty cringey, make em all gay for that matter. Go for it.

  • @Absolutgrndzer0 I never mentioned having a system like that whatsoever. Please do not make the developers have to follow such a ridiculous system.

Dbd involves a specific set of strategies that exist all over the map along with the specific sets of builds. The builds and the strategies require no skill, its the actual way you use these strategies to obtain KILLS and ESCAPES. You have a system mentioned like yours, all you have is blight and nurses every match. Hence a killer apocalypse or survivor apocalypse scenario.

Basically your survivor sided nonsense against the "weaker" killers, (the killers that offer actual variety in the game). Will never work cause then survivors will then obtain mmr for just existing.

Yeah I've seen maybe two or three my entire time owning this game lol

When you acheive a higher mmr youll start to see them more and more. You also run into hackers a lot earlier in the morning. Im getting to it being around every 3 matches now. Especially on console its even more frustrating.

Well i don't know if you speak for the whole community there. I have never seen a hacker in my 300 hours of playing on PC exclusively (playing since release and with/without X-Play).

Not that i deny that they are there but to go and rip the community apart just like that instead of taking care of the root of the problem isn't the solution.

If pc players were only facing each other, the devs could actually find the root of the problem. Look, I'm fine with losing matches and all cause it actually leads to learning experience within the games core, leading to more and more hours played. But you know when you're being hacked around in match after thousands of hours of experience. You don't learn anything when being hacked along with the devs obtaining false data. A lot of players on all platforms continue to ask for nerfs and buffs in the wrong places when all the devs could do is approach the problem. Big huge blockers on the sides of screens for stretch res, along with setting mathematical parameters to determine bannable actions.

Then i hope you're prepared for really long survivor queues.

Back before X-Play was Implemented, these forums were full of complaints about survivor queue being 20-30 minutes long on console and I remember killer queues also being longer on PC due to the, yes, all in all smaller playerbase on PC alone relative to all consoles combined (due to the game being free sometimes on PSN and Xbox game passes).

The ratio of killer to survivor isn't great on console due to control limitations by controller sticks.

It's never worth the chance to go against hackers. The devs need good statistics, I am absolutely prepared to wait longer for balanced matches.

  • 5 gens got done in 3 mins, thats "rewarding".

  • As soon as the core is changed, meaning the lower tier killers have more of a chance. Nurse pretty much will stay where she is at the moment.

  • Its an immersive idea, but they wont do it. The key focus should be optimization. But I dont think they want to focus on that either.

  • As a Clown main, I think it's a great change. Although I hate going against the perk, perks gotta help? Am I right?
