  • As killer I enjoy the challenge of a good SWF so anyone who complains about them needs to stop complaining and step up to the challenge. Yes some SWFs can be toxic, but not all of them. I might get frustrated a lot with them as killer, toxic and not, but I look at it as a change to improve. I lose respect for anyone that complains about them.

    As for key vs. Mori...

    They are very different things.

Mori grants the power for a killer to immediately kill a survivor. Ever time i see a mori when i play surivior i expect it to be used after first hook. You know what? Usually the case. One hook mori, 5 gens left followed by three more and maybe 1 or two gens done by the last one.

Keys open hatch, yes. What killers when I ng about keys seem to forget is that so many gens need to be done for hatch to even spawn. Its not like hatch spawns at the start of the match, or spawns when the first person is hooked. It's basically a paperweight until hatch spawns and a death sentence for anyone who brings one in. They are pretty much a guaranteed tunnel.

Personally I get more pissed off about flashlights in my lobby than a key.

  • I dont have a problem with most perks. I have a problem with how people chose to use them. If you have BT and im playing killer, that's fine. I go after the person who did the unhook anyway. I play the type of killer I want to play against. I neither camp nor tunnel. Bring it on.

  • New auras are fine.... if your within like 10 feet of a hook or a survivor. They look really cool but any further than that and you are just looking for the barest sliver of red or yellow.

Unless you high resolution on PC you're basically screwed.

I'm legit praying they change it back or at the minimum find a way to make auras pop again. Changing them was a good idea as a concept but its not working for me in practice at all.

As a survivor? I consider it a win if I had fun without being toxic.

As a killer? I consider it a win if I get a 2k. Without tunneling, camping, playing as fair as possible, trying to ensure everyone has fun, because hearing someone had fun is much better for me than knowing I had fun at the cost of a fat Ebony and a silent-bell Wraith (or ForeverFreddy(tm) or Insta-shock Doc).

OMG I love you. this is exactly how I play. I just want to have a good time, that's why I play this game.

  • Survivor perks are fine.

Leaning to play killer, and learning to play killer PROPERLY, is hard.

BT is only a problem if you're camping or you tunnel the person who just got off the hook. Go after the person who did the unhook. The one that's injured, at lower ranks, is probably going to go off to the corner of the map to self care. This takes FOREVER, especially with Sloppy and keeps them off the gens. If you chase the person who did the unhook, well that's TWO people off gens.

As for DS - If the person unhooked does something stupid (i.e. jumps in a locker in front of you, circles around to immediately unhook someone else and goes does, whatever.... if they're being an idiot, then down them and either wait that minute and give up a gen, or slug them and come back to them after a minute. Otherwise, eat the DS and get it out of the game early. They can only use it ONCE. Even if all 4 people have them, big deal. Let them use it and go back after them. DS is really only good against tunnels and campers so if you don't do either thing, this won't be an issue.

Starting off as killer is hard, because you want that precious 4K. That being said, you're going to have a lot more fun and get a LOT more points learning to apply gen pressure and chase. Camping is BORING. I used to camp as killer when I was rank 20 and didn't know what I was doing or how to play. It was the most boring experience in the world. Stand around for 2 minutes and watch gens pop. Ooooh. Gross. Camping and tunneling, to me, is a sign of an insecure killer who is not confident in their ability to really play the game.

Here's the long and short of it. Killers camp because they don't know how to chase. They camp because they are counting on the survivors desire for altruism to unhook the person on the hook. As a result, if I'm in your lobby and you camp, under NO circumstances will I go anywhere near that hook. The best way to punish this behavior is to, in fact, focus on the gens and get out. In the two minutes it will take that person on the hook to die, you can have almost 4 gens done. Shame on you killer. This is why I don't camp when I play killer.

Survivor or killer, when I play DbD I play the game to have fun. If everyone gets out, they get out. If they all die, they all die. No matter what side of the game I play, I chose to play it fairly. I don't sweat, I don't play toxic, I just have fun and try to learn a little something new every match.

  • Aesthetically, I love it. It's a gorgeous skin.

As a player who doesn't main Claudette it's depressing. I'd like to have seen this available for everyone... and also... it's just another Blendette skin.

  • Same. I've only had 1 med kid and 2 flashlights show up in my bloodwebs and I've gone through over 2M points.

    I'm disgusted.

  • I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I probably spent 2M bloodpoints so far and only found one of each in all the webs I went through. I've found more in matches than I have in the blood webs. A lot of cakes... that aren't working correctly though. Sigh.... I saved up all my BP to get all the event items and they are NOWHERE to be found in the webs.

  • You can't always. Sometimes you can tell if they're all in the lobby dressed the same, or they all load in at the same time and sometimes you can just tell by the level of game play and coordination. Of course I've been accused of being in a 4 man SWF when everyone is solo so like I said, you can't always tell. It's like knowing when a killer is running discordance. Sometimes you can just tell.

Killers can ruin the event too. I was camped and tunnelled earlier, which usually doesn't bother me but now that's this an event it seemed extra sh**ty of them.

Agreed. That happened to me so much I had to walk away for a while. I'm so fed up.

As for SWF, I love a good SWF. I appreciate the challange of going against a well organized team. That's led to many fun matches, and matches that have proven more challenging, memorable and ones I can be more proud of in the end.

its meant to disencourage players from ending the trial early just to claim all crowns asap.

killers will have to stay the entire game, therefore they dont need to alter anything there - survivors on the other hand could just immediately get themselves killed uppon collecting a crown - this would ruin the game for everyone else, especially when large numbers of players were doing it.

therefore, to encourage them to stay the whole game, they gotta survive with a crown.

Keeping in mind, I play both sides of the game and enjoy both sides... but you say this and I can't help but wonder, what about the killers just going and getting the crown and then wandering around doing nothing the whole game to get the crowns ASAP?

When I'm playing survivor I appreciate a fun, friendly killer. They're so rare I greatly appreciate someone who's willing to not be sweaty and just have fun. After a dozen games of tunneling and camping killers, I had to log off for the afternoon because I was fed up with it.

The point of this thread is that it's the Devs are asking a LOT more of survivors than they are killers. Yes, a survivor could just get the crown, run to the killer and kill themselves on hook to collect the crown. However, they are required to survive the match. The killer on the other hand just has to get the crown and doesn't have to do anything else the ENTIRE MATCH to get it.

With 2 weeks to get the crown on my survivors (and I already have 5) I'm not worried about it at all and getting it for killer will be easy because hey, all I have to do is find it and BOOM, it's mine after the match no matter how badly I do. I could legit get the crown and go AFK off in the corner.

The fact you can't see the problem with that... I feel sorry for you.

Killers should at least have to hook all survivors at least one time to get the crown. That would be far more fair in my opinion as far as obtaining a cosmetic.

  • The only thing I feel needs to change about keys is to not have them spawn in chests in the game. I'm fine with them as they are as a killer.

And yes, I don't have a problem with a mori after everyone is hooked once. At that point that's just a killer who wants a 4k more that they want points and rank. It still reeks of desperation to me, but I'll take it.

And for the record, like I said, I'm not a survivor main. I used to be, but I enjoy both sides of the game. When I make a comment it's objective as someone who enjoys all sides of the game.

  • I love playing against the nurse. She’s so easy for me to avoid, and I suck at avoiding everyone. I’m just not good at running when I’m found. It’s super frustratingly.

My least favs are billy and bubba. Those freaking chainsaws man.

i hated the new Freddie for like half a day. Now I’m okay with him outside of that insane reach... and the fact I suck at running away and avoiding them. Seriously, I try to improve at it but I haven’t gotten much better.

i either have a really good run or I’m down in less than 10 seconds.

  • It's nothing to do with learning the role. Survivor is a learning curve, no doubt, but the killers get more.and more beefed up. We have perks that are 100% useless. Oh, speed bonus to do gens when you're the last survivor.

What good is that with endgame now? You tell me. The totems are unfindable without small game and even them it's a hunt.

The devs only seem to care about the opinions of the killers. This game is supposed to be fun and hard for both sides. I admit I'm a survivor main because playing killer makes me queasy with the first person POV. I can do it, but it's not my fav.

And with killers who camp and tunnel... ugh. Even my hard core friends who have been playing this game from the start are getting fed up with the OP killers and toxicity. I mean they killers even run faster than the survivors. I'm a pretty laid back person but even I'm frustrated and disgusted.

Considering that survivors have nothing to truly counter the killers it's easy to understand the frustration if you're a smart and rational person. Learn to play survivor better? That's just arrogance.
