I feel the same, I also have everything you said. As well as owning the game on multiple platforms (steam, epic, switch, ps4, ps5) so as a completionist this is annoying. Hell I even paid $60 for both the killer and survivor editions for the two charms. Sad.

Yeah, and sadly people are getting it who don’t own the chapter…and don’t play often. the people who did get the charm, don’t know what they did. So it’s really hard to guess what “triggers” this Easter egg…I think it’s random at this point or bugged.

My friend got the Ringu DLC on the Switch a few days after it released. He played a couple matches as Sadako. He has not yet unlocked the charm.
We both logged in for the daily rewards for the past week. The only thing I did that he didn't is I put some BP into Sadako and left her as the chosen killer when I closed the game. I don't think he put any BP into her, and he always selects Spirit before closing out DbD. So, either one of those things has something to do with unlocking the charm, or it's complete and total RNG.
Or maybe not playing the game for a week+ is the trick, I dunno.
My Sadako is p2 25 currently and I have left her as my main screen killer, yet I have not received the charm. Sigh

Just seems like in general they struggle to make drops happen when they they have to detect if players owned a killer at a specific point in time.
I received my shards once they were put out, and nothing on this charm.

its gotten to the point that ive deleted DBD from my ps4 just to reinstall it again to see if that would do anything..... still loading and most likely wont. but we'll see

sadly no that’s not it. I know someone who got the charm and he only logged in three times since chapter release. I have logged in every day during this ringu BP/shards event. Got nothing

I bought the chapter on release day on PS5, have played well over 100 games of both survivor and killer, playing both new characters. Even getting adept on Yoichi and Onryo. He got the charm. I did not. It is 100000% bugged for some people, I am part of some people. It's frustrating but we will eventually get it.

I hear you there, I literally own every cosmetic, purchase every rift, and event item. Yet this free item is locked behind some unknown mystery. If it is limited that is really sad.

At this point I think it is random, but it’s way too complicated. I own the game on steam, epic, stadia (linked), switch, and ps5 (with ps4 version downloaded) and nothing. I own the chapter on only PlayStation and steam. I only play on PlayStation, you’d think it would pop on one these accounts.

yeah i agree,,,,,hell even as friggin annoying the codes grabs from fog whisperers were especially when trying to get it for console... at least we knew HOW to get them... I despise this whole making a charm event a secret crap.... they did this last time for the Gnome charm and im sure alot of ppl were wondering ######### is going on. BHVR. I'm on PS5, and I have the charm. I have no idea what I did to get it, however. When I saw a thread here mentioning it, I logged in, got the cutscene, and the charm appeared for me. I play pretty much every day, got the DLC on release day, played every day afterwards, got both Adepts (killer and survivor), and I've got multiple Moris through the Condemned mechanic, so I have no idea what got it for me.

I have done: escape with the tape, get condemned moried, condemn mori survivor, regular mori, log on at 11:59 (the time on the vcr player), kill a survivor with the charm, wait for the eye jump scare, teleport through tvs, put the tapes in the vcr player, escape and play as killer with the vhs tape charm, I have all the trophies but one, both are at level 50, and I login every day, purchased the DLC on release day. I haven’t played 7 days straight, and I have relaunched my game a bunch of times
update; I have now healed/healed by and worked on a gen, saved, saved by and escaped with a survivor who had the charm, escape condemned, escape condemned with tape, 4K with tape charm, down someone near TV, teleport near tv and down someone, kill no one, condemn mori 7 survivors, afk loading screen, kill/mori yoichi as sadako, escape sadako as yoichi, watched the tv in game, played on lerys near the phone that is ringing

People on Reddit are saying that you need to be healed by someone who has the charm. Or hook a survivor who has it. I don’t personally know anyone with it. Just passing this information along.
update: someone on Reddit tried this theory and it didn’t work.

If that's the case BHVR must not know the requirements because it would have unlocked for most people on Tuesday. I'm feeling like it's a bug and we may get left out.. Nobody from BHVR can give any sort of info on this? I guess at this point I need to send in a ticket and see what happens since we can't get an answer here

Same maybe more, during the around the campfire live steam deathbygiggles talked about the charm. This was around the 18 minute mark. From what I understand, the cursed tape should appear after 7 days from chapter release. Unless I misunderstood. So maybe it is bugged for some people?

I also purchased the chapter on release date, I play on PlayStation. I have played as both Sadako and Yoichi, I have escaped with the tape, I have both adepts, the only thing I didn’t do is play every day but I have logged in every day. So I am stumped and it is driving me crazy. Ha!

I was sent this link by Clyde, I don’t recall reading anything about trophies not being transferred when this post was originally made. However now it says:
Will my trophies be transferred?
Due to technical limitations, we are unfortunately unable to transfer your trophies at this time.”
The at this time, gives me some hope I guess.

I don't think the devs decided to reverse the decision of the release of the event cosmetics for everyone because of 'backlash', but rather because they were able to identify the players that actually earned the cosmetics, but lost them. The purpose of everyone receiving them was (as I believe) only because they couldn't identify the people who actually lost it, but they now have.
They said the feedback they received caused them to review the unlocking process of the event cosmetics. That is what i read in the release information post.

Well I do believe the equivalency is a bit odd I can at least understand the sentiment they're trying to make.
As a console player I'm glad we got some of the cold based cosmetics as we never got a chance to get there but I can understand Legacy being something bad was there for the players who put in the effort back when it was a serious grind it would feel cheap to negate that same thing with the event cosmetics people put in the grind for them and played around the event it would feel like a major middle finger to just release it for everybody.
But as they stated they don't intend on doing exclusives anymore unless they literally have no other choice.
So I think through cosmetics going down the line we should all be fine.
Also give Feng and Legion a Blight cosmetic

Legacy was available when the game was still in it’s early phase. For all they knew the game could have failed like DeathGarden did. Legacy as promised by the developers should remain exclusive. So i find the legacy and event skin debate unfair. I have 2/4 event cosmetics and i see no problem with them making them available. I had to grind for the moonrise and blight events while others could get them in the store whenever they wanted. I just reached tier 70 in the archives and in one year all those cosmetics will be available in the store. I am not trying to sound ungrateful because i do appreciate the free cosmetics they did give us. This is just my personal feelings.

While I understand why you didn’t add the event skins for free and I do appreciate the free cosmetics you did give us. Would you guys consider adding the previous event skins to the store similar to what you did with the blight/moonrise events, or put them in the rift, or in a future event? This is coming from someone who does own 2/4 event cosmetics. Thank you very much!

I would also personally like to see them put in the store. All other event cosmetics after the Scorching Summer BBQ event were put in store. Yes, i do have the free songbird shirt and the Pro-Pain hammer. I unlocked all available cosmetics during the hollowed blight and the Moonrise events while others could simply purchase them whenever they wanted. At this very moment i am grinding the tome, currently at tier 68 but in year all those cosmetics will be available in store. I hope at least they will consider doing it. Well said MrGolden32467!

I have all the trophies on PlayStation. However skilled huntress and evil incarnate were not easy. For the wounded healer achievement i recommend using no mither, saving and healing. That’s what worked for me.

I understand left 4 dead is owned by valve, and valve owns Steam. Hence why Bill is currently only available on Steam. Have you contacted valve about adding Bill to console? Did they say no?

I don’t totally dislike behaviors look but i wish they would just change a few things. Remove the belts and shoulder pads. Also the strips on the hood, the split in the skirt and and darken the outfit. I don’t know if that is infringing on anything. But i used Skemoo’s rendering and i just made some changes. It’s not perfect but it gives you an idea of what i have in mind. Hopefully in the future they can do this . Overall i am very hyped! :)

Robert is a fan of the scream franchise, who was giving permission by R.J. Tolbert to make an announcement on May 28th. Now we know it was as most speculated, Ghostface is coming to DBD. Robert as far as i know is simply a fan and doesn’t own any rights to the Scream franchise. However R.J. Tolbert is the man who owns the rights to the mask. Overall the hateful comments towards Robert is disgusting.
