Funniest part is they usualy (if they are quite new and unexperienced by DBD standards) they dont even know what friendly killer is and run like scared gooses (they react kinda like bots to killers terror radius).

Yep, unless you're pig or gf that can silly crouch and nod, most of the time they'll be too scared to notice.

  • Only if Dio's mori is the ROADOROLLER DA!

    Tinfoil Theory.

Do you think Stranger Things called Vecna MrWhatsit so that BHVR has a name to call this new Killer?

Well, Henry is called Vecna by the kids as reference to D&D, but that's just 'cause they didn't know what to really call him… So maybe his name will not be Vecna?

Also, his power could be real telekinesis? Like, really throwing stuff or people around? Either that or He'll have tendrils to slap people somewhat like nemesis?
    Idk.

But having another killer name vecna is kinda lame (maybe the community will call him vecNot?).

  • I play friendly when I see that the survivors were screwed by the godly MMR brackets in this game. But most of the time I'll play as efficiently as the survivors are.
Same as a survivor, if I see that the game put me with a killer that shouldn't be in my MMR (wich is not that high as survivor btw) I'll play chill and do some totems, open chests, etc.

  • For me it was Midwich, Lery's, Hawkins and Toba all week. Painfull to play. Occasionaly I'd get a rushtromo, I mean, Nostromo. I think I got a coldwind and a MacMillan. besides that it was just those maps.

I play both sides, but I've definitely stopped playing as much as before. The only thing that would make me come back is a Terrifier chapter adding Art the clown.

That'd be dope, but I think Art relies way too much in gore, idk how BHVR would make justice to the character without backlash. But I'd buy him 100%.

  • And In what does it nullify what I've said? You can actually read? Last patch was ass to play anyone that needed a "normal" chase to get a hook. As Oni all I was seeing was people mindlessly dropping the nearest pallet and instantly running to the next. By the time I got a hit and my power, It'd be 2-3 gens popping, unless I got a lucky hit in someone who was in a bad spot without pallets, wich was rare since most of the times survivors start hearing your heartbeat and pre-run, even today.

And as any other killer I had barely 2 perks to use since brutal and/or endure was mandatory as I'd be munching pallets all day.
The only thing you're doing is showing how little you understand of the killer role my man.
As I've said, you guys will eventually get everything that you want, Nurses and Blights all matches.

If you play Ghoul, calling people low-skilled should be the last thing coming out your mouth. Or do Ghoul players just not get irony?

I play almost every single killer into p100 lobbies. Save from hag, trapper, skull merchant and the DLC killers that I couldn't bother… And I can easily say that in higher lobbies I do better with Oni, wich has MUCH MORE snowball potential than the Ghoul that, at the end of the day, is a Legion with better mobility.
You guys cry way too much here, but calling a killer "low-skilled" is easier than owning up your unwillingness to learn how to play the game.

  • I just love how this forum is low-skill biassed. If you play ghoul against ANY p100 survivor who knows the game he can be as weak as wraith. If you play against medium to low skilled survivors It will be a mess.

I've never seen a high-tier killer that depends so much on the level of survivor you face.

Nurse and Blight? Unless you're playing against a comp team, you can win 90% of your games, even against a fully stacked lobby.

Ghoul? If there is ONE survivor who knows how to play against him, he'll have a really hard time.

You guys just need to learn killer's powers and weakness and stop being such crybabies.

Or don't idc, if you guys want to be facing blights and nurses every match 'cause every killer that BHVR puts in the game needs to be nerfed to the ground for your "fun", I guess ya'll get what you deserve…

    It's just how these are.

    Deliverance users get found first.

4 medkit lobbies get put against a Plague.

Hex totems spawn right next to survivors.

Remember the first iteration of undying, that somehow it was always the other hex that would be the first to go?

I am experiencing something similar but with Save The Best For Last. For some reason, every time I run it the first survivor I find is the obsession …

At this point bring PWYF and profit

    Bring PWF and profit 😂

  • That's a good way to get a killer to slug in a 3v1. Just sayin'…

And it is EXTREMELY RARE for a killer to have a kill with 4 gens up, survivors must be slacking pretty hard or just messing around, and there's no way for a killer to know that.

Most of the time you'll get 1-2 gens popping in the first hook (That doesn't apply to Nurse, Blight, etc).

  • People have said enough in this post but, If I may… I'm a bad survivor, decent at best, but even I can loop for a good minute any killer besides nurse. If I'm being tunneled, I'll make the killer chase me to the other end of the map, where my teammates aren't doing gens, and try to take as much time as I can in the chase. Is not rocket science, you just need to learn to look back and need to learn checkspots.

Also, try playing some killer my dudes (for real, not just "jump into one killer game, get a 4k since your killer MMR is garbage and come here to brag about 'how killer is easy'"). I can loop (at least a little bit) because I am a killer main, I can take a guess what I'd do in a situation as killer and decide what to do as a survivor. If you're playing just one side you're the one to blame by being bad at the game. Sorry but it's the truth.

  • My last survivor games were: Wraith, Dredge, Freddy (Haven't seen on in ages and he got 4k at 1 gen up), Doctor (Last time I've played against one was like, before Dawg Master) and a Billy.

You see, people ARE playing low-tier killers and now they're doing well. One can only guess what happened to make low-tier killers viable…

  • I'm not a good looper, but I'm trying to get better at it. So when I notice that the killer is going for the tunnel, I just play it safe. Pre drop, try to wase a lot of time, and try to get downed in a pallet or a corner of the map, to make the killer get into a lose-lose situation.

Most of the time when I play killer I'll tunnel if I see that I'm losing a match and need someone out ASAP or if the unhooker chikens out and the only palyer I see is the unhooked one (though luck buddy but I need to chase at least one person).

Btw, on that topic. As killer I usually do not go back for hooks since the best way to spend the time after hooking someone is going right for gen patroll, so you'll make 3 people no work on gens (most of the time). So if you're a survivor that thinks that unhooking is a great plan when the killer is nearby, just stop it. There is not a single reason that a killer would just ignore someone unhooking under his nose. It's either a free down or a chase right out of the bat.

Oh and btw again, if you're unhooked and just try to bodyblock, don't get all upty when a killer downs and leave you slugged. They'll just assume that you have DS and is trying to make them eat it.

  • Their M.O. is basically:

"We'll say that we'll do a MAJOR QoL year (been here before). We do basically NOTHING besides some tweaks that, don't get me wrong, are good but changes almost nothing in the core gameplay. We do not hear the complaints of both sides equally and do not make changes based on that. We panic at the end of the year and try to appease a loud majority. That backfires EXTREMELY BAD. We revert almost EVERYTHING after that really bad PR stunt. We're back at the start (again).

While that, we DO NOT hear our CONSULTANTS, we DO NOT hear our biggest streamers. We do not hear ANYONE that loves the game and WANTS it to stay alive."

I get that being a dev in a game the size of DBD isn't a walk in the park, but for god's sake, listen to the people that WANT the game to succeed, stop taking those PR nightmare decisions (WHY IN THE EARTH DID YOU MAKE A SURVEY THAT CLEARLY HEARD JUST ONE SIDE OF THE PLAYERS? WHAT DID YOU THOUGHT IT WOULD ACCOMPLISH?). Stop making everything basekit as a reward for either a bad gameplay loop or just bad decision (player's fault) and try to fix the cause, not the problem. It's CLEAR AS A DAY that, if you make some perks basekit, players will abuse it AND will bring more strong perks into the match, since they now have 1-2-3 slots available.

Imagine, for a second, if you make, let's say, Pain Res basekit. What do you think would happen? Killers will just bring a chase or aura perk? Or they'll slap ANOTHER gen regress? 'Cause the problem isn't regression, it's gen speed.

Got it? If you just treat the problem, not the cause, players will STILL have to adapt and bring strong stuff.

The same goes for the 1000 basekit perks that survivors got lately (and would get even more).

    You're just band-aid fixing things.

If you want tunneling to not be the BEST option for killers to win a match, make it so that killers don't need to get someone out ot the match asap to have a chance of winning.

If you want to stop slugging, make it so that killers are punished for doing it just for the sake of slugging. But giving BT for the rest of the match isn't the way to go.

And while we're on the topic, why slugging and tunneling (killers strategies for winning a match) are being so frowned upon, but gen rushing, builds that prevent you from hooking, builds that make killer waste a lot of time before getting a down, and then, most of the time, someone has a build to pallet/flashlight save. Builds that make killer's life miserable are not in the table?

See what I mean when you guys bring it to yourselves by NOT LISTENING both sides?

Yeah sorry for the long reply, but I guess someone has to say it.

  • No no, It's really fun guys… I'm having a blast. As a (former) Oni main, it's REALLY fun to play "M1 killer with a fun power that you will NOT use" since survivors just have SO MANY PALLETS to deny a hit.

I guess that I'll be playing the " top 5 fun killers" now on.
