I would like to know how to not have the Huntress dc after the third gen when she has this add-on ? Is it a bug ?

I mean we had 2 people ragequit on their first hooks and still got two gens done because she didn't have ruin. Gens get done ridicolously fast and the huntress with her complete lack of map pressure definitely suffers a LOT from this.

That could be another idea for a red addon for her. Hatchets with a built in Surge effect that explode a gen for 8? 12? percent of repair and start regressing it, so when she chases people off a gen she can just chugg one of 3? Hatchets at it to start it regressing immediatly. Another possible one where i would definitely reduce the amount of hatchets carried, but that could help her with the crippling lack of map pressure that's currently giving her a very hard time if she doesnt stack gen slowing perks.

And of course just like there are entitled survivors that think there's no point in finishing a match (hint hint the recent change from -3 pips for a DC to -1 pip is VERY much encouraging DCs) the same is true for killers. Like "omfg i used this addon to kill the ######### outa these guys and i still cant get anyone" (cause turns out if you only have 3 shots and you're not a good huntress you can still get wrecked if you lack gen prevention perks)

  • Two of them actually mentioned us being idiots for not bringing DS and that they did know via the lack of an obsession.

It's now back in my inventory at all times and yea the consistent tunneling is still there - but at least there's no widely televised "HEY NO POTENTIAL PUNISHMENT FOR TUNNELING" Broadcast in the bottom left of their screen.

I hate relying on it. I dislike the existance of mandatory crutches. If a perk is THAT much of a "have it or lose the game", it should be changed. That applies to both DS and Ruin btw.

  • Lets try to sum up the feedback so far:

    Stealth gameplay should've been utilized

    • I agree. I prefer Stealth gameplay whenever possible, i've recently reestablished Iron WIll as a major staple in my builds. However, there are about literally a dozen perks available to killers that completely nullify any attempt at stealth gameplay, i should know, i use them all the time because i'm awful at detection. And i still manage to consistently kill 3-4 survivors just because Barbecue, Nurses and Bloodhound save my arse
    • Stealth gameplay is sort of hard to employ if the killer is a pig that just goes into crouch mode to deny borrowed time and doesnt break line of sight to the hook even once. I got tunneled off the hook twice in a row, and i was not packing DS. At that point, pallet play is all that you have, with an M1 killer walking at you. Stealth simply isn't an option if you're never left alone. Not to mention she had Surveillance so i would've been detected every time i'd go back on a gen even if i had escaped her.

    Jukes and Hitboxes

    • I think we can all agree that the dedicated servers and the live peer2peer session are in one of the roughest spots hitboxes have ever been in three years of Dead by Daylight. And by that i mean they are SO far off you might as well be flipping a coin every time you attempt something like it. That from me, fresh out of a game where a Spirit repeatedly hit me while i was BEHIND her, because the out-of-phasing lunge is "slightly enlarged" by whatever vi4gra lets her leave this plane of existence in the first place

    "Map(s( is/are X sided. deal with it"

    • You realize you're stating an issue out loud, yea?

What could i have done to remedy the situation? Well, step 1, brought DS, step 2, play survivor exclusively in 4 man squads with communication, bringing Adrenaline and Instaheals. Which i find absurd, crutchy, and boring.

I think we need some bigger fixes and map revisions and if you ask me, i think NOONE is gonna cry if Coldwind Farm is the next map-set to receive the Springwood Treatment.

  • Not exactly like the Killer could be avoided - it was a Legion, so he had wallhacks as soon as he hit any of the rando's in the match 😅

  • It's always been a problem. The difference is now they've created an abuse case where effectively a T3 Meyers with a 4 second chargetime is on the loose ^^ You tell me it's good for the game's health when im sitting in killer queues for literally more than half of my playtime because im not the only one not interested whatsoever in playing vs GF.

Not to mention he seems to have GLARING detection bugs. I played another match where he sat at a fire barrel on MacMillain - we literally exchanged views for over 20 seconds. I went behind a rock and had him dead pan in the middle of my screen on the other side of the rock for quite literally enough time to do a quarter of a generator (because that's what the semi-AFK dwight did behind me).

And i could not break him out of stealth. The only time it even BEGAN breaking him out of stealth was when i intentionally put myself in his line of sight - the very instance i did that, i was able to start breaking him out - and in return he was able to stalk me. Normally that doesnt sound too bad, does it? Well it was, because as previously mentioned, the stalk simply sticks. And because this guy ran stalking speed addons he could literally DUEL my reveal, marking me (and anyone else) while being BLATANTLY obvious before we even finished revealing him. You tell me that's good for the game and not a repeat of release legion all over again.

I just wanna be able to play Dead by Daylight without sitting in queues forever. I've currently been queued since 3:08 and it's 3:30, so ive sat in this queue for 22 minutes, at killer rank 11, and completed an entire control warrior Hearthstone match, on the live servers, during a double bloodpoint event with MASS amounts of extra 103% bloodpoint offerings available. Let me reiterate: does that sound like a healthy game state to you?

Take the liberty to check the SteamStats page for Dead by Daylight. On Ghostfaces release day, 36000 people played. Literally the day after, it's 22000, the lowest it's been in over two weeks. The numbers don't lie.

I wish i had that rock ridicolousness on video. I'll try to recreate it in KYF tomorrow just to make a point. In this current state, GhostFace is Release Legion, if Legion got to instadown people after going into Frenzy and hitting someone else to reveal them.

  • Update: i'm now up to 13 quits in 16 matches - it's almost funny, but it's mostly sad. Respect to the last SWF i faced, 4 man SWFs so far have been the only groups without DCs

  • Oh for ######### sake - next attempt, 15 minutes queue, 9 minutes loading screen puts me back into the create a lobby screen with no error, addons and event offering (40000 bloodpoints spent to unlock) gone for NOTHING.

And then another hard crash as i tab out to my browser. What the ######### man

  • Im rank 11

I've had 20+ minute queue times for two days now. It's not just the high ranks. The whole survivor side seems to be utterly dead now that most people have their survivor vials capped out

Edit: Update, at 30 minutes i got 3 survivors to join - and when one of them decided to leave again my game hardcrashed to the desktop.

What the hell is going on in the matchmaking server?

I definitely don’t think you should get penalized for someone getting put in the bt state after you unhook them. That would defeat the entire purpose of having BT in the first place because you would want to only unhook people when it’s completely safe.At that point you might as well just never run BT and run we’ll make it instead.  Also this would punish survivors who save their teammates from hooks in front of the exit gate at the end of a match so you’d essentially be punishing people for being the reason their teammate survived. And then there’s basement camps

Actually the way i suggested it, saving somebody at the end would still grant you an effective boost of 40 points (because they would go from the BT state to the escaped state and on top of that you'd be re-granted the 10 points you lose because of them being hooked to begin with)

Funny enough, aggressively farming people off hooks previously caused you to often not rank up, as you wouldnt get many bloodpoints if you quickly became the last player alive on your team (it just led to a flood of hatch standoffs with the toxic players needing the hatch if they wanted to rank up)

The main problem i see is that your perk choices can literally mean you choose wether or not you wanna rank up, because the action of BT unhooking is wrongfully classified in the context of the game. Unhooking someone 3 seconds after they've been hooked, even if it's with borrowed time, is a massive detriment to the team and is currently definitely weighted wrongly by the emblem system.

Blood point farm unhooking has been a problem for a long time and won't change unless other actions (such as picking up slugs or a penalty on unsafe unhooks) bloodpoint rewards aren't altered. But at least we could do something about people intentionally staying at low ranks while spamming S tier perks against low level / low experience killers just to get to jack people off hooks without actually trying to win the game for anyone but themselves.
