Thats nor the point or the place to be arguing about this stuff. Your causing a argument on a post that was merely someone doing a good deed. You really need to get off your high horse and stop being so entitled. So what, you watched some streamers to get your code, you even said it yourself that it is not hard and you can do it while playing other games. What makes it any less different than someone browsing the forums and getting the code that way? There really isn't any difference other than you leaving a steam up for several hours.
Grow up and stop harrassing people on forum posts for your own silly agenda. If you have that much of an issue with it. Make your own post to discuss it. The OP's post isn't the place to do this and your just making yourself look like a fool and a keyboard warrior.
