They probably want it to still be useful for other survivors who happened to bring Self Care. They just went overboard on the bonus.

I'm still new to the game but even I know the general consensus is "Self-Care? In this economy?" I guess the only reason to have Self-Care over a Boon is when a particular survivor (Looking at you, Nancy) has destroyed all of the totems.

  • Good luck to you too. May wisdom and comprehension find their way to you. ♥️

  • I was in a match against a Legion and from what I've seen Legion isn't particularly strong and the only conceivable area he is strong in is quickly prevented with a single Boon how they are currently. I like an elimination to the healing speed increase or a cooldown to using them would be more balanced.

I think it don´t need any speed bonus. Free heal would still be good.

Basically just be a self-care for all that's tied to a boon? I like that.

Do you really not get that pig randomly choosing a box to block is RANDOM. Random chance kid. Cry harder about it

So the issue is that you have the wrong information, even though I have provided a rather clear description. The Pig knew which box I specifically needed to escape my trap. Again, reading is free, kid. Funny you assume I'm crying. Projection much?

I love how the Pig picking 1 box to camp, giving up the generators, getting lucky enough that ONE Survivor needs that specific box, and the other Survivors did not leave to give hatch, is all 'Pig abusing their power'.

Heaven forbid the stars align and the Killer get ONE kill via camping ONE box! While teammates don't leave to give hatch, which proves even this strat is Survivor controlled! Clearly abuse of an OP power! 😂

Given the circumstances, the Pig in question didn't have gens to protect (All five gens are done, she now has to worry about gates being opened, she knows that I have a trap on my head and the trap has been active for some time and I think it's common for killers to have a rough idea of time passage). The majority of the issue in this particular case lies in solo queues being what they are, i.e. having terrible/selfish teammates, but an issue is still noticed that in the event that a Pig wants a particular survivor out of the game, if they know that the Survivor is on the last leg (1/4th of their timer and are heading toward the box) and if they don't feel comfortable enough to commit to a chase and try to down a survivor, they can camp the box and wait for the trap to go off. Again, as stated numerous times, this has no counter-play (This is the main concern since you seem unsure). Is it oddly specific and rare, sure.

I've pointed out the similarities of the game mechanics with Cages of Torment moving if a Pyramid Head camps them. Asking for the same thing is not a nerf on the Pig nor is it a call-out of an "OP power". Just a broken mechanic that doesn't rewards playing well for either killer or survivor. I simply pointed out the broken mechanic, provided a suggestion for a fix that does not negatively impact gameplay of the killer (Forcing a survivor to waste more trial time running to the new box spawn is literally time not spent opening a gate, doing a gen, doing a boon/totem, or healing). I mean maybe some killers just really want easy wins but when I play killer I like to work for my kills. I don't enjoy broken game mechanics (No matter which side they favor).

Lmfao if you can't understand how what you're complaining about was literally just rare unlucky RNG then i don't know what to tell you buddy

A killer camping a box isn't RNG. Like what about this is so difficult for you to understand? The same thing occurs when Pyramid Heads camp Cages of Torment and yet the game addresses this and this doesn't negatively impact playstyle or playability of the killer. If a human being is behind the actions of an event, that by definition is not RNG. If you are having difficulty understanding what RNG is or means, I welcome you to Google it. It's free. :)

Darn, I didn't know you just started playing this game mid December. Now I actually feel bad about my comment.

Look, this moment with the pig was frustrating, yes. But, you better get used to this if you continue playing this game, it's like an abusive relationship. You will have many, many more situations similar to this and the more you begin to understand and experience this game and its mechanics, the more frustrating it will be... until you start just laughing about it :D laughing and laughing and crying and laughing

There are absolutely ridiculous and broken things about the game that we just have to accept in the game. My issue is when an issue is noticed and arguably, there is a fix that would prevent similar experiences happening in the future that mitigate the problem of an imbalance in game. If there is an aspect in game with NO counter-play, it's extremely reasonable to bring it up and discuss how the issue can be resolved. Based on past experiences where survivors had broken mechanics in their favor, funnily enough many spoke out to have the issues addressed and fixed. From what I understand, Boon totems were broken AF in the PTB prior to release and even then they had a slight nerf after. This was because based on the original mechanics of them, it created imbalances and affected the gameplay on the killer's end. It's blatantly obvious how on either side you have entitled survivors or entitled killers within this community who get so riled up at the very mention of any changes that might affect their gameplay. The focus should always be about the balance of the game and to make sure there is counter-play to potential strats that killers or survivors can employ. As mentioned above I definitely thing the Pig needs to be buffed in many areas. (I would love to see traps that affect gen and healing speed on survivors) If say my proposed change of the Jigsaw boxes moving if the Pig is camping them, this only adds time onto the survivor needing to find the box and get the trap removed. That's time not spent healing, doing a gen, putting up a boon, opening a gate, etc. It doesn't affect Pig players at all that simply move onto the next survivor.

TL:DR If I come home to my sink leaking, I address the problem, not "get used to it".

  • @CrashMADDS13 said:

By your logic, we should completely remove the hatch because sometimes, based solely on RNG, a "pathetic" survivor can use it to get a free unearned escape.

    Give me a break

I welcome you to lay out how what I stated would also mean we should "completely remove the hatch". The issue is not with chance of escape from saw traps nor is it with the very existence of RNG. If you can't get what the point of my post is maybe refrain from commenting or ask for clarification? False equivalences don't add anything of value.

I understand the feeling but first, you got your trap off which means she was not chasing you/tunneling you off hook at least on your first hook... if you were unfortunate enough to get trapped a second time well, I feel sorry but Pig did nothing wrong. Two, your mates not leaving means it's their fault, not the killer one.

So your personal definition of tunneling requires the action to occur off of both the 1st and 2nd hook? Because that doesn't seem to be the much agreed on definition of having the killer chase you and you alone off of a hook state. As to my personal experience, I didn't state that the pig tunneled me, only camped the last box because she knew that was the last one. And while the other survivors in solo queue ######### me by not leaving, the fact of the matter is that a pig camping a box is going to happen, and it's not very sporting or fair for the survivors on the receiving end. And survivors in solo queue making the wrong choices is just an aspect of the game. I accept that and have not stated

Not a direct reply to you specifically: Already I see remarks of "Oh let's nerf the pig more" as though what I'm suggesting directly would nerf her (It's painfully apparent how many can't read and simply react at key words). If that's your reply, read what I originally stated again. I personally believe the Pig should be buffed (Would love to see gen repair and healing penalties for those with traps on) and yet I can still lobby for a similar affect on the Jigsaw boxes that occurs with the cages of Torment for Pyramid Head.

Have to tunnel? There is nothing wrong with tunneling and most survivors says being chased is the most fun thing in the game, and devs says tunneling is ok.

Have to borrow this thread for a question. I don't want to play killer but in the tome there is a challange to put 4 RBT on survivors. Could you use the addon where all survivors start with them on the head, AFK and get the challange done?

Most survivors? Where do you get that information from and have you asked said "most survivors" if they find it fun not having a chance at escaping through skill and dying only because of a broken game mechanic that any killer can choose to abuse? As for what the devs say, it doesn't wholly matter. I've seen devs play killer and resort to tunneling/camping/slugging and while those are "valid strats", it does take away from the gameplay for others and quite frankly it takes zero skill. When I play killer (Main Trapper, Wraith, and Demo) I don't camp hooks, tunnel survivors, or slug multiple survivors (I feel it's fair play to maybe leave person slugged to hit another survivor if they are trying for a beamer save). It's more challenging and personally rewarding when you can destroy 3-4 survivors without relying on cheap strats. Everyone is going to have their own opinion on that matter but the fact remains that tunneling, slugging, camping often isn't fun for the survivors experiencing it. This particular mater is about a mechanic that has no real counter-play to it (The point of the game and the trials themselves to offer [arguably] fair chance to killers and survivors.) While the game may be survivor sided when taking SWFs into account. BHVR has stated how much of a difference there is when solo queue is involved.

As for the Pig challenge, since the challenge asks that you place the traps on survivors, I'd be willing to bet the add-on that starts all survivors with traps on would not count for the challenge. Also not certain if the challenge stated different survivors but I don't believe so. It shouldn't be hard to get the challenge done in one match. What fun would a challenge be if you just did it while AFK?

But you don't complain when you get the trap off first try I assume.

And that has to do with the point of my post how? No where did I complain about the chance of getting a trap off. Do you want to try actually forming a valid response or are you going to continue reading whatever you want into my post?

at close range with no obstacles, they damage for one health state..

at long range/through objects, they swarm.

if a swarmed surv gets hit by birds, they get damaged for one health state.

    Thanks!

It's not based on the killer's connection (though it used to be P2P that way).

You don't need that much time to get a full set of t3 perks from other killers, or hit red ranks. Red ranks are honestly probably doable in a week with a new account, if you're good enough/get good streaks and play enough.

The only perk you're told to have that's not base game is Decisive Strike. Pretty sure Borrowed Time and Dead Hard are on unlocked characters from the getgo.

Anyhow, grades are mostly an indication of time played that month? And reset is later today, so everyone's going to drop back to Ash at first.

My own strat so far as to get the most points was to get we're gonna live forever from David and then play Bill so I'll at least have borrowed time. From what I've seen I can possibly get decisive strike from the store for shards. Not sure if that's random or if it circulates. The issue I have is that I need some of those perks now if I'm going to capitalize on points and especially if most killers just want to circle hooked survivors instead of checking on gen progress. One killer claimed he only had 50 hours of playtime yet had 4 different killer perks all tier 3 on the oni. I've played about 20ish hours so far and I've just unlocked we're gonna live forever from David. I might give up on random queues for a while and try to exclusively play survivor with friends. Thanks for the info.
