If he puts it away, he can get a hit on you, but you just have to predict what he's going to do. It adds a mindgames to an otherwise boring killer.
It won't get killswitched. Suck it up.
The mindgame of "did he put the tentacle away or did the game just break and make it only look like he put the tentacle away but is in fact actually using it". That's not a mindgame, by the way. The killer is doing nothing on their part to mindgame. The animation is just randomly breaking. Nemesis is still a boring killer, even with his primary attack being bugged so that you can literally never trust your eyes or ears. He's both boring, and deeply annoying.

Yea but is it any worse than players who don't want to heal and leave a ocean of orbs everywhere...I had one game as Oni where no one healed and I had a near Perma rage because no one healed
Yes, it's worse.

I'm not really playing less, but I am having significantly less fun than before. It feels like killers took the patch as an opportunity to play as nasty as humanly possible; just deliberately trying to make sure people don't have fun. The vast majority of my games I would hardly even describe as playable.
-
Getting out of an annoying match in hopes that the next match will be less annoying.
-
Playing killer is pretty breezy compared to playing survivor, these days.

Iframes didn't matter. DH was broken because of the distance it gave, and it still does the exact same thing that everyone claimed y'all were doing with it. Now, you can actually wait out DH.
Survivors definitely did need major changes. Some of them I don't agree with, but overall the patch was a very good thing
You could always wait out DH.
If DH was broken because it gave you 1 meter of distance, then maybe they should outright delete SB, Lithe, BL, Smash Hit, and Overcome.

All you have to do is crouch. That's it. Noticing a movement speed decrease and instantly crouching is not hard. This isn't like Huntress, who you actually have to DODGE. Nemesis quite literally can not hit you over objects you're crouching behind because of the way his hitbox works.
I have no issue with this. A 15% movement speed decrease is really easy to spot, and there's no thinking about it at all anyways, there's just "You slow down I crouch".
Still refusing to acknowledge that sometimes the animation bugs to *show him putting the tentacle away*.
"Just somehow notice when he slightly slows down for 0.5 seconds and crouch (and hope that killer ping doesn't dictate you get hit regardless) and if it shows him putting the tentacle away, just, uh, keep crouching anyway and hope for the best I guess."
Definitely a lot of fun and feels good to play against.

you think because of that they need to get kill switched? Its such a small thing that does not even make a huge impact for Oni or Neme. Just cause those bugs are there does not mean survivors dont escape. Its such a minimal problem and i cant beleieve someone is actually whining about it.
It's almost as if I place a higher priority on actually having fun than whether or not I escape.
It's interesting that you think a killer spending the last several months being bugged to randomly have no audio or animations, and sometimes play animations that are the opposite of what's actually happening, is a "minimal problem".

Old Dead Hard wasn't overpowered, it was a lot of fun mindgaming back and forth how people were going to use it. I would rather go against a full team running old Dead Hard, than go against a team all running Sprint Burst, Lithe, and Balanced Landing. It's so utterly miserable having people zoom away at the start of every single chase.
I think it speaks to the state of how boring every other exhaustion perk is that I would rather continue bringing DH in its current barely functional state, than use any of them.

Having a permanent 10% speed boost and aura reading is 100% game-breaking. On a 115% killer, BL ONE is enough to guarantee a down. That's the same speed as BL TWO and on top of that, it gives broken aura reading the denies mindgames, AND the killer has a power to slow down survivors even further.
Clown had the most game-breaking bug. Stop comparing that to an audio and visual bug that can still be countered if you have actual skill.
I mean, if you just spread out and do gens, you can still counter him. I doubt Clown with a 10% boost and aura reading is stronger than a double range Nurse stacking aura reading and expose perks.
I still have no idea why you're talking about whether or not something can be countered. An argument literally no one made in the first place.

Such as? What has been killswitched that wasn't game-breaking? Please enlighten me.
"Intolerable" how?
I am not going to explain to you how a killer having either no telegraphing or inconsistent telegraphing makes them intolerable to play against.

"Clown shouldn't have been killswitched because having permanent speed hacks and aura reading technically isn't gamebreaking"

Pretending? Oh honey no. I've faced several Nemesis players just today. There's no pretending here. If you know how movement speeds look from an outside perspective, once you get used to 115% killers, anything more than 5% slower than that will seem as if it was incredibly slow. Killers don't randomly slow down, and getting stuck on a loop looks noticably different from literally slowing down to your own speed.
If you can notice Hindered, you can notice something that's 5x slower than Hindered.
The bug isn't enough for a Killswitch. You do realize that Hug Tech is a bug, right? It can literally get Blight kills and hits that he wouldn't be able to get without it, and on top of that, Blight doesn't even need it to be the strongest killer in the game without factoring in add-ons. And yet Blight hasn't been killswitched at all. It takes something ridiculously broken for something to even be CONSIDERED for Killswitch. This isn't even broken.
You don't seem to understand that noticing a 15% decrease in speed *in less than a second*, *on top of* of the complete lack of consistency in how this attack is telegraphed, to the point that it sometimes looks like he's literally putting the tentacle away, is kind of ridiculous.
By the way, this is a developer that once disabled an entire map for like three months because breakable door didn't spawn.

I mean if they all did this just because of some random chance to get Pain + Storm combo... why not just make that the skillchecks stops when it drops below 90%? And then it can continue (unless you allready finished the gen or missed the skillcheck).
Why not just make Merciless last a flat 9 seconds?
-
"You gotta git gud by knowing when Nemesis is using his tentacle without any audio or animations by recognizing in 0.5 seconds that he's moving 15% slower and also somehow intuitively know the difference between him actually putting his tentacle away and the animation bugging to make only look like he's putting it away."

Killswitch is for GAME-BREAKING bugs. Every killer in the game currently has bugs. And every survivor has at least one animation bug, and some perks have bugs as well. Do you want to Killswitch the entire game?
This isn't game-breaking, it won't, and shouldn't, be killswitched.
######### has been disabled for far less than being "game-breaking".

I'm telling them to get good because they think the killer is currently uncounterable because of said bug. He's not, it quite literally is a skill issue. Asking for a Killswitch because of such an insignificant bug is deserving of a 'git gud'.
Literally never said he was uncounterable. You've been arguing against something that only exists in your head.
I said he was intolerable.

Nearly imperceptible? LOL.
In Tier 3, he slows down by 15%. That's massive. If you can't see that, you honestly don't deserve to be able to dodge him.
"It makes the killer intolerable to put up with"
Incorrect. A 3% speed decrease is noticable. Ever played against a Clown, or a Hindered addon and noticed how slow you were moving? This is five times more noticable. Pay more attention to the killer and you'll be fine.
You really need to stop pretending that less than a second is enough time to notice that he's moving 15% slower. That is not enough of a telegraph for an attack. Sometimes killers get stuck going around a loop. Sometimes they just slow down.
Noticing how slow you are moving while hindered is a hell of a lot easier to see then recognizing that Nemesis will occasionally move 15% slower for a split second.

Not defending it, just saying that it isn't enough for a Killswitch. 0.5 seconds is a very long time in DbD. You should be able to react to things at a faster speed than that. As long as you're paying attention, the big won't affect you.
It makes the killer intolerable to put up with, so no, I think it is enough to justify a killswitch.
On no planet is 0.5 seconds enough to notice a nearly imperceptible decrease in speed. Nemesis barely slows down at all while in tier 3 in the first place. What you're expecting from people is unreasonable.
Sometimes the animation is only partially bugged, so it looks like he's putting the tentacle away, before suddenly firing blue ######### out of his chest at you. The current state of the killer is one where there's no consistent way to read his primary attack. It's just a mess.

Ok, so in other words, you want to just revert Thanatophobia back to what it was, but describe it in a more complicated way 😂
The idea is to give it decent value for all killers, without giving maximum value to Legion and Plague for simply existing.
-
That's certainly a better solution than making it worthless for every killer except the two killers that it was already unbearable on.

Nemesis visibly slows down when using his power. That's all you need to see. I've played against three Nemesis players today and had no trouble with him.
No halfway decent Nemesis is going to just walk around with the tentacle readied. They're going to ready it and then immediately use it.
This might sound crazy, but maybe a nearly imperceptible decrease in speed for 0.5 seconds, isn't enough of a telegraph for an attack.
Before replying, please reflect on the fact that you're going to bat in defense of a killer's primary attack being bugged to have no audio or animations.
-
The last Resident Evil chapter gave us one of the most annoying killers in the game (who also has barely functional audio/animations), one of the least popular maps in the game (which was also disabled for like three months upon release), and a whole slew of performance issues that the game never quite recovered from.
So no, not terribly excited.

@PapiFelixPSN said:
No. Neither of those killers have game-breaking bugs. Stop blaming bugs for your own lack of skill.
Please explain how I can overcome a killer having literally no sound or animations for his attacks, with skill? Like, how do I react to a Nemesis using his tentacle when there is no audio or visual effect indication he's using it? Do I just crouch and weave at random, and hope for the best? Is that meant to be fun?

The Oni bug has been fixed I can confirm as I play him more than anyone else, he is fine currently. Nemesis I played 2 or 3 games with and seems fixed killer POV wise.
I don't think it was ever an issue in Nemesis' POV.
