That 3 seconds it tAkes you to bait a dead hard is the same as taking the time to hunt find and cleanse 5 totems. Okay buddy

Not the same, but it is equivalent i would say. You bait a Dead Hard, if there isn't you are fine, you now have to take the survivor, and bring him to a hook, if there is, the survivor may get to the next loop and you'll lose more time of chase, that the 3 remaining survivor will use in gens, bones, healings... Idk what is the average time of chase, and the average time you waste in downing a survivor and hooking, but i'll guess that it is a bit longer than 14 seconds. If you wanna do only gens, it is fine, maybe your teammates will cleanse some totems, maybe they'll get with the totems spawns in order to cleanse them if there is NOED, i still don't know what is the problem. Just do gens and get out, if there is NOED, get out faster, if there is not NOED get out less faster, is up to you, don't say it is unfair just because you don't like it.

  • Why Dead Hard is Unfair

First off I would like to get something straight if you are new to dbd and you need some time to get on your feet I understand. But if you are experienced and know how to play effectively then Dead Hard is scummy to use. That being said let me say my reasoning as to why it’s unfair, number 1 it’s hidden until a survivor has been hit, there is no way to know it’s coming except for to guess. (Don't say "just bait Dead Hard", because Why would i do something that doesn't benefit me and wastes chase time, especially if there is no DH)

It's just a perk dude, a perk over 90, and you can only have 4 at a time. I don't use it because i don't usually get to the EGC, but if i have to, why is that big of a deal? The killer will have 3 perks the whole game, and when the last gen pops, NOED comes into play, if you are experienced as a survivor, you know that it takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem, and there are only 5, spawning in the same places over and over again. "I don't wanna do bones", then don't complain if there is NOED at the end of the match, when the benefit for the team is to avoid it.

  • I had 3 hackers in 3 matches the last 2 days, the first one i was just "i'll just practice my aim with the Huntress", the second one, "this is a bit frustrating, but i'll keep going", the last one "this is a bit to fast for a heal, even with COH, and this survivor has DH and SprintBurst, and is jumping over BloodWarden... this is not so fun anymore". I've been playing since february/march 2017, and this is the first time i'm not confortable with the game, and i don't think i'll be playing for a long time.

  • I think that Pyramid Head's Final Judgement doesn't count for the achievement, not sure, but i think that you must use an ebony mory or Devour Hope (i got that one at the same time with the Hag adept i believe).

Hope i'm wrong and you can get that achievement :D

  • Infinite loading screen here (12 minutes), not any problem in the lobby, but when the match was starting. I was playing solo with Jake Park, Cross Platform on and with at least one Console/Stadia player on the match (don't know about the killer, but one survivor with Mikaela i think was console). I don't know if i can provide any more useful information, but there was 2 medkits and a flashlight (yellow one with Broken Bulb and Focus Lens), the other survivors where Bill, russian player by the cyrilic letters in his name, and the last one was a Meg if i remember correctly. The items were the flashy on the Meg, and the medkits on Bill (All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox no addons) and myself. I was using bandages and Butterfly Tape as Addons. (12 minutes later the match ended while i was writing this, so here is the rest)

Killer, also console, Cenobite, with Blight Serum and Wriggling Maggots, offerings, Cursed seed on the killer and Fresh Primose Blossom on miself.

I don't know if some of this can be useful information, but just in case, there it is.

Ty very much and much love!

Hey guys, Hope everyone is well? I am sorry to see the people leave DBD but I am just curious what do people think on the Boom Totems? I think they sound broken personally what do you guys think?

Hello there! I've faced a few matches against Mikaelas, and i've tried 3 tipes of builds, one totem related, one aura reading related, and one mixed, and the result is almost the same with all of them. My first build, on Nurse is Hex: Third seal, to blind them and protect the totems, Hex: Plaything to make them oblivious and make me sneaky, Knockout to make them invisible to their teammates and Deadlock, to prevent genrush. Most of the plaything hexes did remain till the end of the match, almost every match. Same with Third seal. Average 3 to 4 kills and 9-10 hooks. The second one, on Huntress is Iron Maiden (to make them scream), BBQ (double BP and aura reading), Lethal Pursuer (to see their auras at the start of the match) and Shadowborn, because i'm dumb and now im addicted to that shiet. The result is the same, the aura reading perks did the same as usual, if you are aware that they have boons, you just have to stomp on them and that is the end of the boon, they will bless one or two more times across the match, but is not a big deal. And the last build on Piggy, is Ruin (:D), STBFL (it's a Piggy after all), Blood Warden (aura reading at the end of the match and sorry Dwight, the door is locked, but you can rest in this hook) and bitter murmur (aura reading at the end and when a gen is done), and it was just the same. Ruin remained almost to the end of the match, and the RBT make the survivors to lose time on one more thing.

I don't think boon totems are a big thing to deal with, they were insanely broken in the PTB, now you can deal with them, not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

Have a great day and much love <3

  • Yesterday I played a match on de Dead Dawg Saloon, and the survivor that left the game alive, did it with a RBT active on her head, but she told me she removed it, but it was bugged and, i believe her, so the RBT fulfilled its purpose, to delay the game, to make the survivors search on the jigsaw boxes. There were not headpops, but as pig, with the little strength she has, anything that delays the match is a good thing, so i think it hasn't been kill switched because of it works, even when it's not working.

So, I just took a look at the official merc store and to my horror there are T Shirts for sale.

Did you know that the energy required to produce just one cotton T Shirt is about 494 kWh!

That's notably more than the average NFT transaction.

There are 32 T shirts for sale... That's 15,808 kWh!

If they sell just 200, and let's be honest they’ve probably sold far more, that would be 98,800 kWh! Comparable to the energy consumption of the average American home for 8 years!

This got me thinking. Considering we're all so concerned. Why don't we actually do something about it? Let's stop wasting precious energy posting about this on the forums, merely feeding into the footprint, and let's instead form a collective to fight back.

We will throw out our PCs, consoles and TVs. Get ridd of our games and phones. Cancel our contracts, our Netflix. But most importantly, we will throw all of our T Shirts in the bin.

If we all do that, we can more than compensate for the footprint BHVR is creating with this NFT nonsense!

Look at how many people are showing concern. Look at all the threads. All it takes is us. Genuinely we can do it. We just have to stand by our principles and give up on some conveniences. Let's go!

Please add yourself to the list below to join the collective!

Does the government knows about this? That selling shirts thing should be a federal crime. XD

Dear fellow friends, we all know that the game balance is terrible at the moment and that's impossible to win a trial properly without camping and tunneling at high MMR.

But i want to tell you that we are also responsible of this situation 😐️. Indeed, using cheap mechanics as camping and tunneling just to get our win (3k+) or to secure a draw (2k) is a terrible idea as statistics are artificially tweaked to 2k average doing so.

So here is what we HAVE TO do :

    • Start a trial keeping in mind that you cannot win against survivors at your real MMR level
    • Never camp and nor tunnel
    • Do not use NOED
    • Play fair no matter what and try to get as many hooks as possible
    • If you have the choice between a fresh survivor or a survivor that has already been hooked, go for the fresh one
    • Accept to loose 80%+ of your trials

This will result in terrible stats and show how unbalanced the game is. If the average kills is between 0,8 and 1,2, BHVR will see how terrible is the killer's experience and that they have to fix the balance.

ATM, we, the killer community, are comforting the devs in their idea that the game is pretty balanced as it is (50% kill rate).

If we continue to camp and tunnel to get our usual 2k+, we will have to stick with this garbage game design for years as the developers will never hear our voice.

If as a killer you want BETTER and FUNNIER trials, start to loose most of them and play as the game should be played : patrolling gens and chasing survivors.

DO NOT CAMP, DO NOT TUNNEL.

    Hello there, first time here.

TLDR- Do not lose on purpose, the only one that will be fooled is yourself.

I just wanted to say that although I understand your point, I don't think this will help at all. Most people just want to have 2 to 3 matches and have fun, and don't care about losing or winning, but i don't think that you cannot win against survivors with your MMR level, i mean, it's hard, you may sweat a bit, but you can always win a match, even agaist better survivors. A sole survivor makes a mistake, and then, the match is on your side. Tbh, i never camp, and i try not to tunnel excluding some mistakes again, on the survivors side, or some players i enjoy chasing, i never use NOED and i tend to end the matches with 10 to 12 hooks. Why would i accept to lose? I would never want to lose any match, when i enter the realm, i have the win in my mind, and if i lose, then i go to the next match, or i change my killer to get a little fresh in mind.

The real problem here is that before MMR was a thing, you can find survivors with 10 hours paired with survivors with 10k, and finding the weak link was easyer, so you got a real advantage at the start of the match. The game is not real balanced this days, but at least, is more fair. You can accept that, or you can complain that you no longer will be able to have 50 wins in a row like, or 100 or 200 like Otz or Dowsey have done, because the more the MMR is going forward, you'll find that you'll play more agaist people of the same level as you. But to lose on purpose, in order to fool the system, only will fool you. You won't get "BETTER and FUNNIER" matches, you'll abuse new and casual players only to fulfill your ego and some arrogant desires. It's a normal thing if you want to think that you are the better, but to play as the worst in order to get to that confortable place, is the same as saying "Lakers should only play against 3rd graders in order to win more and have better and funnier matches". Don't be like that, try to win, not to lose, put your sweat and your soul in the game, and the reward will be a lot better when you win a hard match against god-like survivors than when you win against Baby-Dwights hiding in lockers.

I cannot agree more with your last line. Do not camp, do not tunnel, play fair :D

Sorry for the brick (i don't know if that's the current way to say it, in my country we use brick as a long text :D)

Much love, and have a great day <3
