When I reference a SWF group, I don't mean random people grouping up for fun, or even friends on discord just having fun without a serious need to win. Against groups like that, winning for a killer is still possible. Harder than it should be just from simple problems like coordinated knowledge of who needs to go rescue the guy on the hook, or one spine chill equating to 4 because that knowledge is insta-shared.
Even without trying hard, the game was not remotely designed with balance in mind if you include SWF.
And against SWF groups actually trying hard, which most are at red ranks, no killer can win outside of top tier. Nurse & Spirit, because they can apply so much pressure and down so quickly. If you aren't getting multiple downs and hooks per minute, against a good SWF group you will lose.
I still disagree, even if we grouped up in red ranks, and tried hard, we got beaten by killers like scream, huntress, doctor or hilli billy. It is harder for sure, but it is also harder for every survivor to play if the killer runs ruin or pop or bbq etc.

no ones going to report you for afking as killer unless theyre a complete ass
Actually that is a reason to report someone, because if you wait sometimes about 5-10 min to find a lobby, and after you load in the killer is afk AND you depip, because you won't get any Altruism and Boldness points it just sucks that you have to spent something about 5-15 minutes in this match, just to doing generators without a killer.

I mean if you’re gonna throw matches that’s on you. But just know that de-ranking won’t really help you out as matchmaking is at its worst so you’ll still be getting red ranks even at low ranks because the game is trash when it comes to matchmaking. I don’t see the point of going AFK. you should either switch killers or switch up perks or your playstyle, don’t make survivors have a boring game just because you’re having a bad day.
Thats not the whole truth, I think that a Problem is, that Killers, that get bored or something to bully low rank survivors, that just started to play the game. After those new survivors get bullied, camped and tunneled for a few games, they just deinstall the whole game and claim it as bad, because they never experienced a really fun experience with the game. Because of that there are not that many low rank survivors out there you could play with.

As usual, it's just dependent on SWF.
A full group of solo survivors? I'd say most matchups, it's balanced between killer and survivor.
A full group of SWF friends trying hard? Killer has effectively 0 chance, unless he's an extremely good Nurse / Spirit / Hag.
I can't speak for all SWF, but pretty often if I play in a SWF group, we still get killed, even from other killers, than you've mentioned. For example Hilly billy is a really strong killer if you can play him. Or actually pretty much every killer can get a 4k even against a swf, if he just knows what to do and or runs the right add ons or perks.
And btw. not every SWF is a group of people talking to each other etc. I sometimes play swf with people I don't really know, because there are pretty much survivors out there, that don't want to help at all. I had rounds, where I got chaised by the killer for 2-3 gens, got hooked for the first time and died on this hook, without the killer camping, becuase my mates didn't wanted to help me.
But sometimes there are rdm. survivors that play like they were in a SWF with you. That liturally try everything to get you off from the hook, to get the killer away from you, so don't blame everything on the SWF.

Killer is BY FAR the harder role to play. I consider myself a killer-main and yet I consistently make it into red ranks as a survivor whenever I do their missions. Meanwhile I'm struggling just to even make it into red ranks as a killer, the last time I did that was a year ago. It's truly absurd how easy it is for survivors to pip and escape.
Probably you are just getting bad killers, or you are just good, because I know some people that have about 600 h in the game, playing survivor most of the time, but still not getting to rank one even once, because they get camped, tunneled or just killed by a killer that knows how to play the game.

"I don't play killer that much"
"I often get 4k's"
Thanks for confirming you're facing newbs. The fact is, you have no room to speak on this unless you DO play a both sides, as much as the other. Another fact is that the balance of the game shifts. When you're a newer killer facing equally new survivors, killer is easy as pie. The more experienced the survivors are, regardless of how experienced the killer is, the more control the survivors have. Period. End of story.
Not really, I am at rank 12 right now, as killer and I often get machtes with two red ranks one purple one and one green one, and I still can get the 4 k pretty easy, sometimes with just one gen done. And tbh, those matches are not really fun, they are boring, it is much more fun, if it is a close match, where you don't know if you will get any kills at all, where the survivors know what they are doing and not just run into every wall, or every little mindgame you make.
I am at Rank one Survivor and I know how hard it is, to play against a Killer that knows how to play. You need to get better as killer thats all, same for survivor you won't get a good chaise for example, if you don't know where the pallets and windows are on the map, same goes for killer, if you don't know how to chaise, how to use your ability, how to break loops you won't get the 4 k, but thats alright, because if they'd buff killers more, than a killer who knows how to play, would just kill everyone and get super bored, because there would not be any competition.

I don't agree at all. Trapper is pretty balanced. Of course you can counter his traps with dead hard, but that is pretty much the only way you can counter them. But there are counter perks for more than one killer. You can counter spirit with iron will. Doctor with calm spirit. Especially you can counter just one trap every 40 sec if you don't run. And the trapper has some pretty strong add one, like the one that his traps reopen or if you close a trap you get injured.

This is pretty much the most fair version of DS that can exist imo. Let me know
1. Only lasts 30 seconds at Rank 3, but never goes down during a chase.
2. Deactivates upon repairing a generator, entering a locker or being fully healed.
3. Only one DS is active at a time.
That would not be fair, imagine this situation:
The killer gets a survivor, the last ten gets popped the survivor is being hooked. The survivor runs DS and Adrenaline, he is healed now even though he is on the hook => his DS would not work anymore
Killer runs noet. Survivor gets unhooked, killer camped and hits him, survivors ds does not work because he was healed for one sec. How is that fair?
And if you want to deactivate lockers than you also have to change DS that the timer would not run out if you are being slugged, else the killer would just slug him for 30 sec and pick him up.

I agree, I don't play killer that much, but pretty often if I play I get 4k's it is really not that hard. And tbh I never had any problems with DS, I had some moments were I ate a borrower time, but that were moments were the survivors played it well. Of course I also lost pretty hard, especially against those cute swf, but even those matches were fun to play. I also don't understand those camping killers... I can't imagine it to be fun just to stand there and stare at the survivor. Maybe a mechanic that checks if the killer is near by to the hooked survivor than the timer of the hooked one is going back slower would also be an idea.

Camping can be a viable strategy during the egc or if you know every one is at the hook.
To ban camping out right would result in a lot of people stop playing killer and queue times would go way up.
If they banned certain types of camping, like the example you gave, it would end up with false bans happening and again, lots of killer quiting.
Actually the queue time would go up for survivors but go down for killers. If I want to play killer I need to wait about 10-20 min to find a Lobby.
I think maybe not a ban, but the killers should not get rewarded for camping, they often get a pip for such rounds and often end up at a high rank, without any proper skills. It liturally destroys the fun of the game. Especially if you are new to the game, it is pretty likely that you won't play the game anymore, if you get camped and or tunneled, a few games in a row. I even know some old players, that dropped the game, because the camping and tunneling just freaked them out. Because it makes no point of waiting to find a lobby and load in, just to get camped and tunneled of the first hook to die in the first 5 minutes. And yeah sure, people may argue with "While the killer is camping the other ones can do gens", but still this one person who is getting camped and tunneled, has no fun, and the only thing he can do is bash his space bar, so he can get time for the team and afterwards watch the rest of his team having the same fate as he had.

Don't camp, than you won't have any of the listed problems. You still could get this BT which you described but just eat it, and play. It is really not that hard for killer. I didn't play killer since like 2 months ago and now I do to calm down, because it is pretty easy. Most of the games I play with higher rank people than I am but I still often get a 4 k, even without broken add ons or mories.
About ur DS nerfe:
Locker-chage: Kilers would just slug you after they down you, your DS would be pretty useless
Health-state: Also bad Idea. Lets imagine you run DS with Adrenaline, you get hooked, the last gen gets done, the killer runs NOET and camps, because last gen is done. Now after you get unhooked without BT the killer hits you with his noet, you are on the ground, without your DS because you were healed for one sec, when you got unhooked
-
I don't understand why so many killers are complaining. Like I am a survivor main, that had no idea how to play killer since like two months ago, and pretty much every game I played was a 4 k or at least a 3 k except if I played against a good swf or a hard killer like nurse. And even those rounds were kind of fun, because I learned something. Like just last week I played a game as huntress in rank 12 and played against a swf with 2 red ranks , a green one and purple one, I got the 4 k easily. They had one gen done. I did not camp, I had no broke perks, I had no spectacular add ons or a mori. You just need to practice a little longer and you will have no problems. Especially I don't understand how people can complain about BT and DS, those perks do ONLY work if you tunnel the person that was on the hook. If you go for the other person, those two perks won't bother you in the slightest. Of course I also already felt the DS into my back, but I think I only got about 2 DS's to eat in my intire killer time, and about half of the matches I played somebody was running it, especially if the people you play against run those perks and you don't camp or tunnel, they've wasted two of their perk slots.
About the DS nerfe with the locker, I would not like that at all, because then the you couldn't counter a tunneling killer, after you were hooked, because after you would get downed he would just slug you until you have no DS anymore.
Pretty much same Problem with the health state. Lets assume you run DS and Adrenaline, you get hooked, the last gen gets finished, the killer has NOET, now after you would get unhooked from sbd who does not have BT you could be downed and you couldn't do anything about it coz ur DS is deactivated because ur Adrenaline healt you.

I think you underestimate the ability of killers to get downs. There have been literal countless situations where I have gone after the person who unhooked, hooked them, then found the guy who was unhooked, downed them and still gotten DSed. I didn't tunnel and still got punished. That shouldnt happen. Or the situation of the person unhooking in front of the killer without borrowed time. Of course im gonna down the dude who just got unhooked, but im gonna leave them there and chase their friend to create more pressure.
Also, survivors should rely on their teammates to help them when slugged. I don't think slugging is really a problem. Its actually the same reason why I think camping isn't a problem. Usually the only reason people get camped is they either pissed off the killer or their team is too close to them so the killer has no reason to leave, so in that situation camping is the correct play to make.
With slugging, you might see an opportunity to down a person, then chase their friend. Slugging is supposed to be the counterplay to DS. If the survivors make a dumb unhook, you down the guy the correct play to make is to leave him there and chase the other guy. The survivor jumping into the locker removes any counter play to the perk and literally makes the survivor invincible until the timer fades. And as stated before, the stun time on DS is about a second longer than it should be because of old Enduring.
When the survivor jumps into the locker they aren't avoiding being tunneled, they are using DS as a weapon against the killer. If they were actually being tunneled the killer would pick them up even if they downed them normally. Them jumping into the locker is them knowing that if they don't the killer wont pick them up, and if that is the case... are they really being tunneled? If the killer leaves then someone can go pick them up and they weren't tunneled, if the killer just stands there and waits out the timer, well same reason as camping, either they pissed off the killer or its the correct play to make.
TL DR: Jumping in a locker is the survivor realizing that they aren't being tunneled but they want to use DS anyway, which isn't what the perk is meant to do and doesn't fit thematically or design wise.
I don't agree coz liturally it does not madder what you do, you always piss of the killer. Like I get camped often, becuase I had a good chaise, or I was gen rushing to hard, or because I carrie a flashlight, there are soooooooo many reasons, why the people are camping me. What shall I do about that? Stand still so the killer can just kill me? Not touch any gens, chests or any other things in the game? Should I not use my flashlight, coz I don't want to piss him off? I liturally don't understand those players. And again DS are just 60 seconds that is not that much of a problem if you don't camp. When I ran DS I had pretty much never the oportunity to use it, becuase the killer just left me on the ground, so if something they should buff it, becuase it is just annoying if you get punished for your team mates dumb activites.
And slugging is a pretty big problem in my eyes, because it takes away this time for the survivors, to finish their action and go for the safe and those people near the slugged person are in danger, because they also do not have the time to get away or hide, or whatever because the killer is just gonna go for them after he downed the first Person. The other Problem with this is, even if you pick a person up, the killer does know where he left him usually and comes back to slug him again, in worst case he even sees the peron who just picked him up and followes this person, then there are two persons slugged. I liturally don't enjoy slugging rounds at all. I understand if you slug like at the end, because you don't want the last person to get the hatch or whatever, but if somebody slugs the whole match it is just annoying to play against and it makes no fun.
-
Meg Thomas: Started to play, when there were only 4 survivors and I liked her the most, so I just stick with her
The Executer/Dermogogogoggogogo/Huntress: I like the ability and don't think he is to anoying to play against
-
I don't understand you problem with DS, it does only work 60 seconds, after the person is unhooked, that means that you need to tunnel the person pretty bad, if you get to eat the DS, because most of the time, if you don't camp you will not down the person within the next 60 seconds after he was unhooked, becuase he will probably start to run, after he is unhooked. If you have such a big problem with DS just go for the person who unhooked the hooked Person, he does not have DS activated normally.
And Lockers are pretty much the only thing that survivors can do against being sluged because the killer is afraid of eating DS.
-
I don't agree at all. Like many already said, those perks lituraly, only help the survivors if you camp and or tunnel them. So if you don't do that you are fine and they wasted two of their perk slots.
Edit: without those perks I think many matches would, if not the hole game would be unplayable, because the killer would literally kill you than after the first chaise, because after that he could easily tunnel you, hook you again because of no BT and no DS
-
Actually the only thing, that really bothers me, is that he can shoot pretty much instandly. I could live with the small terror radius, even if it is kind of broke with monitor, but I really hate, that he doesn't have any kind of sound or anything if he wants to shoot, like the huntress does this sound, like she would lift something heavy. Because that means, that you have to look behind you the whole time, and even if you do you still can get hit, because he can shoot pretty much instandly.
-
I don't have the problem u do, I play survivor main and I am pretty much always at rank one, of course there are those moments, where u have super bad luck and get into rounds with people that just kill their selfes right of the bet, or dc, but the bigger issue are camping or tunneling killers, because u really can't do ######### about them, and that are rounds where u derank and think about deinstalling the game.
-
I am a sourviver main, and to be honest, I sometimes play swf with people I don't talk to, because it is better to play with people that actually do generators, not like some of those trolling survivors out there, so how should the game know if you are talking to each other or not? That would be unfair if you would get punished for nothing.
Especially how would it be fair for all of those lil cute solo queuers, that come into a Lobby with 3 swf, they also could be moried.
And to be honest even killers without a mori have pretty good chances to get a 4 k even against a swf team. It is harder, but is more than possible especially because most of the time if it is a 4 swf they try to safe each other pretty hard, and don't do gens most of the time, because they try to tank a hit etc. and die because of that.
