  • I think the fact that you want to sit and mend in front of Legion just shows how crappy they were.

  • They need to drastically reduce the grind.

And new killers need to be fun to play and competent, not doodoo tier like the last handful. Out of the last six killers released, maybe two are viable.

  • Bubba is a very weak killer. Against decent survivors, sometimes camping is the only option unless you want an eight minute match where all four escape.

Yesterday I had a match on Blood Lodge where a survivor had three pallets in the middle of the map. Two safe, one 50/50 where I was able to bloodlust and get a hit. But those pallets were right next to the basement, and on their left was the fun bus. Any time I chased three of the survivors, they ran to this area. Imagine how long I would have to chase in order to wear down just this one part of the map. Well you don’t need to imagine, I did it, they did three gens while I chased a Laurie around all of that. And after those three pallets, the fun bus, running the shack window and the god pallet, the fun bus was close to an LT tike with another pallet, and then they dead harded to the main two story building with a window and another 50/50 pallet and that’s where I finally downed her. Literally the only two places where counterplay and mind games were possible, and I succeeded at both, but still lost three gens (basically four) because the tiles are so strong and Bubba is so weak.

The basement was in the main two story building so you bet I hooked her there and camped her to death. And guess what? Survivors are so overly altruistic, they popped the fourth gen soon after the hook but then they stopped doing gens so try and save and I got a 3k 😆

  • No thanks, 3v1 on these maps is a lot easier than 4v1.

  • Sprint burst

    BT

    Windows

    Kindred

Spine Chill (I hate how it invalidates stealth killers, and it just makes for boring gameplay)

  • Because survivors will complain about anything that makes the game more difficult. Remember, these are people who legitimately think a Kobe means they get a free escape. I played a SWF yesterday afternoon full of people chaining together head on stuns and flash bangs and having a good time. So I played like a jerk too and tunneled one out and got a 3k.

Surprise surprise they flood my messages with party invites and messages whining about how I played and how it was “cheap”.

  • BHVR doesn’t play their own game. This is obvious when you look at the mountain of glitches that have been released in the past, as well as numerous completely broken perks they have added.

If they actually knew their games, perks like CoH or pre-nerf MoM would have never seen the light of day.

  • In the current meta, unless you’re using a high tier killer, you pretty much have to play like a jerk. I typically will tunnel one person out of the game and make it a 3v1.

  • We all know CoH is broken and has shifted the meta of the game. But it’s not going anywhere. A good nerf they can give boons, though, is to kill their verticality. A SS/CoH boon placed high on some maps is just BS for killers to deal with.

  • I think I am at 28 out of 30.

The problem with it is the stupid requirement that you stay put in a small area until the injured survivor comes to you. Typically when someone gets injured, I’m on a gen or cleansing a totem or just looking for a gen. By the time the survivor escapes the chase or gets hooked, I’m somewhere else. So to get stacks, I’d have to just sit in the same area likely doing nothing and hope that the survivor either escapes the chase or they get unhooked and run right to me instead of letting the rescuer heal them.

  • If they give the main consoles cross progression then they lose out on revenue from us buying content and MTX again.

  • Buffing other perks to the level of already broken perks isn't really an answer. It's as silly as when people say SWF is broken and solo Q sucks, so lets buff solo survivors to SWF levels. DH is as strong as it is because of map design and game mechanics. On some maps you get such good tiles, it's way too easy to loop a killer in perfectly safe tiles and then the second the killer bloodlusts you or mind games you, what do you know you get a free second chance because of your perk. It's bad enough to have one perk like this, why should we have four or five or however many exhaustion perks exist?

Personally I think SB is great, as is DH. Overcome is also very good, you get a ton of distance. I also like Lithe. But I actually don't run any exhaustion perks anymore. I am not a very good looper and I still have no problems giving teammates at least a decent chunk of time when I am in a chase.

yes but the problem with that is well 99% of all killers would vote no and take an almost guaranteed win

And there's nothing wrong with that. But there is something wrong with "oh hey it's Nurse/Blight/Bubba/Pinhead/Forever Freddy or "killer has Ruin" and hey one of us will DC and we will cancel the match.

Ok cool give up lol they will have to buff killers or the game will die. Also your reply literally ignored the part about buffing. I am saying they need to and feel like you don't have a concept of this but I am not the one making the choices I am giving an opinion. One you clearly don't agree with cause you are here only to cry and complain. Bye bye.

What exactly am I crying about? If either of us are crying, wouldn't it be you? Mr "solo queue is too hard!!!1"

OK so you did read the part about having the killers buffed as well? Also good for you for being solo just because you are ok with it does not mean everyone finds it fun. I can't count the number of times I get placed with potatoes and die because of it. Solo q is hell most of the time and not worth playing if you are a higher MMR survivor. I AM SAYING SWFS ARE GOING NO WHERE AND IF YOU NERF THEM THEY WILL LEAVE. EITHER BUFF SOLO Q AND KILLERS OR YOU WILL NEVER HAVE BALANCE. READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE COMMENTING ON HALF OF IT GOD!

My reply literally addresses the point about buffing solo and killers. Hint: it’s not going to happen.

Again, buff solo survivors, and enjoy waiting ages to be stomped by a meta sweat killer, or enjoy obliterating the bot killers they have to put in the game to account for all the killers who leave.

Ok but what would you do then? Take away SWFs? Good by most survivors because solo q is hell on earth. I am sorry but the problem is you either balance around everyone being a SWF or your game will never be truly balanced. If you can't handle playing against SWFs then don't play killer because they will never go away. As I said you will never get rid of SWFs so you either buff solo q and killers or you will never have a balance to the game. Killers need a buff to deal with the Swat SWFs which is not all SWF groups but if you buff the killer you destroy an already terrible solo q.

I mostly solo queue and it’s just fine. People overrate how bad solo queue is because they’re used to easy mode SWF or they have one bad match that ruins their view of the day.

BHVR has had years to balance the game and haven’t done it. I laugh any time someone recommends they buff solo and killers. It won’t happen.

And sure you can say that if you nerf SWF then you kill the game but the same can be said for buffing solo survivors. What’s going to happen is anyone who doesn’t use meta killers will stop playing killer and you’ll be waiting ages to find a lobby where you’ll face Nurse or Blights nonstop. Have fun.

  • Nah, survivors will abuse it. Even if you only make it an option after someone disconnects, a SWF can alternate disconnects and they can force matches to end any time games don’t go their way or they face a killer they don’t like. A five minute ban is much quicker than playing a match.

It could only work if the killer vote is mandatory. So the killer has to vote yes for the match to end.

Again you are punishing a group of friends who want to play together? I get that they can be hard to face but the idea that punishing a player for playing with friends is just insane. If you want to kill a player base that is already leaving then sure punish people for having friends to play with. Balance the game around survivors in SWFs not try to nerf the SWFs. I don't get why a killer can't change what killer they would like to play when looking at the group. Honestly comms will never go away and so they need to just balance the game around having them and give the solo q comms so they can be just a sweaty but then buff the majority of killers to give them even a chance to kill survivors. Lets not nerf but buff.

You can’t balance the game around SWF because killers are already powerless against SWF. I can’t imagine playing every match where the survivors have SWF potential even if they are four solo players.

  • The game is already losing players. Limiting people to one friend will just make it worse.

I have always been a fan of the idea where you limit perk options for each extra person in a SWF, since being in a SWF gives you free access to the information many perks give you. So solo players and duos get 4 perks. Three stacks get three perks each. And a full SWF only gets two perks each.

  • A token system doesn’t fix them. Even if you give them just three tokens, that’s twelve potential uses per game. The way it should be is the way that a perk like Blast Mine works. You do specific amounts of a gen and you get to boon a totem. It doesn’t have to be as much as Blast Mine takes. Hey let’s give hex perks tokens too I guess.

  • Weird, I must have missed the meta changing perk that came with Sudoku. Also, you can’t compare meta killer perks and meta survivor perks because all killers play differently. What is meta on Nurse isn’t meta on Trapper. Survivors on the other hand are just skins, they all play the same.

Not to mention survivor is the much easier role. You can run four non-meta perks with any survivor and be fine. Meanwhile if I play Trapper and run four weaker perks, it’s going to be a rough game.

Lastly, CoH is still a great perk. One survivor runs it and all four survivors have unlimited heals. Not to mention the time it makes killers waste looking for them.

  • Agreed. It’s still a huge benefit to the team with no real drawback. And the time it takes for a killer to find and cleanse it is time that killers don’t have in the current meta.

  • “Hey killers, please stop playing good perks so we can gen rush you and teabag as we leave”.

Why should a perk be countered just cause someone is lucky enough to be running another perk? That makes no sense to me. How come hex perks are driven almost completely useless just because a survivor brings Counterforce?

I'm not saying perks shouldn't counter other perks at all, I'm saying your argument for an unfair, busted perk existing shouldn't be "well THIS perk counters it, so it's fine."

NOED isn’t a busted perk. It requires you to lose all five gens and have survivors not do the totems, and you get one shot downs until they find and cleanse the totem.

Yes it sucks that you can have little to no interaction with a killer all game, or run a killer most of the game, and get one shot downed, but that’s part of the game. It also sucks to have a stealth killer completely rendered useless by Spine Chill.

Lots of perks counter other perks in the game. Run one to counter NOED. This is an issue with a lot of survivors, they want the game easier, but they don’t want to adapt how they play.

Perks shouldn't be countered by other perks, and there shouldn't be perks you feel like you have to run.

Huh? Of course perks should counter perks.

  • NOED is fine as is. There are three perks that make it very easy to find and cleanse all the totems.

  • Three gens done, one person dead, everyone else hooked once. Not bad for a trash tier killer like Bubba.

    1. Survivors punish killers for camping and tunneling by doing gens. This is 100% fail proof. Killers succeed at this strategy because survivors don’t play smart.
    2. You don’t have to run DS and BT. I solo queue and I don’t run any exhaustion or anti-tunneling perk. I run CoH, Detectives Hunch, Windows, and whatever the new guys perk is that reveals your aura and gives you 10% heal boost. Do gens, knock out the totems to stop NOED, and escape. **** around, and find out.
  • It depends on what the other survivors are doing, and how long the DS user can run the killer.

If the other survivors knock out gens and the DS user can run decently, then that user will likely still go down again and will likely still die, but it's pretty much guaranteed to be a loss for the killer. People need to let go of the idea that if they equip an anti-tunneling perk, that means they should escape. What an anti-tunneling perk should do is pressure the killer to not tunnel, by punishing them for doing so. But again, it's up to other survivors.

Look at it like a camping Bubba. Survivors have two options, they can knock out gens and sacrifice one of the four, or they can mess around and give the Bubba a 2-4k.

  • Trapper, pretty easily. By the time you set up traps, gens are flying. Unless you’re against a team of not so great or sweaty survivors, your only hope is pretty much always a three gen and that’s boring for everyone.

  • To be honest, if they removed the perk tiers, I don’t even think they’d need to overhaul blood points awarded or add blood hunts. Removing tiers would represent a massive, massive reduction in the grind. As it stands, it takes thousands of hours of playing to max out everyone and get all perks on everyone.

And it’s not as if people who enjoy the game will stop playing once they finish the grind. I think hardcore players have their builds and play the game because they enjoy it. They won’t care that they have no more perks to buy.
