DELETED RESPONSE. I dont care. Sorry, but this is too much for too long. GG DBD. GG.

Devs fixed the matching and now it plays like it should! Great job, devs!

If BE doesn't fix matchmaking based on level and perks with tiers then DCing and raging will continue forever and do you blame them?
Not sure why it's like this after three years. Well, it just shows they don't know how to do it. Things are a lot simpler than people think. Now its just put anyone in a match as fast as possible roughly based on rank. BE doesn't want to do an aggregate of rank and perks with tiers.
They truly don't know how much damage they are doing to the game and community. I agree if they did a simple study of why people rage and DC would tell them they are losing massive amounts of money.
Dont talk to the devs but the business suits and getting them to know devs leaving it like this are causing a massive net cash loss as people are leaving. Currently its covered and bandaged by DLCs. Then and only then would you get a real change that is good for everyone. Maybe a few different devs but better for the game and community.

High ranks just use the stairs and drop down to loop forever. I know the devs are not good players and it shows. Oh well, what to do but move on to another game.

Blur out the names, don't mention the names in your post. Naming & Shaming other players is against the rules of the forum.
Just letting you know.
If you want to report them, do so in game. You can also submit a support ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
(reporting chat stuff in-game is better, though).
Thanks for the link. Since I didn't submit it via the ingame BHVR said they couldn't do anything as they need the complete chat logs. I understand this. They got back to me very quickly and let me know to do it in game and why.
Thanks Sairek!

Well, well, well, it just shows that rank resets will never go away as no one really knows why they exist except to push more people together for faster wait times?... That kills new player's experience and they know it. I don't buy the whole rusty player just came back excuse. They will lose a few games and depip. Period. Now that I have played awhile and got some experience and perks it doens't matter as much to me. Oh, and it makes people have to grind a lot more so more playing to get BP. ahhh I see.

Cheaters are rarer than you'd think, same goes for lagswitchers, since an unstable connection is not that uncommon and you might have taken bad net for a lagswitcher.
Anyway if you think someone is lagswitching you, i'd suggest you to record your games and report.
In-game reports are mandatory. You can send any additional evidence (screenshots/videos) with the players profile link to the support under https://support.deadbydaylight.com/.
I agree. After 100+ games I have only found one lag switcher. It only lagged to a halt and then someone was downed every time. It was so bad everyone just DC'd one right after another because it was so obvious. Luckily I haven't noticed any hackers.

Adrenaline is a crazy powerful perk. Can't tell you how bad it is to see survivors just perk up and speed run with 100% health. Even if you get to them and hit them once it's just not enough to put them down. As a survivor I love it.
Why not return the survivor back to the original health state after the boost is done. If they have been hit and were hurt before then it puts them to the ground after the boost. I like it.
-
Survivors have more than enough to win and save themselves. We killers love when you come back because you don't want to leave anyone behind. It's just not realistic to save everyone even if you want to. How fun would that be for killers? That's sweet of you for looking for a way to win against another viable solution killers count on.
Killers have it hard enough. Just try being a killer a few times especially when you are a rank 15 killer going against rank 1-10 or survivors 5 ranks below you because you can bring friends in or matchmaking is crap. Why is this bad? They have better experience and perks. We count on camping and tunneling and it works 90% of the time! It's like saying survivors shouldn't camp/hide while waiting for the killer to leave so they can get someone off the hook or looping over and over again. It's tools you need and use.

Dang, I apologize as I didn't know things have been bad this long. I did read about the new servers and the new matchmaking. I have a bad feeling about survivor teams with top tier players attached to their low tier friends being toxic to killers. Heck it happens now. Guess it doesn't matter as they can down rank or wait to play next month. I assume this has been going on since the beginning... it's a tough nut to crack and figure the best way to go about it.
After doing two matches like this out of ten or so as a killer, I had that sinking feeling as one survivor had all the moves and perks. One game turned out to be a rank 4. At the end a survivor said it was his friends as he was rank 20 helping out. SO that was 4, 11, 11, 20 against my rank 15 killer. The other was 5,6,10,17. I was floored to say the least! The way the first top brackets just mess with the killer is pure toxic. lol It's like when I play against a new player but I dont try to be so mean. Mostly. ;)
Ok, ok.. Finally, I took a deep breath and stared at my coffee. All my research on these issues tell me this IS the way it is gonna be for awhile and we all had better except it. I had to decide to either keep playing this or move on. I ended up buying all the DLCs on sale! LOL
Thanks Jdsgames

Bait idk where I happened to get that from:
"Currently, I don't disconnect to find better latency but some of these wifi-killer-potato connections are ridiculous. Bro, you playing in your Honda in the McDonalds parking lot? AGAIN!?!? I really don't want grandpa, or the microwave, or the massive usage of someones bandwidth killing the experience of the game for the rest of us.
We all have been there going around a corner and being downed wondering WTH?!?! Only to find yourself back inside the room facepalming the internet-potato-killer.... want fries with that?!?! LOL "
Which as stated do you know that there are hundreds of other factors in play when ping is involved. In many cases even with dedicated servers you are looking at ~60+ms of ping. So you sit here and complain about 100ms? Which since you clearly contracted for this field you would know most internet in the U.S. alone is subpar the speeds in most of the third world countries getting onto the internet now. So your ignorance shows blatant disregard to what actually factors into latency for a connection. Ignoring geological distance, the type of the connection on both the HOST and CLIENT (Killer and Survivor), and bandwidth limitations.
Now please do not reply as it seems you can't validate your own claims other than to make insults at these 'Wifi-Killer-Potatoes' playing DBD at McDonalds and myself for calling you out on the bait. However, I will say maybe just putting out the fact of having a ping selection would be decent disregarding the fact that anyone who has no clue what it does would be trying to select 0 ping.
As an Edit: Although, I don't want to profile you based on your post on the forum. However, using "Bro, you playing in your Honda in the McDonalds parking lot? AGAIN!?!? I really don't want grandpa, or the microwave, or the massive usage of someones bandwidth killing the experience of the game for the rest of us." does not sound like something a retiree would say.
Bro, I have a teenager and the vernacular rubs off. Sorry. And Yes, I am retired at forty-five (45) so chill about that. A great job and great investments will get you there. Do yourself a favor and research Dave Ramsey to start off with and never stop researching about retirement. A 401K will only get you so far.
I was being a bit too facetious about the latency as anything under 150 would be fine. ;) I still don't think 100ms would be unreasonable. If someone is beyond that depending on a multitude of technical and logistical reasons: distance, location, outages, etc, then I don't want to play with them. I'll wait in my own queue and it wouldn't bother anyone while I do.
I'm sure the new servers will handle things just fine.
Now only if they can fix the horrible matchmaking. Wow is that a sausage fest! I started keeping pictures of the ranks in the games but any search on Reddit will show this much easier than me posting. My last game had a 6, 5 15, 16 rank survivors with a level 17 killer! Poor killer got owned bad. Ouch! Makes for a bad experience for high rank players... or should I say low rank players.... or.. stupid rank naming convention. Really think they should reverse the tiers and make 20 rank the highest/best. Anyway, I digress...
SkeletalElite, That would be great if they did add it as I asked about!

"Bait"? Yes, I do and I am sure more than you ever will. I am retired from this lovely field as a contractor doing more than I could ever tell you.
Don't comment unless you actually have something worth saying. Or do you just have to listen to yourself type and watch your posts count go up? Little people and their keyboards. ;)

Who wrote the logic/code for matchmaking? Lets get some names on the chopping block... I mean some insight and answers! ;) I understand it's not easy, but hear me out because it's bad: d-ranking users every 13th of the month and they just eat new players when they come back and a few months. Sounds fun for them.... Not for us. Our fault for not playing more (i play more than just this game!) and paying more. Yes, i know. The DLCs are cheap and so worth it! Not complaining about cost. Keep charging me and making more content! Please! I love all killers. :D
And who in the hell picked rank 20 was the lowest and 1 the highest? When people see me play they say that's why you won because they are lower level than you. I tell them no.. its a rank. It may look "right" but sounds backwards. I try and tell them that ranks go down and levels go.... up? LMAO
The community here can help out and we know you could use the help.. I've seen the "matchmaking" and it leave a lot to be desired. I'm sure it's from the lacking infrastructure as it's P2P... Talk about a horrible decision to go with it in the first place. Save money, blah blah. Yep 20/20.
Simple logic to start with: aggregate the matchmaking by [rank] AND [perk(tier)]x[total number of perks], etc used. Use your languages/BI as you wish. Yes, this could go on and on and it's already complex enough, right?
I do understand a god at DBD doesn't need perks to do his/her nasty gameplay, but let's talk average humans to start out with. :P
Anyway, long rant and im sure all this will be sorted out when the servers come in September. So nevermind. lol

The ranking system with matchmaking is bad to say the least. I know it wont change but what do you do. Every 13th ranks are rest? Is that so the 1-10-/+ ranks can take a break and kill level 10+ survivors for a laugh at the expense of new/worst players? This really ruins the game and says a lot about the game/devs. Hey, I know Im not good and can't take the time to study the game and play a lot just to "get better".... if thats even possible! lol
Thing to do is just play a different game that handles the simple "ranks" and matchmaking issues right.
If any of this or all is incorrect then that just shows you how much I know! :D
