I am literally having the least amount of fun playing this game in the 600+ hours ive played as survivor but sure we should buff killers cause the power role of deciding whether if someone can have a good time or not doesnt have enough freedom.

people actually crying about not being able to leave survivors on the ground forever on end, holy ######### just ######### hook people, or hit the guy nearby you wanna hit and go back to the downed guy.

Getting four stacks on BBQ was the ultimate "I didn't win, but at least I accomplished something, so I had fun anyway."
The fact that they removed it from the perk without making building the system into the game itself does a pretty good job of telling you how little the Balance Team actually plays killer.
removing bbq and wglf stacks really killed peoples incentive to play the game in a more fun / fair way since people run it less often and its stacks arent incentivized. like when you see peoples auras you wanna go chase em, which made tunneling / camping much less an issue since killers would actually be able to leave the hook and find someone.

It was a move in the right direction to shakeup the meta, undeniably.
Meta shakeups mean little when they need to cover for the base-game mechanics being flawed.
truest statement ive read, I find that them changing the meta perks didn't fix the problem that the meta perks were originally covering and so now we have just found a new way to cover for them, and I still feel like even with somewhat different perks being used the game isnt anymore fun for having "shaking things up".

Just played a game on RPD against an artist that hooked someone, camped them to death while spamming birds, another person DCed, and she 4Ked with like 4 gens up and slugged me while looking for the 4th. This game is genuinely so ######### unfun with killer sweats and the best strategies being the most unfun. Survival rates at mid to low mmr in soloQ is around 25% and I don't think this game is fun anymore, no wonder there are way fewer amazing survivor mains, they either left for killer or left for good.

Please learn what a crutch actually is
Killers being able to get 1 kill in the endgame or more if survivors make mistakes isn't a crutch
Nor is using various endgame perks for a certain playstyle. Endgame is exciting, I'll take the occasional endgame build if it's a break from 4 slowdowns
Also what do you mean, The killer still has to down someone in the endgame to kill them - is that not by definition earned?
it is a crutch because players who get no hooks or any pressure come out with kills because people either A) are bored from ######### killer play and finally have something to do in the endgame, or B) get instadowns, gate blocks, insane pressure all in 1 moment because they cant do much else.
and on top of that the amount of throws i see from soloQ games because people try to help others escape in the endgame is because its either throw the match or secure a kill you never earned by camping and tunneling.
If you played ######### in the match as killer, you dont deserve a single ######### kill, the fact that that is controversial is straight up #########.

The biggest problem with the map is that like NONE of the pallets are loopable, its just constant killers avoiding stuns then 50/50 over and over till you die.

I think this is it, as much as people don't care about it and prefer to blame it on salt.
Under the old Rank system sure, there were D/C's, but nowhere near what I'm seeing now (in my experience anyways) and I play Solo Q exclusively. It's been particularly exacerbated by Patch 6.1. Fact is, BHVR's matchmaking is absolutely awful for Solos. Almost every decent perk that made a huge difference for Solo Q players were entirely gutted to help Killer's deal with SWF's better. They deactivated end game perks for us that used to maybe allow us to get a clutch escape or clutch saves. Every change has discouraged altruism and team work in Solo Q meaning you can rely on your team mates even less than before, as more and more we're seeing selfish builds/playstyles. They made keys useless, nerfed the hatch- most Killers released have been high mobility, range or teleporting so if you're the last survivor, getting an Exit gate is basically impossible.
Solo Q is so miserable at the moment it's depressing, and I think disconnects are a symptom of a player base fed up. They WANT to play, they love DBD, been playing for years maybe; but it's demoralizing to load into a match, hear a squeal of a Nurse and a down in 6 seconds, see the next team mate hook grabbed immediately- and know not only is the game lost, but you won't even get any decent blood point compensation. So there you are wasting your time in a hopeless situation for 10 mins. Enjoy your 5k BPs. You can buy yourself a brown tool box, generator instructions, or maybe a green broken key on a Blood web where half the items are obsolete.
Majority of D/C's are when a survivor is being camped at 4-5 gens. It happens all the time and significantly increased after 6.1 . I'd say 80% of the disconnects I see happen when a hooked survivor is being camped, or else when that survivor is tunneled and downed immediately after they're unhooked. People are sick of it. I was being face camped by a Pinhead once, a survivor came to unhooked me, saw me being camped (at 4 gens) and he just d/c'ed right then and there. He was just out of there.
I've experience banks of matches where the Killer 4k's like, 10 matches in a row too. But according to BHVR, my MMR should be so low after that it will adjust accordingly, right? But it doesn't seem to and I just get paired with 2 survivors new to the game, a survivor who is competent and a Killer that has 3k hours. That's not a balanced, working MMR. Especially in a game where one inexperienced team mate can tank the game for the rest of us.
So I think the general attitude of Solo Q players is one of exasperation, hopelessness, and resignation. When you log in, you mentally prepare yourself for absolute BS. If you actually have a normal match where the Killer isn't overpowered (meaning mis-matched and much more experienced than the survivor team), and isn't camping/tunneling, and if all your team mates are competent, it's a pleasant surprise rather than the norm. If you actually escape? Like... shocking.
BHVR should be looking at the disconnect trend, and how it's increasing. They also have to look at WHY and do something productive. Just punishing Solos for it won't be effective. It will just be a bandaid fix and survivors will merely hook suicide.
It's really this, soloQ just sucks, and everyone knows it sucks, and yet we just keep pretending like that should be okay and completely fine. The problem is that every match feels like there are so many factors to how the match will go and how fun it will be that it's just impossible to create a scenario where its fun for both killer and survivors in a soloQ setting. I don't get to joke around with people, or just chat, or get instruction in game and it basically means that the game is basically a 1v1 where there are a lot of times there is nothing chasing you or you have to grab someone so you dont die, teammates feel less like a team and more like an objective and it sucks.
I want to joke around and have fun, but when it depends on everyone else that I get to have fun then I doubt they will choose my fun over theirs which is why people DC in the first place!

I like playing against Wesker, Nemesis is one of if not the most boring killer to play against.
-
DS is just a bandaid on a huge problem, killers feel the need to tunnel people to death to win and is just boring as hell. Same now with constant slugging and the now overly used infectious fright. Tightening down on gen speeds by there being less players and constant snow-balling are the most important things now for killer I feel.
-
Spirit is the easiest killer to play if you have a good headset,
and I have never had a fun game going against a Spirit.
-
Rework her addons. Why are there addons that make her unable to blink? or just move faster? when her power is the fun part about her, I feel like the only fun / good ones are the ones that let her blink more.

idk if both sides would agree on facecamping you obviously have those killers that love to facecamp but yeah i see the others.
Facecamping is a problem for both sides, it gives the survs a bad time w/nothing to do and it gives killers like bubba a bad rep. Basically it's only purpose is to upset survivors, and if it upsets survivors it makes for lame games following where they either just kill themselves on hook or dont save (cause ######### it I don't want to play this match) sort of mentality.
-
Map sizes, rng layouts being too strong / weak, key / mories, facecamping (i mean serious facecamping it needs to go), perk balancing (same good perks for so long and they only change like, one at a time so builds arent change just one perk is replaced). etc.
-
its boring because its so easy on the survivor side, god its so embarrassing how more powerful i feel as a survivor instead of a killer. I hate how hard I have to sweat as a killer, it makes the game infuriating and not fun.

totally destroy the game? its just a number dude, if it does factor to your mmr, it doesnt work. I have played 3 games today over the last like 6 hours that have had brand new killers with 1 level 1 perk when nearly all of us are purple or in my case a red rank. And I never knew the killers or my teammates ranks till the end of the game. The game doesn't even care about players ranks why should the players?
And by its just a number I mean as in it doesn't have meaning to the game, like, who or what cares about ranks besides players who think they are really good? I am a terrible survivor yet I am always red ranks, and a decent killer but have never broken past 6 in my life. Even if these are good representations of my "skill" they don't end up determining who i player with / against. So scrap it all and let us have faster queue times if rank doesnt matter in the end anyways.

The tryhard stress of most of my games today is finally gone, and i can just press m1 and space in peace while someone throws down pallets for a few mins so we can leave.
-
I never said it was fun, its just really easy. I have been playing killer games all day, and have finally been doing a few survivor games, and omfg its so easy.
-
time to just run noed on every killer and facecamp, why not? if the devs are gonna make killers less viable then we much change tactics and secure a kill. I would rather look like an ass than be gen rushed every game to a 4 escape
-
Yea, 1v4 makes this game so much harder when you have gens that are so quickly done and you get into a chase with one good survivor so you constantly either have to chase them and lose, or leave them, waste time, and maybe catch a weak link to tunnel so you can have a manageable time. I have been starting to slug and tunnel and camp way more and even then, 2 gens in 80 seconds or 1 in 50 while i chase a third still isnt slow.
-
Yea, I guess its just dependant on maps and some luck really. I feel like I lose when ONE chase takes too long, not even the first.
