Really good post imo. It's so damn satisfying to get those games where you get all red emblems after a long and maybe slightly excruciating trial. Getting a simple 4k or an easy escape in a 5 minute match just ain't fun to me, I much prefer to drag things out a bit. For survivor, get saves, chased (even if I suck ASS at them), do gens, everything that survivors SHOULD do; and for killer, enter multiple chases and get multiple downs, as many hooks as I can, etc. It's fun to actually do ALL of that. I will never understand killers who just want the quickest 4k ever or survivors who want the quickest escape of their life, that's boring as hell.

Holy ######### so THAT'S why I saw two people in games (one as killer, one as survivor) stuck in those corners of the hill. I was mad because I thought they were AFK/trolling but no, the game's just ######### up again.

Has anyone bothered to mention how the devs said that MMR has been working in the background for months, so logically it should already be sorting you with people of your skill level, yet it has barely even done that?
I just feel like I should mention that. It disproves the BHVR apologists who are all "xd GIVE THE GAME TIIIIMMEEE TO CALCULAAAAATTTEEE"
They said that, yet the MMR system acts as if everyone has been playing since it came out - that is, only a few days ago.

What the hell is going on over at BHVR anyway? They HAVE to be fixing this crappy MMR system supposedly "better" than the old matchmaking, right? I feel so bad to be going against rank 20 killers as someone who mainly plays survivor.
And it also sucks when I'm 100 hours into the game at rank 5 and I get gray/yellow rank teammates against a red rank killer, which causes us to get absolutely stomped. I know that "ranks don't mean anything now" but this new system is absolutely terrible so far. And the fact that we can't see what MMR is calculating, or we can't see our MMR rank or anything of the sort just ######### sucks.
I'm hoping that the problem fixes itself in a week, but knowing BHVR so far and how bad they are at communication (among other factors), I kinda don't have much hope.

however if talkies were added would the survivor have it as a passive item meaning they can use whilst they use something else such as a medkit and it would drain its usage as they send messages or would it be a standard item, meaning they can only have it as their actual item
I'd like if they were a passive item that loses charge as you send messages, but I feel like that's when it could turn really OP and unfair for the killer, and God knows they need to not deal with more bullshit than they already do. Minimum, I think you would need two survivors with walkie-talkies while the other two can carry what they want (toolbox, medkit, key, etc.), and the two survivors without talkies can overhear comms if they're near enough to the survs WITH talkies.

Dude, whole gameplay is build around having NO COMMUNICATION with others. Thats why SWFs are so big problem here. :) So i would say NO.
Also, i dont want to hear some random russian ######### blaming me for his mistakes. I have enough of that in DOTA2 already.
The lack of communication in SoloQ is the reason why so many games in it are terrible. You can't tell your teammates anything except pointing them somewhere or telling them to follow, and that's only if they're close by and looking at you.
And like I said, there are three options BHVR could do if they ever added Talkies, and the most reasonable one in my opinion is preset messages people could send. You don't get "Russian (bad word)s" cussing you out if that's the case.

The problem with voice chat is the various ways it can be abused, especially with randoms (micspam, verbal abuse, etc.). Plus, Killer already has a hard time dealing with SWF groups 80+% of the time due to the fact they have comms that the killer can not hear. Would this be the same for Solo Q and just make it infinitely more unfair for the killer?
I believe what Killer needs is either a buff against SWF groups, for SWF itself to be nerfed, or at the very least for killers to be able to see if they're playing AGAINST a SWF group.

i would like this idea, however it should only allow survivors to give vague information to one another ,maybe if they are in a certain proximity.
I get that! Maybe Talkies could have range limits that you could increase with addons, though if the range is too low by default, it'd defeat the entire purpose of them imo.

Keep in mind that it's nearly 7 AM when I post this and I'm kind of sleep-deprived so I'm sorry if the writing is weird or off, haha.

I'm gay as ######### for Pyramid Head, though if the poll was multi-option I would've chosen Trapper too and maybe Oni. And also you forgot Wraith. :(

Like many in this thread have stated, I enjoy playing both and it's fun, but playing Killer is much more stressful if you're aiming for 4Ks, especially when the matchmaking gets super imbalanced a lot of the time (and sometimes puts you in a server not in your country). Looping survivors in chases, trying your best to pressure gens while also being time efficient, mindgaming, getting blinded or stunned...
Honestly, as a temporary solution/bandaid for the cesspool that is matchmaking (and potentially MMR soon), we should be able to see the ranks of survivors in lobbies when we play as killer to prevent rank 20 - 10 killers being paired with red rank survivors, it's just unfair as #########.
Apart from that though, getting good matches (good map, good teammates, good killer), especially in solo Q, feels fantastic.
