Well if quiet whispers bother you so much I'm surprised those sounds don't as well.

That's the thing, they are not quiet whispers. They are ear piercing and absurdly loud and can cause massive headaches.

You truly cannot be this dense to not know how certain sounds affect people, there's a reason some people ears hurt when certain sounds IRL are made and some not so much; It doesn't make it any less of an issue just because it doesn't bother you.

Turn your game volume to 0. Problem solved.

Turn my game volume to 0? Where I can't hear survivors footsteps, breathing and grunts of pain?

There's just no way you're this dense and brain dead

  • trapper rework.png

I made a mockup of something i'd like to make him feel like an actual "trapper"

He will still keep his bear traps but will only be limited to two on the map only, while also adding 3 new traps he can use. We all know he's arguably one of the weakest killers in the game and needs some needed buffing or just a total rework. He is limited to one of each of these traps that are on a cool down and recharge over time.

He is able to put a trap on a door (visual representation shown above or something similar perhaps) that can have a visible rope and sidepiece that can injure survivors for one health state if triggered. It can be disarmed but will injure for one health state.

He can put a oil or mud container attached to a visible rope on a vault window that will activate if disarmed or a survivor runs through it. The rope will snap and will drop said container of substance and will slow down the survivor (similar to freddy's dream snare). This will also give a notification similar to the screaming effect that freddy's dream snare does.

The last trap will be a visible rope wrapped around a pallet that prevents it from being able to be thrown down. You can break the rope by hitting space bar and manually causing it to snap but it'll just fling back to its original space or disarming it like the previous traps. This will give a loud visual notification to the killer if broken

  • Then MMR is working correctly, if your best is where you can't win then that means you're not as good as you think you are. MMR takes a few games to adjust and that's what people seem to forget, it'll eventually pan out to your skill level. My MMR on freddy is currently at the point all I get is 4 stack SWF PC gamers that are way above average and that's due to me getting 3ks/4ks 20 games in a row. However, my MMR on ghostface is piss poor in which I get clueless survivors because I play him casually for fun.

Sounds to me like you're at your skill level if you're struggling to kill good survivors

  • MMR is working just fine. Dadges don't mean anything anymore because it'll just be reset everyone to same badge every month on the 13th and thus eventually everyone will reach iri 1 with enough time played since you can't depip anymore. MMR works in this game just like how it work in every game, just need to give it a few games to actually pair you with/against people of a similar skill level. You will eventually reach your skill set placement, i've been playing freddy nonstop and have been getting 3-4ks every game and am finally at a point where i'm getting good 4 stack SWFs.

"The main gripe with this killer is how bad chain hunt is in it's current state, even with double speed up addons for chain hunt, a survivor just picks up the cube and it takes another 30 secs or something (I don't know the exact number) before it activates again; the survivor can just pick up the cube and rinse and repeat."

I think objective of chain hunt is for survivors to get off generators and to hunt for the cube like secondary objective. As far as getting survivors off generators, I would say it does its job alright. What I would say though is that finding cube is too easy currently due to aura reading. This is just my opinion from my limit few games playing against Pinhead. I would say his chain hunt is an ok spot strength wise.

"it's high risk with little reward it feels like, and we can all agree that's just no fun"

I feel like this is contradiction. your agreeing that the chain ability is underwhelming(little reward) but disagreeing that making his ability high reward would be a bad idea. I think his problems are more towards his 1vs1 being pretty poor. I feel like if his reward for landing the chain was just single health state loss, it would simplify his kit a lot more.

Yes, that is the objective of chain hunt, if it actually would happen. You are correct, it is extremely easy for the survivors to get the cube and make chain hunt null and void; there's a reason why out of 11 games I've played as him, only 3 times did chain hunt activate for a total of 10 secs combined. You can't say something is in a good/okay state just because of the potential it has, that's like monstrous shrine is a good perk because it can be "good" under a niche circumstance. Why have something in the game that barely activates? It just makes you feel gimped.

The reason I stated it's high risk with little reward is due to the fact of how easy it is to miss/dodge his gateway chain, and even when hit outside of unsafe loops it effectively does nothing versus experienced (key word experienced, not good or bad, just some with base knowledge of how to loop) survivors. I don't quite agree with making his iri addon 'engineers fang' baseline, he is already extremely strong with that addon (I would say right about easily middle of the pack A tier). The solution shouldn't be this whatsoever.

to me, he is like nurse that has the rewards of clowns bottle but requires the aim precision of deathslinger.

so I would say he is nurse+clown+deathslinger into one killer. Currently, I feel like i need hit the survivor 3-4 times in a row with my ability just to get an M1 hit. it seems very excessive. To me, it feels like they tried to hard to make an M1 killer that is not rewarding to play.

I wish his ability could injure and down survivors but his movement speed was reduced to 96.5%. I wish bvhr could make a another killer like nurse with high skill-cap that is hard to use but rewarding to play.

Pinhead seems so close to that.

As a killer main, as much as it is fun to dunk on survivors, I don't think we should add another ranged killer that is on par with nurse. He has potential to be a good killer with the kit he has. The main gripe with this killer is how bad chain hunt is in it's current state, even with double speed up addons for chain hunt, a survivor just picks up the cube and it takes another 30 secs or something (I don't know the exact number) before it activates again; the survivor can just pick up the cube and rinse and repeat.

He's not a ranged killer and I don't think he should become one either, he just needs tweaking to make his abilities actually feel like they do something without punishing us as well. It's high risk with little reward it feels like, and we can all agree that's just no fun. Sure he has the ability to 4k just as any other killer can, but still doesn't mean he's not weak. I wish BHVR actually listened to all the complaints about him that were on the forums during PTB

I don't even buy the new killers anymore since they all seem to suck so badly. IDK what ape their taking suggestions from about killer balance but it is not working well.

His chains need to somehow do damage, his teleport needs to work in a way that he appears in front of the actual player once the teleport is complete, not where they were 2 seconds ago. That way it atleast requires strategy and they could only open it safely around a pallet/window.

I don't quite agree that the chains need to do damage, he has an iri addon for that which makes him insanely strong, but that's the issue is we don't to have another killer that is insanely add-on reliant. Nonetheless, higher tier addons that tons of grinding to stock pile on
