I personally believe that alot of players just use the old SWF!!! as an easy excuse for a loss.. I guess it's easier than accepting their own mistakes.
I agree with your comments about swfs. Most I see like to meme around.
I don't think it's an excuse with most players, I think it's because those few SWF matches REALLY sting and stand out, which makes them feel a lot more common as opposed to the numerous forgettable mindless games.
I mean, what are you going to remember more? The five games where you went 2 kills and 2 escapes and it was just kinda shrug worthy? Or one where you were clearly against coordinated SWFs who unhook eachother the moment you turn your back, are doing gens at a blistering speed, and every move you do is being countered by three other guys?
I know as a new player, the first time I ran into that I'll never forget it. It was probably the worst experience I had on the game, but I also recognize it's not the majority of games, but it *feels* like it's more games then it should be just because it stands out so much. That one match felt like Ten, while the other matches felt like less than one.
Perspective I guess, you know? The logical side vs the lizard side of the brain.
...But I'm sure there's some killers using it as an excuse too, but, I wouldn't paint it with such a broad brush.

I'm a pretty nice killer in general.. I feel bad ruining other players games.. I always try to never tunnel/camp and always give hatch.. If there's a dc I just go full silly meme and let everyone go.
I... Feel like there's scenarios for both camping and tunneling.
I'll "Camp" when I realize the enemy team is absurdly Altruistic and I know they're hanging around an area. Not 'face camping' mind you, but patrolling the area because obviously everyone is *right here* and I know they're not doing gens across the map. (Being a newer player, I always have BBQ equipped for those BPs, so it's kinda obvious when everyone's sitting around behind trees near me hoping to unhook.)
Tunneling I find hard not to do? I never pick one guy out and say "They must die!", but usually the worst survivor I just keep catching because they're bad at hiding or evading, and I'm not going to just ignore them. Especially when I know the other guy is going to run me around the map for five hours and I'll never get anything done. Better to remove someone from the game so someone has to save them and only two can focus on doing gens, THEN I can chase the other two off the gens. Unfortunately while that makes tactical sense it's, technically Tunneling?
I don't know survivors call me out for 'tunneling' so much when I don't feel like I'm actually doing toxic tunneling that I've become numb to it.

Maybe the Killer should get a bonus if they're paired up against SWF? That'd be something to test with. Maybe Gens could take a bit longer to do, that seems like a fair way to even things up. Slow down the game just a bit in exchange for the massive coordination boon the survivors get.
Sounds fair to me, wouldn't really impede the survivors and what they love to do (Have chases) much at all.
Win win for everybody. I'd be pretty happy with that as a killer main.

One thing is always a thing......... licensed killers are always boring AF
Except Meyers. When I asked people who their favorite killer to go against was a while back it was OVERWHELMINGLY Meyers.
=\ People love the guy, he's probably the most fun killer in the game for both survivors and killers alike.

Hag / Legion
Feng Ming for survivor.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here, by no means is a Killer not supposed to kill. The key is that you need to make sure that both sides always have a chance to win, even if that chance is very slim. To use the pig, as an example, if you got chased for a minute after the End Game started and then trapped, you simple would not have a chance to remove your trap escape by the time you get saved (especially now that the End Game timer is two minutes). You would have to win the lottery and remove your trap on the first box.
If you create a situation where someone has no chance to win, it feels like a waste of time. If you know you're going to die and there's nothing you can do about it, it's going to feel awful. You'll just want to get it over with as fast as possible. The same would go for the Killer side as well. If you were in a scenario where you could not possibly win, you would have a miserable time.
It's a tricky to strike a balance in an asymmetrical game, but it's important to make sure that everyone in the match has a chance up until they win or lose, whether losing is dying or getting sacrificed, or if losing is all the survivors getting out the gates.
First of all thank you for the response, I respect the work you all do for this game.
Second of all, honestly the way I read this...
So by that logic, survivors should have the exposed status effect when the gates open...? If they're totally healthy killers have no chance of killing them before they leave the map... Right? You'd get one hit in and they'd be out the door. As it stands once the gates are open if all survivors are fully healed you might as well just break some pallets to get as many blood points as you can, you have no chance of stopping them.
For those of us in the lower ranks, new players like myself, this can happen -a lot- in low ranks with gen rushing. (Then getting flamed if we happen to have NOED that they somehow missed)
Then there's the infinites, where we have no chance of catching a survivor unless we're playing Nurse.
Or SWF genrushes where you can get down to zero gens at a blinding pace while being able to do very little.
I mean, I'm just throwing that on the table.
Being a big fan of Starcraft, in that game we had a saying: "If you're in a no win situation, you shouldn't have let yourself get into that position, that was your miss play." Got rushed by Zerglings with no chance to win? Should have scouted.
Got swarmed by Mutas? Should have built AA.
Somehow ended up with a trap on your head with a minute left at the end of the collapse? You probably messed up your chase or did something wrong to deserve it. At least that's my view.

BBQ, I need those blood points. +_+

I rarely see survivor complain about this.
Do not know where your arguments will be
Being a Killer main who's only been in this game two weeks, I'm shocked to see you haven't seen survivors complaining about NoED, Camping and Tunneling. I practically get harassed after every other match for it and I'm brand spanking new.

Oh, and watch some good killer mains on youtube like Monto, theres great builds and chasing tricks you can learn. I only started playing last week I'm pushing into rank 13 without even trying, just farming BPs. A little study can give you a disturbing edge in the lower ranks.

If the behaviour happens often, punish them. That's what perks like Mad Grit are for, pick that up and smack the bodyblockers til your hearts content. Otherwise not much else you can do but try to force your way through.
As for loops, Bamboozle is good for windows, and I've found success mind gaming people. Dont always do the loop, shake it up. Turn around and go the other way on them, run backwards so they cant see the red stain turning towards them and clip them around the corner.
You'll be surprised how many people you catch by being unpredictable.
But yeah, I highly advise Mad Grit for bodyblockers, it ruins their day when they become a liability and not a help.

I like neon colorations. I generally love Cyberpunk and Tron style aesthetics, so the neon red / blue hair is something I like. Same with the new neon skin.
Also, whether you like the personality or not, the skin -does- show personality. It's not as edgy as the other skins which makes it more interesting by default. When you have three red things and one orange, you're gonna be interested in that orange thing even if you don't like the color you know?
But yeah I know how you feel, haha, I hate the "GAME OVER" sweater the one survivor wears. Generally I hate any 'gamer girl' aknowleding stuff in games, that's why, despite loving mechs, I'd want to throw D.Va from Overwatch in the nearest bonfire.

As a killer main, I don't get it. Unless you care about your pips (For some reason) and are just looking for easy matches. I play every match, regardless of what the enemy team is like, as a new player I figure learning how to mindread, figuring out the paths in the map and hiding spots is a good way to just get better. =\ So even if I get my butt handed to me by survivors that loop me for an hour, at least I'll have some practice and learn a thing or two.
(As a hag player, learning the best spots to put traps to cut off chases is key too)
-
I don't care about pipping or my rank.
-
As a new killer main who's been playing less than a month? I welcome this change, I have to admit the game's very enjoyable right up until the end game where survivors dance and T-bag at the exit gate instead of just -ending it-.
Also closing the hatch sounds incredible, half the time when it's down to one survivor, even if I know where the hatch is, I just tend to let it go. It's more of a pain then it's worth.

Day 2, got a daily for Hillbilly. Gonna try survivor in a little bit but, pfew...
Okay so how does one even hit that Chainsaw? I feel like it's only useful for getting across the map sometimes lol, I know he's one of the top tiers but... BOY. I also caused my first ever ragequit.
I downed a survivor by Hook, and naturally she crawled under pallet. One of her friends came up to drop the pallet and I, kinda, calmly just stepped back, making them waste a pallet while I promptly dodged it.
They DC'd shortly after and I got to sacrifice their friend, went on to clean out the rest of the team. (Still didn't hit anyone with that bloody chainsaw though)
Still good fun though, lots of easy bloodpoints!

P.S. | Oh, also, as an addition. If you're that survivor I played against last match who escaped from me twice while your entire team was down? Scuba Steve I think it was? Apologies, I wasn't BMing, I just had no idea where the closest Hooks were. New map and all.
