  • I read every ######### page of this thread and imma be honest, I wanted to choke the ######### outta half these people. However in the midst of the chaos, that is this "discussion", I read these responses.Β

You've just opened a big ol' can of whataboutism knowing this forum.

For some players winning is everything, even if it means taking shortcuts. The dopamine from winning is the "fun" for them, not the actual gameplay. They don't care if you or they have fun as long as they win.

I like to win, sure. But I also want to have fun. It's why I tend to only play low/mid tier killers nowadays and avoid meta/boring perkbuilds, I'm sort of the opposite in that as long as the match was tense and challenging, I don't really care about the outcome. Spirit/Fred/Slinger all made chases short and boring and that was where the fun in the game was for me. But for someone who loves those killers their fun comes from the fact that chases are short and easy, and the fun comes from elsewhere for them.

It's funny seeing users who have previously complained about it in their own threads immediately break out the "BUT WHAT ABOUT [blank]". Its a problem with the whole community, not just here. It's a problem with every asymmetrical game I've ever played.

People experienced in one form of gameplay but not the other usually resort to it when something they like/use often gets criticised. There's a major lack of impartiality on these forums that makes serious balance discussion very difficult.

This guy pretty much summed it up perfectly.

I can't tell you how to think but this was the best "takeaway" in my opinion.

So shout out to this guy for making sense and also shout out to you for being polite to a bunch of people who were disrespectful af to you when you didn't even do anything to them! πŸ’™

    I'll dare...

Your initial reply adds nothing to the conversation other than to say that the OP was carried by their choice of killer and that they need to LTP by choosing a "weaker" killer to play so they can learn the game.

It also says its ok to harass and taunt someone if they give up because at that point they deserve it, which basically is bullshit.

Its not "whataboutism", but it is an arrogantly worthless set of statements

If the killer gives up then by all means power through the game and leave, you are in no way justified in, or gaining anything by, taunting them for it. Which is what the OP is complaining about.

Within that scenario its possible to offer advice on how to improve without belittling someone while you do it.

The post comes across as a slightly more wordy "GIT GUD" with a pro bully theme, which is about as helpful as a condom machine in the Vatican.

Also you can learn all of the things you are suggesting using Freddy as, when it boils down to it, he's an M1 killer.

"It's not when a killer gives up instead of playing". Your direct response to a reply describing the behaviour of harassing someone who's given up as being a "dick move".

How is this not you supporting harassing another player in response to them giving up? If its not a dick move what is it?

If this is not you saying its ok to taunt someone when they've given up then you did a very bad job of not making that point. I'm not putting words in your mouth I'm quoting you. Did you forget posting that reply? and if not did you not realize what you were saying?

    Being blunt 101

"You've obviously hit your skill cap and need more practice at rank two <-- (blunt part), try a perceptively weaker killer to force you into practicing skills you may not have mastered with your current killer, Killer X is good for this as they are generally seen as blah blah blah" <-- (Constructive part)

    Being belittling 101

"You were carried to that rank by the killer you chose and don't belong there, play a different killer and get good"

See the difference in these two statements and how one is constructive and easily interpreted where the other is not constructive and argumentative.

Here is your original quote, in case you forgot again <-- (snide and belittling)

"He carried you against all of those trash survivors who don't know he can be pre throws hard against".

Belittling statement insulting to both the killer and survivors he faced while assuming a great deal and offering no constructive feedback. This is why people are arguing with you.

Never dare someone to throw it back to you when your first pitch was a dud to begin with, especially if you struggle with making a clear point in written text <-- (Blunt).

    On god. πŸ˜‚πŸ™Œ

I like you a lot. Be my friend (っ≖‿≖)っ

  • I'm so sick of seeing this #########.

What's with this stupid mindset going around lately that if the game isn't easy and you keep losing then there's something wrong with the game/other players and it should change just so you can start winning?

How about this: games aren't supposed to be easy to win. You're actually SUPPOSED to encounter difficult situations. If you keep getting your ######### beaten in certain situations (like when you go up against certain perks/killers/maps) then you might be the one ######### up (especially if a majority of players are handling it just fine). Yes it may be difficult but it is not impossible. You're being lazy.

Then there's the whole "I shouldn't have to use certain perks and go around looking for totems. It's boring/it's a waste of a perk slot"

It's called countering and strategy. I doubt you feel like the perk is a waste when it's saving your ass. The point is to come prepared even if there's a chance that you may not need it. It's risky to play without those perks and it's your responsibility to determine if you want to take that risk. If you make a bad call, that's on you. It is literally the solution to your problem. There is no such thing as a guaranteed win for either side.

And of course there are gonna be times where you can do everything right and still fail.... Tough break yo. If you lose then you lose. Take that L and keep your ######### moving.

Nah. The reason why you never see survivors doing objectives is that you keep dcing. You're up to 120 hours banned this week alone?

Lmfao I'm glad someone else picked up on this. I was just about say isn't this the "the ban times that I keep getting aren't fair even though I keep DC-ing. They should change the game for me. I should be allowed to ######### up the matches for everyone as much as I want" guy πŸ˜‚

  • @[Deleted User] said:

How are people on this thread justifying DCing? A tip for these people: if you find yourself frustrated and DCing frequently during matches for whatever ######### reason, GO PLAY ANOTHER GAME and stop ruining the trial for the other 4 players.

    On God. πŸ™Œ

  • @Moundshroud said:

The fact that were will always be bad sports and losers is why I would prefer that instead of a Ban they just route people with a pattern of disconnecting into a Que made up entirely of other Players who have a bad habit of disconnecting. Chances are this Que will be smaller, have longer wait times, and be infuriating to play in since they will get disconnected on by others of their ilk.

This method would also give them a chance at redemption. They don't get back to the rest of us until they manage to complete a certain number of games without disconnecting. This would allow them back to the grown-up Que until they revert to bad habits.

Lmfao I never even considered this. I like you. You're fun (っ≖‿≖)っ

No, people shouldn't "uninstall" because they run stuff someone else doesn't like. Don't care if it's targetted at killers or survivors, people shouldn't fall into the scrub pit and blame players for their grievances with parts of the game to begin with.

Not saying people can't express their opinions on perks, items, killers, add-ons or whatever else. But there's a big difference between "Thing is bad and should be changed" and "Thins is bad, should be changed, and you're BAD for using it". One is a statement that can actually lead to discussion, the other is pointless player shaming scrub BS.

    On. #########. God.
