As a legacy 3 meghead i disagree with giving out legacy to everyone.

I also disagreed with the devs giving out event exclusive items to all players which i thought was a stupid idea, and i share that same opinion in regards to giving out legacy to everyone.

Event items and cosmetics, and legacy items were advertised as being exclusive and time limited items, therefore i find it hard to understand peoples arguments when they say, its been 4 years, they've had time to wear them, now give it to me. This makes no sense.

I swear this is the only gaming community I know of that asks for exclusive items to become available to everyone just because time has passed, that is not what EXCLUSIVE means.

That's my opinion and I hope BHVR don't be stupid and hand it out to every 200hour player out there :)

What variety? The events were ######### and the cosmetics were mostly recolors. The only ones that were very different were the Huntress Mask and the Hillbilly hammer, and those pale in comparison to the cosmetics we can get today. Like, just admit you're salty cuz they're not special anymore and gtfo it.

Obviously people are mad about sharing event cosmetics with every player in the game when they didn't earn it and they did........ that is the reason why people are complaining about this.

I swear people like you are either jealous of not getting the event cosmetics or just incapable of using their brain and realising why this makes them annoyed.

Seriously, this is how dumb u sound, its like me going on the fortnite forums and going, Hey guys I've been playing for like 3 months now and I think its unfair that I don't have the season 1 skins, now im not asking for the battlepass skins, just the free ones because that is fair, and I think this because u know, the skins were just recolors and "the events were #########"

Jealous, SJW, I can't stand these people, and so I say the same to you, stop drooling over event items and "gtfo it"

The way in which legacy was stored did change from when I first unlocked them in 2016 because they were moved from being stored locally to on their own servers (which is when I lost my cosmetics).

So there is every possibility that legacy cosmetics when I lost them, were stored in a similar way in which the Howling Ground cosmetics were stored. I lost all these cosmetics during the event.

I feel like the Devs may be reluctant to state that some people who had legacy have been identified because lots of people lost it before the way in which data was stored, changed. However people like me lost the cosmetics when presumably legacy was stored similarly to how Howling Grounds was stored. (It only makes sense to store cosmetics in the same fashion, I feel it'd be very unlikely they were stored differently at this period).

It may sound like a bit of a stretch, but I've been waiting a long time now and hope to get some kind of good news.

Yes my bad, I'm talking about the Howling Grounds event. Are you SURE they're not connected? If lost Howling Ground cosmetics could be identified and because I lost legacy at the same time I lost the event cosmetics, I feel like lost legacy cosmetics should be able to be identified in this time period too.

I would really appreciate an official response if possible.

You guys have to STOP comparing Legacy and Event cosmetics. It's getting old. Legacy was not an event ! It was a way to thank people for supporting the game in its early years. The two other events are events that took place before the in-game Store opened. Does that mean that the cosmetics shouldn't be available like all the other event skins they created ? It just... doesn't make sense ? You know ? Right now, people might as well keep selling their entire accounts for people to get these 4 exclusives. And what does Fortnite have to do with all of this ?! Running out of comparisons ? Seriously ???
And don't even get me started with this thread again : my IDEA was that we found a COMPROMISE... TOGETHER as to make everyone HAPPY. Unfortunately, I was too gullible. And I thought I could "save the day", make things change and help people to all be happy.
This thread had started off nicely with positive feedback.
I had a SINGLE question : Compromise ? Yes or No ? Is it good ? Would it need readjustements ?
What has it become ? A mess of illogical arguments and a flock of hatred between the different parties... This whole discussion just doesn't make any sense anymore. The same arguments come back over and over and over... Don't you ever get tired ? "The Store didn't exist before" / "You're not entitled to them" /// "You're selfish" / "Policy should apply to earlier cosmetics".
I wrongly thought I could set common ground.
It's fine, keep your exclusives to yourselves and feel happy that you kept them away from our "grabby little hands" (-Mathieu Cote). I hope this changed your life and that you feel good about yourselves. We'll just keep sharing and caring and create social connections while you have fun alone with your "exclusives". Then, in 80 years, when you'll all be pretty much deceased and that the cosmetics have gone forever, I hope you feel glad once more.
Maybe others will try what I attempted, but I can't keep wasting my time here.

Incase you don't understand what we are all saying is that we DO NOT want a compromise, you do not deserve the cosmetics since you did not earn them. Get over yourself and stop being so entitled.
