  • It's very finnicky. sometimes switching to a different challenge and coming back works, others it doesn't. Have not been able to get any progress on totem challenge, red glyph challenge, or cooperative action challenge in tome 13 level 2.

    Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but i have already activated the epilogue (final) node in the tome through the middle branch. The other branches rarely progress due to this bug.

    Renewal second wind still bugged. no progress counted after dying to injured state if you continue healing

    Right, so playing smart is boring. This is what i meant in that other thread.

    I also think it proves the other point that this game NEEDS secondary objectives. Something else for the survivors to do other than hold m1 that also slows the match speed up a bit

    Instead of being a collosal meme, how about you try to explain why it's biased to say that time is uncounterable, but skill isn't?

    Page 1 of responses. Don't need to repeat them.

    Back for more psychological analyses - this time, I'm interested in how players perceive particular characters, based on things they've heard, past experiences, etc.

    They could be survivors or killers. Do you expect certain killers to camp or meme? Do you dread being put on a team with someone playing a specific survivor? Do you judge someone's likely skill level based on who they're playing or what cosmetics they're wearing? Do you tunnel people or let them live based on their character or cosmetics? And why?

    Let me know all about your in-game prejudices, rational or otherwise! It doesn't have to be limited to the questions above, those are just prompts to get you thinking.

    (Usual disclaimer applies - I am a design student, using the DBD forums as a case study for my Honours research project. I won't include any personally identifying information, such as usernames, but insights gained from this post may be used as part of my studies.)

    Ha. Literally.

    Interesting comments in this thread.

    So, rank reset just occured, and I went from 15 to 16 (I know I'm fairly new) and the game before I got to rank 15 with no pips. But then I got a slugging tunneling farming wraith. He saw me immediately and just targeted me. He let the others just gen rush and cleanse his hexes. Now I'm not good at running killers (except if its a baby killer or I get lucky) so this match was pretty quick for me. Nobody had borrowed time or anything so I knew I was screwed. I died just a few minutes into the match. I deranked cuz I couldn't get a safety pip. So greedy killers aren't too fun to go against. I'm not trying to sound like a whiny survivor main, but seriously they don't even want you to get a safety pip. I checked their account and they had adept wraith so... I guess he was just grinding blood points but when I play killer even when I grind blood points I just do challenges or I at least don't target one person and let the other ones just escape I just don't farm or tunnel or camp. Long story short greedy killers aren't fun to go against. Thank you for coming to my TED talk

    A good Huntress, Doctor and Nurse won’t let you loop them at all. There’s no mindgaming. It’s all in the killers control with those guys if you’re good. People go down. Killers aren’t that difficult to play yet people whine 😂 then they buff. There’s the Unjustified doctor buff. Huge Disregard for the fact that huntress doesn’t need 3 iri heads lol Still no word on those darn Ebony Mori’s.

    listen, I main Plague, one of the lower tier killers and still do fine against red rank survivors. and this is on console. If any side needs help it’s survivor in terms of making it more enjoyable. What better way to fix DC problems than adding a DC penalty rather than making it more fun by .... well... idk maybe not making RIGHT BUMPER literally used for every interaction in the game 😂

    How are you still getting caught? Surely if you're being tunneled every other game you should be in chases the majority of the time. So why are you so bad at looping that you still end up dying?

    You can't pressure your way out of a gen popping in the time it takes to cross the map. You can, however, learn to predict what a killer will do next, conserve pallets, etc

    please just stop,all I can hear is just another whiny survivor,if devs actually listened to survivors nonsense this game would be ruined in less than a day,bloodlust have been in the game forever and its not gonna change just because you're a survivor main and want all the unfair advantages in the world,you people are so irritating

    I recently played a group of players and thought... this is far too well organised so asked them afterwards whether they were in an SWF using communications. They responded no and they were solo.

    You can imagine my surprises a couple of matches later at seeing them again in a lobby, what were the odds!

    Why do survivors lie about being in an SWF?

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

    I've seen posts claming the devs are survivor sided/killer sided but imo the devs are pretty fair when balancing the game. What's your opinion on the devs?

    No. I don't.

  • @HellDescent said:

    Because you're playing killer, so deal with it and don't expect a fix anytime soon

  • Confirmation bias.

    Also, happens with spine chill a lot.

    Killer looks at you;

    Spine chill acitvates;

    You run off gen as killer comes towards you;

    You explode an invisible skill check as you get off the gen as spine chill increases the chance of skill checks, and it is activated when the killer looks at you.
