I don't know I need to play against more Steve's they really do a bit of everything hard to get a call on them so far lol

In my experience, their #1 strategy is "be really aggravating" and then when all else fails, try the boop

  • Highly accurate list... I feel like Steves are last resort boopers

I had a match against 4 grey ranks. I was rank 8, but I still shouldn't be getting four rank 20's.

EDIT: Have in mind, I was a red rank killer up until the last rank reset, I have deranked so that I could learn the new Doctor and Spirit.

I was playing as one of my mains during the match. The game ended in about two minutes.

Wow, that's pretty bad...before you went down to 8, what kind of matches were you getting? The reason I'm asking is I watched Tofu's video about matchmaking/queue times, because people are on here are touting it as irrefutable gospel, but I can't realistically believe that all the green/yellow rank survivors are playing SWF with red rank friends. If his theory is true, then the majority of red rank killers should be getting rainbow lobbies nearly every match.

So far the responses I've gotten are all over the place though, so I'm not sure what to think. Hopefully some more people respond so we get a clearer picture.

  • I would totally pay for a Snail Person Dwight Cosmetic

  • I feel your pain. I play on PS4 and lately the pings have been all over the place. I feel like they've been tinkering with the matchmaking or something, because some days the pings are fine, but the players are nowhere near my rank (I'm talking like rank 4's matched with 16's and 17's multiple times in a row) then the next day I'll be matched with people closer to my rank but the pings are crazy bad. This is unrelated, but I also get an error code booting me from the pregame lobby like 50% of the time. I'm not sure if that's a problem exclusive to console though.

Not that I think dedicated servers will solve these issues, they still have alot of work figuring them out on PC before they get to us.

  • Nobody cares about sportsmanship anymore.. especially online, cause "it's just a game, who cares?"

Random story time...When I was a kid in little league, even if you got destroyed, you still shook hands at the end and said gg. One time I said some rude ######### to the other team and my coach told me off for being a sore loser. It might sound stupid, but it taught me to be respectful and dignified even when you lose. And that was "just a game" too.. I carry that mentality with me even on video games, and I get frustrated with people who quit or talk ######### to you when things don't go their way. Like is it that hard to just show a little sportsmanship?

Personally, I put a little bit of blame on certain streamers who would DC all the time (won't name any names, don't wanna break the rules). Don't like the killer you're facing? Quit. About to get mori'd? Quit. Random teammate accidentally screws you over? Quit. And alot of people watching them get the idea that this is totally acceptable. Maybe I'm wrong and people aren't that impressionable, but I think it set a bad example for newer players.

Rage quitting is just being a sore loser...maybe the dbd community needs a little league coach to tell them off lol

  • yeah, I feel you...I would love for a really in-depth stats page...stuff like kill ratios for each killer/map etc, escape ratio vs each killer..that stuff would be helpful to learn which killers you're weak against or what maps you need to practice more... Even stuff like personal bests or huntress hatchet accuracy would be cool. I don't think it'll ever happen but yeah, it would be highly smooth

  • Ah, to be young and naive again...expecting people to be cool and just take their loss without getting salty and ragequitting...I long for those days

  • so either way he's overrated?

  • I mean, I don't think that's really necessary. Sure it happens sometimes, but not often enough to warrant a stat displayed for everyone in the lobby. Also, there are times when trying to kobe is your only option, say everyone else on your team is hooked or downed. I understand your frustration though, when someone tried to unhook themselves instead of waiting to be saved, it can definitely hurt the team.

But honestly I get more annoyed when people do jumping jacks on the hook, because you never know if they're trying to signal that they're being camped, or if they're doing it to say "HEY COME SAVE ME #########" or maybe they do it cause they're bored, you never know

Yes, they do stack. Only the afflictions such as the heartbeat and red stain don't stack.

Great, thank you. I was gonna use those add-ons for the madness achievement but I wasn't sure if I would be wasting an add-on slot

  • It says "afflictions of the same type do not stack" But I think that's referring to the fake red stain/terror radius.

  • lol so I had a match earlier today on Yoko Ono Estate (I hate that map btw) got one kill about mid way, and the remaining survivors screwed themselves by leaving the last 3 gens too close together, so I kept patrolling them, for the longest time nobody had touched a single one...they were all just stealthing around seemingly forever, and when one of them finally got brave enough to try, I tried looking for them but didn't find them. (I was huntress so they could hear me coming a mile away) Every time I caught a glimpse of someone they would disappear into the unlimited shrubbery of sadness (I'm not great at tracking on that map sorry) so I'd go back to the gens. Eventually Feng Min used her key to escape through the hatch and I defended it until it closed again. Apparently I was holding the game hostage by not letting them all escape and they "all reported me" oh no... I guess I'm supposed to hold their hands, show them which generators to repair and then lay down a red carpet to the hatch? Is not allowing the whole team a free escape a bannable offense? I wish someone would have told me

You're joking right if we're talking physics here your hit that shouldn't have connected because it shouldn't land still shouldn't connect. Go out and run up to a wind and see what happens, you won't be able to magically swing 5 feet into the window.

The only one whining here is obviously the killer aka you wanting something they don't deserve similar to fake pallet hits before. If I as a survivor vault through a window and I'm 3 feet past it before you even get to the window you don't deserve a hit.

Any person that knows anything about physics will tell you the same thing, if you'r not supposed to get a hit you shouldn't get a hit.

Normally I'm a lurker, but I decided to put this to the test. (yes too much spare time blah blah whatever) I took a knife and reached out my window and measured it with a tape measure. It came to about 44 inches from my armpit to the tip of the knife. Therefore, we can assume any window hits under 4 ft. in distance are feasible. This doesn't take into account leaning through the window. Arm lengths may vary.

And I succeeded in terrifying my elderly neighbors...For science. You monster.

I hope it's within the rules to post photos of this nature. I didn't see anything about it. Apologies if this breaks any rules.
