Is this satire? Or are you from the past and timetravelled to 2026?
But dont worry, you only will have to deal around 2 weeks with that "survivor-sided" map and those insanely strong Pallets.
Ok tell me why I’m so wrong then. I’m listening.

Which is why resources should be based around the killer you are up against. Why should Ghoul, Blight, Hillbilly, Dracula, Singularity, etc spawn the same number of pallets as Ghost Face, Trapper, Legion, Pig, etc? Makes zero sense. You don't need a variant for every killer either. Just 2-3 tiers would be better than the one size fits all approach we have now. It would essentially be selective pallet density.
I’ve often thoughts this myself.
The killers could be in tiers of how powerful they are which would determine how many pallets would spawn in a given match. Tier 1 killers would have the most and tier 3 would have the least. This will never happen however because it’d require behavior to do some work which is something they desperately don’t wanna, so they’ll just release a new killer instead.

Tunneling is a part of the game. Folks need to stop beating around the bush complaining about this tunneling boogeyman and instead should complain about the killer strength directly. Even if killers tunnel, especially the lower tier killers or “M1” killers, they can still lose, because the game is balanced around it. You are expected to tunnel. This is a whole different issue (if you consider tunneling an issue) and it shouldnt be a part of this conversation. Because every single killer can and does tunnel, camp, and slug, some just do it better.
it’s unpopular because nobody likes it. Survivors definitely don’t like it. Killers don’t particularly want to but feel forced to due to insane gen speeds and number of pallets. Ofc you just have the killers who don’t gaf either way but still…
Game balance where your forced to play in one particular playstyle is not good balance. -
@runningguy said:
well if you play a "fair" m1 killer then maybe. Thats why people tunnel. If you as killer are having silly fun as m1 killer instead of using S tier killer, meta perks or harsh tactics to compensate then you cant complain if you lose.
Likewise, as survivor, if your playing "fair", having fun with other team mates, generally having a laugh then you cant complain that a killer is steamrolling you.
Harsh reality is this…. if you want to win, sometimes you need to be ruthless, you need to do what needs to be done. This applies to both sides. killers may need to tunnel or use S tier killers with meta perks. Survivors may need to play more sneaky or selfish.
If you dont care about winning then there is no issue, have your fun, mess around, lose the match and move on.
So if you play a basic M1 killer you should be “forced” to tunnel? That’s the solution?

You DO realize that killers have rules too, yeah? Survivors aren't the only ones to have a rule book. Your rule is "No Tunneling"
Our rule is "No Gen Rushing"
I can't tell you the amount of times I've run into a match, and have been absolutely GEN SLAMMED by multiple survivors running toolboxes and pairing up on gens before I can even get a hook in.
In short, if you haven't noticed already, if you're going to break rules, I don't see why we can't break them either.
I understand this but at the same time WHAT ELSE are survivors supposed to do? This game doesn’t have a lot of side objectives and the main objective is to do gens.
Now I know your counterpoint is “well killers are supposed to kill” and I get that but, do you really need to immediately tunnel that one guy out when there’s still 5-4 gens left and the match just started 45 seconds ago?
-
@Fix_Killers said:
Honestly if killers wanna tunnel and slug so be it just remove the DC penalty.
So Killers wanting to apply pressure & win should let Survivors DC for free because such tactics are not Survivor Approved™?
Ok. So if Survivors keep returning to the same generator after a Killer kicks it; The Killer should be able to DC for free, right?
After all, 'Tunneling' is literally just trying to kill a Survivor (You know; THE KILLER'S MAIN GOAL) quickly.Oh, but here comes the 'It'S dIfFeReNt!' squawking from Survivors. That Killers should not be able to play effectively because their goal involves removing someone from the game. And that's mean. 😢
All Killers are required to play off-meta when demanded, and play inefficiently as possible, so Survivors get the Survivor Approved™ amount of Fun from every match!Oh, but if Killers say 'Stop slamming gens' or 'Play off-meta' to Survivors? The reply is 'Lol. No. Why should I care about your fun?' and 'Git gud'.
Here’s a thought, how bout a penalty for killers who immediately tunnel one survivor out?
AHAHAHAHAHAHA! No.
Force killers to rotate hooks.
Force them to lose, you mean. Rotating hooks usually results in a 3-4 man escape.
Like an invisible timer for 2:30 minutes where they can’t just immediately mow down a single player.
Two and a half minutes of immunity to being re-hooked?
I'm sure the purely pure-good-super-special-awesome-amazing-never-bad Survivors will never abuse that!So basically only the killer is allowed to have fun.
Sorry you tunnel me (or someone else) into oblivion the first minute of the match or leave me on the ground for five minutes to get a 4K I’m leaving.
It’s ok for the survivor to have the most miserable time?Hard Tunneling (especially in the first minute) is so devastating to a match or DBD. To lose a crucial player so early on practically makes the match unwinnable especially so considering the killer. Look end game have at it, it’s a free for all but the first minute?
-
@Neaxolotl said:
you literally wrote very reason in your post
"first guy immediately saw it was a kaneki and noped out DC'ing immediately", yeah that's the EXACT reason why your match was miserable, and the reason why penalty must exist
I don't even understand why you managed to get a conclusion which is "dc penalty shouldn't exist"
I don’t even blame the guy for disconnecting. WhoTF wants to play against free hit Kaneki?
We tried our best without him and got nowhere. I basically gave myself to the killer so he could hook me and put me out of my misery but instead he decided to just meme with my downed body and other player.
I should just be forced to sit through this?? -
@OrangeBear said:
Basic M1 killers are not going to have fun in 2v8, the pallet density is insane, you need a strong power to deal with it. You're basically saying they should have just added weak killers so survivors can have fun.
Legion is not a sweaty killer either, they are a beginner hit and run killer whose effectiveness falls off sharply against experienced players.Most people (survivors and killers) are playing 2V8 for some goofy fun and to get away from the sweatiness that is the current base game. The fun from playing Killer in this mode is having a mate to hunt with you which significantly reduces the stress of playing killer by yourself. likewise it’s a more chill experience with the survivors having the most basic perks and passive abilities that bring the experience back down to a vanilla, tag like experience.
However solely throwing in killers who were designed to deal with the ever growing meta of the base game into this mostly vanilla sided survivor mode makes this game mode just as sweaty as the base game and one sided. -
@xltechno said:
It will continue unless the survivors learn how to force the killer into not wanting to tunnel or camp. And crouching in the grass from the beginning just encourages the killer to do whatever he wants, and they are completely unaware that they are giving up the advantage to the killer. This is the current standard survivors skill.
In other words, the fact that the middle layer of Survivor players is filled with beginners is the main reason why the killer tunnel cannot be stopped. And no one is aware of this and no one learns. This is because they believe that it is more beneficial to allocate time to requesting improvements to development than to learning.
So basically the survivors have to hope and pray the killer doesn’t tunnel them immediately off hook.
ok.

Shortly after writing this I just got my 4th nurse game of the night! Me and the random Dwight I was playing with just gave up immediately.
I assume the Dwight also just had a long night of infinite nurses as well…

@egg_ said:
XD Wesker and nurse in the list but not blight who's arguable stronger (nurses argument) or knight and artist, who are as equally dull to sm and trickster
Blight, Knight and Artist are fun to play against and have actual counter play. Blight is chasing you? Run erratically and play around the corners in jungle gyms. Artist is just a basic M1 killer who can occasionally get lucky with a will placed bird spirit. Knight is just a basic M1 killer with a buddy.

But keep on denying it’s a problem.
Cause once Behavior creates killer bots this game is dead once and for all.

Behavior needs to stop balancing this game around the 1% top players and around it’s actual player base who are all average, myself included.

Your mistakes went far beyond just not using the chainsaw.
You did not attempt anything in this game. Basically you're mindlessly following the survivor and pressing Space instantly every time they drop a pallet, and hoping the game will reward you for your effort. But that's not how Bubba works.
The worst part is, you could pick a killer like Knight and you could get away with this playstyle. But for some reason you chose to play a hard killer, that you don't know how to play nor learn, with bad perks and no add-on, without camping, without tunneling, on one of the worst maps, and you decide to chase the best survivor for half of the match. You realize how badly unbalanced the game would have to win if you could win that match? I mean at least equip the Chillis.
“you just followed the survivor and pressed space”
That’s basically the gameplay for every basic M1 killer lmao.
I shouldn’t have to pick another killer to have a fighting chance at winning, that’s the point I was making all along. So no, idc about your examples of “”X”” player running a specific build sweating his ass off to pull a victory.
none of you here are going to convince me that the number of pallets aren’t a problem and that survivors running to safe pallet next to safe pallet pressing R1 is some skilled mindgame when killers have only 2 options.
chase or break chase.
keep chasing the survivor and waste precious time or break chase and waste precious time.
-
I take most of the “”criticism”” or feedback of my gameplay with a grain of salt. “Use your chainsaw at loops” ok and I’ll either touch the sides of the loop and go into a tantrum or still just get hit with the pallet because we all know just how inconsistent bubbas chainsaw is for pallet drops.

I don't see much wraith, doctor and spirit (i'm glad for this last one).
Most of the time it's wesker (like several in a row) nurse, blight. Sometismes legion and huntress are put into the mix.
I'm tired too of that.
Same topic with the perks.
You always see the same thing over and over despite the variety.
I will admit that I haven’t seen Wraith in a while, but the unfortunate first time you do see him, you’ll get a match with him every other game next.

@[Deleted User] said:
I can give a detailed review of the gameplay if you want. Long story short: use your power more. You have so many instances where you have an easy down with your saw or chance to force the pallet down and break it with your saw, but you're playing Bubba as an M1 killer with the saw as an afterthought. It seems like you don't have a feel for tile layout for zoning yet. That will come with experience.
There are maps where the safe tile count is too high and the spacing is too compact. But I don't think that's your main issue at this point.
Dawg I have 700+ hrs on this game with 8 killer completely maxed out//prestige. I have the “experience”

@[Deleted User] said:
The question becomes are the pallets a problem or is playing m1 killers the problem?
basic M1 killers are like 70% of the entire killer roster, so by that measurement, yes pallets are the problem.

Some people would not survive in old DBD.
Other than Borgo and Garden of Pain, I've generally found maps to have too few pallets more often than too many.
I didn’t start playing until 2020 so I dunno what this is but I assume it was awful and everyone complained about.

Lmao I know. I hate the game with a passion and I have to force myself not to DC as soon as I load in as killer.

@HarlockTaliesin said:
Gens go fast (regression perks gutted, OP toolboxes), survivors are moving faster (MFT/Resilience/Adrenaline) and max greed every pallet/window they find, endurance giving three health states and being added to perks like "do you want fries with that". That's just solo queue. SWFs running coordinated perks/hook saves/gen boosts/body blocks, reporting the killer's every move.
There's only a few killers with speed, less with an expose ability or insta-down, and a good many maps make spreading pressure difficult to impossible in the current meta. If a killer wants a shot at winning the trial, one survivor has to go asap.
It sucks, and most killer players don't want to play like that. A slower, less sweaty trial is greatly desired. Unfortunately, this is the direction BHVR has pushed everything to with their bizarre perk overhauls. Killer queue BP bonuses are running longer/more often every day, and survivor lobby queues have been higher than normal lately, because it sucks playing most killers now and people are just opting not to play.
You can complain about the symptoms of the problem (tunneling/camping, genrushing), or you can recognize the problem itself: BHVR makes a worse meta every time they try to alter whatever the current meta is. Instead of working to correct this mess, they just drop one half-assed DLC after another, bringing more problem content into the mix, knowing that way too much of the player base will fork over cash for the new shiny.
Sick of how things are going? You want things to change? Direct your complaints to them. Because the way things have been going the past year, this time next year any killer left in the game will be playing Nurse, Blight, Spirit, or if those get boring Myers running Tuft of Hair+Tombstone Piece to break up the monotony. And survivors will be waiting forever in queue just to get steamrolled in less time than the wait for the trial.
Hit the nail 100%
I fully agree.
even tho tunneling annoys me to no end I completely understand why they do it. Killer for anyone not playing meta is thoroughly miserable and when you go from game to game with annoying little tea bagging shits, I’d stop giving af and tunnel too.
-
@Chocolate_Cosmos said:
Me: Plays the match seriously and plays the most effective way: camp and tunnel whenever I find it worth it, gets 3-4K
Survivors: Bruh tunneling camper, why you play like this, etc.
Also me: Chooses to play meme build or wants to give everyone a chance as Killer, plays even friendly sometimes and noding with Survivors, etc.
Survivors: tbag at exit gates, "gg wp", gens fly, 0-1K, "ezi", etc.
I am sorry but I just really don't know what to do at this point. You either respect the other side, having harder time and risk the chance of being made fun of or you play seriously and Survivors cry but you have better matches.
If only behavior would do their job and balance the game accordingly so that, killers don’t feel the need to tunnel .03 seconds into a match and have a fair shot, but we know that’s impossible.
-
Believe it or not but, the average survivor is not a pallet looping god like you think. Survivors shouldn’t have to be ultra instinct Goku to pull off a win in solo Q.
In a balanced game, solo Q should be a legitimate 50/50 chance to win. Killers rotate hooks and don’t camp and survivors do objectives, saves, heals etc. By the end of the match, Two survivors should be dead and two escaped. Most would be satisfied. But rarely is this ever the case in dbd. It’s either one extreme or the other. The Swf completely run over the killer and 3 to 4 escape or the killer absolutely demolishes the survivors and nobody escapes.

They have been addressing solo queue issues with the HUD, DC bots, and soon the anti-face camp mechanic.
The only thing they can’t fix is that the average survivor is really bad. And the only way for people to fix that is if they get better. BHVR can’t make them suddenly good.
No, just improve the quality of life for killers who aren’t the top 5 meta, and suddenly basic M1 killers won’t feel the need to tunnel people immediately to have a shot at winning….
-
Survivor mains will fight this truth so hard but then wonder why every match is a Doctor, Nurse, Wraith or Blight….

@LobbyDodgerLeonidas said:
Yeah the general advice about creating dead zones is hilarious because the maps have so many pallets that survivors can snap drop each one and still have pallets to run to in end game after they finish the gens. If they don't have the gens done in that time, you were facing a potato squad and you would have won anyways
Thank you.

@Gandor said:
Sorry, but this SCREAMS skill issue. You did 0 mistakes, but you didn't use your power because it's tough? You didn't watch where survivor is going. You didn't mind game. You didn't even hug obstacles and went wide instead. And you still think the problem is in pallets?
How free do you want your games to be? This is about as insane as someone demanding nerf on all killers (say them having no ability), because of "I have broken keyboard and can't press shift to run" + saying "but I played the game perfectly and still lost it every single game". Duh... Ofcourse u lost.
Btw maps like thombsone house already have 8 pallets - and it's by far not even remotly as strong for killers as midwitch - even though midwitch has 25 pallets and 2 of those are god pallets.
Skull issue is on you if you can loop a killer for a long enough time with a handful of pallets.
Maps have so many safe pallets where there is literally nothing for a M1 killer to do but to wait for the survivor to throw the pallet or just brute force it and eat the stun.
wouldn’t be so bad if maps only have about 10-13 pallets max as survivors would have to legitimately think about when and where to throw pallets, but when you have 20 and your teammates are all on gens, it’s game over.
-
@Raconteurminator said:
In all fairness, that was 2:21 of you not using your power. You're right about some maps having too many advantageous pallets, but you can't bring the pain without the chain.
All the maps have too many pallets. In my opinion there should be like 13 pallets max.
-
@supersonic853 said:
...you have a power literally made for catching up. But ya didnt use it. And while you had bl2 i wouldnt have broken that pallet because its not very safe while you have bloodlust. But yeah theres a good bit of pallets on like the game or garden of pain and if survivors know how to connect them on a good bit of maps.
I’m on console so his ability is almost impossible to control with sticks.
