It doesn't just increase the speed of the suvivors, it increases the speed of any player affected by that gas - so for one it's a great way of crossing the map as the Clown, it can also be used skillfully in chases, it can be used to try to bait a survivor to go where you want them to go for example.
how is 3 seconds of 10% movement speed supposed to help you get across the map?

What they said makes sense.
As it stands currently, Clown’s greatest asset is that he exerts WAY more control on where survivors go during a chase than any other killer.
If there is somewhere I absolutely do not want the survivors to go, I already know where to throw gas in the survivors path to make that survivor change direction. Despite the survivor avoiding the gas, this planning still usually results in me getting in a hit.
Adding in something I can throw that ENCOURAGES where I want them to go AS WELL, will give Clown even more chase control, rather than the current “well I know where the survivor ISN’T going, unless they’re suicidal”
An easy example I can already think of is to throw a tonic at the shack if I can predict the survivor heading towards it. I can also quickly follow that up with throwing an antidote at another close by area that has no pallet or vault.
It’s about tricking the survivor to go exactly where Clown wants survivors to go for an easy hit. The survivors speed boost doesn’t mean anything the moment Clown also runs through the same gas.
Lets talk about skill for a moment tho. A rank 1 survivor doesn't care about the yellow gas, they know your trying to bait them with it. Making it useless in that situation.
The main reason I dont like this "rework" is that I felt clown needed a lil bit of map awareness or control, and instead they just made him chase even better.
These aren't the worst changes in the world. But I wouldn't call them good.

It just sounds like not enough. He will still be weak, his main issue was map awarness and control. And they just made him better at chases (He's already a god at chases, he didn't need more help with them). Very disappointed with this, and the last patch as well.

This patch is... something.
Im concerned about what they DIDN'T mention.
I.E. Keys, Ds/Unbreakable, OoO, and the entire host of absolutely useless perks (Sole Survivor literally doesn't even work, and monstrous shrine is less than useless.)
On top of that, they literally made animations so that teabagging "is still satisfying" I'm sorry, but thats a massive red flag. Rather than trying to reduce toxicity, they literally paid to make an animation for it.

I voted mostly out of hope, I just hate playing against spirit, and because of that, I never play her myself. Honestly tho, they've said that huntress is on the chopping block for a long time now, so she'll probably the next to get nerfed (right after clowns buff)
Hopefully they just rework her addons and clean up the hatchet hitboxes a lil bit, she doesnt need anything other than that.

I would really like to see an Outlast chapter. That franchise has many, many great characters to pick from, and I think gameplay wise it fits really well.

Buying both with shards. Done that for every original chapter. And Halloween gave extra shards 🥳
Great plan, thats probably what I'll do as well, but honestly I don't even know if I want to waste my shards on them. I'm a sucker for 100% this game, so I will probably end up getting them eventually, it just feels like the devs don't care if their terrible or not, I mean, how'd they miss the fact that lockers completely counter them? (I know they announced a "Fix" to lockers, but I feel like it won't be strong enough, the phrase "For a short duration" scares me.)
Anyway, imma stop ranting, thanks for answering fam!

I like the graphics, but I wasn't able to play on it enough during the PTB to give a 100% definitive answer in terms of its gameplay. I will say, there seemed to be WAY too many breakable walls in the main building, like an actual ludicrous amount of breakable walls. The amount of pallets seems to have been reduced which is great, but the size of the map didn't seem to change at all.
Overall pretty good changes, but I just wish they did more with ya know? I really hope they don't do the same thing with Haddonfield, just repaint it and slap breakable walls on the buildings. That would suck.

Top tier bait lad, top tier.
