Yeah that would be insane. Snares are actually useful in a chase, and you can pretty much negate most window loops and the majority of pallets without dropping speed. (The snares are visible, sure, but they also thicc, if you put them in the right places (not even then, because you can just spam them.) survivors can't run around them or disable them like they can with hag or trapper, they just have to either take it or abandon that route.
They could be a little smoother in placement, but they are fine.
I never said Snares weren't useful in a chase, they're one of the better non - Billy or Nurse powers (I would say top 5 but that's an entirely different debate). What I said was the teleport would be useless in a chase because of, once again, all the disadvantages I outlined in my initial post.

NFW. He’s already pretty deadly in the right hands. The last thing we need is him being able to throw them at gates or any other hot spot he wants to cover. Killer mains are already living the good life with EGC.
You are correct he's a good killer, but he's not a top tier killer. SInce the gold standard for balancing is yet unclear to me as I have been offered numerous differing opinions, this was just another discussion in order to try and gauge that.

That would be a yikes from me. You would basically have an on demand 4.6m/s hag that can place traps on the go. If the survivors wake up, you would teleport to a trap that they can't even see (or disarm). You would actually want to stay asleep at that point.
He's already performing very well, that would push him way over the top.
I see I neglected to specifically mention in my post that in this hypothetical situation, Freddy can only teleport to triggered Dream Snares, same as the Hag; my mistake. With this in mind, I don't think the being awake point you made applies, unless I'm missing something. And unlike the Hag, Freddy's trap teleport would see little use in chases and less useful overall than the Hag's - same way that the Cannibal's chainsaw is both different and less useful than the Hillbilly's.

I don't think so that's good either.
I agree that the snares are more visible than mud hexes but you can place them in such a place that even though a survivor see them he has to go through them. Like in those large sheds in Huntress forest where mostly bunkers are or are present on the edge of map with jenny and pallets.
Plus you can place them at windows like trappers traps.
Because Freddy also has the ability to telephoto to a generator. So If I was a smart freddy then I would just injure a survivor so the others think I'm after him and then teleport to them because they least expect it.
So in my defence Freddy is already buff and your power up would just make him super buffed
The thing is, the only areas where a survivor "has" to go through them are at generators, and Freddy can already teleport to generators. This ability would basically only be to punish people who are careless while walking around (though trapping both exit gates in the endgame would be a little too punishing, I will admit.) The channel time is already lengthy enough that he wouldn't be able to use it to immediately slap a survivor, unlike the Blackened Catalyst which is short enough that she can. And once again, I feel like all the disadvantages I outlined above would be enough. All they'd allow him to do are find survivors more easily and mindgame a couple loops.

It's much harder to loop her. Which makes her better than Billy.
Her passive phasing has caused me to down while looping / playing the jungle gym. Of course it's not intentional but it makes looping her much more dangerous even with out Yamaoka's Haunting.

I disagree with you about his comparison to Myers. Unlike Myers, GF can use his stealth and one shot at the same time. He also has a built in soft tracking mechanic with the spotting. Myers has snowball potential but GF can do multiple things at once so he can generate a more steady pressure. Myers only gets real pressure in tier 3, the moment he loses it then his pressure is gone. I agree with you about his snowball potential, but it's a very predictable pattern for him. With GF survivors don't know how much they have been stalked, and good GF players will 99 the stalk if they don't plan to chase them. It puts them more on edge when he pops up around them.
Point here is that Myers is more predictable than GF which makes GF better in some ways. I honestly think they are about equal, they do roughly the same things but in different ways.
This isn't a Ghostface thread but OK.

It does indeed seem to help. I’ve had survivors running right in my direction only to turn and high tail it once they’ve spotted the fully visible “me”
Even without it you can still get a lot of sneaky hits if they're asleep now that lullaby isn't directional; I've had people crouch down right in front of me because they thought I was approaching from the other side of their cover.

Block addons are just plain bad, period. Which is a shame because most of his other addons are all very useful. Reduced actions speed in dream world and sometimes even out of it, dream pallets, reduced teleport cooldown, harder to escape dream world. I am disappointed not many of his addons are game changers like pallets, but snares, while not as useful for actually hitting the survivor in a loop, do allow you to keep loops down to two circles at max but mostly one.
-
The problem is that would also allow Freddy to spam fake teleports on gens, making it much harder for survivors to pinpoint where he's actually going to end up and spooking them off the gen.
-
While the inability to avoid triggering dream snares by crouching may be a sticking point, I feel as though the long channel and recharge time make up for this.

The thing that hurts me the most about this rework is that it's a sign of the gamestate, as it were. There's no room for unique gameplay or killers who have powers that don't help in the chase, because the chase is all there is. Generators finish too fast to dally, and survivors have too many advantages in the chase over m1 killers. The only things that matter in the current gamestate are pressuring gens and downing survivors, which leaves all killers who can't do either of those things to the wayside, no matter how unique their style of gameplay should be (Doctor, Freddy, new Legion). It's just what the game has become and not everyone is going to be pleased about it, and especially not the killers.
-
Currently, Legion is a bore. BHVR turned him into an M1 killer who doesn't do a single thing better or different than another killer. Vaulting pallets and windows is quite useless now that you don't gain anything from hitting a survivor already wounded besides a lengthy stun and obfuscation of your vision. Not to mention it's actually slow enough to get looped on some tight jungle gyms. Being required to wait for the ability to fully recover and the slower movement speed limits its utility, as if you want to pressure gens you have to sacrifice the ability to use FF once you arrive. Deep Wound is utterly nonthreatening, and the slower FF speed prevents you from doing what the devs want you to, which is apply it to multiple targets. Not to mention removing the ability to see the timer prevents any and all intelligent play with the Legion by preventing you from monitoring the status of survivors. There's just nothing you can do with them anymore. No fun to be had, no unique gameplay. Their ability does not help in the chase beyond the first hit, and no other utility outside of that. There's just nothing to this killer, they're about as bland as bland can get.
-
These are all good points, but assume that the devs will make any changes to give him identity moving forward, which I can say with confidence that they will not. They are more interested in making killers balanced than fun, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is now true that Legion has very little unique about him now. Not only that, but with all of his abilities being averaged out to the extreme, it now feels like he excels at nothing, hence why I referred to him as a "blank template killer".
Also @Kurisataru, what do you have against the Stridor + Sloppy + Bloodhound? It seems to me that if a killer lends itself to wounding survivors, advantage should be taken of that. Legion was able to follow blood trails at a longer range thanks to his feral frenzy speed, and the combination of Deep Wound + Feral Frenzy kept survivors in an injured state to take full advantage. Same way that Hillbilly and Nurse lend themselves to using Barbecue and Chili due to their rapid map traversal, or Michael Myers to Monitor and Abuse due to his decreased terror radius and need to stalk. Neither of these can be countered any more reliably then tracking blood.
