Design 8/10
LOL
LMAO even
Design is ABSOLUTE ZERO (-273) out 10.
The design is the worst aspect of the character.
What a joke.

If I made a post about how much I love women upon discovering that one of the DBD characters was a heterosexual woman, would that get pinned to the top of the forum? 🤔

Why is the teabag still not fixed? I mean, it has no other meaning than to attract attention or humiliate the killer. Literally, a feature whose only purpose is to make the game more toxic.
Moreover, the butt dance looks completely unrealistic. Can you squat with that frequency? I can't. Why not add a flashlight-like delay? This will be enough for a quick stealth or sprint from a crouch, so this change will not hurt the game.
So why is that still a thing?
Grow a thicker skin.
Nearly the entire playerbase needs to do this any way.
I've never once been bothered by a teabag. If they're doing that, they're not gaining distance or doing something productive.
Easier for me in the long run.
-
Me personally, I dislike it more when they disconnect even though I know they'll get a penalty for it

The developers have said repeatedly that it is not cheating and does not give a significant advantage in the majority of cases.
All the SWF players using the advantage came to give you a Vote Up
They don't want to jeopardize their clear advantage over solo queue players, so they up voted your comment.
-
Solo queue is unplayable
The game is rapidly losing player base as more and more people realize this.

The rank system gains bloodpoints and requires certain actions to gain ranks.
If a persons objective is to gain ranks as fast as possible to maximize bloodpoints at reset, the most effective way to do that is to get out of bad matches as fast as possible, and with no depips you can do this without penalty.
At that point you may as well just make it that you just have to play X amount of matches to go up a level and forego the pip system entirely. 10 games per rank play 100 games on each side and your done.
I unironically think that is a better system.
Ranks don't mean anything. The blood point sink across the entire game is MASSIVE.
You don't gain pips if you delete yourself on hook or play badly, but you also don't suffer from others doing the same by depipping, and when you have 3 other people on your team, that's 3 other vectors for that to happen, which makes it more likely generally speaking.
Everyone plays badly in some games, but I'm willing to bet most people would freely admit that they suffer from others playing bad games more often.
This change would remedy that problem.
>you can pip without escaping
You can pip up currently as a killer without actually killing any one.

I think you need to follow your own advice.
Killer is only better when you are bad at the game. When you have ~1000 hours the game becomes a joke as survivor. If everyone plays efficiently you can win almost every game. That does not happen every game because people love to meme around with locker head on builds or they might be "throwing" the game to finish tomes.
There are no survivor mains who are saying Killer>Survivor if we momentarily exclude Nurse and Blight. Yes those two killers are broken compared to everything else. But so is SWF and all three of those elements need to be nerfed tremendously.
I think you've gone up against SWF players on voice comms a few times and that is forming the basis of your opinion.
I never play SWF. Always solo queue, and it's hell. I am dying probably 90% of all games.
When I play killer, I'm almost always getting a 4k. At least a 3k when I shut the hatch and am not close to the gate that last survivor is at. Even against SWF players that are clearly coordinating, using flashlights and other tactics like that.
I don't even use Eruption or CoB. I like Pain Res much more.
Those games are more arduous, but you just simply exploit their altruism, and you'll win. It's not that difficult, and can be pretty fun.
Playing solo queue survivor is not fun whatsoever.
So 1 person gets to have fun, 4 people get to not have fun. Every single game.
Not good game design.

I didn't mention SWF, I mentioned

I think you're saying this because you went up against an organized SWF on voice comms a few times and it forms the basis of your opinion.
I never play SWF and I'm constantly getting destroyed as a survivor. 80 to 90% of the time.
When I play killer, I almost always get a 3 or 4k. Even against organized skilled players.
-
I'm not sure how much more killer centric this game can get.
Might as well nerf circle of healing and get that killer win rate up towards 100%.
-
I just don't understand it.
The rank system doesn't actually mean anything. No ladder exists that I know of. No one cares.
It's only for the blood points when the 13th rolls over. Serves no other purpose. I can understand not pipping upward, but losing pips over things completely out of your control is ludicrous.

We getting it, yet?
Yeah great point, it's better that they dodge in the game by deleting themselves on hook and ruining the game for the other people after all the loading is complete, which is what happens now.

Windows of Opportunity is sitting around a 31% usage rate (https://nightlight.gg/perks). Can we give this perk the "iron will" treatment?
This perk makes you better in a chase because it tells you where all the pallets are. Exhaustion perks do the same thing.
Therefore is it not logical to make it so that this perk doesn't work if you are exhausted?
The game already heavily favors killers.
Just get better at the game.
Survivor abilities need to be buffed.
-
Meant to say that this point system needs to be looked at.
The game is full of people who are making terrible plays and the fact they either allow themselves to get downed and hooked 3 times, or tunneled, or delete themselves on the first hook means that I either lose rank, or don't gain rank.
That shouldn't happen.
It's completely out of my control.
You're actively punishing people who don't play SWF by having this system work this way.

Ps4....
And as i said i know about the checks, but since i came back to the game today, everytime i check, the gen still explode.
Its like if there was a perk where if we dont precisely check on the exact spot like we need to do sometimes, but now its like that All the time so i cant even play.
Was there a new perk added for killers where survivors not only have to check, but to check the super precise little bar thats within the check??
If so is there a survivor perk to counter it???
Because its permanent.
I gtg sleep right now but ill be checking back here tommorrow.
Thank you very much.
Sounds like Overcharge

These are getting out of hand. They are actively causing us to fail or get reduced points or whatever. Is there gonna be any changes with this
They could try to balance the game.
Try ANYTHING. So far they've tried NOTHING.
Meanwhile nearly 50% of the playerbase has stopped playing in the last.. what? 6 months? Or less?
It won't improve until the game improves, and it shouldn't.

Or BHVR can stop babying players and let adults police their own behaviour.
90% of the problems with this game are in fact problems with other players, and BHVR can only do so much with the game design to discourage those things.
You, and other players, should realise that prestige ultimately means nothing. You could put all your BP into one character, or you could get 10 characters to P10, and it takes the same amount of time.
If they were going to do that, there would be voice chat or at least text chat in the game.
No, BHVR clearly wants to baby SOMEONE. Evidence in this case indicates easily bruised egos, like killer mains.
The game meta and design reflects this as well and compounds the issue.

This game is survivor sided and yet you want killers and their perks nerfed? After your wishes are granted, what perks will you complain about next? Killer aura perks? Ha ha don't make me laugh. I can't wait for 2023 and what their new complaints are going to be.
The game is survivor sided
No
I feel that you just got rolled as a killer, possibly by a SWF and now you think everyone is doing that all the time.
They aren't.

What seems more probable:
- They don't know how to balance well
- It's a sneaky plot to squeeze extra money out of players
I mean really. #2 is much less likely.
Everyone knows it can only be one thing, never two or more.
-
The game isn't balanced, I will never stop hook suiciding while in a bad game until that changes.
It doesn't even appear that the developers care to try, many people have made good suggestions, they implement or even test NONE OF THEM, so I won't care to try either.
-
They could solve this easily even by allowing text chat but they're afraid someone's feeling will get hurt by some banter or something and so the piss-baby mentality reigns

But you won't. You'll be back. And more new people will replace you in the meantime.
The game has lost nearly 50% of the active players within the last 4 months?
-
It's quite clear they plan to completely abandon the game in favor of whatever garbage they release next.
Thanks for spending your money by the way!
-
Killers being able to hit you really far through a window or over a pallet
Seriously, the range is insane
Don't like CoH? Stamp it out. It makes a sound, so find it.
Don't like Dead Hard? Bait it or just spend 5 more seconds in a chase, that's seriously all the time it buys you. If you're not following up after a DH and getting a down anyway, then it's a skill issue.
Killers shouldn't be complaining about anything the game has never been easier for you.
It's clear the developers absolutely hate survivors.
Not sure why though considering they make up 4/5ths of every game
No wonder you've lost nearly 50% of active players in the last few months
-
Stop trying to be some kind of killer saint. You don't get any points for that.
Use eruption or CoB (just one at first) if you have them. Maybe both if you're still struggling.
Give yourself a leg up.
Then once you get more confident or better or whatever it is, stop using them.
I run eruption a fair amount (don't own Sadako) but most of the time don't even end up utilizing it.
I never try hard as killer though so I don't think my MMR is that high, my advice may not be worth much.
-
The pallets aren't destroyed because those leave wood pieces on the ground, I mean they just aren't there. Anywhere.
Is it just bad luck? Is there a minimum? A maximum? Neither?
-
I would also like to see my MMR and maybe that of the other people you're playing with so you can determine the skill level of others in relation to yourself and the killer. That makes it possible to see or at the very least understand the level of challenge being presented by the various factors.
The fact that it's a mystery leads to DCing and hook suiciding.
I personally feel that mine is too high now because I've got level 1 prestige on my survivors and I'm being paired with people that have 30+ prestige levels including the killer, but this isn't even a true indicator because the two things are uncoupled.
Honestly each time they make these kinds of changes and make it hard to make any kind of determination of your fellow players, the game gets worse.
-
Being a solo survivor is punished just by playing the game. The developers hate you if you do this.
I have no idea why, but that's the way the developers intended. They'll probably never improve it.
-
I think it's the addons making everything so much more difficult, thanks for the advice.
I think maybe I'm just not a good survivor.
I can't loop well, it always feels like there's nowhere to do it. Whenever I get to a spot, it turns a 10 second chase into a 15 second chase and that doesn't mean much or do anything for the team. Everywhere feels like a Deadzone to me.
-
Being a survivor is punishing enough already. Killing self on hook in what you know to be a waste of time game is the only way to circumvent that.
It the developers made it possible for survivors to make a come back, maybe they'd stay, but since they haven't done that, and you can't make a come back once the game starts to snowball, then there is no reason to keep trying.
