  • Is it too much to ask to maybe play as the specific killer and learn their tactics and playstyles to combat them when playing survivor? Just me then. I don't mind playing against the spirit. Every killer can be anticipated. It helps to learn workarounds for their powers instead of getting them nerfed because people cant stand to use some sense.

  • 4 survivors on a gen, and theyve had a toolbox or 2. It sucks but it happens. Also you went the wrong direction at the start. Just bad luck.

Anyone play for fun?? I'm tired of see killer who want just kills if they have to facecamp they will do it and don't give a chance to that person to play. And I see survivors just repearing like bots to scape. DC to give the friend the hatch sucks yes, but the rank don't give you anything, the blood points u can gain more at next match... The game still need a rework, cause 90% of match are campers, tunneler or Gen rushers

Honestly I find a lot of these forums funny because i literally play for fun lol I still enjoy the thrill of out smarting either side (respectfully). To me, thats the real purpose of the game. And if you come across a camper/tunneler/locker camper etc just deal with them as your skill allows and move on. Maybe consider a different load out :)

I miss it. I had old matches where I'd be the last survivor with 3 gens to do and actually get them finished because the killer just wanted to loosely pat but stay near the hatch or hard camp it. Now, with high mobility killers and door RNG, if I am the last player standing I usually just go do totems or open chests and accept my fate. It is a much less enjoyable way to end a game.

True :( I like the idea of having a timer but you may just give up if you are against trapper, hag, hillbilly, doctor and more

Seriously, stop with this nonsense that I wouldn't get hit with it if I didn't tunnel. Someone got unhooked I chased their HEALTHY savior, downed them with two hits, headed back to Pop a gen and see the person on the way so I down them, silly me I should have realized that it's literally easy enough to down survivors so quick that you still eat a DS.

Leave the timer at a minute, heck make the timer two minutes if you want, make it FIVE minutes but it automatically deactivates once someone else is hooked and I would support that change from both sides.

That seems like an unnecessary change to make for such a rare occurrence. If I see that same survivor in a short period of time I'll just leave them for a while. I can understand that it deactivates after a hook but I wouldn't like my perk being deactivated by another survivor lol

I personally would prefer old hatch back. The test of wills was fun IMO.

It seemed more fair the old hatch. If the killer was camping the hatch, work a gen and startle him a bit :) I loved seeing them panic when I complete a gen and they contemplate locating me lol

  • It's like when they teabag at the exit gate even though someone's on the hook. To me it's not a victory if you don't attempt to save them. But yeah it's a real problem also having the second last survivor camp on the hatch or the exit. Hopefully they update it to make this less of an issue in the future

  • I have the same issue. I honestly don't know how to escape except hope I get lucky and he places his trap slightly wrong. Same as Billy, he can skip between gates especially if they're in close proximity

Following that logic, "genrushing" aka focussing on getting the job done would be against "the spirit of the game", too, because a part of the community is complaining about this.

Well if they're solely doing gens and not other things like rescuing survivors, healing, cleansing totems and just interacting with the game in general... Yeah. It probably is a problem.

Who decides what's "the spirit of the game"?

You are talking about some made-up "rules" where the killer has to play generously, is not allowed to play efficiently, has to be the fun-provider for the survivors and where at the same time survivors are very well allowed to focus on getting their objective done.

Us. The players, who else? I'm not saying anything about rules at all. It may not be illegal or against the 'rules' but there's a reason why people complain about it. Same as survivors who hide in lockers and just crouch around a rock. This is ' surviving ' but still bullshit. There's a reason why there's a score penalty for staying near hook

  • Yes, yes it is. Arguably, against the spirit of the game is camping the hook tbf..

A killer can play however they want.. if a survivor doesn't want tunneled use ds.. if they dont want slugged.. use unbreakable... if they dont want camped play swf with bt... anyone can play how they want.

I completely agree. I don't mind how people play or if I get harassment. If I get camped or tunnelled I just use DS and Borrowed Time. Especially after rank reset where it's common. I'm not saying harassment is justified, I'm just saying it's inevitable by the way you play. I get harassed for using DS and honestly don't care.

They can't punish people for sending messages through Xbox or the PS network. That's on Microsoft/Sony to punish people for harassing you. BHVR can't do anything.

It's like trying to get BHVR to punish someone for something they said on Discord or Skype.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/863729#Comment_863729

That's still no reason to harass someone.

How would you feel if killers harassed you for doing generators, or for saving teammates, or looping?

I never said it's a reason to harass someone..? but it IS going to attract bad messages in reality. And the things you've listed cannot be compared to camping and tunneling, it's the objective.

  • Well, are you camping Or tunneling like they say? I don't condone harassment ofcourse but this sounds like the cause.

  • I play survivors mostly and I don't mind ruin. I especially love when thrill of the hunt is on too because I taunt the killer and sometimes be a great distraction for my team. But ruin isn't a big issue in my opinion. It creates a separate objective and lengthens the game. Nothing worse than a quick game for both sides. And besides there's plenty of chances to counter it. You can luckily spawn beside it, have 'Small Game' equipped, have a killer protecting it all game or just being able to play through it.

  • I think the hatch should spawn in when the second last survivor dies. That way your hatch hunt begins and you can't let them die because you are sitting on the hatch. Happens so often to me where I'm.hooked for the very first time and am hanging there for the full red bar watching the other survivors aura staying in one place, making zero attempt to heal or help me. I hate the Endgame Collapse too... Can be very unfair for both parties in different scenarios.

  • I usually have Decisive strike and borrowed time to balance between myself and my teammates being camped. Kindred is helpful too so others can see where the killer is. Unfortunately once off the hook it's down to yourself to get clear before they down you again. Sometimes avoidable and sometimes not. So... I guess just hope you have good teammates to help you, or promote team play and go for the save when possible.

  • In my humble opinion DS is a great perk and doesn't need a nerf. I use it when rank reset occurs because more often than not, the killer lets me be rescued from the hook and then hits me when his path is clear. Too many times I've been farmed at the hook and with my internet taking 20 minutes to get into the game, it feels warranted to me, to help me get a decent experience in-game. But I understand from survivor and killer perspectives, the 60 second timer can be a bit ... Yeah. The only ways I can see to counter it, would be to leave them on the ground if you suspect it, or a possible nerf would be to link it to the terror radius?

So all these times when after getting unhooked survivor proceeds to unhook other survivors, work on totems, work on gens, jump in lockers is definetely very situational.

You get absolute immunity for 60 seconds regardless of killer actually being around or not.

I can see how you would find it annoying. I think it's a good counter to being immediately downed after being rescued. And I wouldn't say it's an 'absolute' immunity, I find myself missing my skill check more often that getting it lol maybe if the perk was linked in some way to the killers terror radius it might work better. Like if the killer is all the way across the map it doesn't activate?
