ππππ what are those polls

Meaningless distinction, dbd can still be balanced & fun. Casual and competitive players will end up where their skill and perks can carry them. If they want to melt their face off in high MMR, whom am I to stop them? People ask for different modes all the time, yet its not like the existence of such modes would make it impossible for a casual player to be higher skill than you anyway, you can still run into those people with different modes.
Exactly. Pointless POLL.
Where do people get these useless thoughts? π
When BHVR stops collecting populistic suggestions/complaints, backed up by player's trivial and subjective arguments instead of objective analysis by developer before accepting it as a real change that is necessarry for game, not β¬β¬, you will see the first major changes for both sides.
BHVR even doesn't know the age of player who complains about "problems in game". Maybe it is 15yo complaining, because their friend told them something is a "problem"(misheard something else) and they just started to believe it and shout on all platforms, not thinking with their brains. I know these chain reactions, even if absurd. Like OTZ was spending time to explain in his stream again and again that Woo is fine and doesn't need a nerf or he and other content creators tried to explain that DH is NOT a problem!!! But BHVR looks at numbers and:
"oh look we have +/- same problem 2345times mentioned from killers about DH-lets include it to nerfs"
They DONT CARE....WAKE UP
-
OMG π do we even play same game? I guess not.
For those who's brains are still not calculating π First step - check if an update is missing. (JOKE)
The post is about DBD survivor life. Years of nerfing, including nowhere mentioned surv basekit nerfs that shadowbuffed killer gameplay quality, about neverending "lets nerf this now", "and now we killers don't like this one". This will never end...even after avg killrate was "ballanced"(40surv:60killers π) and all its related changes. These infinite nerfs and decreasing or problematic game quality for survs including game code for everyone, will continue... till the game dies....either by survivors quitting or BHVR waking up and starting to think and care.
Most survs I know make these jokes for a long time already...about these little, practically unnoticable things in DBD, but who are there and make difference...and ofcourse "normal" changes that lately are chosen by repeat or random functionsπ
I am surprised every comment I got, I got from completely clueless players. GG I guessππ Now I see why game is where it is. When all suggested changes are taken from this forum πππ and not analysed
p.s. if u believe BHVR informs us about every change in the game - sorry to break it to u, but NO π₯² Nor they care about game in general. They shifted DBD from "hell playing Killer" to "hell playing surv" in one moment. EZ π€£ its fixed
Ok..now I go eat my shnicel. Byeeee

From all the current things happening in game, you chose to post THE MOST USELESS concern
-
My thoughts are:
Too much to express them, not in a good way, considering latest dev.update.
-
Yes! I have the exact situation with less than 50ms ping. Usually 45ms.
What I have noticed is when all 4 survivors are alive, you get those crazy hits which are annoying af, and with every killed survivor hits are becoming more normal. In some matches it is very distingt!
Have been playing DBD ess and less because of these neverending survivor bugs...one of main reasons is BHVR that doesnt hear survivors when they tell - HEY!! WE HAVE PROBLEMS! These hits are in game for atleast last 6 months

How much time do you think a flashlight save cost the killer?
- but they are fine right? because thats the killer that loose time and not the survivors (btw.. the killer is the one in a hurry, because gens are getting done while he/she waste time and when the gens are done, the game is over).
Gens are going too fast as it is, for the slow moving killers anyway.
Let me put this video here, just to illustrate.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_nsrd1IZiQ&t=116s
I had written a lot more text, but i think Otzdarva says pretty much what i wrote and more, so i see no point in repeating that.
I am a survivor main and I agree that slow moving killers need good gen regressing perks. What I think is the problem is for some killers they are way too strong like any other perk. Perks should have different affect for different types of killers. Nurse can blink from gen to gen and use overcharge on 4 gens while pig will sweat her pants and maybe do it on 2... not mentioning nurse on small map and pig on big map. It shouldnt be that the same perk is OP for one and this is the problem

ones cheating, the other is using a feature
not comparable
Not sure what you call a "feature" and what you mean with your argument in general

randomly spiking to 120+ ping and rubber banding everywhere. anyone else?
I even checked, it was everyone else in my lobby getting it, so its not a client problem
Yes! Often I get crazy range hits due to something on their side. This is big problem that bhvr don't take seriously and don't resolve it. It makes gameplay so poor and killers are the ones who benefit in these situations. Together with cheating VPN killers.
My ping is around 50ms before someone tries to say its my problem.

Becoming the object of tunnelling isn't a skill issue. It is killer's choice (and in most cases pretty profitable strategy).
Death by tunnelling also isn't a skill issue because survivors are supposed to be caught sooner or later. If killer wants to tunnel you out, they will tunnel you out, and they are able to do so in reasonable (for them) time unless sbmm screwed the killer up by matching them with better survivor than they should be matching with.
Being tunnelled out at 5 gens can be a skill issue, but if you/your teammates are constantly being tunnelled out at 5 gens it isn't a skill issue too, it's sbmm issue indeed.
Yes, you can prevent yourself from being first victim but then killer find another victim to tunnel and camp. And changing loadout can't make tunnelling/camping non-existent or more fun. It could make it longer. It's faster to just ######### and go next in hope next killer won't be that sweaty and stomping that you can't help but be downed 20 seconds in match. That's why sbmm was implemented, after all, and yet it doesn't help.
Like, yeah, I get your point, I personally don't get tunneled so much. But every first-ish game killers at least try to tunnel and(or) camp someone. Yes, sometimes it's not me. Yes, sometimes it's even 4E. Still, I feel being cheased and scummed. And if next game I'm the one who is first to be downed I can imagine how hard the rest of the game could be for me (with 90% probability). I quit the game before I'm THAT tilted, and I think those people should manage their salt better but I can feel them very well.
You can give Sisyphus any advice you want but sometimes it doesn't matter how fast or slow your rock roll down. The fact of it inevitably rolling down again and again is all that matter.
Using weak parts of games design to win the match makes it an exploitation by definition. If you have played other games you must know that every action by one side needs to be counterable by the other. This is literally how games are build. Keep camping and tunneling but in this case survivors must have stronger counters and killers should recieve some penalty for that. It is not normal that you advise survivors to suicide and to just play next match. I want to see how you play against decent blight nurse bubba wesker spirit trickster that tunnels because against their tunneling there are no counters. These are the matches that you understand that something is very wrong with this game and tunneling "strategy".

DS just needs the 5 seconds back. It was fine once the endgame change went through but they nerfed it due to pick rate and nothing else really
Or take the deep wound "effect" from off the record

Not on the killer side (unless you go way back to like, year one and two, which I'm less knowledgeable about), but there have been survivor perks even more busted than current Eruption.
That doesn't detract from Eruption being overtuned, though. It does need addressing. Not "nerfed into the ground", but rather retooled to be at an acceptable strength with different effects, at least imo. The Incapacitated needs to go, but it also needs to be replaced with something, or there won't be any reason to run the perk.
Exactly! Incapacitated needs to go! It makes absolutely no sense to ban my every action for 30seconds because I was doing my primary objective as survivor - a gen!!!
It would be the same to ban killers hits for 30 seconds because they downed a survivor. It is st**id.

I am more amazed by the amount of Us vs Them topics on this forum.
You would be surprised to learn that this is asymmetric game, but to be completely honest, if BHVR won't change so much so often, think twice or more before releasing new killers, actually resolve bugs and gameplay problems in game and get avg killrates to 50% in all MMR, then this forum wont be "they and us"!

Speed is secondary if you don't have big family that uses all of router's CPU and resources plus speedtest is pinging your internet service providers server not DBD's amazon server.
First get in the actual game and check your connections through resource monitor or some other prog. There should be a few, but the right one is EC2***** and something. If you use windows resource monitor, it should show your latency aswell.
In case of a high latency, there could be many reasons starting with your local networks infrastructure (in home), your background data traffic that you can reduce significantly (I understand u have never done that), your routers capability based on its real-time load including it's settings, devices between your PC and router if on wifi like wifi repeators (use LAN), don't forget to update your routers firmware and PC drivers in general, maybe your LAN cable is damaged and so on...you can put your PC as traffic priority in router settings that will send and receive all YOUR data before other connections. And then there are far more complicated things like port forwarding ect.
P.S. It is interesting how BHVR gets that ping, because latency between me and DBD ec2 server is 115ms, but in game ping is shown around 50.

OMG! This is funny considering the fact that there are ton of killer perks that are allways on and very debatable on they same way. Just stop and leave survivors alone they have been nerfed for way too long and painfully. That perk is fine!
Not everyone plays this game 16h per day for them to know every pallet and window spawn. Plus pallets are hard to see in game environment. And if you as a killer have problems with this perk then you need to check on your skill not survivor perks...
