  • I got the map once. Ghostie didn't give a chance to look around, so no opinion yet.

  • If you're worried about a teammate or yourself being tunneled or slugged, start using Off the Record, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Babysitter, Camaraderie, Reassurance, Kindred, Bloodrush + sprintburst, Shoulder the Burden, etc for hooks. Start bringing unbreakable, Boon - Exponential, Soul Guard, Tenacity, Flip-Flop, We're Going to Live Forever, Power Struggle, For the People, etc for slugging.

Tunneling and slugging are valid strats, even if they are toxic. Better to adapt and play around preventing it happening, or benefiting from it as long as possible.

  • I get Exultation and Invocation - Trasherous Crows.

Hardened, Boon - Illumination, and Deadline aren't THAT bad though.

I think Rookie Spirit, Boon - Dark Theory, and Moment of Glory are worse.

  • What happened to distortion was heartbreaking for me, but I expected it since both killers and survivors were complaining about it.

I don't think Counterforce will have that happen. If anything, Thrill of the Hunt is going to take an L this time.

    My ideas

    Counterforce
Cleanse and Bless totems 20% faster
Every time a totem is cleansed by any survivor, you gain 1 token. Each token increases your cleansing and blessing speed by 20%
When you finish cleansing a totem, the aura of the totem farthest from you is revealed to you until you are 16 meters from it

    Small Game
    Keep the notification
When you cleanse a dull totem, reveal the killer's aura to all survivors for 8 seconds. If it's a hex totem, the aura is revealed for 12 seconds

And some other perks as well

    Better Than New
Increases their Action speeds for Blessing, Cleansing, Healing, and Unlocking by 30/40/50 %.

    Calm Spirit
    Remove the pointless penalty

    Inner Strength
Add blessing as well, but can only activate once per totem

All for buffing counterforce and better than new.

It doesn't even work on stealth killers because it requires the terror radius. Imagine equipping this perk and getting matched against Wraith or Ghostface.

Maybe one day BHVR will introduce survivor instinct...NOT

  • I will open chest and cleanse totems whenever I want regardless.

Invocation perks are worthless if you then have to be broken the rest of the match. I get it, they can't be gimmies, but the downside of being one hit, and injured (so noisier unless you want to bring a perk to silence yourself), on top of taking an entire minute to activate (the time it takes to activate I'm actually ok with), make you not want to even bother.

If I were to make one tweek, I'd change being broken the entire match to just making it temporary. I'm down for leaving that to a substantial amount of time (3 minutes maybe? IDK), or until 2-3 gens are done. Not sure exactly, just not broken the entire match.

I like a new mechanic and invocation perks have promise but a generic "broken for the rest of the match" as a given for all of them (at least for the two we now have) is a no go for me, I just won't use them.

Don't get me wrong, there has to be some cost to use it, and the 60 seconds it takes to cast it on it's own is not enough. There's a middle ground they can land on for sure

I read a post the other day where someone said broken should be exclusive to Weaving Spider and the crow one should exclusively apply oblivious (Good idea imo). I like the idea of your tweek. Maybe being broken until a teammate dies or the exit gates are powered since we can choose when in the match to use invocation.

  • I recently made a post about how I think daily rituals need an update. I'll link it if you want to read it.

So I've been thinking about it for a while now and I think daily rituals are due for an update. I've had the same 3 daily rituals for the past year, and haven't even bothered to complete or reroll them, due to them being unrewarding, forgettable, and forcing me to play a role I don't want to (Survivor main). If there have been changes made to them already, I'm not aware. Either way, what are some changes you would make to improve the daily rituals?

Some changes I would make would be:

    • Separate daily rituals for both roles at all times (3 for surv, 3 for killer) with one reroll for each side.
    • Adjust rewards (rift fragments for current tome, player XP, or Iri shards along with the blood points).
    • Add more variety for the objectives.
    • Increase objective quantity (example: 5 health states instead of 3, or 3 moris instead of 1)

For Survivor, remove all rituals that require playing as a specific character since there is no gameplay difference. Keep rituals that focus on doing typical survivor actions (healing health states, unhooks, cooperative actions, generator repair, exit gates, escape, chase time, hook sabotage) Add additional survivor actions to those rituals (cleanse totems, great skill checks, killer stuns/blinds, vaulting in chase, escaping chase, hiding close to killer, protection hits, avoiding m1s, etc.)

For Killer, keep all current rituals. Add in more rituals that focus on typical killer objectives (injuring survivors, downing, hooking, sacrificing, damaging gens, breaking pallets/walls, etc.)

For both roles, I'd personally love to have glyph challenges also appear in the daily rituals and not be locked behind tomes. I love yellow and pink glyphs so much!

That's really all I can think of for improving daily rituals. I would love some feedback on my ideas and to hear what you all might do instead to improve daily rituals.

As for advice, it's a pretty selfish build but you could throw on wake up + sole survivor + other perks + hatch killer shack offering. You can try for 3 scenarios:

    1. You can play the match as normal. Final gen is close to being completed (85-90%). Go to a door preemptively to start opening it asap. If a teammate 99% an exit gate, you can simply open it and complete the daily.
    2. The match goes south. Start playing stealthy and let your teammates die. Hatch offering will make it spawn at killer shack (this should help to prevent slugging for 4k). Make your way to the door furthest from shack before it spawns. Sole survivor will give 50% bonus speed on opening the gate + the 25% from wake up (until BHVR changes it soon) for 75% speed. This is usually enough to open and escape before most killers can make it to you.
    3. Don't bring hatch offering and game goes south. Killer slugs or doors are next to each other. Hide and let teammates bleed out. Killer search for hatch while you wait at the gate. Killer closes hatch and work on door instantly.

I usually bring clairvoyance so that I can see where hatch spawned and then go to the farthest door from it for that daily. I hate to do that to the team but sometimes it's the only way I can get that daily done.

  • I kind of understand your struggle with her. I played her a bit and she just felt kinda "sluggish?" at first. I don't have much else to add that other people haven't already said. Only tip I can add is while you're setting crows in chase to lock down loops, try to line them up with generators as well. Helps with slowdown and applying more pressure imo.

  • I'm not a tech wiz, especially with internet so I can't really answer your question. What about your Upload speeds on both your wifi and personal data? I used to have huge jumps in ping and and crazy lag in the past due to my upload speeds being trash. Maybe that could point you in the right direction?
