Another year with this cosmetic not being fixed. Please.

  • Some months later, and the sword still had no change lol. Cant belive that they did an entire new cosmetic recolor for Houndmaster in the anniversary, but Oni's deep rift sword still is the same as the base rift cosmetic

Atleast the outfit is a different color, there's been alot of deep rift cosmetics for killers that end up being exactly the same color as the normal rift version. I'm just glad they decided that bright neon pink veins weren't correct for the Oni's bloody sword and finally changed it to the color of blood

Yep! I know that the outfit is a whole different color, but that is why the post only focuses on the Slaughter Blade.
In fact, something similar happened with Knight's deep rift sword in the last rift (rift 22), where his sword was the exact same as the deep rift recolor. They noticed the mistake and gave Knight a deep rift version of his sword

The fact that it got fixed and changed gives me hope that they'll be able to fix Oni's sword in a future patch. At least I hope so!

  • Same happened here! Hopefully they'll be able to fix it soon

  • I wanted to revive this a little bit because it's been a month and the swords has not been added to the game. There has been some hotfixes already and even Chucky was added, but the deep rift recolor sword has been the same. PLEASE just add it, Im begging. Thank you

Good find. 99,999% its just an oversight and once made aware off, they will just swap out the propper textures in the next hotfix.

What I find a bit more disconcerning is The Twins outfit: a couple of tomes back The Twins were one of the showcase killers and permiered this exact outfit.

Not its back as a recolor and thats really sad; I mean, I don't mind free stuff, but The Twins are about the most neglected killer and the only attention they get is a recolor of the last free cosmetic they got. Thats just one notch over a re-color of their base cosmetic :D Oh what a time to be alive for a Twin player.

I mean, it's a cool recolor imo. And at least it's something, there are some killers that don't get much love...and of course, Twins is one of them. At least it's something! and that outfit it's from like 6 rifts ago, from april of 2022 if Im not wrong, so it's good to see that at least they get something

Nah this perk was long overdue. Ever since the final exhaustion nerf to where it doesn't come back 50% slower while running it has been used. So that's at least 5 years this perk has been allowed to just thrive in the overpowered monstrosity it is.

Overall I'm in the boat of "nerf exhaustion as a whole" cause I doubt they'll be reducing map sizes anytime soon.

Im literally so tired of playing against 3 or 4 of them per matches. Ngl, I made that post because I just came back tired from school to have some fun, and the first match drove me insane and I wanted to cry so much because of it. I need the, just to rework THIS perk

  • Hex: Huntress Lullaby. I would use it, but the fact that I have to hook 5 people before and that can get destroyed in the start of the match makes it pointless imo, because it doesn't reward you for doing all of that. If it started already with 5 stack it would make it better and not op (because it's not really a super good hex)

  • I personally think that Im in very low mmr, because I often lose more than win (from 15 matches I just won 5, and lose 10, wich means that Im a bad player if Im correct lol)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/311996/blight-players-are-good-but-they-are-all-the-same

I call bullshit so hard here. I believe you when you say that the perks and add-ons were probably the same on all the Blights that you faced, but even if a Blight you versed ran a non-sweaty build, I doubt that you'd go and say anything positive afterwards. In fact I'm pretty sure you'd be even more upset at losing to a Blight with a bad build.

And why do I say this.

Well for roughly about 2 months now I've been running, Brutal Strength, Fire-up, Bamboozle, BBQ and Adrenaline Vial and Blighted Crow. Do I get anyone commenting about how refreshing it is to see something other than the meta build. Never, not once. Do I have anyone commenting on how it's nice to see someone using something other than alchemist ring, never.

So, even if a Blight were to do exactly as you asked, you would just huff and puff about something else.

What? I faced Blight's that were actually good and that don't run meta perks, or even that only run two perks (Mostly being BBQ and NOED, wich I don't mind tbh) and when I see that they were playing like that Im like "oh, it didn't have speed addons? wow, he actually played so well that I though he had!" or "Well, at least he's not running slowdown perks...I respect that".

But you want me to be in the end game chat things like "oh my god, you played super well Mr.Blight player! <333"? No, I just say "ggwp" and then I left. I don't get those comments neither when I played with "bad" builds with no slowdown with killer, or when I don't run meta perks when Im a survivor, and I don't believe that a ton of people do same.

In fact, once when I played killer I asked the survivors if they were swf, and when all of them said no I then put "Oh! you all played so well that I though you were a swf!" and I recieve a "nah, we're all alone, you're just bad". So when Im even going out of my way to say positive things about the other side I just recieve insults, so don't talk when you literally know nothing

This is just a function of people learning to use a killer optimally. If there's an effective way to accomplish something, many people will figure it out an use it. You will get some outliers, but generally a group of people using the same killer optimally are going to feel very, very similar.

On the flipside, I would say virtually all higher MMR survivors play the same way, with negligible variation. And moreso the higher you get.

This is a big reason I don't enjoy higher MMR that much; on both sides I know what my opponent is going to do, they know what I am going to do, within a margin of error. You have a base of players who are playing at near optimal level, and that all looks really similar.

I want to think that my mmr is low because I lost a ton of matches, and I kinda want to lose on purpose just to lower it and have a bettet time.

I don't run meta perks for both sides, because I feel that Im depending of them, but I just played with Deathslinger with Dead Man's Switch and Pain resonance, and I won. I won, but I felt like there was no challenge (got 4k and 4 gens left), and I was using addons and that just made me feel that there is some people that never gets bored of that

Idk what else to say, but maybe I should go back to non-meta perks and addonless (or maybe not, because that is stupid and it's sabotagging myself lol)

  • For clarify some things: Yes, I know that survivors are boring the majority of times, don't get me wrong. Im a killer main, I know that is so frustrating and boring going against the same 6 perks all the matches, and that's why I try different perks and things in both sides: I don't run DH or DS or even CoH (only exception being BT, because I don't want my teammates to die in hooks), because those perks are super annoying to face against. I like Tenacity, Distorsion, those kind of things

Im not talking bad about Blight players as an "Entitled survivor main", but I have been playing survivor to complete some rift challenges and that's why I started to noticing the Blight thing. I know that a lot of Blight players are super good at the game, but the majority of those Blight players have the same things and I just noticed it

Im also confused because the devs nerfed twins addons because some pros were super with them, ignoring the low and medium mmr players. So...why Blight didn't? I saw some people talking about this much before I did, so it was a problem to a lot of people that they still didn't changed, wich just makes me confused lol

But after that, I aprecciate all your responses, it helps me a lot tbh, and maybe I should try meta perks and addons maybe (nah Im kidding lol, I like to play addonless)

Hope you all of you the best! :D
